As soon as I walked into the academy, I was immediately surprised by the space and training environment that Lion Heart Jiu Jitsu provides. The mats are well-sized and both the instructors and students immediately welcomed me with open arms. The instruction was spot on as we went over more intermediate concepts that require a keen eye for detail. Lastly, the rolls were tough but safe: each roll was competitive yet no one was cranking or forcing any submission attempts. Overall, I had a great time at Lion Heart Jiu Jitsu and I highly recommend for folks visiting the Pasadena area to train here. Thank you again Jason and David for the awesome experience!

I came in for a drop-in lunch class and the instructor taught a great class with awesome details. The whole school had a great vibe with awesome students.

Visiting from out of town as I am, or if it’s your first lesson ever, this is a great and unintimidating place to be new. I left a vm at the listed number and got in contact quickly with Jeremy who answered a bunch of questions for me. Once in class coaches Paul and Ben were excellent and I enjoyed the drills and rolling. Obviously if you’re from the area, I’d recommend it long term too. There was a big group of people in the day class.

I came here thinking I was going to be beat up on my first day. it DID NOT happen. I dont like how everyone is so nice. I need a place where people are mean and where the mats are not cleaned all the time. All the coaches and students have been too helpful in teaching me moves down to the finest details, and frankly I dont like it. I dont understand why they couldnt just toss me in with 5 people at a time and learn it the hard tough way. If youre looking for a 5 star place thats clean, friendly, and will hold your hand and teach you things the right way to become successful at jujitsu, then be my guest and come here. But Im leaving this 5 star review in utter disbelief that its not a 1 star place that has the mean and intimidating atmosphere that tough guys like me need.

This school is awesome! Coach Jason, Coach Jc, Coach Jeremy and Professor Ben are great instructors. The entire vibe of the group is welcoming, and overall you just have fun learn Jiu jitsu.All the coaches take their time teaching you moves step by step, and help develop your game into the next level. I highly recommend Lion Heart Jiu Jitsu academy for anyone of all levels.

I have trained at many academies in Los Angeles and Lion Heart is by far my favorite. The level of instruction is world class with a high emphasis on the small details. Jason and Jeremy truly have a passion for jiujitsu and it transcends through their teaching. Lion Heart is a great place for beginners to learn jiujitsu but it is also an excellent place for seasoned competitors to train. Jason makes the effort to always be in his student’s corner during every tournament and he brings out the best in all of his students. A membership at Lion Heart also allows you to cross train at any Paragon and SCHL academies. Lion Heart has great pricing with no contracts, free parking, and the mats are the cleanest mats I have ever rolled on!

Was training at Lions Hearth for a month coming from Germany and different affiliation. I can recommend this place, there are welcoming people and a good mix between gi and no-gi classes.
