Customer service was lacking. Not very good follow up on the messaging system.

Ask how many years the tax professional has doing taxes before allowing them. At first we were completely satisfied knowing that a tax professional had handle our taxes in 2018 & 2019. Jump forward to this year and we received a IRS notice for 2018. Took my taxes into a branch near our new home to be reviewed and we find out the taxes were done incorrectly by Ms. Noon at this Pearland office. She put our house sale as business property (which it wasnt), she did not report our stocks or a 1099 on our taxes, and she did not include inheritance. She also put the wrong SSN on our taxes. Thankfully we did pay for the peace of mind protection so we will be reimbursed the $4200 we have to now pay the IRS. Again reimbursed, meaning we must pay the IRS.

She also was very helpfully in explaining what we should do for our taxes in 2020 and how to track what we are paying to the IRS to insure we pay enough to reduce our exposure. I have used a CPA for 28 years, until he retired this year. I decided to use H&R Block because of a friend that had worked for you in the past, recommended this company. Very professional, organized, friendly staff. The Office was clean and nicely decorated.

I had a specific issue that I did not know how to deal with and was grateful for H&R Blocks assistance. In the past I have filed online using such formats as Turbo Tax and Taxslayer. I will probably continue doing that in the years to come, unless I have a specific issue that I would seek a professionals help to resolve and need help filing my income tax.

Wow, what a waste of time! I spent 1.5 hours in this office only to leave without using the services. A so called tax professional couldnt answer my questions and was extremely rude! Dont waste your time, this office is a joke.

This review is for the H & R Block next to the HEB in Pearland. My wife and I went in there yesterday to have our taxes prepared. After 15 minutes of standing at the counter, some one finally acknowledged our arrival. We had an appointment with a lady that had prepared our taxes the year before. First they told us that she wasnt in today and we would have to use another person. Then they told us that then we called last week to schedule our apointment, somehow they messed up and didnt get it saved. So now we are behind 3 walkins. And while waiting, one of the tax professionals made a comment about an asian couple, because they didnt file with him after he prepared their taxes cuase they wanted a second opinion from a different location. We left and used Turbotax online. It only cost 29.99 for a married filing jointly with a home and investmetns.. Never used it before adn it was incredibly simple.

Horrible. Please dont waste your time. Unprofessional. The front desk clerk should be fired. She makes and changes appointments at her will and does not even consult the client with the time or date change
