Just signed a lease here with my boyfriend! It was such a pleasant experience working with Carolyn, the leasing agent in the office. She is so patient and accommodating! The clubhouse is beautiful and the gym looks fantastic, I don’t think we’ll need a separate gym membership anymore. There are many renovations taking place on the ground and I cannot wait to see what comes of it!

I just moved in on July 1 and love this place . From the first day I moved in I love my apartment everything was brand new and beautiful I went to a grand opening party and met gray people the maintenance guys are awesome the women in the office are great I am so happy to be living here it was a perfect move.

I have lived here 7 years! I love living here it is quite, have an indoor and outdoor pool, a great gym beautiful new clubhouse. I have areas where I can do gardening in front and back of my home. Love my patio area have people over always for bbqs. People who live in the complex are friendly and outgoing. The clubhouse has activities some free some cost a few dollars. Office and maintenance are wonderful friendly if I have a service call they come and take care of it in a timely matter. Definitely worth the money to live here.

Absolutely horrible customer service. A reoccurring payment was taken out on top of my rent, so I called to fix it and had to have an argument of “who’s fault it is” when all I needed was to have the money back in my account. Then was told to “calm down” after explaining it 4 times and being forwarded to different people with no notification. Finally I was hung up on. Awesome job guys...absolutely no training in the office with those girls. Regardless of who’s fault it is you find a way to fix the problem. Any trained receptionist would know how to handle it. Sad actually. Giving a lot of money to a company that puts little into their employees

Today Harlan & Edison from Maintenance came & did a fab job.So great to have use of my fridge back again & they were also very knowledgable about everything.Thank You guys.

They shut the water off all the time. Happened while I was in the shower multiple times. On going electric problem. Didnt have power for days in half my apartment including the fridge. Real electric guy came said he was surprised there wasnt a fire. Our cabinets in the kitchen are falling apart. Still waiting to get them fixed.

I do not recommend. Alot of crime including theft and vandalism lately. The complex has no cameras and refuses to put in cameras. Instead, they are adding a bunch of unnecessary things to the complex. They only care about curb appeal. This is a cash cow kind of thing. Not a we care about our tenants kind of thing.None of my maintenance requests have been completed lately either. To me it just seems like they dont care. Everytime you call the office, the woman sounds VERY inconvenienced and rude.I am not impressed and i find it very annoying that nothing ever gets done about anything. In my opinion, nobody should have to worry about their safety where they live. I also shouldnt feel like i have to figure out how to fix things in the apartment with my own money when either maintenance or an outside vendor should be fixing it.If you are looking for a nice area, low crime, a complex that is attentive with matters, and so on. Keep looking.

Some reviewers complained about leasing office ladies but in my experience, they were pleasant and very responsive. I actually spoke to two of the residents to hear their honest opinion and they were generally happy to live there. Did not have any thefts or maintenance issues...only complaint was with the rising rent. Im giving 4 stars for now because unit 130-140 area needs some work compared to the other units near the club house. For example, I saw trash on the grass/wooded area, mildew on the exterior sidings, potholes in the parking lot but I hope maintenance crew will take care of them soon. I will update the review 3 months after my move-in.

I wish could like this page, but to say that would be a complete lie. Management does not listen to the concerns and issues of their tenants regarding the quality of people they are allowing to reside there. After multiple police reports noise ordinance violations and continuous complaints nothing has been done. Issues range from tenants with multiple covered cars in the parking lot, abandoned vehicles, as well as commercial ones being stored. I would NOT recommend renting here. The quality of everything has drastically gone down hill since the Renaissance corporation took over.

Don’t be fooled by all the 5 star, 1 review accounts. These are the accounts of the employees of the company. Renaissance Bay is awful. Nothing they advertise, or offer is actually given to you. Start by looking at the pools they offer that have been sitting EMPTY for two years! I will continue to make sure this place is exposed for what it really is!

I My apt beautiful and never had problem with the maintenance service here or dealing with office staff We are very happy here, I guess some people are chronic complainers, we have never experienced there comments about bad service or annoying neighbors, I did have 1 issue with neighbor who’s late 70s but also has dementia, I didn’t run to office crying .. I handled it myself with my lawyer, problem solvedRenasssance Bay is a new up and coming complex I’m excited to see all the new changes coming, the maintenance staff is excellent the office staff very nice the apts are beautiful !

Plumbing and piping is very old. Within the two years I’ve lived here, the pipes have broke twice in my bathroom above my shower. Last instance, the broken pipe flooded my place with sewage backup and maintenance took their sweet time to repair the issue! 6 days with no shower or toilet is ridiculous!!

