I have used Freight Center twice now. The first time I was pretty much billed double for an Item I ship all the time. They said it was twice the weight that my digital scale said it was. Which meant they charged double. I have read many reviews that claim the same thing. Hard to believe we are all wrong weight the common denominator is Freight Center. It gets worse, my second shipment was a custom set of Mile Markers for a client. I built a special crate for. I added extra insurance on the shipment to cover it incase of damage during transit. Freight Center sat on it for ten days before reaching out to me. Once they did that was all the help I received from Freight center. The insurance company they use Centerline Property and Casualty Insurance is a complete failure. They expect me and my client to wait up to 120 days before they give us an answer on the claim. The insurance company and Fright Center I have contacted no less than a dozen times via email and phone and they refuse to communicate. The short side to this story is please dont use Freight Center for your logistics. If your package makes it there it will cost you double because they will tell you it weighed more than it did and if it gets damaged you are out of luck if you expect them to help. Worst vendor I have ever chosen for logistics in 22 years.

I would most definitely AVOID these CROOKS. They quoted me a price to ship my items, accepted the load, took my payment, and then 45 days later WITHOUT NOTICE CHARGED MY ACCOUNT AN ADDITIONAL $1000 above what they originally said it would be. WITHOUT NOTICE !! Said my items weight was double what it actually was. BUT WAITED 45 DAYS TO MENTION IT. By this point everything had been unpacked and no way to reweigh the crates and dispute there claims.For all I know, they have everyone in the warehouse come stand on the scales ... IF they can actually provide a weight.AGAIN, READ THEIR REVIEWS. PURE CROOKS.

WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT SHIP WITH THIS CARRIER. THEY COST ME THOUSANDS IN FEES THAT COULD HAVE EASILY BEEN AVOIDED. THEY PROMISED ONE DAY PICKUP AND ONE DAY DELIVERY AND TOOK THEM TWO WHOLE WEEKS, MEANWHILE I WAS BEING CHARGED $100 PER DAY FOR STORAGE FEES. THEY ARE RUNNING A SCAM WITH THE PORT OF LOG ANGELES. AFTER TWO WEEKS OF NOT HAVING MY FREIGHT PICKED UP AND COSTING ME THOUSANDS, THEY SAID SORRY WELL JUST CANCEL IT AND YOU CAN FIGURE IT OUT. THEY WERE UNWILLING TO FIX THE PROBLEM THEY CREATED AND NOW I HAVE TO PAY OUT OF POCKET WHEN I DO NOT HAVE A JOB DUE TO COVID 19 WHICH THEY DID NOT CARE ONE BIT. THEY AVOIDED MY PHONE CALLS LIKE THE PLAGUE. THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH AND I FEEL VERY SORRY FOR YOU IF YOU CHOOSE THEM. I AM SITTING HERE IN DIVESTMENT MODE TRYING TO PUT TOGETHER MONEY TO PAY THE THOUSANDS IN FEES THEY HAVE COST ME.

Can I give negative rating here? They have NO idea when residential freight will get picked up. I was given 2 days for the pick-up but there is NO truck in sight even on the 3rd day. I was very clear that I am moving out and need the frieght to be picked up. But on the last day they came up with excuses like pallets gets picked up faster or easier option is to drop off at a terminal. Then I would have chosen some other sevices which is clear abt these constraints since day 1.Please if you are reading this RUN! AVOID! CLOSE THIS TAB...NOT WORTH IT.

The best customer service experience I have had in a long time! No waiting on hold, you reach people directly through their extensions. Abe and Keith were top knotch. They were attentive but not pushy and went above and beyond to make sure I got a great deal, plus they kept trrack of my shipment through one of the worst storms that shut the midwest down. Will definitely use them again and recommend friends too!!

AVOID THIS COMPANY AND ANYONE SIMILAR. They will tell you they are familiar with your goods, and tell you they can help point you in the right direction. They will take your credit card number and put it on file, then attempt charges over and over again after and agreed price. We’re not talking a few bucks, these CLOWNS are attempting to charge us several hundreds of dollars PER SHIPMENT over the quoted amount. We have all the proof we need, come visit our shop and we can build the pallets with the same product on it and we can all weight it together....Anytime!

