The lobby and pool areas are nice. The rest of the hotel is pretty dated. Shower did not supply sufficiently hot water and was pretty low pressure as well.Gym is cramped and half the dumbbells are missing. My garden /pool view room was overlooking the top of the pool grill building, AC units, etc!

I really enjoyed my stay here. Having the opportunity to go sit by the pool with a glass of wine and a cheese tray while the kids splashed around the pool. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The rooms are pretty spacious and everything is sanitized and clean. There there is some construction going on in maneuvering around the parking lot is a little challenging. Very close proximity to Stanford university in Stanford Hospital.I would definitely stay there again.

The service and staff here are TOP NOTCH! The hotel was clean, super quiet, comfortable, and provided almost anything you could need... We truly enjoyed our stay. Were it not for the power outage (city, not property), I wouldnt have deducted a star. No one came around to offer lanterns or information... we had to go searching for someone to ask in the pitch black at an unfamiliar place at almost 11pm. But, hey, good training, I guess! The pool is heated and lovely, and they currently run a 4 hour reservation system so it wasnt crowded at all. The restaurant provided good food and decent cocktails, and the bed was super comfortable. The rooms are a touch dated (80s inspired Asian decor) and ours was a little dusty from lack of use, but we didnt mind giving it a quick clean up of our own given the times. All in all, we would definitely go back and stay again, which is pretty much the best review anyone can give these days!

This hotel was sub par compared to any other Sheraton property we have stayed at. We came for a Stanford Baseball camp and the experience was amazing with the exception of our stay at this hotel. We did not have a working toilet for the first 48 hours, no towels and keys that did not work creating multiple trips to the front desk to get working keys. The condition of the overall property and service was not good at all. We will absolutely do the camp again, but will NEVER stay here again. This was the general feeling about most people we talked to about their stay here. I am extremely disappointed in the quality and service we received.

Wish there would be a minus ranking! Manager just refused my son at the checking and put him “on the street”, although he had a valid booking. Instead helping him and at least offering to help finding another hotel or ymca he taught us about Sheraton’s company policy (“no unaccompanied traveling of minors” - our son is 18 in 2 months!) and insulted us instead offering any apology or alternative. That’s what we all expect from a Sheraton - to put our kids on the street, right?! Truly “customer service” at it’s best!!!

I wanted to like this hotel due to its great location, however a series of events have prevented that. There was no water to take a shower in the morning when I was on my way to meetings, the front desk staff was not equipped to deal with this. I was told a manager would contact me which never happened, several guests asked to be compensated and we got nothing. I asked for the room to be vaccumed due to dust allergies for three days the room was never vaccumed. I came back to the room after I asked for cleaning services to find wet towels on the entrance to my room. The drainage in the shower was not working… I asked for a lamp since could not see anything in the room I was promised one for 3 days and nothing happened. The staff for the most part was useless and didn’t try to help - they simply didn’t have the tools to help but also didn’t seem to really care. Been a Marriott premium member and SPG (rip) for a decade this must have been my worst stay overall…

The facility was impeccable and loved the campus feel. Ive been staying with Marriott for 30 years and never felt so safe anywhere in a hotel with all that is going on with corona virus. We have been staying at this Sheraton often over the last two years. We are patients at the Stanford Hospital and University Medical complex and have stayed here during our visits from out of town. This hotel is not only perfectly located near the hospital, it it close to downtown, Stanford University, the Stanford Mall, and an abundance of. restaurant and shopping options. The Sheraton is a comfortable place to spend time with excellent food and a centrally located pool and social area. The entire hotel staff is incredibly warm and welcoming. On site parking is very convenient as well. This Sheraton participates with a group of local hotels to offer “Stanford Hospital Rates” to those who are involved with medical care/appointments at the hospital. If you are going to be in Palo Alto for that reason, call the Sheraton via the Palo Alto number and ask for their in-house reservation person. They go out of their way to help. We’ve enjoyed the Sheraton during our stays and will always select this specific hotel when staying in the area.

