I can’t say enough good things! I wasn’t sure if my dog’s situation needed a visit to the an emergency clinic such as this one so I gave them a call and spoke with such a kind woman who was extremely helpful. Every person was so nice and kind to me and my dog. The wait time was a little long but it is covid times and my situation wasn’t an emergency so it’s totally understandable! Hopefully I won’t need to come back but if I do I know my pup will be in good hands!
Went with my dog, Timber, who had a very swollen ear. They told me it would be a long wait and gave me the option of calling around. After calling, they were the best time option. While waiting, one of the vets came out to triage and gave great advice that he wasn’t as emergent and could wait till Monday (it was a Saturday night). That saved me tons of time and money. I truly appreciated the honesty and sincere care she showed.Got him a celebratory DQ on the ride home :)
I want to say, first off, I understand the bad reviews but when people write reviews during stressful times they are grieving. While yes, the phone service is bad, the doctors can differ in opinions, the technicians and assistants were the best. When I first came in I let them know I wanted to come in, said I had my vaccine card and would wear a mask, even had a recent negative covid test. I told them my cat was very sick and could wait three hours but didn’t want to in a hot car when I knew I was trying to find a vet to either save her or make her comfortable. The doctor mentioned aggressive treatment first and leaned towards, out patient treatment next then only mentions euthanizing as a last option.I payed the pied piper (a lot) and put her in their care. While I wasn’t fond of the doctor, the nurse/technician was very kind and friendly so I released her into their care see that the support staff seemed gentle and sweet to her.The first call came through: she’s stable but hardly eating. The second call came through: she’s stable but static. This doctor doesn’t think it’s worth making her suffer at her progress rate.I’m broken hearted but have work and things to take care of so I ask them to keep her alive and as comfortable as possible until midnight.I made the hard call to put my cat down yesterday because of all her underlying conditions that were preventing her from making progress and heal with aggressive treatment. She had FIV, FELV and I was recently told feline coronavirus. Her blood cell count was down. The hard part was hearing several times, “Are you sure?” I wanted to scream at them no, but I don’t much more money to pay nor do I feel good making her live in a strange hospital that’s not home that I can’t just always be with her.The doctor there at the moment, made it hard. She asked the question and offered to roll the dice at a high price with lots of tests. She couldn’t give probabilities of success or failure, only that no one knows until they try. She said she supported my decision to euthanize but that the option is there. I had to take steps back and cry with frustration and decision fatigue. The technician, on the other hand, was helpful and made shared stories that helped making a decision easier. She told an example of when she had to, was compassionate and patient as I walked through reasoning. She explain the costs when I asked, and was helpful with finishing the paperwork while me and my brother held my baby for the last time. This decision will never be easy. Not all the staff will be on the same level of honesty, patience, and compassion. I will still have to dream and miss my best friend at the end of the day.Know that when you are going to an emergency vet, things are already on a different level and you can’t just make a hard judgement on customer service and professionalism when your an emotional mess potentially misinterpreting. Your experience will depend on how you approach the situation and your animal is not the only one there.I’ll recommend this place, not for the receptionist, nor for the doctors, but for the support staff/technicians that made my Bahgeerah’s passing a little less heavy on my heart.Yes, this place will be expensive. No emergency vet is cheap.
I have brought my pet here for emergencies a few times and I cannot say enough good things about the staff. He is my service animal so I am sometimes over protective and the staff listens to my every concern and doesnt make me feel like I am giving too much information or annoying them . We also bring him every 6-8 weeks for adequan injections and he just loves seeing everyone! Communication is one thing that this staff does extremely well and helps calm me in emergency situations.
My pup had a terrible acl tear and needed surgery. her reg vets had a long backlog so they referred us to aesc. i read some of the reviews and was concerned - but many said the surgery was very successful but the customer care sucked. they could get the surgery scheduled quickly so i went ahead and just set my expectations regarding support low.our experience was AWESOME! all of the people we dealt with were kind, supportive, responsive, informed and patient. my pup really fights against going in places where she has had a bad experience but she has no hesitation or fear at all about going in for her follow ups so i’m confident that she is treated very well in there (they are curbside for covid).i’m not dismissing the negative experiences others have reported but i wanted to weigh in with a very positive report! dr heffernan did her surgery and she is strong on that knee. they even told me we were rehabbing well at home and didn’t need pt- saving me hundreds!i recommend!
Wilson is currently undergoing chemo and the staff and Dr. Lori have been so great! They really show they care and are knowledgeable. Make it easy for us. Appointments are pre-set for us. Clear follow-up instructions. Really show you care. Chemo nurses have been amazing.