Mark and I do not have adequate words to describe the phenomenal service provided by this Freight Center. We have shipped 25 pallets with 23 years of Marks tools (his precious toys - lol) from Key Largo to Missouri. The driver was absolutely great. Patient and professional. Joe Gillen was the most responsive person we have dealt with in a long time. Not only did our the pallets arrive in Missouri at a record time, they were intact. Joe kept us informed of the drivers trip timeline and locations throughout the delivery. Horrible service!!! Quoted me one price, I provided the exact weight and everything they asked of me. Delivered 6 days later than promised by the rep. Finally a month later I see another charge more than the initial quoted price on my charge card. This was done without my authorization. So, I call them to resolve the issue with pictures of the shipment, bill of landing all clearly showing the exact weight. They didn’t even pretend to care, they sent me a blurry pic that you weren’t even able to tell it was my shipment and said I was a 1000 pound over weight and this was there final decision. They are definitely not getting away with this!!! The Better Business Bureau will be informed of how they are scamming people!!!

I used Freight Center back in Dec to ship a strip down Pontiac 455 long block engine from TN to VA. The quote was done online for 560lbs and .85 weight factor. The online quotes came in and $189 using CTC Trucking was the lowest bid. I accepted the offer and set up an acct online and made the payment. The next day all of the documents and BOL came over email to put on the container and one copy provided to the truck driver. The delivery went thru ATL and on to VA and arrived on the 4th day. 2 weeks later I get an email alerting me $625 was taken out of my acct because someone wrote 2000 lbs on the BOL. I spoke with CTC about it with no assistance since they actually handled the shipment and then filed a complaint with Freight Center. 2 months later nothing has been addressed until I followed up yesterday. The Customer Service center then asked me to find reliable sources on the internet that references the weight of a Pontiac motor and they ll consider reimbursing me for the overcharge. I provided 3 sources which one was used for the quote and all are in the 550 to 700lb range. They could ve called any number of companies who rebuild engines in the US and got a actual weight to validate my estimate but wouldnt!!! Somehow Freight Center seems to think that the earth has magnified it s gravitational pull by 4X!!! BEWARE and use a prepaid debit card to protect yourself from ripoffs like this!!! It s not what you know but who stole your money after you proved in this case and wont do the right thing!!!

Wow I did not know that this company was so bad until I did business with them and then looked them on yelp. Every review in the last year is 1 star.....OUCH.So for me, they picked it up on time. They delivered it 2 days late. I told them my package was 200 lbs. They marked it for 220 which cost me an extra 15 but we wanted to be safe. Then we shipped it.A week after delivery I get an email from them saying that it was 295 lbs. There was no way this was true and they wanted an extra $140 for this. I did the math for them and told them it was under 200. They have been very rude, calling as early at 6am, and calling multiple times per day. I have sent them a lot of info to tell them it was less weight. Today they had added a $50 late fee and sent it to their collections even thought it has only been 20 days. The collection guy was even more rude than the normal people.Yesterday I went so far as to build the exact same pallet with the same exact items on it and weigh it and take photos. It was actually just 190 LBS. They have blocked me from their website, suspended my account, but the only way to dispute it is to give them a copy of the BOL but you cant get the BOL without logging into their site, which I cant do. I wish I would have saved it but I figured I could log in and get it whenever I needed it.On every level this company sucks. I did one right thing, I reported my credit card as stolen as soon as this all started so they could never charge it more. I am sure if I did not do that they would have hit it a few times by now.

Fright Center has always been responsive and follows up on their job extraordinarily well. We work with Sam there, and he know the trucking businesses better than anyone else we have worked with over the past 22 years. The prices are competitive and often times much better than the other guys. The drivers have been great too. We highly recommend these guys!

Terrible experience, sales person was a fast talker. Took the money, truck did not show up. Poor communication. My aunt waited until 3 pm Friday afternoon she had to call to find out that no one was coming. I do not recommend this company to anyone.

