Very expensive place for a haircut. The hairdresser doesn’t listen to our needs. They do and suggest as they feel right for our hair. Wont be coming back here again. The cleaning process after haircut is hopeless. Not value for money. Covid protocols have been maintained. Most of them are vaccinated.

Christina is the best. The quality service and price are honestly worth it because Christina knows exactly what cut to give every time I come in. Even with the mask mandates her bright, professional attitude always makes the experience welcoming and thoughtful. I recommend Christina to anyone on the penninsula looking for a haircut!

I couldn’t get in to my regular barber due to my busy work schedule so I thought I would try this place. I booked with one of their “master stylists” thinking that for $75 plus tip I could get a decent haircut. I was wrong. I showed the stylist a picture of what I usually get and they totally missed the mark. I got home and looked at the back and now I know why they avoided showing it to me after my haircut. Avoid this place if you want any type of decent bald fade. Go to an actual men’s barber shop. 2 stars for the free sodaEdit: The owner was very responsive and refunded me my money for this awful haircut. However, the more I look at myself in the mirror, the more upset I am that I have to walk around with this until it grows back out.

Its always a great experience coming here. My brother and I both drive up from Milpitas to come here. Great staff (miss the old front office folks though- they were much more friendlier. The new staff is professional but doesnt have the warmth). The hair stylists however are amazing. Very professional, talented and always ready to make you feel and look amazing. Definitely recommend this spot.

I came to this place after a 30 minute drive to get a good consultation on hair styling but I’m extremely disappointed in the way the stylist cut my hair. To add to being a senior stylist, she made a blunder with my beard style and wanted to leave it as it was, and I had to ask her to correct it. Even your near by Supercuts will do a better job, so all the fanciness here is just a show. I had pay $115 for the services and I’m extremely dissatisfied about the whole experience. Needed a haircut, as I am new to this area. Called and they were able to fit me in for a same day cut with Susan. I showed her a picture of the fade that I previously got at another salon, and she knew exactly what I was looking for.Susan was attentive to my needs, sociable, very kind, and is a great stylist. I am very pleased with the hair cut Susan gave me, and I will definitely be back to see her in 3 weeks. Thanks, Susan!

Went to 18|8 for the first time yesterday and had a good experience with Lisa. There was something a little off in the haircut, which I only realized this morning. I called them, they fit me in quickly, and Lisa solved the issue! Thanks for the good haircut and experience!

I will always get my haircut here. Specifically thanks to Lisa. She always does a great job. I can confirm this because I always get multiple compliments on my haircut for the next week or so. There’s not a much better feeling than walking away knowing your hair is 100% on point.Be sure to request Lisa if you want a perfect haircut done by a super nice person!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER...both in terms of hair cut and customer service. I had a hair cut with JULIA for the first time today and gave her one cardinal rule - don’t make the sides round, make them straight. I showed her pictures of a time when someone got it perfect. She said she understood. Then when we get done and I put my glasses on she not only did the exact thing I told her NOT to do, but then proceeded to deny that the side was round. I show her the original and she denied it. I put the straight edge of my phone to it and she still denied it. I told her we were done and she continued to tell me I was wrong. So I walked out and told the receptionist to have the manager call me. The receptionist (STEFANIE) didn’t stop me to apologize or remedy the situation and the manager (JESSICA) hasn’t yet called me. To add insult to injury when I had arrived my booking which I completed over the phone the day prior wasn’t found any where and so I ended up waiting 15 min for my “scheduled” appointment. If you’re paying $50-70 + tip for a haircut, the place needs to work right. Failures all around. update: the owner called me to try to smooth things over, and he almost did a good job and I considered coming back, until I heard how the staff at the shop falsely accused me of harassment and vulgar language, both of which never happened. Dont support these stylists, they lack professionalism, honesty, common sense, basic manners, and do not respond well to feedback.

Great experience getting a haircut today from Ann. Definitely recommend her for her skill and service! Felt safe as well as they followed covid safety protocols wearing multiple layers of masks and the salon has individually partitioned booths.

EDIT:PLEASE FIX THE AC!!!It was unbearably hot last week and it was such a painful experience getting a haircut at 18|8. I honestly felt so bad for everyone inside the building, especially for those who have to be there inside for hours.The service was definitely 5/5 in my book (Thank you, Christina, youre the best!!), but it was over 80 degrees inside and I couldnt even get a hot towel at the end (not worth it). I was first referred to this location by someone who had tried out all the different haircut places around the area and was not satisfied with the service they offered. Despite not knowing much about her because she joined recently, I was very surprised by how attentive and detail-oriented she was. Not only did she take her time while she was cutting my hair, but she also gave me meaningful advice for the next time I get a haircut. I geniunly enjoyed talking to her and I am more than positive I will visit her again in a few weeks.Overall, if you want a high quality haircut, dont think twice and visit 18/8. Nice atmosphere and good perks. Haircuts are so-so. I have been disappointed on my last two visits (more than a year apart).I decided to visit 18|8 recently because work has been crazy and this was the closest place, but I think this will be the last time I ever choose it for a haircut. For the price, it is a bummer - you can find better alternatives nearby for similar quality cuts.

