Its a great gym to join and workout. But I just Lifetime Fitness because the weights are available at a heavier capacity. Once youve out grown the 75lbs that planet fitness provides, there isnt anything in that area to help you climb to bigger goals. Planet fitness needs heavier dumbells at least to 100lbs.

Pasadena location is very clean. Staff is very friendly and always greet you when you arrive and leave. Best thing about PF is the trainer lead classes. I like that they are included with membership and are available every week day. David is a very knowledgeable trainer. He always explains exactly how use machines which can be quite intimidating for beginners. He encourages and pushed us to our full potential. David is the reason I dont miss a day at the gym! I see results and learn so much about fitness with his lead.

Im a hefty woman who wants to change my whole lifestyle and PF gives me the comfort to do just that. Its truly a no judgement zone and I love the fact that you see all body types and age groups there! The bonus~~The Hydro Massage!! Plus the membership is very much affordable. And with low membership, you would expect a grimy gym but not with PF! Oh, and their colors are mainly purple and thats my favorite color! I love it here!

This is a preferred location as they have the updated massage chairs. I just wish they hadnt told everybody else about this place its a little crowded. I prefer late at night or early morning but the cleaning crew is made up almost entirely of women and they seem to be closing the mens restroom for almost 2 hours BTW 1-3 every night. They wont offer to leave and when asked I got back talk and had to involve management. I purchased the black card membership so that I could have 24/7 access to restrooms as I travel much.

I love this gym it was my first time as a member very wonderful staff for night shift I haven’t been for dayshift yet I gladly recommend there are very clean with the equipment everything’s organized and I feel very comfortable working out most of the times and safe well getting some equipment the staff were very wonderful and very nice I love coming to the gym all the time

There are never any paper towels. Seems like everyone is there longer than they should be considering the excessive travel to find paper towels. But service is good. Customer service is great.

Covid is spreading people here wear no mask, besides that not social distancing from working in a medical atmosphere please be conscious of your surroundings and other people health, breath carries in the air.

Nasty customer service i spoke to paula “the manager” and let her know i had canceled my subscription and she was the most rude person ever! Don’t work somewhere if your not happy about it with your rude self!!!! Im totally going to contact the private owner and let them know what type of “manager” they have here. At least be courteous about a customer leaving your subscription you did the opposite nasty attitude even when asking for my information interrupting me not letting me finish talk. I hope that call is recorded. Disgusting!!!

Overall it’s a great place to work out for the price. Plenty of equipment. I appreciate when the staff makes everyone abide by the rules. Most of the time they are give attention to making sure people follow the posted rules.

Good place to work out, but seems like the people at the front desk only greet certain people they like. Many times Ive come sometimes they say high but most the time they dont.ive noticed certain people dont get greeted the same there as others. Kind of sucks and gives off a unwelcoming feeling. I wish people would just show everyone the same kind of kindness and cheerful ness instead of picking and choosing who they want to be nice to. Other then that everything else is ok.

I like that they do a deep cleaning of each machine and it makes me feel safer from contracting the virus. The machines are pretty self explanatory and easy to do thanks to the QR codes on it. It is a peaceful environment to workout and is open whenever I want to go to the gym.

Probably one of the worst gyms ive been to. I was dping the transission from 24 hr to here because 24 isnt available 24 hrs due to the pandemic. Today was my 1st time here. I had signed up already online. When i got here the staff was joking arpund putting no attention, when they finally gave me the attention they were being rude. Also not to mention no sauna.as i was leaving they said bye but i turned around because the massage chair gave me attwntion. Once i got there they asked me again for my membership after seeing that i was leaving. Im sorry but im def canceling my membership. Cant wait till 24 hr actually goes back to 24 hrs

Wifi has been an issue at the Planet Fitness location on Fearmont Pasadena for several weeks. When I asked the front desk for an update Dominic at the front desk told me that I was better off not connecting. When I asked when they were going to fix it he acted evasively. His answer was “the front desk don’t control the internet” when I ask who does his answer was “l don’t know” then I ask corporate? “I don’t know” the whole time looking away and only providing short answers with an attitude. Not the service you would expect to receive from a front desk who is there to assist the members who are actually footing their paycheck. I ask to speak to the manager to follow up on the wifi issue but Dominic informed me that the manager is only there from M-F. I ask for his name and again with a short answer and without even taking the time to look me in the face, he replies “I think his name is Lynn” I continued with, I’ll be back Monday to talk to Lynn. Then I ask what is his last name? Answer: “I don’t know I think it starts with an M” what kind of BS service are we getting? Then, I mentioned that I would make sure Monday I bring his name up to Lynn and mention the WiFi issue and his poor attitude, rudeness, and poor performance as a front desk personnel. That caught his attention for a second to only reply “I am not” and then he when back to punching the keyboard just ignoring our conversation. At the end of the day, we are paying for all the equipment and services they are not giving us anything for free. All I am doing is demanding the services we all deserve in a paying membership. More to come.

