Great place! Super knowledgeable staff!

This is the rating for the website, not any particular store.The website is so badly designed a drunken retarded monkey could do better.When I chose a product (Chlorine Tablets) a message told me to choose a store to see pricing and availability. Since I was signed into my account I already had a store chosen, but I decided to play the game and chose a store. Instead of showing me the price I was taken to the stores opening page where I had to search for and choose the product AGAIN! Once again the product page said choose a store to see price and availability, so I did so. Surprise!!! It started all over again. It is a vicious circle out of which there is no escape.At this point I decided to contact customer service and yo know what? There is no way to contact the company. No chat, no email, no phone number.The result of all this is that I took my business to a pool store close by and may never buy from Pinch a Penny again.

Recently This store has a new owner. After that their new employees are very rude, the service in general is too bad. I use to buy all my pool products at this store for 20 years. Now, I am buying in other stores close to me.

Have gone here frequently over the last few years for all my pool needs and have to say, it never ceases to amaze me the consistently great service they provide. Everyone there is always very knwoledgeable and willing to help, with a smile. I have never met Clint, but the team does a fantastic job.Thank you guys!

I have been doing my pool by myself for years and years. A few years ago I Diamond Brighted the pool at great expense. July of 2018, I hire Pinch-a-Penny to service the pool since I had so many things on my plate to do. But instead of getting help from them, they SCREWED up my pool by not initially testing the pool water before they started service.So in the first week of August the pool started getting more discolored and by the second week in August it was horribly stained with black on the sides and floor. I complained about it and the guys doing the pool didnt jump to fix it until I took pictures and physically went into their store to complain. They stated they only put in chlorine which is an absolute falsehood since I put in chlorine and no stains were ever caused.The guy at the store didnt jump either to have anyone come to the house and fix this situation immediately. They waited until the next week of service to attend the pool. They put jugs or muriatic acid in the pool and had me run the pool pump 24/7!! This action was repeated a number of times causing my electrical bill to go up higher than normal having to run the pool pump like this. It was less headache and expense to service the pool myself. What a great mistake I made to trust Pinch-a-Pennys incompetent service.The weeks turned into September. Clint, the owner, FINALLY decides to take a look at the pool September 26th and tries to blame the pool staining on my use of their algae product I purchased from them when I did the pool myself for years and years. All I ever put in was their chlorine and their algae product and never had a problem. Pinch-a-Penny comes to service the pool and I get all this problem !!I told Clint that the pool needed to be drained and acid-washed and filled back up and balanced, but he was too stubborn to listen to anything I had to say. I told him that I wanted a credit for August and September not having the use of the pool from all the acid and other chemicals Clint put in to try to eradicate the stains. Clint stated each time well talk about it but never did talk about it because he is not a professional businessperson !!He said he would have someone come out twice a week to fix this ongoing problem. They never apprised me of an additional schedule for the second time would be because my gate is locked. The double visit only happened for two weeks. They dropped the ball again. And then, when Clint came to my house WITHOUT courteously notifying me that he would drop by, he ferociously banged on my side door like a giant gorilla instead of using the main door and ringing the doorbell like a normal person would do. Absolutely devoid of any etiquette !!I would think that he would not want to lose any customers, but no, he is stubborn and now expects me to pay for October. And on top of that he expects me to pay for November for which NO ONE HAS SERVICED the pool for November. I dont want them here any further!!! Im fed up of paying this incompetent service and waiting for them to fix the pool situation THEY CREATED !!And to top it off, Clint wants me to purchase some chemical pack to put in the pool costing $30!!! Yeah, sure, Im going to pay for service and chemicals??? No way !! The stains are 90 percent gone, but there is yellow stain still remaining on the walls and floor!!! Clint should have had the pool drained and acid-washed to alleviate this THREE-MONTH fiasco of trying to fix the stain problem his way and having to use several chemicals and time and energy that draining and acid-washing would have taken a few days !!!I REGRET ever hiring them to service my pool. They are incompetent and only want to suck every penny out of you !! They need to change their name to Steal-a-Penny !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DONT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING !!

Today I was searching for an auto pool cleaner that doesnt get stuck in corners or by steps (like previous one). Chris explained & demonstrated several videos and I ended up purchasing a Pentair Dorado Automatic Pool Cleaner which comes w 2 yr warranty. Set it up in about 15 min. This machine is good to go! No more getting stuck! Thank you Chris at Pinch A Penny!

Nelson is my Brother in Law and hes a great person to be around. He has worked here for many years and will do everything possible to make sure you leave the store happy. Other places might be cheaper but, you always get what you pay for.

This place is fantastic! They are friendly and have a lot of expertise! We know everyone by name. Our pool water gets tested for free and quickly by Galen and Alex. Richard and Nelson were very helpful so we were able to have the right parts to fix our pool. They are always quick to lend a hand and help you out to your car also.Parking on the weekends can be tricky but I didnt realize there is parking in the front and back. We love coming back!!

U DECIDEI WENT IN FOR bromide tablets. the young man walks to where they are and stands next to them. HERE THEY ARE. so i bend down with my bad back (75years old) practically kiss his feet and i have it. walk to the register and i give $20 for $18.01 purchase. MAY I OWE U A PENNY? i say. he looks at me like i was from MARS, and no answer. DONT YOU NEED CHANGE IN THE REGISTER? i say. again he looks at me like I am the man on the moon. NO . So i get my nickels and pennies and he hands me the bottle of chemicals. I COULD USE A BAG!! i say. it must have shocked him. WHAT he says. I COULD USE A BAG i say again. So he hands me a bag. i am so pissed at this point that I really want to return the merchandise. but hey do i want a fight with the wife? So ADIOS nelson. 1 less customer. dumb idiot
