I called, set up an appointment and paid for a reading evaluation for my 10 year old son. I was not sent the zoom codes until the morning of, after the start time. Once the evaluation began I noticed it was the STAR TEST. This is given to students for free in public schools and part of tuition in catholic schools. I asked The director of the center about it and she stated that this test would sync with the Sylvan program.....but not all areas of reading were assessed? When I met with her I was dissatisfied with the lack of thoroughness. She stated that if my son had come into the center she would have tested other areas. So why wasnt I told that? She was the one that set up the appointment. Do not use! THEIR program is NOT tailored to your childs needs.

The entire staff is friendly and professional. I feel that they have been able to successfully engage my child in such a way that he is always excited to come and continue learning. They are always available for any questions and are extremely accommodating in terms of scheduling and re-scheduling sessions. Finally the regularly scheduled assessments are a great way to guage the progress of the student.

Ronnie, Tiffany, Ellen, Zach and Phyllis do a great job of listening to the needs of my child. Ronnie and Tiffany ensure the subject, program and schedule align to our needs. Then Ellen, Phyllis, Zach, and team implement the plan to ensure my child learns what is necessary, with data to back it up. They are also willing to work with the school and complete any homework due. Doing homework was important, as most places won’t. Thanks, guys!

Ronnie and her team are amazing people. They went out of their way to accommodate me and my child. They were willing rearrange their schedules and times for what worked best for us. They want what is best for my child’s education. I highly recommend Ronnie and her team.

The tutors at Sylvan are kind, patient and fully competent. Sylvan specifically targets my childs areas of weakness. Once they isolate the skill that she needs work on, they create exercises that focuses on the root of her deficiency. My daughter enjoys the environment and feels really motivated to work hard especially because of the reward opportunities that Sylvan gives their students at each session. I would definitely, recommend this center.

So glad we took the steps to get our daughter tutoring in preparation for next years SAT exam(s). The staff at the Pines Center are very personable and her tutors, for the most part, are wonderful. My daughter is showing more confidence in herself and her studies. Its a serious investment in your child, and the benefits are evident after only two months of tutoring. I have noticed such a confidence boost in my son since he started tutoring here at Sylvan learning Center. I want to thank everyone for their hard work and dedication. Ms. Ronnie goes above and beyond in everything she does. Ms. Tiffany always has such a positive attitude and smile on her face. Sylvan Learning Center of Pembroke Pines has surpassed my expectations! My son started in the summer before 3rd grade and is now on the Honor Roll. He has mastered the basic skills in reading that has given him confidence to excel in school and in sports.Ms. Ronnie, the Director is extremely knowledgeable and guides you through the entire process. We could not have made a better decision for his success as a student.

Sylvan prep is a great way to get better and improve your SAT score. Before I got the classes I had a 990 on my SAT and after I took a few classes, I went up to 1160 on my next SAT test. It’s one of the best class preps I’ve taken.

To me the most important thing is my child’s education. My daughter is behind and has been struggling and she still has a bit to go but The educators at Sylvan Pines have been such a blessing to us. She has learned almost a full grade year in just 5 months. They are very patient, loving and they have boosted her confidence. Mrs. Ellen is such a wonderful person my daughter always looks forward on seeing her. Ronnie and Tiffany as well are amazing always helpful with any question I may have. My 6 year old Kindergartener loves going to Sylvan for tutoring. He started kindergarten just a little behind with phonics so I started him in Sylvan a few weeks into the school year. By the end of the first 9week session?m, he was on track in a school. I strongly believe the tutoring at Sylvan plus the homework at school has helped my son catch up and stay on track. The tutors are very nice and provide the right amount of attention to each student. The office staff (Ronnie and Tiffany) are very attentive and will spend as much time with parents as needed to ensure questions are answered and the child’s progress is reviewed. I highly recommend Sylvan tutoring to any parent wanting to provide additional support for their children. Of course, the sooner you enroll your child in tutoring, the better the outcome will be and the less likely you child will dislike learning. For my son, reading and phonics was our primary goal. And he’s actually reading now only 4 months into the school year.