Constant water pressure issues. Since Renaissance Bay has taken over, they’ve quickly increased rent but haven’t updated anything other than the entrance! Security is useless. The “pool” has been empty for years. If that doesn’t sell you, our laundry room has been under demolition for the past 4 months with no laundry services! Another amenity they offer to new renters but fail to tell them they won’t be able to use

The Weather was 45F last night.. and there is no heat all days-nights..they are allways saying “because of thermostat” when we called management, and never answer what degree they put to thermostat...... this guys don’t know how must to be management ....

Clearly all the 5 star reviews are by the management as they are all from the same time and all happen to mention new management. Oh and all the accounts just happen to be the only review the user has........If the person only has done 1 review I don’t trust it. Especially when a bunch pop up on the same day....Horrible.

Nothing short of terrible and leaves much to be desired. The new units are $2100+ Offering amenities that aren’t even existent so be sure to have them show you them before you sign a lease! No pool, no club house, nothing! Safety is also a big concern for the apartment complex. My car was been broken into two times on two separate occasions. Management says “maybe you should lock your car better” and it’s not their fault nor responsibility. But again, security is an “amenity” they’re advertising. Overall stay away, go rent a Fairfield apartment for an additional $50 a month and you’ll see a whole heck of a difference. Don’t let them fool you either with their office workers completing reviews for the complex to increase ratings. You can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig!

Old office hags behind the desk are the worst. Everyone within this complex is nasty! One will lie, the other will swear to it! Save your money and go elsewhere! Cars broken into frequently, maintenance doesn’t come to fix serve requests or repairs. Truly awful!!

I’ve been living here for a few years now and the complex recently changed ownership. I was a little nervous at first but after meeting a few people in the office it put my mind at ease. They’re making a lot of positive changes and I’m so excited to see all the work that they’re doing on the property. a lot of much needed updates for sure. Its going to be really nice to see what it looks like when it’s all done.

I visited a friend recently at La Bonne Vie in Patchogue. The noise and loud music from their upstairs neighbors was so bad at 10pm that it impeded our conversation. They attempted to ask the neighbor to keep it down and it made it worse. The neighbors be came belligerent and stomped around to be annoying like children so at that point I just went home. I was disappointed to hear that the leasing office has been made aware of the situation as this is ongoing and more than one residents complained and they continue to do little to nothing. Spend your hard earned money wisely reside where your property managers actually do their job!

I grew up in this complex. Ive had family live here my whole life, and then I finally moved in myself 11 years ago. What a mistake. This place has gone so far down hill, that even the new management can not save it. Everything from the buildings, to the parking lots, to the staff, are drastically outdated. Everything is falling apart, and no one wants to take responsibility for anything. There has been numerous thefts, burglaries, as well kids shooting up and smoking pot in the parking lots. Ive had things stolen right off my porch. I have had nothing but bad experiences with this place. Now theyre going to have the audacity to raise the rent. So long, good riddance.

We have been living here at La Bonne Vie (now Reneissance Bay) for 10 years. I must say we were very happy with the entire staff of the previous owner and now just as happy and satisfied with the new owners & staff. I hope they continue with the great tenant relations they have been displaying. I would be available at any time for further reference. Keep up the GREAT work !!!

Do not rent here they discriminate against kids. Worst company ever. Dont even get me started on the nasty people in the office. They need a good course on dealing with the public .

From start to finish dealing with everyone here has been such a weight lifted off my shoulders. Especially after my bad experiences with my soon to be old complex, it was a breath of fresh air coming here. My move in date can’t come soon enough. Everyone was so professional and courteous.

Horrible Complex !! I would not advise anyone to move here !!! They have no type of security. If you want to wake up with all four tires stole from your vehicle than this is the perfect place for you . My back sliding door leaks everytime it rains and Ive called maintenance about 300 times (All they come and do is re-paint over things ). My bathtubs has not held water since I moved in the apartment & the school district is horrible

I think the apartments are gorgeous, the grounds are kept beautifully and the new management is doing everything they can to keep people happy.

Do not rent these apartments. They are Crooks!!! They increase rent yearly, and don’t upgrade your apartments. If you want an upgrade, your rent will be increased!!! They are ridiculous! Beware!!

I have no complaints. I have the St. Moritz, perfect for two people. Its nice having our own patio in the back. Gets a little cold in the winter but other than that its been great.

I never looked at reviews. I was shocked to read negative remarks. The staff is very friendly. Maintenance is great. Value is incredible. The tenants in my complex are hard working and Its Quiet. Laundry is convenient. Club house is great. No complaints. Some people you can never please I think thats where bad reviews come from.

