I’ve gone to the Pasadena location for CorePower the past couple days and have fallen in love! My fiancé and I have done C2 and YS and we are so sore in the best ways! The teachers have been knowledgeable and great, the rooms are cleaned down thoroughly between classes, and we have just had a really positive experience overall! Highly recommend!!
Instructors are great, this place is always clean.
Great studio, instructors, and vibes!
The environment at Core Power is an energy force field that rejuvenates during each class. I have attended many yoga studios, and there isnt anything else like it. I feel at home whenever I visit and I can communicate with the wonderful yoga instructors. I have practiced C2 with Vianka and she is the best. I enjoy her talking us into the mood of the class and the the music is so perfect for the ambiance. Two thumbs up!
I have truly loved my experience at Core Power Yoga. I started my yoga practice about 5 months ago, but I have gained something really special by practicing Yoga here at Core Power. I appreciate the attention to mindfulness and health. I have felt more inspired after my workouts here!
My go-to Yoga spot. Ive been coming for close to 4 years and have been to many other CPYs, but something about this location makes it my favorite. Its likely a combination of the accessible parking, the close location to my place, and the fact Ive come long enough to really ID the instructors that give me the type of workout Im looking for. My favorites are: Jason, Joel, Esme, and Jennifer.
Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. I was a bit nervous being a first-timer, but my teacher made me feel like I was right at home. You’ll definitely be seeing me again!
Carly Randolph taught an AMAZING class and I couldnt have asked for a better experience! Her combination of motivation, music, and the use of all our muscles made for an awesome class! I also loved how clean your studio was and how friendly the other staff members were! Namaste!
CPY is an easy way to get more mindfulness and exercise into my week. The unassuming atmosphere makes it easy to come back for classes week after week. I always feel like theres something I can improve on (like inversions, form or endurance) but never feel shamed when Im not there yet. Im really glad that there are multiple levels of classes too - taking C2 for a year helped me feel confident with yoga and general, but now that Im ready for a challenge Im able to level up with sculpt without needing to seek out a different gym with different classes.
Was trying to attend a C2 yoga class just now with classpass but was completely turned around by the yoga instructor, Jennifer OConnell. To be fair, I didnt realize that the window to register class has closed until I got to the studio, but I just wanted to see if theres any way I could still attend the class with my classpass points so I decided to approach her at the reception. As I was trying to explain my situation to her, she stopped me mid-sentence and told me that I needed to wait until shes done with processing a paper that she had on her hand, so I waited patiently until she was done and as I was once again trying to explain my situation, she again stopped me mid-sentence and asked me for my name, which was completely irrelevant as I was not able to register for that class and she would have known that had she let me finish what I was trying say! After all that, I eventually was able to tell her my situation and wanted to see if theres any way that I could still use classpass to attend that particular class, but instead of telling me that I would need to wait for the next one because she has no control over last minute registration with classpass, she told me that Corepower has nothing to do with classpass and if you want to take a class, you will need to pay, which was super confusing because I initially understood as you cant use classpass to attend corepower classes. Anyways, as a staff at the studio, she was being very unprofessional and even had an attitude to begin with. Ive taken classes at this location multiple times before but had never ever run into someone that rude. Very upsetting experience and will definitely try to avoid her classes from now on.
Studio manager Vicky Mendez is fantastic! I’ve taken her class a couple times at various locations: at the Roosevelt hotel for yoga and mimosas, at Lululemon at the Americana, and each time her class is amazing. She pushes you but in a gentle way that is super motivating! So glad that she is the studio manager at CPY Pasadena!
Very organized. staff are friendly, clean and nice ambience ! love it!
I called to see about attending just one class while I was in town, and had to sit through a lengthy recording and then on hold as caller number 4. Really? On hold as caller number 4 at a yoga studio? Ugh. That right there exceeds my post-workday complicated threshold for something that should be easy and relaxing.
Super excellent studio and personnel. Its hot but not too hot.
One of my favorite places to be is Core Power Yoga. No matter how stressful my day is I leave yoga feeling brand new. With out a worry in the world. If I had the time I would spend everyday at Core Power Yoga.
I like that you offer a lot of different types of classes throughout the day so that I can easily squeeze in a class at a time that works with my schedule. I would like it if the Yoga Sculpt classes were a little more challenging, (Ive found the most challenging Sculpt classes at the Santa Barbara and Goleta Studios).
Fantastic studio with really welcoming and friendly staff, great teachers, clean space and showers and heart pumping classes. One of the best yoga studios in the Los Angeles area.
Instructors are super friendly, energetic and very helpful. I have been to may locations and this one is the best! Try this spot out!!
