Was scheduled for a new patient appointment to be held via a telehealth service. I checked to make sure my device was compatible and logged in at the appropriate time. I stayed online for 30 minutes and the provider never showed up. No one contacted me or advised that my appointment was running behind or had to be canceled. I called and left multiple messages on the office number. Never got a call back or an explanation as to why my appointment was apparently canceled. Incredibly rude considering I had to call out of work for the appointment time.

I can’t stress more what a terrible place this is to receive care!! Don’t go here! They need to have their licensing taken. I’ve been an RN for 30 years and have received care 38 years and have never seen such terrible behavioral health care as I’ve seen here. The building is dirty and delapitated, the front reception staff are unfriendly and rude, not once was I evaluated by the psychiatrist, they over charge and refuse to give you the money back, Kim, my nurse practitioner, has absolutely no advise regarding your condition and very little knowledge of her specialty. This clinic is a racket only there to take money and provide below standard care.

Service is absolutely horrendous... would give negative stars if possible. Constant problems with prescriptions being ready or not being sent electronically in a timely manner. The office doesnt have anyone on site that can write prescriptions so when things get fouled up, its easy to play blame game. In addition, I have had numerous occasions of arriving for an appointment only to be told oh, youre appointment was canceled, didnt you receive a call? Well of course not or I wouldnt have driven to another county. Ill definitely be searching for a Healthcare provider that is closer to home and better reviews.

I’ve been going to Florida therapy for almost a year and I absolutely love it . I’ve had nothing but a positive experience with this company . Everyone is very caring, understanding, and professional . Going in I was really scared and nervous but they’ve always made my visits so comfortable. The two front office girls are very nice and caring ! The nurses & Kim are great! I’ve recommended this company to friends and family and they’ve had the same experience. I definitely recommend Florida Therapy to anyone who’s looking for a great outpatient mental health experience.

You can never get a hold of someone on the phone at this place... like NEVER! Don’t even try leaving a voice message with questions or concerns, they won’t return your ph call. Be prepared with a pen & paper because the recorded greeting will spit out a plethora of ph #s directing to other departments, cause no one is answering the phones here. And the recorded greeting is very patronizing... “if you’ve reached us during business hours we are either on the other line or working with a patient at the front window... if you would like a return call, you must leave us a message... & don’t leave multiple messages, as this will only delay our response time... this voicemail is checked daily & we’ll get back to you in 24hrs”first, I’ve been at that window 🙄 they are not that busy. Second, who doesn’t want their calls returned? Third, I admit, I’ve left multiple messages. I had serious scheduling & medication issues & I needed to speak to a professional, not to mention it was a time sensitive matter. Fourth, they obviously do not check their voicemail box daily. I left several messages on Monday & it’s Wednesday. So either they received the messages & chose not to acknowledge my questions or decided my concerns are not worthy enough for a response or their lying.

The therapists here are always welcoming and helpful. The office ladies, while overwhelmed at times, go out of there way to answer questions. Recent changes seem to be putting more pressure on them but they’ve been sympathetic to our concerns and the nurses have gone above and beyond for us. Me and my family love our therapists because they’ve given us far more in the way of success than anything else. Highly recommend.

Update: I originally loved this office. The appointments were quick, most of the office staff is awesome. But then I was in crisis (and still am). My meds were changed and between the withdrawal of one and the ineffectiveness of the other, I needed help. Serious help. I couldn’t/can’t get out of bed. I told them that and called several times, as my job was/is hounding me for paperwork proving a doctor was being seen. I called FTS to see if it’s possible that they could give me some time off work while I was withdrawing off the meds and tweaking the other. I left messages or was told I would be called back. When I did finally get a call back several days later, I was told it was my fault that I had to call out of work and now I’ve tied everyone’s hands. That I should’ve went to the hospital. That I did it to myself. And if that isn’t the rudest, most hurtful thing to say to a patient in a deep depressive state, reaching out for help, I don’t know what is.I have had nothing but amazing, positive experiences at this practice. Kim, the nurse practitioner, is absolutely amazing. She listened to my concerns. She asked about how I would like to approach my care. She made me a participant in my treatment. I’ve, so often, come across physicians who just prescribe meds and don’t care your opinion. Kim was the complete opposite and such a breath of fresh air.I, also, go there for therapy services and see Brandy. Not only has she helped me deal with some of the trauma I haven’t been able to deal with before, she also does so in a way that’s challenging, but loving at the same time. The program director is a sweetheart and it felt like she genuinely cared about me, even though we had just met.The receptionists are so sweet and kind and accommodating.I would recommend this place to LITERALLY any and everyone who needs help with their mental health.

