I buy and sell boats. Knowing Red is like having a big brother thats the best mechanic in the country. He has travelled from Lake Amistad to Bayou La Batre for me (he goes anywhere) and despite other available mechanics I simply cant imagine giving them the trust that Red has earned from me. When there are travel delays - he tells you about them and discounts them before you see the bill. When a part is expensive he agonizes over it like he is paying for it. And one time early on I made the mistake of buying a used generator against his advice. He hadnt even seen the generator but exactly what he predicted would happen happened not even three months later and it cost me more than the new one just as he said it would. He wasnt selling the new one either he was just worried about MY MONEY !!!!! Add to that a whole team of guys that have vast experience even beyond mechanics and are always offering to share it. I have to add one relevant story. I got stranded in Freeport on a Sunday once and had known Red for only a month. He met me at the boat to get a plan in order for Monday then drove me to a hotel and rent a car facility ! The boat was fixed the next morning before I got there!

Thumbs down on progressive diesel red!! I had an engine survey done by them and they pulled the oil cold for oil samples twice, mind you! Then they checked impellers without replacing the gasket, spraying saltwater all through the bilge....really guys...take some pride in your work....but as usual, no response!

Complete wizard with mechanical Cat Diesel. Will continue to use Red and the group for years to come. Honest reliable, hard combo in the marine industry. Progressive is the best in the area if not the GOM area!!!!!!!