Old office hags were rude, disrespectful, condenscending. Lived here for over 5 years and never had a positive experience dealing with office or management. They had the balconies repaired and the contractor left 4-5 inch nails everywhere scattered in the back yard. I brought a handful of them to the office and they acted as if there was no problem, told me to leave and treated it as if it wasnt a big deal, nonetheless their problem. I have two small children. Based on that complaint they chose not to renew our lease out of spite. I now own my own home. Be careful of the new ownership scam, its usually just a title transfer and a way to remarket themselves away from their old impression.

Dont come here at all. I lost my car tires and rims yesterday when parked in the parking lot. No support at all from the Management, no security at all. Stay away from this place

Lived here for two years so far and love it. No issues or complaints. Affordable & quiet—and they only raised my rent by $10 a year vs other complexes at $80-100 per year. Haven’t really had to call maintenance much, but never had a bad experience with it. The apartments are very spacious and utilities (water/heat) are included in the rent.Honestly, REALLY don’t know what anyone is complaining about. Everyone has bad experiences anywhere but nothing as serious as all these needy drama queens are making it out to be lol. Don’t read the reviews, check it out for yourself in person

My wife and I moved here 3 months ago and I felt the need to write a review because when I was researching la bonne vie before we decided to move here the reviews absolutely terrified me and I almost didnt move here because of it But I took a leap of faith and moved anyways and Im glad I did. The place isnt perfect but my overall experience has been very positive. The very first day we arrived to our new home the apartment was just spotless and clean to absolute perfection. The carpet had been replaced, the walls had been painted and the oven, fridge, and bathroom were flawlessly clean. Now I have read tons of reviews about the office staff being horrible people However from my personal experience so far I have not run in to any sort of rudeness or nastiness with any of the ladies in the office and I have called and talked with them face to face a handful of times since we moved so Im not sure who the other tenants spoke to in the past but the office staff have been very kind to me and my husband.Now back to the apartment. Only issue I have run into so far is our back screen door was broken when we moved in and we called to have it replaced. They kindly said they will take a look at it. I had expected for them to call and set an appointment when they could get someone over but I came home one day after work to a note on my desk table saying that they had checked the door and were going to have it replaced. I didnt like how maintenance let themselves in without ever setting up an appointment or making sure I was home. However, I let it go. Its been several weeks and Im still waiting on that screen door to be replaced so their maintenance isnt the best.But that is the only complaint I have. The outside community area is always clean, never garbage or over grown trees. Every morning before work I see them working on the grass or trees. At night they have a patrol car drive up and down all the complexes which is nice makes me feel safer. All the neighbors in my complex are very friendly. When I first moved in they introduced themselves and they keep to themselves, they are quiet. I never hear loud talking, or loud music. My overall experience so far has been very positive and if you are thinking about moving here but are frightened by the reviews as I was please take the chance because its a lovely place to live. One of the complaints I found very comical was someone complain about the bugs. Yes you will find a few spiders and centipedes crawling around your home walls and my wife being a city girl before moving here I will say it was quiet the adjustment for her...still is but its not managements fault. They come in from outside. So many trees all around us and its so much woods near by, its unavoidable.

Very old buildings, and very old property all together. The school district is not that great, so be careful. The neighbor hood is fine, the amenities are OK. The staff are generally old people.

Horrible customer service in front desk, my mother got locked out her apartment and the front desk made such a huge deal about it, the lady made me Call a maintenance number and the same lady picked up!! They wanted social security number and she wouldn’t speak to me because I wasn’t on the lease! Meanwhile my mother that’s doesn’t speak English outside still waiting suck! thank God it was day time because if it was night time God knows!!!! and is gold!! Today this is so upsetting!!!!

Oh La Bonne Vie... lived here for years and had problem after problem. My husband went to complain about a worker who left tons of nails in our yard area where my kids play. They didnt care what so ever so my husband wrote a review about it and two days later they sent us a letter that they would not renew our lease and that we could break the lease early to move if we werent happy. When we found a new place to live they basically told us to take down the review if we wanted them to give us a reference. ( we lived there 6 years and needed it!). They wrote all the right things like paid rent on time etc but wrote on the side very difficult ). Well, here I am writing the truth since we no longer need them. The apartments are a great size for the money but the heat is horrible and the office staff thinks they are above all. There is one nice woman Eileen I believe her name is but the rest are miserable. Definitely not recommended.

When my boyfriend and I first moved in 3 yrs ago we were very pleased with the complex, then recently been having a lot of issues with the hot water, had our bathroom redone and wasnt completed as promised, I feel were not charity case, paying a decent rent here and deserve more,considering moving in the very near future

Staff very nasty, yelling and hanging up the phone. maintenance staff takes weeks to fix something and does a poor job of it. the apartments are old and falling apart. outdoor is very spacious and pretty but lighting is very poor. after dark when i walk my dog i cannot see many sidewalks. trees and shrubs are covering the sidewalks, there are unfixed holes through out the lawn.as soon as my 2 year lease is up i am moving without hesitation!!