The staff are curtious and helpful. Enjoy that your gym is 24 hours 7 days a week. Fits with my crazy work schedule.

Just left the gym. In the weight section alone I counted 26 people not wearing masks. I just read a review from 6 days ago that complained about the same thing. Are you guys planning on doing something about this or are you just going to let this happen. I know it puts you in an uncomfortable position to ask people to be compliant... But thats whats going on now. Is it too much to ask for people to be considerate of others and wear their masks while working out? I dont understand. How many more complaints do you need before you start doing something about it? This is ridiculous

Dont go to this location its privately owned so they think they can get away for charging you things you didnt sign up for. after you won your contract expires they will continue to charge you without telling you unless you go there in person to cancel. Very underhanded and shady business tactics. The worst part is you have to go in person to cancel you cant cancel the phone even though its a pandemic. And I dont want to go places I dont have to go because Im around Elderly people but I guess planet fitness is is that desperate for money that theyre willing to steal from their customers.

Dont trust this place specifically that punk lenny was acting like he is not the one in charge on the phone. Theyre just trying to steal your money. Planet fitness is a franchise and this location is run by conman. You cant even call a corporate office because theyll just hang up on you. They have the worst cancellation policy during a pandemic because they will force you to cancel in person while fitness connection let you do it over the phone and their corporate office will answer the phone. Youre better off joining a smaller gym and supporting legitimate local business.

Not too crowded, comfortable place, and clean equipment.

Yes they allow you to remove masks but its up to us to maintain the distance and keep them on. Dont blame the place, covid can be anywhere even a grocery store so be real people. It does get hot with all the movement so as long as your ok and every one around you is too its a great place to go to.

Thistle aint about planet fitness this is directed at the gentleman that followed me there. Today is free pass day Im not gonna report the guy in the company truck. Not this time. As a return favor Id like to ask you to please back off a notch. Lately youve gotten a little more aggresive and I dont know why but its not good. Its my opinion that you people have been misled concerning me. Im sure that just like me you men have alot of experience. At least a majority of you do so you already know that you cant rely on just one persons story. I havent done anything to anybody. What can we do to resolve this? Its been going on for quite some time and I stil dont know exactly.

I got my membership here right before the pandemic came. When it came they shut down the place and took my money. I never got to use my membership so I cancelled when they reopened tried to get my money back, they didn’t wanna refund me anything, I never even used the gym. I tried contacting corporate several times couldn’t get anyone on the line. If I could give this gym zero stars I would because I feel like I wasted my money here I’ll never do business here again.

Small but perfect! I also have a fitness connection membership and I rather go to planet fitness. Perfect amount of people and its a descent price. Many exercise equipment and stuff to do.

Always low maintenance. Theres leaks on the floor every time I go visit. The foam rollers they have need to be replaced because theyve been used too much.

My boyfriend signed me up for a membership and only for Deer Park location. Which we didnt realize so he wanted to change it. Rudely guest services said you have to do that online. So we used his account to workout. Then I was told to go get my ID but my picture was taken a few times before. We have worked out a few times at this location and never had such poor customer service. Very rude so we left. I understand policies and rules. However there is a way to say things and treat people.

The night shift guy named “Christian” is very unprofessional. He don’t even know how to deal with customers. I think they found him on the streets and brought him to work there .

Very nice staff. Facility was very clean and not very crowded, mind you this was at 0530 so be sure to check and see the current activity level that you are comfortable with. All in all very good visit and pleasent experience!

This review is for the Pasadena Location. The facility is wonderfulI dont like the customer service. A bunch of young kids who dont know about the services they have.

Very friendly staff & Sanitize for each customer has to clean & wipe down equipment they use before moving to next station.

I have tried calling numerous times and no one picks up the phone. It just rings and rings. I need to discuss my membership with someone before they charge me tomorrow and no one is answering. I better get a refund if I get charged. I have also tried calling two other locations and the same thing happened.

Staff sometimes has an attitude but over all is clean, inviting, friendly place to workout.

Its an awesome Gym, But it just gets way to over crowded at the free weights. And they make you wear a mask coming in, but as soon as you start working out they dont care it seems.

Policy and protocol are not enforced by management mor staff when it comes to carrying gym bags through out the gym. Its unfortunate and a huge inconvenience!