I truly appreciate the excellent care and attention you have given a number of my Irish Wolfhounds - not just Whiskey. AESC took excellent care of my dog and listened to my questions and suggestions (based on almost 50 years with the Irish Wolfhound breed.
We had a great experience that I’m super thankful for . My dog was throwing up constantly, shaking and was not acting like herself at all, I was freaking out, she never acts like this . I was told by my vet to go here and I’m so glad I did . They are trying the best to get everyone in, and they do a great job at that . They answered their phone in seconds, and got her in as soon as possible . My dog had clay/ mud/ sand stuck in her small intense and the doctors / nurses did so well at communicating with me on what’s best for her . She was hospitalized there and they called me every few hours to tell me how she was and what they were gonna do next . They made me feel really comfortable and I do trust them with my dog and them taking care of her. You do need patience to be here but they really get the job done and again I’m very happy and thankful that everything was okay with her . Thank you again for all the doctors/ nurses, i do recommend people coming here.
I was not only able to get an appointment quickly, they were also able to get my cat in for her procedure on the same day. The staff did everything well. The were confident, compassionate, informative, and helpful, just to name a few things.
AESC has provided emergency treatment on two occasions now. Despite being the middle of the night and a weekday evening, the wait was extremely short to get my 11-year-old dog in without an appointment. The examinations were thorough and the discharge instructions were well-explained. I am so grateful for the emergency care provided.
The doctor was prepared to speak to the issues of my dog based on his pervious records. I felt confident that we could manage Barons care after our visit. The appointment and consultation was perfect.
Horrific experience. I would highly recommend NO ONE ever take their pet to this facility. We have taken our pets here several times over the last 16 years and had a good experience. However, things have changed. They are understaffed unprofessional and do not communicate with each other. The nurse gave us completely different information than that provided by the veterinarian. We waited for over five hours and left without clear instructions on how to care for our pet. I grew up in a family of veterinarians and have a clear understanding of what a veterinary hospital should be. This is not it. If you take your pets there you are doing so at your own risk.
The staff that took care of bulldog Boston did an excellent job. I appreciated getting a call morning and night when the docs changed out. He is my baby and I appreciated knowing his progress and how he was doing. They cared for my pet and kept me informed! I appreciate all of the staff watching over him and keeping him safe as well as the doctors that called each day to let me know he was okay.
My Min Pin, Henry passed away unexpectedly at home during the night. Our regular vet was closed and I had used AESC twice before, so I called. The staff was amazing. Everyone I spoke to was kind and sympathetic. I was given all the time I needed, then someone came out to take his body. She was gentle and respectful with him. They all made a heart wrenching experience go as smoothly as possible.
Had a great experience, and my fur baby was well taken care of. They provided a thorough explanation of the issue and recommended treatment plan. Just be aware, you may have to wait a WHILE
Weve been to AESC in the past for emergency care and really trust the staff there to take excellent care of our pets. They took great care of our dog and helped inform us of what the issue was with his health. The one downside is that we live in Castle Rock so the drive is a bit far, but we only really trust AESC for emergencies. The best thing ever liked about our visit was they took quick care of our dog when we arrived, so there was very little waiting.
I have had to use other emergency vet clinics in the past, and I always leave feeling lost and poor. I found the perfect ER for pets here! The staff is always smiling, always willing to answer questions. They dont rush you to make a decision, yet they are empathetic to the pets and pet parents. Emergency services are never cheap, but I also didnt break the bank having surgery done. The education they give is hands down amazing. When I left my baby for surgery I knew exactly what they were doing, when, risks, etc. They call to give updates!
I want to acknowledge Dr. Dalby and the internal medicine department as well as all of the support staff for taking such good care of my kitty Boots for the last year and a half. He had many complications and they were always there to help in any way they could. They encouraged me with his at home care and made me feel cared for too. I would recommend this clinic to anyone needing special care for their 4 legged loved ones. Thank you AESC!
Vet Tech, Nicole-was very thoughtful and responsive to my pets needs. She was quick to care for my dog and receive advice from the vet on what was the best choices at the time for me and my dog. I am so appreciative of that and the care we received.
I cant speak on too much about this place, but the nurse who helped us (Kelly) was kind and patient and compassionate and she saved us a lot of money by diagnosing the problem in the parking lot and telling me that I could take her home and just monitor her. She didnt charge me anything even though I used up about 20 minutes of her time. She also didnt rush me even though there was a line and i was flustered. Thank you Kelly for helping in our time of need.
