Ive got two children who see Dr. Otite and shes very good with both of them. Shes gentle and stern as needed, and always professional. I was leery of taking my son and daughter to a psychiatrist, but shes no one-size-fits-all shrink. If you want solid individual treatment plans for your kids, and great parenting advice in potentially difficult situations, make an appointment!
Omg, I‘ve always keep looking for Dr. Otite I was always try to track her down, google her name and finally found her and sad to know that she sees only child and adolescents, I was going to see her even if she is an hour away from where I live. My son will be 23 yrs old next month April and he has been seen by many different psychiatrist but NEVER! Like Dr. Otite, she stop seen him as soon as he turned 18 I miss her so much she helped my son in the worst time of his adolescence years I honestly didn’t know if he was going to make it,Thank you Dr. Otite for the great job you did with himHe is doing much better now.
We started with evaluations and visits during COVID lockdowns, so we’ve been having virtual appointments each month. I can’t articulate how valuable each appointment has been—Dr. Otite somehow seems to ask just the right questions, and each of my kids who sees her actually enjoys speaking with her because it is clear to them (and me) that Dr. Otite pays attention and cares about what each of them say, what they are feeling, what they are interested in, etc. It’s only been about 10 months since we’ve “met” her, but I’ve seen marked improvement in each of the children; more importantly to me, though, is that I feel better equipped to see how they are behaving and why. And this allows me to help them in ways that, in the past, I wasn’t able to (not for lack of trying, but I just wasn’t making any noticeable progress). I feel we have a game plan; that the children feel more in control of their emotions and behaviors; and that when I truly am at a loss as to how to help, Dr. Otite is able to give me insight that is bound to help us!
Dr. Otite is fantastic. She always takes the time to listen and provide guidance for my son. He literally LOVES to go and see her-she has helped to get his ADHD in check and provide him with useful tools to help him in his everyday life. I highly recommend.
My stepson was diagnosed by this doctor the first visit with him. During that visit we were told that he should not see his mother AT ALL. so we took all visitation away. She scheduled an appointment a month away to explain to the mother what was going on and why. I showed up with the mother (I am the stepmom) and she refused to see us without the child there. After explaining why the child was NOT supposed to be there to multiple people in the office we were told that the psychologist would not see us unless he was there. So after reuniting the child with his mother and going into the appointment this lady NEVER PUT THAT IN THE NOTES. DIDNT REMEMBER TELLING US NOT TO LET HIM SEE HER. SO YOU MEAN TO TELL ME THAY WE KEPT THIS POOR BOY AWAY FROM HIS MOTHER FOR AN ENTIRE MONTH AND YOU HAVE NO RECOLLECTION OF TELLING US TO KEEP HER AWAY.... FOR WHAT? THIS IS DISGUSTING. Also she told us that he HAD to be seen by a psychologist. Well after speaking with his therapist I was told that was untrue unless we are seeking medication, both of the parents told her multiple times they are not ready to go down that road so that is another reason we will never be going back to see her. If you go to her make sure you keep your own notes because she obviously doesn’t keep up with all of her patients.
Has seen my daughter for several years. Dr. Otite is hands down the best doctor I have ever had the pleasure of working with, she has helped my daughter so much.