Love this place! Definitely has a very respectful ambiance from personnel to customers alike. I really like the way they have spray bottles and paper towels for sanitary purposes located throughout their facility.

It was a nice gym. Im a truck driver. Came in and got a good pump.

If cardio is your thing this is the place, but if you are into intense weight lifting this place isnt for you.

Great gym! Great location! Always clean and kept cool so it doesn’t smell. Highly recommend PF for beginners like me and even long term to maintain your health. Locker room area is always clean and well kept. Equipment occasionally has been out of order but there are more than enough machines for a great workout, and they get repaired within the day. Staff is courteous and friendly. The Black Card Spa is always clean and a great pit stop before heading home.

I love it!!! clean and all equipment is new, friendly staff, and very good place to workout.

The gym itself is always clean and never had issues with the staff for the most part. HOWEVER when it comes to billing. I was charged 2 LATE fees even though I was charged normally for the service. I didn’t get any help from front desk employees and they’re just dismissive about it. They swear up and down I got notified however I didn’t. No text no email. Not to mention they have a back up card just in case something is wrong.

The employees here are very helpful and great customer service is always being delivered. Machine and equipment are most of the time clean. Area in the mens locker is kept clean also. I love this gym in overall.

Ive been to a few locations and the Pasdena has the best layout in, my opinion. The staff is usually very friendly and efficient and the gym and changing areas are well maintained. The machines are in good condition and rarely out of order unlike other locations.

Awesome place to workout

I was happily greeted as soon as I walked in all equipment had signs on them as they were 6 ft apart from machine to machine every sanitized station was nice and clean Also as I seen ppl done using their machine they would go to the station and spray sanitizer on paper towel clean their machine as i did mine when done and the staff were very very percautious and would go around sanitizing the machines.So I was very impressed and satisfied with the staff being in top of the safety of their members!

The customer service here is unacceptable. The staff people are rude. The equipment is often broken and not able to be used. There is broken glass outside from peoples cars getting broken into. There is no security here; not even late at night and they dont allow you to have your bag while working out. Anyone can just walk in and do anything. There are little amenities here i.e. no pool. You might as well just save your time and money and go somewhere else.

On 12-19-2019 was at PF gym doing my work out and was told I could have any bags on the gym floor. The bag is 8×4 sling bag.that i keep my wallet, gym gloves,heart monitor strap, gu pouch, and others. After more than 4yrs going to PF now you change the rules with out informing gym goers. I have seen other people with huge duffle bag and no one says a word. Could someone please tell me what size bag is acceptable to have on you person while on the gym floor.

The restrooms and locker room area are always filthy. It seems like they never even clean during the day, which causes the restroom to smell like a restroom at a bar. The floors are always wet, from people showering or urinating. The sink area is also unkept. I complained several times, but nothing was ever done. When I cancelled my membership, they did not even ask why, which I thought could have been a great opportunity to improve their services. Oh well, Ill give my business to a better place.

Worst Gym Ever. If I could give zeros I would. We have been going here for almost 2 years. We have never had any issues until the last 2 months. Late fees popped up on our account and we were aware however the lady that works overnight name Rebecca will harass you every time you come in over late fees that are automatically pulled from your account. We are Black Card members and she would tell us that we could not use the Black Card area. Lenny the manager stated that he was going to take care of that for us because it was done erroneously after further looking into the matter. They stated that late fees will come out if they have to hit your second account. However they never hit our second account and the money was withdrawn from the first account and they still charge late fees. We tried to handle this in a professional manner by trying to speak with the company themselves since this location is franchised. I called the location today and spoke to a gentleman who was rude to me on the phone and proceeded to tell me that it was her job to stop us every single time we come into the gym to remind us of the same fees that were supposed to be waived. My husband talked to one of the managers name Paula and she told him that we could go somewhere else that we didnt have to work out there. Rebecca told my husband last night that we could cancel without paying any contract fees. That was another lie. I have called corporate office and I have handled it with them and this location or Planet Fitness will never see any more of my money again. Harassing your customers is not professional. The overnight cleaning crew also invade your workout space and cleans on top of you while youre trying to work out completely rude. The manager above Lenny that called me to try to handle it and we asked to just get out of the contract he stated no that there was nothing they could do. Well there is something I can do. You wont see a dime.

Clean the shower curtains sometime this year

Decided to go back to the gym for the first time since the pandemic and was very disappointed to see that they don’t enforce a mask requirement. Several people not wearing a mask or with it around their neck walking around and working out. This place is not safe enough to use. Probably better to call corporate and put my account on hold until they can enforce a mask requirement or until the pandemic is over.