Wonderful staff and docs!! They did more outreach and follow up than my primary vet. Truly felt like they loved my kiddo and wanted the absolute best for him.
Ive taken both my dogs here for emergency visits and they are great. The staff is very communicative and friendly even when its 3 a.m. For both dogs, we were given lots of options and guidance every step of the way. The staff was great about explaining what was going on, what they were doing, and what follow up was needed.
I was very worried about my dog and the doctor who treated her was so wonderful. She was very knowledgeable and comforting I felt confident about her treatment when I left. They are quite expensive but I think most vets are. Ive been here a couple of times now and Im impressed. My only complaint is that they were very slow answering the phone both times and put me on hold for long periods of time. Thats hard when you feel like your pet needs treatment immediately. Also a bummer with covid that I couldnt accompany my puppy inside and had to discuss things over the phone. This is unavoidable I guess but some of my answers I gave the vet tech were lost in translation when they were relayed to the vet. I would definitely return with my puppy because I really trusted the vet who treated her, she was in good hands.
Even though we had to wait in the queue for quite awhile, the care given to our dog made up for it. Very professional staff. The techs and doctor were very caring. Diagnosed spinal chord injury. They followed up next day with us and our primary vet.
Our rat terrier Cleo had cervical spine surgery at AESC three years ago. We were completely comfortable returning to AESC with our new dog.Everything about this experience was excellent. We felt confident that Tamon had been correctly evaluated and was getting exactly the care he needed. We felt informed about the whole treatment plan and our involvement in it. Tamon continues to heal but he is a new dog in terms of being trusting and social, giving weight to the theory that the pain of his dislocated knee was a big part of his timidity. Every member of the treatment team seemed to fall in love with Tamon and hes gone from being afraid of touch to leaning happily into scratches and massages. There were no surprises regarding the costs, which seemed reasonable.
We arrived here mid Sunday afternoon with some concerns on our dog. They got him in right away. Within about 30 mins we got a call from Dr. Emily with an update and what next steps where going to be. Was given a time frame of roughly 2-3 hours.Got a call about an hour in and was given an update and told he would be ready to go home in about 1-1.5 hrs, And that we would receive a call when he was ready for pickup. We Never received a call so we drove down and called them . As no one is allowed inside the facility. We have been placed on hold multiple times for upwards of 15/20 mins. The front desk Girl seemed annoyed we keep calling to get our dog back. Her excuse is they have lots of critical patients. The lack of communication once Dr.Emily was done with our pet is appalling. When it comes to care for animals or even kids Communication with Parents is key. We as parents don’t need excuses. No facility should take so many pets ( 40 plus I was told my the girl at the front desk ) that the ball gets dropped.3 hrs later we finally got our baby back. After my wife went in to get our dog. Thank you Taylor for coming out to talk to us and listen to feed back!
All of the vets I saw were exceptional. The information provided and the compassion shown when I had to euthanize my dog was absolutely amazing. I am forever grateful for the kindness shown by everyone I encountered during this difficult time.
Excellent Emergency and Specialty Vet. We have moved out of Parker, but came back for specialty care. Would recommend this office for any care
My pet and I showed up on a Saturday evening with an emergency. This clinic was so responsive. They acted quickly, kindly and compassionately. After evaluating my pet they determined they needed to do an emergency surgery and did so immediately with my approval and educating me on what to expect and the cost. They constantly kept me in the loop, I never once had any unexpected surprises as far as what to expect or the fees. They where very upfront about the entire thing. During the whole process they kept me informed and up to date on her surgery and recovery after surgery. They called me several times a day to give me updates and what to expect. 4 days later I was able to bring my girl home. They still kept in contact even after I had her home. The whole team at AESC was amazing
I brought my 7 month old puppy in because she was having trouble swallowing and I believed that she got into mouse poison. I brought in the boxes of poison. They completely ignored the fact that my puppy was poisoned and diagnosed her with gastritis. They sent her home with me despite the fact that she was lethargic and struggling intermittently with deep swallows. I took her to a different hospital later that night, and they immediately started treating her for the poisoning. Unfortunately, she passed away four days later. Im really disappointed that they didnt initiate treatment for the poisoning. They just blew it off. They were more focussed on the raw diet that I was feeding my puppy and did not treat my puppy for a serious condition. LS
So grateful to the staff at AESC. They treated our family cat like one of their own. It was a tough couple of days, but we had complete faith he was in the best most capable hands. Communication was phenomenal.
