Wonderful down to earth true people. Great service and knowledgeable. I am very happy with their work and their time frames for getting my bikes taken care of...This is a second home for me and my bikes.
Went by, Owner was no help referring Somewhere else to take bike. Not particularly friendly or helpful, I hope thats not how he interacts with others! If bike shops are so overwhelmed and backlogged during the COVIDvirus, why the hell arent the hiring more mechanics!?
Stopped by today while our car was getting windows tinted next door. Everything was on sale, the low prices was shocking! Liz was super sweet and helpful. Looking forward to giving them more business as I think its important to support family owned/small businesses
They dont exist any more. I could not find any information when I tried to visit it.
Good guys and they are sincere and really want to help.
I was sent to Gabe & Liz at DTS by two different folks...back when I rode Vespas. But I never needed a mechanic (fortunately). About a year ago, I purchased a 2005 Kawasaki Vulcan VN2000A that had belonged to a co-workers late husband. The bike had been in storage at a bike shop in North Carolina, but had not been serviced since being shipped to Palm Springs. When the time came, I called DTS first thing. What a fantastic move on my part!!! Gabe & Liz are both the best. Gabe is a fine mechanic who took a personal interest both in me and in MoDean, my bike, and he delivered quality service in spades. He thoroughly explained his work to me in language I could understand. Liz is quite on top of things in the front of the house, too, including making several courtesy calls to let me know where they were in the servicing, when MoDean would be ready, and how much the total was going to be -- and the total turned out to be under what I had budgeted!!! I feel as though my Kawasaki and I have found a family, a second home. Gabe & Liz are going to be along for the ride, so to speak, as I decide on future mods to make to the bike. You can bet Im gonna call Liz... and have Gabe do the work. Bravo, folks!
This is a small, family-owned repair shop, and I gotta say youd be hard pressed to find friendlier folks to assist you with whatever motorcycle needs you have. Gabe and Liz are both a pleasure to talk to and you can tell they really care about their customers and the work they do for them.I found this shop after the throttle cable on my Ninja 250 snapped while I was riding into Palm Springs for my first time there. The friend whom I was sharing a hotel room with was set to leave Wednesday morning, so I was in a rush to get my bike serviced ASAP as to not rack up expensive hotel costs in addition to whatever the repair costs would be. This was on a Sunday and no repair shops were open, so first thing Monday morning I got online and looked up well-rated repair shops in the area, settled on DTS, called the tow truck, and hoped for the best.Within 30 minutes of my arrival, Gabe had the 2 cables I needed ordered from out of town and within 24 hours he had my bike ready to go. Liz even offered to help me find a hotel to stay in should it take longer for the cable to come in than expected. They truly went above and beyond to help me, and my bike feels more responsive now than it has in months! Despite the quick timetable, the price was very reasonable as well. I honestly cannot recommend them enough!
G could not be happier Gabriel is just a perfect gentleman when it comes to knowledge and helping you pick out something to ride and helps you and follows up very courteous really takes us time with you doesnt Rush explains everything and calls you back to find out if youre okay and everything is well couldnt rate him any higher grade guy thank you Allen
Awesome small family business! They have EVERYTHING you need or want for your bike or atv. Extremely friendly and AMAZING prices! So glad I found this place, I won’t be going anywhere else for riding gear or out bikes serviced.
Gabe and staff are the best
Gabriel is a great mechanic. Hes a very honest guy, and knows what he is doing. Hes been working on my bike for about a year now, here and there and I cant be happier with his service. I would definitely recommend Desert Touring Specialties if you want an honest and reliable mechanic.
A very family-oriented place I would know he is my brother-in-law and my sister they work hard very honest and loving family. Thank you all for coming by.👍👍
I wanna say thank you to gab and liz for all the help with my 90s H2 and being her back to life. Theyve been alot of help throught the the project, and has gone above and beyond what I expected.
It was fine. It didnt have what I needed.
Gabe got my Ducati back on the road again, mounted and balanced my new Metzeler rubber and had my bike back to me a couple hours later.
There not there when you need them
I first went to DTS over a year ago for some work, and was very impressed with their friendliness and service. While I havent been back in a while, because I do a lot of the work on my bike myself, I have referred DTS to a number of people- because of how impressed I was after my first experience with them.So after this great first experience, I can only say that I was absolutely shocked after my second experience with DTS. I called to order some new tires and have them installed, and first spoke with the owner. I told him some characteristics I was looking for in my tires, and he said hed get back to me with some recommendations and prices. He also told me that he would be placing a shipment later that day, and I made it clear to him that I was looking to get this done ASAP. Over 3 hours later his wife called me with some tire brands and prices. I asked her to provide me the tire model types, however she told me that she was unable to. In fact, she became quite agitated and snarled at me that I already talked to her husband about the tires, and now she was just calling to provide prices. I explained to her that I never discussed specific tire models with her husband, and would like to know what I am purchasing before I provide her my credit card number. She finally agreed to have her husband give me a call back as soon as he was available, so that he could provide me the information and get the order in in time. The rest of the day goes by and I never hear back from DTS... not in the morning either... So I finally give them a call and the owner answers. I explain who I am, and that I didnt receive a call back, so I was calling to follow up. He was very cold to me and seemed shocked when I told him I was looking for the model of the tires. [Is it that strange to want to know what you are paying money for??] After finally providing the model information, he informed me how the tires would take at least a few days longer now since the shipment order had already been placed. I told him I was quite disappointed I didnt hear back from him yesterday, so that we could have made the deadline, as I told him I intended. Did I receive an apology, an explanation, or any kind word at all? No. I received an: Ok, well the next shipment wont be for at least a few days. What a disappointment. He made it very very clear to me just how much my business is valued.I told him I would get back to him if I wanted to procede at this point, but was luckily able to find another shop in the valley who actually has better reviews and came in with a lower price. So needless to say, I will certainly never return to DTS, or recommend them to any one else in the future.
Just paying respect were its due. I been a coustmer for just a lil bit but feel like a welcomed coustmer every time. Gabriel is a great and honest mechanic. Really enjoy its a family Shop. If you need your bike worked on this is a awesome spot.Thxs again that guy on the fz 09.
The Maestro of my motorcycle good trustworthy mechanic.
Bought a motorcycle there just recently they signed it over and everything go to get it registered apparently theres over $600 in fines that are attached to that bike. So they do not sell bikes with clean titles like they say. Avoid this place as much as possible.. the $600 in lien was never mentioned it was said with taxes and everything it would be about $600 at the DMV but not a lien.
Great shop and pleasant customer service.
Best, fast, friendly service in the valley!
I recommend it to Gabriel, he is a very good mechanic and he always tries to help you as soon as possible to fix your motorcycle, and his very friendly wife Liz attends you at the window.