This is a review of yoga instructor Linas class at Corepower yoga, Pasadena. My friend referred me to this place and I thought I should also give this place a try. I had a busy day I was looking forward to this relaxing yoga time. Before class started, Lina asked people to put their extra bags in locker room outside, even though everybody else ignored her announcement, I got up and put my yoga mat bag in the locker room. I only kept my phone, and kept it next to me in case someone were to call with personal or work emergency. The whole time my phone was on mute and I have been to many other Corepower yoga classes with different instructors and have frequently seen other students keep their cell phones with them the entire class and no other yoga instructors ever complained. All of the of the suddenly, in the middle of class, while I was catching up on my breathing, Lina approached me and ordered me to immediately put my phone in the locker room. She walked away while I was responding, I told her someone may need to call me with a personal or work emergency and I will put the phone under my yoga mat so no one can see it.A few minutes later she came back and got really close to my face without any warning and interrupted my breathing again while I was working on my positions and quickly flipped over my yoga mat and looked at me angrily and she said: you have to put your cell phone in the locker or the front desk. (It was 8pm at the time and nobody would be in the front to keep my phone from being stolen). Linas confrontation was during the middle of class, I explained to her since I already had my phone, that I could keep it under my mat and out of sight until the end of this class. She continuously and aggressively cut me off five times while I tried to explain myself, she simply would not let me finish my sentences, and shouted: NO!!!, YOU HAVE TO PUT YOUR PHONE OUTSIDE!!! NO YOU HAVE TO GO!!!During Linas angry and loud statements, more and more people began to look in our direction and this whole event was a publicly traumatic experience and was completely shocking, everything you would not expect in a yoga class after a long day of work. Lina has no respect for a paying customer and fully took advantage of my physically exhausted and vulnerable state, as I was still catching up on my breathing, and decided to single me out in class and intentionally publicly humiliate me.During this whole time, many students had left their bags in front of the room and many had completely ignored her request for them to put their bags outside of class, prior to class starting. Since I was the only one to follow her direction, at the beginning of the class when she made this announcement, I feel from this point forward that I would be an easy target for her, someone she could intentionally tyrannize for the remaining of the class until I was forced to leave. After Lina shouted at me and forced me out of the classroom. The manager Kellie, told me that they routinely have a lot of customers that bring their phones to the classroom, due to their job needs. The manager could offer no explanation as to why Lina was enforcing this policy in the first place and why she had to do it in the middle of class in front of everybody. Now, I am considering submitting corporate complaint and filing civil lawsuit to prevent this from happening to anybody else.I am writing this review because no one deserves to be tormented or bullied, during a physically exhausted state, especially when initially came to the yoga class seeking relaxation and not to be intentionally and publicly humiliated.
Got to studio 40 min before class, unusual traffic. Girl was at desk, knocked on door, she looks right at me then practices her chair pose? Ok. Does not come to open door, an exiting student let me in. I asked why couldnt I come in she says this is my time, I dont have to open door until 30 min before class. Only this studio get a one star, Atlanta, Minneapolis, Baltimore and Utah studios all get five stars. This studio is very unfriendly. I am cancelling my membership.
I have taken two CPY 1 classes with Sally and I think shes a great instructor. Ive walked out of yoga classes due to frustration of not knowing what I am doing, but Sally has restored my faith in yoga. She went at a slow enough pace for me to figure out what I was supposed to be doing. The 2nd class was a little faster because my daughter thought the first class was to slow paced, but I was still able to follow along. Definitely take CPY 1 first if you are new to yoga!
Love this place, especially he late night yoga. All the instructors are amazing
Classes are challenging with great/positive/encouraging instructors and facilities are clean :)
Nice clean studio. But no parking. No wet wipes to clean my mat after class, or to wipe the smelly blocks before using them. The guy yoga instructors were friendly and helpful. I did not see any women instructors who seemed to have terrorised some others who wrote some negative reviews here--maybe they got fired? But, cell phones are not allowed in the studio because they are very disruptive, in addition to the fact that it has been the CPYs long-standing rule and yogi common sense/coutesy. Well, overall, I personally thought this location was okay for my one single visit I had so far because I was in town. Nameste.
I came 13 min. Before the class and the girl inside were listening music with earphones she didnt see me till 5 min and she didnt let me in.
Great people, great work out.. just show up :)
Great beginner classes, friendly folks, nice environment.
A great staff of enthusiastic teachers, spanking new studio, abundant parking!
Great staff! Classes are challenging, but totally worth it!
Great Yoga instructors!:)