My daughter attended Sylvan Learning Center and her FSA scores went from a 3 in English and a 3 in Math to 4 and 5 in the same subjects. Ms. Ronnie and Ms. Tiffany are amazing. The tutors are helpful, kind and patient with my daughter which made her feel comfortable.

Was looking for SAT College Board Test Prep about 2 months ago for my daughter who is a Junior in HS. I googled and Sylvan was the first name to pop up. I read reviews and did a little research on my own and gave them a call. From the phone call with the Service Representative, going in to meet with the Director to talk about options & what best suits my daughter, until now, we have received exceptional service and response each time! The entire staff is friendly! My daughter loves it & so do I as a parent!! What I really love is not only do they do test prep, they tutor in all subjects, provide homework assistance, you name it Sylvan can help with it! I have 2 grandsons that are only 3 but if the time comes they need assistance we will be reaching out to Sylvan!!! Thank you Sylvan of Pembroke Pines!!!

As a parent you want the best for your children. When I notices my child need help in school, first I hired a private tutor and I didn’t see any improvement. So I search and found Sylvan learning center in pine and spoke to Mrs Ronnie. She truly blew my mind of how much knowledge she knew about childhood education and she told me Sylvan program can definitely help. My child been attending for the past 3 month and I definitely see an improvement!!! You won’t regret it! This is a wonderful tutoring facility. I always disliked math and thought I was bad at it until I got to Sylan. All the tutors are down to earth, know what they’re doing, and are extremely helpful. Sylvan has great flexible schedules and I genuinely enjoy going to tutoring.

My grandson had been going to the Pembroke pines location since May for reading comprehension.He has improved a great deal with the help of all the wonderful teachers at this location. It is so worth the money to see how he is reading and understanding what he read.Ms.Ronnie Evans the director at this location is wonderful and always has time to give the parents updates and to listen to you.This place is wonderful!!!

They have Great people who have patience to actually work out each and every question just to make sure that you understand the material. They really helped me improve and learn the topics that I used to struggle with.

Sylvan Learning Center is helpful in various ways. Helped me catch up with subjects I was behind on.

Classes are 3 kids to 1 teacher. If you want to do month to month its 52 dollars a class and its 2 minimum a week . The assessment is 95 dollars and takes from 2-2 1/2 hours non refundable. I wasted my time over there because I didnt research, but if you look at the reviews for this company on the Better Business Bureau they are horrible. You are probably better off getting an at home tutor that will be personalized and no commute for you and no contract.

My daugther started tutoring right after school started because her teacher notified me that her reading comprehension was low..Never did I dream I would need to invest the time and money in tutoring..So I called Sylvan Learning Center in pines..And I spoke with a wonderful lady by the name Ronnie Evans..she listened to what i wanted and then she advised me on what she thought would be the best way to go about things..so i scheduled a assessment test...my daughter showed that yes she definitely needed help in reading and comprehending ..so her father and i sat down with her and she explained our options..Ronnie explained everything so well that it was real easy to decide that our daughter needed to start tutoring right away..its been now several months and i have seen a difference in my daughters attitude towards herself and her self esteem has gone up ..but what I like the best is that if my daughter does not master a skill she doesnt do on to the next one..she has to keep on the same skill til its mastered..She just took yesterday and today a very important test NWEA MATH/READING and she reached her goal or went over her goal...so as a parent I am very pleased with Sylvan ..the coordinator, the staff are very friendly..Mrs.Evans always is there to make sure every hour you are paying for your child gets..I am 100% satisfied and I would recommend them to anyone..

My daughter wasnt very impressed with the teachers. I told her lets give it a shot and see how it goes. She has been with them over a month and still doesnt feel it helped her at all. Then I tell the staff we willing not be attending after this month and I felt like I was now getting the cold sloulder

The best of the best.. One of my son was diagnostic with ADHD and was having trouble at school. He began at sylvan in december 2015, in only 3 months the changes in his grades and in reading comprenhensing have been improved in a miracle 100 % . He, today got a 100 in one of his comprehension test :) ..I recomended them to every parent in the state of Florida !!Thank You Kelly !!Jesus bless you always :) !!