Sheraton staff couldn’t have been nicer. Front desk upgraded me to a nicer room as a Marriott Bonvoy member. Restaurant staff were lovely. When I left my sandals at the pool and didn’t remember until the next day, I found out they had been turned into lost and found by a housekeeper named Bruno. Got them back right away. Honest and hard-working staff are a tribute to this hotel. Room was very nice, beds extremely comfortable, bathroom was modern and updated. We used the pool area to relax and the 83 degree pool was not quite 83, but felt refreshing nonetheless since it was a warm October day of almost 90 degrees. Lots of towels and good music. Ive been staying here every weekday of September this year. The first night despite asking for a quiet room as place right next to a stairwell and there were teenagers to 20 something-year-olds running up and down the stairs. The next week I came in I mentioned that without hesitation they gave me an internal facing room on the 4th floor. It was quiet and at least the internet was mostly stable. The third week I came back I got another internal facing room so is quiet but the internet was abysmal at best. Intermittent disconnection intermittent internet out despite the Wi-Fi still being up, and the front desk not knowing how to properly escalate or troubleshoot the issue. Fourth week I came out I was treated like a third class citizen because it was my final week out. Or at least thats how it felt. I got a room on the 4th floor, right next to the room I had the week before where the Wi-Fi was abysmal. The front desk person did not have any information on what was done or whether it was still good. So I accepted the room went in and the air condition was broke. Mind you I came from 55° weather in Minnesota to 95° weather in California with AC not working it was unacceptable. At this time the manager got me across the hall on an internal facing room again so hopefully its quiet, and explain that the Wi-Fi was redone the weekend before. However Im still having issues with the Wi-Fi. I would not recommend this place for a business stay. I also would not recommend it for any stay whatsoever where you werent anticipating staying in the hotel room simply because the Wi-Fi is terrible at best. Maybe its just poor customer service due to Covid 19, but I am not happy with this place.

Meh! Rooms & property are clean & well maintained, but the rooms are woefully dated!! As if this were the 1990s or early 2000s. I base this on the fact that it still has a Cat 5 cable for internet connection! At least it has complimentary wifi in the rooms!Im one of those travels who enjoys laying in bed with my laptop, & my phone charging at my side. This place has NO Plug-ins near the bed what-so-ever!! Most modern hotels at least have a lamp with USB ports to charge your phone! Instead it has a table/desk, 7 feet away with plug-ins built into it. CORRECTION: My apologies, the nightstands DO have both outlet & USB plug-ins! The nightstands in my room were just pushed up against the bed, hiding from plain site. There is a small refrigerator in the rooms, but no microwave! This too is a holdover from the turn of the century! Not sure wheter you can ask the front desk for one, but one would think a hotel in Silicon Valley would have overcome such dated practices long, long ago!Final thoughts are if youre not as picky of a traveler as I am, the hotel is located well in Palo Alto. Stanford U. and the shopping center is a mile or so away, & University Ave/downtown PA is just behind the hotel. (On the other side of the tracks... Ha! Reference to the transit station with Cal Train access).

The staff is nice and very professional. There property however, leaves something to desire. Yes the rooms are clean, which you would expect, but the property itself is extremely dated. As a matter of fact, dated back to the 80s. This combined with the fact the the typical cost of the rooms is significant, leaves me feeling taken advantage of... In fact, I feel like the owners are of the opinion, ... Why would I invest in this property if its always full and I can still get top dollar?Well, I would never slight someone for taking advantage of a situation to make money. But geez, if you are going to inflict highway robbery upon me, at least give me a place to plug my phone in next to my bed. Thats right, this place will stick you for a lot of money AND make you plug your phone in across the room. Go figure.

The Sheraton Palo Alto is in an amazing location but it is a tired and old hotel which has barely been updated for years. There are no outlets by the bed. They still have plugs to dial into the internet! This is amazing considering it’s location practically on Stanford ‘s campus in the heart of Silicon Valley. The only reason we stayed here is because my daughter came in for pre-op testing because shes going in for brain surgery next week. Now were stuck over 100 miles from home with no gas money or money for food. This is the worst experience Ive ever had with a hotel, I wouldnt pay money to stay here again, thank God it didnt come out of my pocket this time because I would have paid them $5 for the room and the service because thats all it was worth. The beds are exceptionally comfortable, Breakfast in the poolside grill is very good, the bar is good.I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to be in the area for business or leisure - or anywhere in teh silicon valley area.

The Sheraton Hotel Palo Alto is an older hotel where the rooms have just be nicely renovated. The Poolside Grill has also been upgraded offering outstanding food, one of the best I have seen at any hotel at this caliber. Some public areas need an update but over all this is a solid good hotel

My husband and I needed to stay the night in PA because our son was at Stanford. We found a great deal and snapped it up! We couldn’t have been more excited and happy to be so close to SUMC. Five minutes! Sheraton is very close to everything. We were tired, and needed sleep. Check in was quick, upgraded to a pool view room and complimentary breakfast. It was probably the best night of sleep I’d had in awhile. The bed was so comfy and the sheets were perfect! We were very impressed with the bathroom and layout. I’m jealous and am making my husband remodel ours. Lol.

Sheraton Palo Alto Hotel is conveniently located, close to Stanford University, Stanford Shopping Center, and Palo Alto downtown. My room was nicely decorated. It was also quiet. Staff - from check in to check out and in between - were most attentive.