Unprofessional and Inconsiderate Facility. My appointment was for 12; they asked I arrive at 11:45 to complete forms. I complied. I sat there and watched counselors (dressed unprofessionally I might add) traipse in and out with lunches. No one acknowledged me to take me back for my first appointment (intake). I left the facility and took my paperwork at 12:27. I waited 43 minutes for nothing. I took off work for this appointment. They called me at 12:32 asking where I was. Apparently, the counselor (Rebecca Johnson) was running late. I informed them there is a thing called communication. Someone should have TOLD me she was running late instead of letting me sit there waiting. The staff was unprofessional, the place is just downright nasty (especially the bathroom) and it looks like a free clinic, but its definitely NOT free. I would never go back to this place. If they cannot manage their own time and be professional, they cannot help me. This was HORRIBLE

My insurance company called ahead and verified same week appointment for my daughter. So I called for referral information (12x before someone picked up.) While explaining what’s going on the desk clerk, she sent me to the office manager that didn’t bother asking anything and told me I needed to get her in a hospital. No she’s been in care for 3 years. Thanks for asking, just looking for a new doctor. After 5 minutes of telling me what I need to do as a parent and still not asking anything relevant still trying to get an intake appointment. Called back today and immediately sent to the office manager that I’m assuming has neither children nor a mental health background. I really hope I don’t have to meet her ignorant self and the “process” speeds up. When reaching out for help it shouldn’t take days and attitudes. Ask questions and answer mine.

I have Well Care Insurance (not the best in the world). I went to my last appointment. I was rudely informed that my co pay went from $10 to$20. She claimed that all the Well Care clients had an increase. When questioned they could not tell me when. I was told to contact Well Care because they supposed to let me know. I did contact Wellcare and they were NOT happy. Infact they told me to contact Medicare and inform them of the fraudulent activity. Im only required to pay $10. DONT pay any increase WITH OUT talking to your insurance company. Im going to contact Medicare and Wellcare and most likely the Department of Inspector General because I get my insurance through Medicare. I would recommend the same action for everyone to read. Honestly, i am really surprised to see some of these reviews. i am 100% satisfied with the health care i have received at florida therapy. my counselor visits me at my own home every two weeks and truly has been a blessing to me in helping me work through some very difficult times in my life that i know i could not have handled on my own. i have some health issues with anxiety and panic so having a therapist that visits me faithfully is most appreciated since my anxiety climbs when i have to leave my home. although DR SCOTT is apparently a nurse practitioner it appears by some of these comments but i always believed he was an actual psychiatrist with the professional way he has treated me and helped me cope. i have seen many psychiatrist/psychologists during my struggles with life challenges but he is the best Ive seen. i dont believe this should be of concern for anyone because most mental and physical health doctors now are being replaced with practitioners, atleast this has been my experience. atleast at florida therapy i see this as a PLUS because they are highly skilled and not too busy to listen to their patients and help out when they can. i feel very fortunate to have both dr scott and lisa guiding me through life. i dont usually write reviews but i felt led to write this one because the level of care i have received is nothing short of EXCELLENT.

Be extremely weary of this agency. They are advertising themselves as providing psychiatric services when in fact, they only have a nurse practitioner with no doctor on site. This is illegal in the state of Florida. The law states that a nurse practitioner can not diagnose, treat, or prescribe medications without the oversight of a doctor. My pcp referred me here for my narcotic prescriptions and possibly counseling. When I called and made the appointment, It was known the particular medications. At no time did the office staff disclose that they did not have a psychiatrist. I attended my appointment with my ppo insurance and 20 dollar copay, only to speak to a counselor. My intention was to see the doctor and receive my prescriptions that a certified psychiatrist from the state in which I moved from, had prescribed 2 years earlier. I left the meeting and was told that I would have to make a separate appointment with the doctor to receive those scripts. Once again, it was made aware of what medications I was on, and still they omitted that their office did not provide a certified doctor. Creating quite a fuss about the situation to the staff, I made another appointment to do this. Again, I show up and have to pay another 20 dollar copay. Oddly, the staff mentioned that their were no nurses due to the holiday, which I thought was strange because why would she mention that. I was greeted by a young woman named Stephanie. I commented on how young she was to be a doctor, only to find out she was a nurse practitioner. In my mind, I thought the staff said there was no nurses. So she began to ask me standard questions and then about my medication and making snide comments about their effectiveness. In a way as if my condition did not require those medications. And before you know it, the meeting is over and I left feeling deceived and misled as this unqualified professional was treating me and diagnosing issues that a qualified doctor had already done. I became furious and confronted the office manager about the deception of their office. What they are doing is against the law and they are profiting from people unknowledgeable about process and procedure of the healthcare system. As I stated earlier, the state of Florida nurse practitioners are restricted in diagnosing, treating, and prescribing medication unless overseen by a doctor. The office manager stated their has never been a doctor in that office, and when asked for referral of a psychiatrist, I was given numbers to totally different offices.
