This man was AMAZING.He fixed my Bissell carpet shampooer while I waited, AND he charged me a fair price.He was friendly, and very knowledgeable.If another one of my machines breaks Im going to him.

I was given an expectation of my sewing machine being evaluated and the owner’s response time would be 2-3days. I called three different days and was told it would probably be there the next day and check back. Thus, I called three times. I was never told there were many machines ahead of me and the shop was overwhelmed by people calling and needing their machines for mask making during this time of COVID by the gentleman taking my calls. Instead, when I told them I would come pick up my machine and take it somewhere else, the owner finally called. He was belligerent and terribly rude and told me he didn’t have time to call customers with a status, didn’t want impatient customers like me, and asked me two different times why being a customer of Murphys in Pasadena for 50 years was relevant. He even told me he would be charging me for HIS inconvenience as he was in the process of looking at my machine at this time. Wouldn’t it have been easier to lead off the conversation with that status instead of asking “what was the purpose of my call” and proceeding to insult me? This was an unpleasant and unnecessary interruption of my day by a small business owner that I took the time to seek out and go 25 miles out of my way to patronize. Shameful. A “no star” would be too generous for this business.

Brought in a 30yr old Singer Merritt sewing machine for a tune up in hopes they could get it up and running. It hadnt worked properly since I inherited it from family early last year. When I picked it up the gentleman was super nice and complimented the machine, saying it should last another 30yrs. This review is kinda late but Im glad I waited since now I can honestly say the machine has worked wonderfully for several months. I dont know what they did, but they did it well! Plus they gave a 1yr warranty- cant pass that up.

I only called about a part nobody seems to have. The guy that answered the phone was quick to put my fear to rest. He knew exactly what I wanted & offered it at a price I will not beat! I look forward to picking up my part & declaring this my new go to parts store for my vacuums.

I have a Bissell Symphony steam vacuum. It stopped steaming, before I took it their for it stopped working the steam function was just ok, but after it was repaired this thing puts out a constant stream of steam and it removed 10 years of ground in dirt that was embedded in my grouted file flooring. Extremely impressed with my Symphony that is working better than it did when brand new. Many Thanks to Murphys!