I had lived here for 9 years of my life. I grew up in La Bonne Vie. It was a great childhood, the people were friendly I knew most of the clubhouse workers and maintenance guys there since I was little and they were great people. My family has lived there both in the senior section and regular complexes. My nanas lived there for over 20 years nothing but good memories that will stick with me my whole life, like playing outside with the kids on the jungle Jims, summer nights out in the courtyard catching lightning bugs, running down to see my nana Sunday mornings in her apartment making sauce and pasta. These are all things Im going to remember growing up in La Bonne Vie its a great place big courtyards nice staff members beautiful indoor and outdoor pool and activities (where I spent most of my summers doing) I recommend La Bonne Vie 100%

Unless you are homeless DONT MOVE HERE!! We were promised new cabinets within the first 3 months after moving in and did not receive them for almost 7 months. My wife and I moved in while she was pregnant and in the 10 months we have lived in the apartment we still do not have a weather strip on our front door after numerous calls to the main office to get it replace. During the last snow storm we had over an inch of snow inside our apartment never mind the draft that flows through the living room. It took 3 weeks to have maintenance replace the air conditioner during the summer heat wave while my wife was 9 months pregnant. In the last week we have had no heat in the apartment and while maintenance has come and “Fixed” the heat my 5 month old baby must wear her winter jacket and mittens inside. Calling the main office to schedule any maintenance work will have you disrespected and hung up on by Elaine. Rent is cheap but they will increase it every year. Needless to say we did not renew our lease. I do NOT recommend living her unless it is a last resort.

I live on Sipp AveLa bonne vie is my neighbor across street.Every year I must call them and ask them to maintain there property.6/18/2018 the grass is over three feet tall. Very embarrassing to have family or friends come over and see the eyesore across my street .Sure they maintain there entrance on hospital road because if the front entrance looked like there rear no one would rent from them.When I call main office I usually speak with Elaine . But there is no follow up and lack of caring for there neighbors.I just filed complaint with Brookhaven Town .It seems I’m not the only one with this concern.Labonne vie office if you read thisGet your act together. Your neighbors shouldn’t have to call you every year to cut your grass. The price is great for size of apartments. Thats the only pro. They are some of the most unpleasant people you will ever deal with. The maintenance men are not skilled in any way. Water is brown half the time or no hot water. I was charged a 300 dollar deposit for a friend bringing dog to house because a neighbor complained then when I moved out they kept. So 300 deposit kept for a dog that never lived there. And they kept 500 for a small burn on countertop which they never replaced ( we know the new tennant). You will regret moving here.

Dont do it.Youll be sorry. The office staff is the most miserable group of people Ive ever met. The police are in my development weekly! Without exaggeration. The grounds are disgusting.When i first got here i said something to the effect of I came from Heathwood. and their response was...this isnt Heatherwood. Their answer to EVERYTHING is not my problem. Snow not cleared for days...not my problem. Lawn service scratched my car..not my problem....someone hit my car...not my problem There are parking issues (because people have trailers in the lot)and when you park illegally....u get a sticker.not my problem) take this for what its worth.....Ive lived here for 6 years and finally had enough. I HAVE NEVER BEEN LATE W RENT OR CAUSED ANY PROBLEMS. The worst thing i did ( and did do it)was to walk my 9 lb dog without a leash and i was threatend w a fine.! BUT I ALSO HAVE ALOT OF TRASH.The smell of marijuana is ridiculous. And wen u complain...not my problam.This place IS about $400 cheaper than anyplace around.REMEMBER..U GET WAT U PAY FOR. I went to look at an apartment here, not only was he staff extremely rude, they acted like they couldnt wait to rush us out of there. So we decided not to take the apartment because of the horrible staff. Now I get a phone call from a collection agency the other day for an electric bill from pseg that went into collections two years ago.. I spoke to the manager at pseg and had them fax me the paperwork that the complex sent over, showing that they sent my info to them meanwhile another person had moved into the apartment.. I called the desk and of course they blamed pseg even though I have all the paperwork prooving that the complex screwed up. Well now that I have disputed the bill because I never actually moved in or lived there.. this place will do everything they can to scam you and they lie right to your face.. save yourself the trouble and find a different complex with a lot nicer staff (which isnt hard to find around there)

Its pretty nice and cozy but a major rip off when it comes to money, when we moved out they were just looking for an excuse to rip us off, they charged us $1400 cause they said the carpets were dirty ?

The renovated apartments are amazing and prices are fantastic. The ladies in the offices are extremely friendly and they helped me with my application that was very simple and fast
