Mike and the team do a tremendous job on the vehicles they work on. I’ve had my engine replaced here, which isn’t an easy job on a Mazda3 and I’ve had no issues since. I’ve continued bringing my car here and the service is exceptionable. These guys don’t rip you off and always give honest assessments instead of just taking your money. Highly recommend this shop!

My battery had huge corrosion on the positive terminal which bothered me a lot when I drove from CA to NY. So this morning I stop by and get the battery clamp changed. I know its not a very complicated job, but I dont have tools to perform such job. The technician worked on it for probably 20min to change the clamp and clear the corrosion. In the end, the shop owner didnt charge me fees and said its on me. I was surprised and feeling so lucky for today. Thank you so much for fixing the problem, and I wish you all the best!

Went to J&J about an Issue with my headlights that nobody in 3 years was able to fix. Within an hour James came up with a solution that not only solved my problem but was reasonably priced to fix. I cant compliment the prompt service and friendly staff enough. from Mike and Colleen in the front office to the owner James i felt like i was given priority service and will definitely be bringing my truck back for any future service. its nice to find a local business you can trust to do the right thing

When I first brought my car to J&J, i had purchased a new battery at a auto store. I could not put it in because it required removing some stuff under my hood. James installed the battery and did not even charge me. I have brought all of my family cars here ever since and have been treated very well, with top notch service, and very fair prices. I recommend J & J to anyone who lives in the area. James is a great guy and I will always bring my cars here for honest service and fair prices.

I was shopping nearby and when I returned to my car I had a flat tire light on. Luckily I was only 2 blocks away from this place, they plugged my tire in about 2 minutes. And then they wouldnt let me pay for it!! I left a generous tip for these lifesavers, if I was home in NYC I would have paid $30 for the same service, and wouldnt have had the chance to meet these fine, happy folks. Thanks guys!!

I have been going to J&J Auto Performance Inc. for the last few years, and every time I have had a good experience. The whole staff is kind and pleasant and James is both fair and reasonable. I believe its hard to find a mechanic who is not only running a business but who cares about your well being. If he thinks you can find/ obtain a part that is cheaper than he can get he will tell you. Also rather than botching a job that he cant do he will refer you to someone else who can do it. I have and will continue to refer all my friends and family

These guys are the best EVER. They did the impossible to make my ride work when nobody else would even consider looking at it. I mean who the hell knows how to repair a 1977 VW bus for gods sake. These guys took it on without a flinch and even as I was telling them to give up on trying to fix it. Along comes a neighbor who put his mind and elbows into the task to make it work. Colleen, Mike and (name here) form a great team. INCREDIBLY COOL PEOPLE.

Highly recommended! James and his colleagues are honest, empathetic professionals who go above and beyond to exceed the expectations of their customers. There was a situation where my car was making a weird sound and I was told by another mechanic at a franchise auto service that it was my tires and I ended up buying new tires and the sound continued.I was referred to J & J by a friend and James evaluated my car and uncovered that it was the front wheel assembly that needed to be replaced. While replacing the front wheel assembly, it was uncovered that the brakes were due for resurfacing which saved my having to replace the rotors. There have been several times when I would describe the issues with my vehicle and James would personally diagnose the situation and prescribe what to do next to take care of the car. The people of J &J Auto undoubtedly ensure that you get to where you need to be with your vehicle. I know I am in good hands from the moment I pick up the phone til the moment I get behind the wheel again!

Stay clear, unscrupulous. Brought my car in for a NY State inspection, well maintained, great running car.It passed, but they said I needed 2 motor mounts, then 2 more, then a transmission ($2500). Car now shimmies and shakes, never ran right since they touched it. The day I go to pick it up at the shop, it wouldnt start! They left the ignition key in the on position, drained the battery and NO GAS.

Gotta say these guys are ok, they mounted my giant 35 inch tires and balanced all 4 for a great price, gave me a quote on lift kit install, not bad either. Slow to the counter but good people.

My girlfriend and I have been bringing our cars to J&J Auto Performance Inc. for the last year or so for oil changes, brakes/rotors, tyres, and most recently an inspection. Everyone Ive encountered in the shop thus far has been nothing but friendly and honest with me and they finish the work QUICK. I dont think Ive waited MORE than 15 minutes for an oil change; faster than most quick-lube places AND they dont try and sell me crap I dont need/can fix myself (wipers, air filters, fluid flushes, etc...) EVERY time I go in there to generate profit. Def a MUCH more pleasurable experience! Brought the car in one morning to have a LIST of things done (timing belt, new plugs/wires, power steering fluid flush, oil change, tyre rotation, inspection, etc...?) and it was DONE by 5pm that SAME day. UNheard of! Most OTHER places would have my car for a WEEK!Unfortunately, cars can be expensive to maintain and theres no getting around that however the prices Ive been charged are fair and I havent had ANY problems with any of the work that anyone here has done. Would def recommend (& HAVE) J&J Auto Performance Inc. for anyone looking for fair-priced and QUICK repairs on their vehicle!

James is a honest guy. His work is as good as any dealership and very fair pricing (unlike the dealership). we have been using them for years very happily ... he always squeezes me in for a quick oil change or inspection with 20mins notice, he has given me rides when my car needed to be dropped off, he used to stock a weird sized oil filter for my suzzuki that he will probably never be able to use on any other car. when i was pregnant he put 2 new tires on my car and said if i couldnt afford them he would buy them for us because he didnt like me driving several hours up north pregnant on my horrible bald tires, (i paid him back the next week and thanked him but i think he gave them to me at cost with no labor fee). i dont understand some of the comments on here like he ruined your whole car/transmission or used all of your gas up. really???? I imagine those are the friends of his competiton. just today i asked for a quote for a trailer hitch for one of our cars and he was between a third and half of the dealer quote. He has also helped us pick out used cars.
