This Salvation Army has it together. Well organized areas and friendly staff. A little depleted in the Mens section and some wares are steep but otherwise its a really enjoyable thrift.

As someone who loves a good bargain, I enjoy shopping here. I have shopped here for years. While most people go to Goodwill for a bargain, they cannot beat the prices here. 1$ shirts and pants? Sometimes they have 50% off day so every clothing item is only 0.25 or 0.50. Especially since the clothes are clean, some are brand new and some are even name brand! Also the discounted days apply to furniture as well. We once furnished a place with only 255$ on a 50% off day here which included: a recliner, 2 couches, and a desk. You cannot beat that!

The salvation army is a non-profit organization that does more for the community than goodwill ever would. All women and mens clothing are one dollar and childrens clothing are fifty cents. If you dont receive the best if service take into consideration that you are literally being served by maybe 4 actually staffed employees and the rest are volunteers. Goodwill charges half of what you could pay for an item in the store and all of the proceeds go directly into cooperate pockets. What the salvation army needs is volunteers. The proceeds from donations to this establishment can at least be seen somewhat in or local community. Dont stop donating and give this place a chance to shop in. There are some great finds.

Its a domestic violence shelter. I stayed for a few days. At first, everyone was nice and fair to me. But when my abuser Michael made contact with them, the staff and the residents became abusive towards me as well. They sided with him. I would not recommend this shelter. They gave me hurt when I needed safety.

After cleaning my closet out, I had several bags of clothing, handbags and odds and ends and decided to take them to Salvation Army. The sign at the donation center said to honk your horn for assistance, which I did. One lady came out, gave me a funny look, she went back in and then came out again, she went to a bench sat down and started to smoke a cigarette. After about five minutes a man came out and joined her, all this time, I was stood by my car with the trunk open. After another 15 minutes I finally came to the conclusion that they were not accepting donations anymore and drove to Goodwill who were very happy to take my items. This is the second time that Salvation Army has let me down, the first time they told me off because I took my clothing in a plastic storage container and asked if I could keep the container. I was told in no uncertain terms that I must never take a donation in a container that I was not leaving or they would not accept it. How crazy is that.

Bay County SA doesnt have enough available resources to meet some of the important needs of certain situations. However, given what is available, this location does go the extra mile trying to find someone who could..

The salvation army does not help like in Puerto Rico and other states. Here NEVER is an employee who was the contact assigned to me to help me overcome my situation as a victim of domestic violence and NEVER called me to get the theories that I needed so much. They only gave me 2 matresses that I appreciate and nothing else 8 months later I am under severe depression and in the same ones since I arrived because the language and here I CANNOT GET WHO I SPANISH SPANISH. They left me helpless and disoriented. BECAUSE THEY NEVER HELPED ME NOR CALLED ME FOR ANYTHING AND SO MUCH IT SAYS THE 211 UNITED FUNDS THAT HELP ME THROUGH 211 THEY HAVE NOT HELPED ME. THE AUTHORITIES DID NOTHING HERE. Very difficult to get up like this. Almost impossible one needs therapy help. Is not easy. That if the overdue bread that they put has helped me.
