Loaned my dad a walker when he needed one. So generous. Thanks.
As usual, the Convalescent Aid Society is able to help out my family with necessary items after my moms knee replacement surgery. We have utilized their sseveral times over the years, and they are always a pleasure to deal with. Thanks again!
Their a great service and are always helpfull and polite. I would recommend them to anyone that needs their services. Great people. Glen Curry.
It is hard to believe a place like this exists in 2021. It is hard enough to see your parents become frail and ill. After an emergency surgery we needed to get my feisty 90 year old moms home ready for her return. I made a call and the Convalescent Aid Society was ready to help and it was all free! Mom is doing great and everything we borrowed is being put to use. Thank you for this wonderful service!
We made an appointment for service. I needed a walker for a couple of months. We were told told prior to arrival that we needed a utility bill with our address to show proof of residency. We pay our bills online and did not have a paper trail. We did however have our ID and voter cards. Not acceptable for identification.
Helpful staff and great equipment. I appreciate the Convalescent Aid Socity.
I am so happy a friend told me about this place when I was recovering from ACL surgery. What they provide to the community- at no cost- is truly remarkable. I am so grateful to them. The staff and equipment is the best!
This review is only regarding the donations. They don’t accept adult diapers even if it’s in a new pack. They don’t accept any (not even the generic ones) arm or leg braces, new bed pads, and bed turning mats. I practically had to twist the guy’s arm to take the bed slings (it allows the patient to be moved from the bed to another place). It’s too bad cause I bet some ppl need all the stuff. I know I paid a fortune for the items. Also, their telephone system is rigged so you can’t get a live person. They need to fix that.
MAKE SURE APPOINTMENT IS MADE. WENT TO PiCK UP PORT-O-POTTY FOR MY GRANDMOTHER, WHO IS ABOUT TO PASS AWAY. UNFORTUNATELY WAS TURNED AWAY BY A WOMEN EMPLOYEE AND TOLD i NEEDED TO GET ON A COMPUTER TO SET UP. EVEN THOUGH i WAS ALREADY PRESENT AND POSSESSED THE UTILITIES AND LICENSES THAT WERE REQUIRED... ANOTHER WORDS NO WALK iNS!!CONVALESCENT AiD, NEEDS TO BE CLEAR THAT AN APPOINTMENT IS A MUST/REQUIREMENT, ALONG WITH THE LiST THEY PROVIDE; TO POSSIBLY PREVENT OTHERS WHOS TiME MATTERS AND WHOM CAN PLAN ACCORDINGLY.THANK YOU6/24/21
I just found out about this place. I like the idea of loaning medical equipment. Blessed to have found this place.
Fast friendly curbside service
A very, very Good place to get medical equipment when you need it. Please donate your used medical equipment (also make sure that it is good mechanical working condition)
I went there to donate two walkers and toilet seat riser. This place accepts almost all medical supplies. You have to call them first and ask if the want these items.I found out about this place 30 plus years ago when my Dad needed a wheelchair. They are like a loaner of all medical supplies. When you are through with the item, you return it to them. Some they may charge because of your income level. The person I spoke to is very courteous and helpful.I would recommend this place.
Went to donate some good, they were ok, and to the point.
This place is providing an absolutely essential service in this time of covid Free of charge they provide necessary equipment to people in need of hospital items used to assist recuperationVery benevolent
Supplies for any medical impairment, use is free for most clients. Currently has great contactless system, park in rear of building.
Staff is always friendly, helpful and will do their best to accommodate your medical equipment needs free of charge.
Excellent group to work with. They are offering great assistance to the community.
Wanted to donate some equipment and saw on Google maps they were open today on a Monday. I drove over there only to find out they open only on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays. Just a heads up to everyone out there.
Good people loaning out convalescent equipment for as long as its needed AT NO CHARGE.
Best place in town to borrow medical equipment.
Super helpful medical equipment aid society in Pasadena.
I was helping a elderly lady friend get an item here for her husband & the employees are always helpful.
This place is amazing or atleast it was back when my grandmother needed to borrow medical equipment back in 2010. I know Im a little late posting about them, but Ive never encountered another company like them and they truley earned the comendation. They have a wide variety of equipment from canes and walkers to medical beds and people movers. There really is no cost to register to check out their equipment for however long its needed. They just ask you return it as soon as you no longer need it. That being said, donations are what fund their company. I hope they still operate under the same business practices. I wish I had thought to review them sooner but I had forgot about them until restumbling on them in google maps.
Very easy to get what you need
Excellent service and staff. Just know that you need an original drivers license or CA identification card of the person who will use the equipment. Youll also need 2 additional names/identification documents as references to apply for equipment loans. Its free! Return the equipment when you no longer need it. Thanks so much for providing this service.
Rude

THIS PLACE is Amazing! A fantastic resource for families who need medical equipment on a loan basis. There equipment is in great condition, clean, the staff is compassionate and understanding. After you return the equipment, I aak to please give them a donation if you can, in order for them to continue to give this valuable resource to other families.
Super nice amazing people. The lady at the main desk was really polite and helped me when I had no idea what to expect. I recommend you read the attached pict so that you can bring 3 Major Types of resident ID proof with you in order to get loaner equipment. The Best Part was they GAVE me a walker TV tray, to have, just because it was laying around the storeroom. Super Thanks CAS!!❤

They were very helpful while we were carrying for my mom. I refer everyone I meet who needs assistance to them for equipment.
The CAS non- profit organization does so much not only for the immediate community but surprisingly for communities as far as San Diego and the Bay area. Great networking and referrals places CAS in a totally different category than just a place to go to borrow medical equipment.
This place is really amazing. They really do provide gently used items for use at no charge
Convalescent Aid Society was so wonderful for us helping our father. They have always been so kind.
These people go out of their way to get you what you need. All equipment in top condition
Provided diapers, chucks, hospital bed, wheel chair, commode when me snd my wife were care taking her mother for over 10 rears. I went there weekly to pick these items up. This nonprofit organization is a lifesaver to care givers.