AESC is one of the finest vet facilities I have seen. Dr. Brand spent a lot of time explaining the treatment we needed. I ever felt rushed or pushed in any way. His support team was also extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I was confident they would care for our dog as we do. And they did, Bravo!
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. My cousin brought her 11 week old puppy in for a broken leg. She walks in crying worrying about her puppy and the front desk had no sense of urgency. We finally go the puppy to the back and they make you go wait in your car. An hour later and they told us nothing and put us in hold. They couldn’t figure out how to sedate him and the entire process took 5 hours. The front desk and techs were extremely rude and offered no information. My cousin didn’t get to speak to an actual doctor the entire time. And there wasn’t even a person who could read x rays there. I heard on the phone a dog that was being brought in to be euthanized and then cremated and before the dog was even inside the receptionist was asking for the credit card number to pay for it. The tech also contradicted herself multiple times then got upset with my cousin for not understanding. TERRIBLE DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR PET. THIS PLACE NEEDS TO GET SHUT DOWN.
Thank you AESC for truly caring about members of our family. You got us in for an emergency situation and made us feel comfortable and answered questions to ensure we had the best information on how to continue at home care. We are so grateful that AESC was able to see us immediately. They took time out of the busy day to make us feel important.
Dr. Song and her nurse were very sweet. Doctor answered all my questions and made sure I understood. Went over possible treatment and testing for the future.
Wonderful techs and vet. So compassionate and willing to spend as much time as possible with us. Made me feel comfortable at a worrisome time
I would like to deeply thank everyone at this office. You truly made a difference in mine and my husbands life today. You helped us through one of the hardest times in our life and we wanted to let you know how grateful we both are. You took care of our baby kitty, Cash and helped him to be more comfortable while he passed. This was extremely hard for us to do and go through, but I feel at peace knowing he was in your hands. I wish I could give back more than just a good review. Thank you so much for all you did. Thank you for his ashes, I cannot tell you how much I appreciate that. Thank you for your touching words. You are all kind, caring, amazing human beings. Thank you for making today a little bit easier. Thank you 🙏
We just moved to Parker and have to put down two 15-year old dogs in 3 weeks. AESC handled both with tremedous grace, compassion and professionalism. Their care with the remains is really lovely. They are busy but I can understand why.
Staff was friendly, knowledgeable, professional and best of all my dog got what he needed and will follow up if we need to. Hopefully he wont need surgery but if he does, I know hes in the best hands possible. < 3
Your staff is wonderful! We are very thankful for Dr. Dalby, her team and all the other specialists our dogs continue to see. We know our dogs are in the very best of hands at AESC.
Everyone was so sweet to both me and my Max - he is an old guy but really just a big puppy Check in was very smooth - also the doctor spent time to explain everything very clearly
I have a little dog that has stomach issues. They always take care of her and make me feel like a good mom. They listen!
Compassionate and knowledgeable staff. High quality care. Provided out-of-the-box thinking in how to address the needs of our pet.
My dog got into a big bag of chocolate. Enough that every chocolate calculator online said the amount was potentially lethal. THE CLOCK WAS TICKING.Long story short, this place refused to see my dog for something straightforward as chocolate ingestion before talking to animal poison control. They refused to perform any intervention until we had paid $75 and sat on hold for OVER AN HOUR (again, the clock was ticking) with animal poison control.Absolutely ridiculous. We called other places, and they literally audibly laughed and told us it was ridiculous to make us wait while calling animal poison control for this. We ended up taking him to VCA Alameda, where I guess they have docs that arent so sadly inexperienced that they cant take care of a routine food ingestion without information from animal poison control.
We have utilized the specialists and emergency services at AESC for over a decade. While the services are not cheap, it gives us great comfort knowing that emergency services and specialty services are available if and when we need them. Availability of specialists, and quickness of getting appointments with specialists.
The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable! They answered all my questions that I had Help me understand the procedure my dog is about to go thru
I got an MRI from here for my kitty catShe has a squished lower spine. I had the images sent to another clinic for a second opinion, who said the images done by Parker Animal Emergency & Specialty Center are so grainy and blurry that they have to do a new MRI to give a proper assessment. I do not want to put my kitty through another MRI! And it cost me $3600 to have the MRI done at Animal Emergency & Specialty and they are no good. Why are they such a bad quality?! This is very upsetting.
From the moment the vet tech picked up my dog from the car to the call back from the Dr. Ginieczki that evening to discuss my dog’s health and care plan, I couldn’t have been more impressed. The care, professionalism, and honesty from the entire staff was so comforting. Even after only a day, our dog is remarkably better (and on a needed diet), you can just see it in her eyes and the pep in her step. And who knew frozen veggies would make the best treat ever! Thank you AESC!