The stylists here are very professional and kind. Ive worked with at least 4 different stylists (Ive never felt the need to have a dedicated stylist). Ive always left with a great haircut! The quality is high and consistent. I wouldnt go to another place!

I had a wonderful experience the second time around at 18|8. Ann was the one that cut my hair and provided me with an amazing haircut. Customer service was much better than anticipated although still somewhat pricey. Would definitely recommend arriving early to take advantage of the complimentary drinks.

First time at 18|8 and cant recommend enough. I saw Lily who did a fantastic job of my hair and keeping the conversation going. The salon has plenty of drinks and the staff are super friendly. Have already booked my next appointment.

Just moved to the area recently and needed to find a salon to replace my old one. This place went above and beyond my expectations. The service was excellent and I was very satisfied with my cut. They have mini bar with wine, beer, and sodas as well which was a pleasant surprise.

I cant see any reason for the mixed reviews on here. I was visiting on business, needed a haircut and beard trim in a hurry. Booked online and got an appt almost straight away. Jessica was my stylist. Excellent experience. She knew how to trim beards (some dont). My hair is not the easiest to cut, she did a great job. I am v happy, would not hesitate to go back when next in town or to recommend to others.

18/8 is a really nice place. Most importantly theyll give you a great haircut, but they also do a little extra. They offer drinks while you wait, they have you change out of your shirt so you dont get hair on it, and they just generally take good care of you.Jenny in particular was awesome. Highly recommend!

I have been long time customer of 18/8 in Seattle, and as far as the one in WA was the best place I had a chance to go, the one in Palo Alto is the exact opposite. Not only given an incomplete service, but the result was simply dissaponting. If you are in Seattle, visit 18/8, if you are in Palo Alto, dont make the same mistake and find some other place to go. it has way too many stylists to keep the high level, and you will be better finding a small, well reviewed place what tries to keep the standard high.

The experience was second to none. Right from check in to the minute you check out, you are treated like royalty here. Definitely worth it.

Avoid Josh. He gave me the worst haircut I have ever had: it looks sloppy and wasn’t even close to what I had asked for. He just decided something else would look better, without even consulting me!Other stylists are great (eg Marielena always gives amazing haircuts and fun conversations). Service is also nice, with drinks, massage, hot towel, etc

My manicure service was a disaster from making the reservation to the actual service. I made a reservation online and two days before the appointment, a colleague from the salon called to reschedule since the service provider wanted to go home early. I walk in at the rescheduled time, and they did not have the appointment on file. I made the appointment again just today to get the service (manicure), and the service provider was not very apt at doing what she does, from cutting the nails to cleaning the scrub and applying the buffer, she was less than an amateur. I am kicking myself that I spent $35 for an inadequate service. I will not be returning here and I will gladly go somewhere else with a much more professional service often cheaper than $30 plus tip.

Oscar is the man! First person I have really trusted with my hair in years. The waiting area is awesome and its across the parking lot from Karas Cupcakes. Whats not to love?

Dont trust the Yelp reviews. Service was very good but the quality of haircut is very, very poor. Is it worth the price? Definitely not.

So if there is one thing I’ve learned it’s that a haircut can make you look really good or really bad. 18/8 men’s salon makes sure you look good every time. They have stylist and barbers trained in men’s hair! This makes all the difference since men’s hair is very different than women’s hair. I strongly recommend 18 8

Online booking system is frustrating. I had issues logging into my account from my phone. Then I tried my computer and was able to get confirmation for my appointment, but when I showed up for my appointment a few days later, it turned out that I did not have one.

It is so not worth the price,maybe they charge you for that warm towel and small cup of coffee 70 dolor for a haircut,but but they don’t even use clippers,you can do that same thing in deferent place for 11 dollars,not happy with it ...

Appointments running late, cancellations, being handed off to different stylists, last-minute reschedules, bumped appointments, etc., etc. These people shouldn’t be running hair salons; they should be running airlines. At least airline customers have come to expect that kind of treatment. If that’s your cup of tea, 18|8 is your salon.

I used to like 18/8 a lot but they have lost their edge.

Ive been to a lot of 18/8s across the nation and Oscar gave me the best executive haircut and executive beard trim by far! I highly recommend him as he goes above and beyond!! Thanks so much Oscar!!