They were very quick to respond to my dog Oliver’s needs after he had issues after his back legs Tplo surgeries
Everyone that I had interacted with they were Very friendly, detail oriented, & knowledgeable. Everything about them was amazing
The staff here was incredibly responsive, kind, and helpful when my cat unfortunately succumbed to intestinal cancer.
I have had two experiences here, in emergencies. Both were handled without flaw. Thank you.
The doctors at AESC are wonderful. They gave us tons of treatment options and helped us make the best choice for our dog. They really take the time to talk with patients. Pros: Communication and compassion.
Excellent medical care for my dog! Very kind and patient vet tech and vet!< br />< br />It was a REALLY long wait. But the vet tech was really great!
I just had to put my dog down. The staff was very caring and the vet was amazing. He sat in that room and talked to us until we were ready to say goodbye to our best friend. Very professional and very caring. Thank you for taking such good care of my boy 💔
This facility truly cares about their patients. We were treat with the upmost respect. The receptionists were so wonderful on the phone (even though they were crazy busy, the vet tech was so sweet and listened well, and Dr. Song diagnosed our dog in such an honest manner. She communicated the course of her recommended treatment including honest prices. The clinic IS WONDERFUL and truly saved our dogs life!!
All about the Money. This place only cares about the money. Took my dog in and they said he need emergency surgery and it would cost me $8,000, which I dont have so I asked how much it would cost to euthanize him and that was $700. Just the visit was almost $600.Waited until Monday and went to another vet that performed the procedure for $650 and hes fine now. This place does not care about your pet just your pocketbook. It just makes me sick to my stomach that I almost killed my dog because of these people.
Overall, I was very impressed with the level of care and communication we received for our dog who experienced a luxated hip and required FHO surgery. The only negative about the experience was the long initial wait time to be seen. After arriving on a Sunday afternoon, we waited almost 3 hours before our dog was taken in and we then waited in our car for another 1.5 hours before getting a call from the vet to inform us of next actions. However, after that point we felt as though the staff went above and beyond to communicate with us and that our dog was in good care. We have Trupanion pet insurance and were impressed with AESC for handling the insurance coordination and for providing consistent and thorough communication on medical options, expenses, updates, and post-op care from all of the technicians and vets/surgeons that we talked to.
I would like to give 10 stars thank you to Dr. Hoard and vet technicians Christie and Patrick for their knowledge, big hearts and skills. Yesterday night we brought our cat Phil, very miserable, to the AESC Parker and from the first call, (I wish I remembered the name of the receptionist), everyone was super helpful and compassionate. Soon we were going back home, all of us feeling much better:) They even showed us how to give the meds and eye drops and ointment to our cat. I think their prices are very reasonable.
Awesome customer service. Great communication about my pet. /Care of my pet from beginning to end. Great professional courtesy
We took our Nibblet in to see Dr. Song. She was amazing with him. We are beyond blessed and thankful we made the decision to do an MRI to see if his pain was coming from his neck to make sure it wasn’t his vertebrae. It was actually pain coming from his leg/shoulder. She was very thorough with our Nibblet. He seems to be on the road to recovery. We thank you so much for caring for our baby. I would recommend Dr. Song to anyone.
I would give them 0 stars...HORRIBLE SERVICE!! The lady with glasses and long hair came out to my car 4 hours after checking in. She said it was going to be another 6 hours. Their live time on the web said not busy and the parking lot was empty. The girl that came out was rude. I will NEVER trust them with my dog.
What a joke of a place and staff! They told us sure bring your cat in and drive an hour to get to the facility and when we get here call their number on their signs and get told they were now at max capacity and they were at max capacity shortly after we called but didn’t say anything about being close/near capacity on the phone! They said there were “no managers” to speak to!! And it definitely shows! Don’t waste your time coming here as it’s a joke of a facility!
Miserable experience. Our 14week old puppy had a urinary tract infection and literally could not hold her bladder. Based on reading that the UTI can lead to kidney failure, we considered this an emergency. Our vet was overbooked and couldn’t fit us in but recommended AESC. After sitting in the filthy parking lot for over 3 hours and not being seen by anyone (no walking in-you just have to wait) I had to take my poor puppy home to try another day. Parking lot is full of trash and feces- not a healthy place for dogs. Employees were seen leaving around 7p and we waited until after 9p. Nothing. It was never explained that we could end up waiting that long so completely unprepared. If you have a choice, go to Seven Hills Vet hospital (also 24hrs). They were fantastic.
Our dog needed a splenectomy to remove a tumor and Dr. Brand was our surgeon. He was amazing! During the pre-op appointment, he answered every question I had before I even asked them. He was very thorough and friendly. This wasnt our first pet surgery so we were prepared for a rough recovery period, but our pup was doing well the very next day. The sutures were so clean. There wasnt even any swelling! I cant say enough about how wonderful Dr. Brand is!
I have been here several times with several different dogs including mine and my mother-in-law’s fir oncology and ER. Every interaction that I have is top notch. I only wish they offered routine vet care!
Staff were professional, expedient and very informative. The veterinary neurologist, Dr. Rachel Song was wonderful.
Personal the staff were very kind and friendly people, they’re very very pet friendly so you don’t need to worry about your pet getting hurt while In their care. However in exchange you’ll find that your wallet while be running low or empty by the end of it. If your family that is in the mid to lower income part of society I would not recommend it. But if you have the money for this feel free to go as stated earlier the staff are very kind people.
I would give a 0 if I could. I called bc my dog was acting strangely and I wasn’t sure what happened to him. He seemed to be very anxious and not breathing right. I was calling on my way to make sure they were open and he could be seen. She said they were full and it would be a very long wait. She said to check his gums to see if they were white bc that could happen from respiratory distress. I was told that could happen within minutes but at the same time that I would have wait a very long time to be seen. I said I need to get somewhere in case it does happen since it can happen in minutes and if I’m at home I won’t be able to get somewhere in time. She proceeded to tell me the other hospitals he could go to. I never give negative reviews but this experience was absolutely awful so if you care about your furbabies don’t take them here.
We like the fact its close to our house< br /> Yes
Like all emergencies it happens at a terrible time and they were awesome here taking care of my chihuahua “Minnie” they were thorough and courteous at 2am with multiple animals to take care of, I have been here multiple times and even unfortunately had to put my lab down here years ago and they were amazing every time….thank you
We brought our beloved pet here for what turned out to be end of life care. The staff was great and did not rush us.
Painful experience and very unprofessional. They don’t care about animals and are severely under staffed.
As the closest hospital to Colorado Springs that has an MRI machine, I have no choice but to recommend AESC. However, because of the comfort and care Ana has received there, I am glad to recommend you, the main reasons being the quality of the surgery plus the personal attention to Ana while she was separated from us.You do, however, need to improve the response time to an incoming call. To always be put on hold for minutes at a time when trying to check in for an appointment is very annoying, especially when the weather outside is very hot or very cold. (This is during Covid times).
The entire staff have always been compassionate and conscientious with not only our dog, but we humans :) Thank you, to all of you, for your hard work, dedication, and compassion!!
I carried my dog in with a laceration that needed stitches. I arrived at 4:30pm, I was told that it would be 650.00 to stitch up his ear and that it would require sedation. The cut was about 4 inches long and needed attention. 4 hours passed, I called in to asked about my dog. Still havent gotten to him, 6 hours called back, still in kennel and havent gotten to him, Midnight, I called and said I was in the parking lot to get my dog and take him somewhere else. Oh, we just took him back. An hour later, I got the first phone call from the center that he was ready and there was an additional charge of over 100.00. Tonight, the wound has ruptured due to excessive fluid from infection which could have most likely been prevented if he would have gotten proper care when I carried him in instead of waiting 8 hours to attend to him. I only wish I would have taken the time to read the other reviews about this place before taking him here. If you love your pet, go somewhere else!!!!
My dog was brought in for not putting any weight on his right rear leg. After 6 hours there they finally took radiographs and told me there was a good chance the swelling was cancer and no fracture was seen. I asked for the radiographs and showed the doctor the luxation of his toe myself to which she replied no need to worry its a non weight bearing digit. He is now at cvsg getting proper care. The staff in Parker refused to have a different doctor there review the radiographs or treat him.Update: I spoke with management who refunded the visit but still insist it is a tumor despite another vet clinic reducing his luxation. The swelling seen on the radiograph is his foot pad not a tumor. I am also a veterinarian. I was told by the staff that they agree with Dr Allen about it being a tumor. I can no longer trust sending any of my clients to this er. I never got a return call from the medical director and cannot believe they would miss this. I am open to discussing the situation but I doubt they will bother to contact me.
I work mainly with Sports Medicine but have branched out to other specialities because Dr. Hart and her team are so amazing, I suspected the other departments were equally as great and so far you have met my expectations. I live in Fort Collins, 8 minutes away from CSU-VTH, but drive 1.5 hours to go to AESC because the staffs expertise is phenomenal, their compassion endless, and I feel like they give my dogs the best care possible. All around AESC is exceptional, but one point in particular that makes them stand out is the follow-up I receive on my pets health after appointments. Making sure I have someone to talk to and support us as I manage my dogs health has been unparalleled. This is the first clinic Ive been to where I feel like Im supported and my dogs are cared for even when Im not at the clinic. One of my dogs has an orthopedic disease that will need life-long medical management, feeling like we (his doctor and me) are in this together makes me confident that I am giving him the best life I can possibly give him.
We started taking our 11yo Husky to Dr. Janet Lori in Nov after he was diagnosed with cancer. We unfortunately lost our boy this week but Dr Lori and the girls in Oncology gave us 2 months of amazing memories we never thought we would get when we first learned he was sick. the care they gave him and the comfort they gave us is something we will forever be grateful for. While we hope to never have to see them again with future pups, I know our dogs would be in amazing hands if we did.
All the reviews below I have experienced 1st hand on March 6th 2021. After Spending over $600 with zero answers or results on how to make my dog better. I waited in the parking lot from 11-6PM and still no answers. It was beyond disappointing. I will NEVER take my dog here again. Read the reviews before coming here.
Incredible care for my terrified and anxious pup. made my pup feel safe.
Though Im extremely thankful that I was able to bring my dog in and have him looked at/taken care of, Im not impressed with whoever answers the phone. I called back awhile after my visit today (4/4/21) to get a quote on something else that I needed to bring my dog in for, got left on hold for 9 minutes and was hung up on. Called back again, the person didnt even let me get 2 words out and immediately placed me back on hold again. 5 minutes after being put on hold someone finally answers, pretends that they dont hear me and then I get hung up on. Utterly frustrating experience especially when Im trying to look out for my dog..
My 8 year old german shepherd was diagnosed with lymphoma by another specialist and I was referred to AESC. My boy had dropped like 15 pounds, was lethargic, barely eating, walking slow. He was dying.Dr. Lori examined him, and gave his prognosis. It wasnt good, she was straight yet compassionate. She outlined the treatment plans, options, pricing, and probability of success. I agreed to give the chemo plan she suggested, and within 6 weeks Beorn has gained all his weight back, is playful, happy, energetic, and currently in complete remission. We both know that remission doesnt mean a cure, but she has given Beorn back his life and me my heart. Theyve been great every step of this hard journey, even during covid times, and I couldnt be more thankful.
Note: this is for the dermatology department. I havent had any interaction with the other departments here.I was referred here by my regular vet because we had already tried so many things. Benadryl, Apoquel, Cytopoint injection, hydrolyzed protein diet... and nothing was helping my little guy with his allergies! I felt so bad when he would chew his paws constantly and nothing was working.Well, Dr. Diamond to the rescue! She started with an allergy test - Tater is allergic to SO many things. Out of 52 items, he was allergic to 31 of them! Im so glad we took our guy to see her because he is already feeling so much better with his injections. I wish we would have gone sooner so he wouldnt have been suffering for months BUT Im glad we got it sorted out now!I would highly recommend Dr. Diamond to anyone who has a pet struggling with allergy issues!
If you care about your pet, please go to ANY other ER clinic and then go see Happy Tails Vet.The vet at happy tails will not only give you a better price but give your pet the care your pet needs.ANIMAL EMERGENCY AND SPECIALTY CENTER will make sure you feel your pet will die if they don’t take all your money and preform the procedure themselves. They are money hungry vets who think since they work late hours deserve your every last penny. They don’t.
Zero compassion. They adamantly denied pet owner visitation (a policy that is contradicted on their website) over the course of several days, only to later back track once several people posted about it to their social media. Owner was finally able to see their pet, but it was too little too late. Completely unacceptable.
REVISED!! Within 24 hours I received a call from the center! I so so so appreciate that! The Dr left a VM and offered to take back the items! The fact that someone called back and showed compassion is what I remembered about our first experiences with AESC!!! I appreciate the care and the desire to what to make things better!! Thank you!!!!!!! I have updated my rating and again thank you AESC for taking that step!!!I have been a client with AESC off and on for many years for my doggy Lemon. The first visits were for two knee replacements nearly 8 years ago— the staff and team at that time was INCREDIBLE!!! They cared dearly about Lemon and took great care of her. She was recently diagnosed with diabetes and referred there for that and her skin condition. I was excited to go back due to the great treatment she received. Boy was I ever so disappointed! And I am NOT one to write bad reviews but I have to say I don’t know how else to express my concern!! The medication prescribed is priced at times almost double the price of other places (insulin needles were $50 — when they are $20 else where—- insulin was $90 when at Costco it is $50). I found out about the Costco price due to a really nice hospital resource at AESC. The drs have been ok- somewhat cold but ok. But the pricing has by far been the biggest concern and then the phone service resources have been a bit rude at times as well. When you go to the hospital for your pet it would be so so so helpful if they went over pricing before they put you in a bad position— like after the service has been performed and choices are not discussed. The first two visits for Lemon were in total almost $800 which was a big surprise as I was not informed prior to the visit what to expect. I love Lemon dearly and want to make sure she is cared for properly— I also have (2) children in college and another in private school— so as you can imagine we have to plan carefully for expenses. Again I was so looking forward to going back to AESC and was so incredibly disappointed in the service and pricing structure.
My beloved 14 1/2 year old franchise was brought there for difficulty breathing. Chest X-ray done to rule out pneumonia but no radiologist there to read the film. The doctor could only see gas in the esophagus and told me the radiologist was going to give me the result the next day but I still haven’t received report now. My dog was sent home after given some fluid & Cerenia for vomit with diagnosis of GI discomfort. Later in the afternoon I called to ask questions but was told the doctor was in the middle of something, will call me later which never happened. My dog Louie died next morning, possible pulmonary embolism. An emergency fertility should have experienced doctors all time not just charge money to perform test but no result of the test. Don’t take your pets there if you want your pets to be taken care of by knowledgeable & responsible staff.
This place is the absolute worst. In fact- I am convinced that the 5 star reviews are completely fake! All of the ladies who answer the phone act like they hate you and their job and as a result- you suffer as a customer. The doctors are cold and show no empathy for your sick pet. They charge you for lab work ( which I have no problem with) but then there is ZERO follow up on the lab results! I called numerous times to get the results and was told the doctor was busy with other patients. I find that hard to believe. This place is never busy.
These guys are amazing! Took our dog in after he decided to sniff a porcupine. The tech was so kind and our dog clearly adored her as he let them take out the quills with no fight and no sedation. We were in and out within minutes. Highly recommend this emergency vet clinic. We had a great experience. Thank you for taking such good care him
Absolutely terrible place! TAKE YOUR PET ANYWHERE ELSE! I used to work at a vet hospital and I know how busy vet hospitals can get, but there is no excuse for having no compassion. The incompetency, and taking days to fill my dogs pain meds and never returning our calls is the most infuriating thing about this place! And they charge a fortune! Disgusted in the service and staff.
We have taken both of our dogs here more than we would’ve wanted. The staff were very responsive and empathetic. The doctors were professional, quick, confident, and decisive. They treated my pets’ emergencies as such. I have been to another local pet ER recently and cannot say the same (they did not begin resuscitative treatment until they collected a down payment first, wasting critical time that my pet could have been undergoing treatment).
We very much appreciate your care for Corky in her final hours.
So sad. It was hard enough and heartbreaking I had to pick up our Daisys ashes...... They put me on hold, came back, ask me to hold again and after or 15 -20 minutes of waiting my call got sent to their voicemail. What a terrible system. So upsetting!!!
I hope we never need to come here again for another pet emergency, but if we do, this is the place to go. They are responsive, supportive, and honest. We mostly worked with the vet tech, Patrick, and he was amazing. He took the time to explain everything about the challenges our dog was having, answered all of our questions, and didnt make us feel like he was rushed. Great vet clinic!
READ THE RECENT REVIEWS BEFORE COMING HERE!! I brought my French bulldog in last night after she was attacked. She was minimally evaluated for her injuries and I took her to her normal vet today to find out she was completely misdiagnosed of her injuries. AESC sent me home without her medications in her discharge bag. Came back to pick up her medications that I was told were “sitting on the counter” and waited for over an hour in the parking lot after 4 phone calls asking why they can’t just run her medications to us. Many cars came and went between our arrival. They are not responsive to customer service, cannot perform simple tasks in a timely manner, and the care here is subpar. Also, prepare yourself for an OUTRAGEOUS bill for a simple examination. Trust me, take your business and your pet elsewhere. Clearly they care only about making money.
Dr. Hart and her team in Sports Medicine are amazing! Very professional and responsive. They always answer all my questions and do great with my crazy puppy. I would highly recommend AESC.
Abella is a terrible human being and very rude. She is just awful, the worst, she’s rude has no respect for anyone but herself.