Scam. They will charge you a price up front but double charge you once its delivered. I have done atleast 4 shipments with them giving them more accurate info every time so they wouldnt hold anything against me later on. I even confirmed my dimensions weight and forklift needs were properly outlined. Then they manage to come up with some reason after delivery to charge more. Not happy at all. Welcoming customer service but just non-transparent pricing.

I am extremely dissatisfied. My shipment was lost in transit. When I first enquired I was told the shipper confirmed that my shipment was delivered. In fact it was lost. It has been 6 weeks and the only communication has been that it can take up to 120 says to find a lost shipment. I am losing faith that my shipment will be found intact.

Run from this company! Be prepared for recorded calls where they try to switch your selection to another carrier. Then, they tried to get another credit card number from me saying they didnt take the card that was fine on the website. Then, they switched my freight class in the process, with excuses that it didnt matter. Guess what, it does matter. I emailed, called and used the portal to cancel the haul. Even confirmed that the following Monday it was cancelled. They sent someone to get it anyway! No phone call to me, and since this is a big company my freight was given by mistake, since it was hauling out today anyway. Now I have to get it back, and no one has gotten back to me about who is going to foot the bill. Total failure, and double the price of uShip.

Smoother than I anticipated. Pick up was on time delivery in 5 days traveled 2600 miles arrived in perfect condition. Many complaints online are forgetting they are a broker not the shipper. My agent was courteous and helpful walked me through the best shipping options for my freight. This was a first time freight shipper for me and I was pleased at the end results.

This company will scam you! Read the Better Business Reviews before going through this company. We shipped 7 boxes, weighting 40lbs or less and was initially charged for 555lbs of goods. They never readjusted it to the correct weight, then a month later is now charging for 600lbs of additional weight that never existed! Read the reviews! They do it to everyone. If you leave a review...wait 60 days until picking up your shipment BEFORE you do...they will wait to charge you for additional fees which Im now having to hire an attorney to recoup. Absolutely ridiculous! Were going the class-action suit direction at this point to make an example of the company since no one else has, if youve been taken advantage of, please reach out to me directly to include you in the class action lawsuit. I dont Normally look at reviews, and when I first contacted the Freight Center I just needed something picked up and delivered, Every part of my first experience was OK I would say, So used the Company a few more times and No complaints, I made the Mistake of waiting until the last day to call them and ask about a delivery I needed, when I say last minute I mean I put the info in the system at 1 am in morning and needed the shipment picked up between 10 am and 1 pm and Dan Winkle made it happen . This place is an absolute fraud, do your research, check ripoff report, YouTube, reviews, this place will rip you off faster than you can imagine. They quote cheap then a month later tack you with another bill and have a fake collections agent call and threaten lawsuits if you don’t pay, when the fake collections is just another office under the same umbrella. They subcontracted the cargo to roadrunner which is the worst cargo company ever, they lost my shipment on last May and till now the did not reimbursed me. They have the worst customer service and claim department. Simply, they dont care! I dont recommend dealing with them.The did not support me at all, just took my money and through me under the bus. If I could give a zero star I would!!! I scheduled a pick up time due to weather!! I am in Seattle so it is raining for 2 weeks straight. Had 1 day of sunshine to assemble my crate, with expensive dental equipment inside. they called after it was scheduled to be picked up and said that they couldn’t pick it up! The customer service person was really nice and should be working for a different company!!!

This is a small privately owned company that charges customers LARGE sums of money for small fees they acquire. DO YOUR HOMEWORK AND proper research and shop around and get reasonable pricing and price guarantee. This company isnt even the carrier they have a third party which causes even more of a mess and gives them an excuse to try to rectify why they are over charging you. They will try to combat this by saying they are justified but if you do your research you will see they arent. There are plenty of other companies that are reputable and wont charge you for fees they arent even paid for as a company AFTER your products have already been shipped. They should be ashamed and embarrassed. STAY AWAY and choose another company!!!

During transit, they bent the ends that hold a roller of a conveyor belt.Its very disappointing the way they manipulate things. they are saying the machine is only liable 0.10 per pound, at 650 pounds total they would only cover it for $65 max. and they offer 1/3 of total liability. which is $21.6 and claims of less than $35 are not granted.... My loss... the cost to fix my machine is over $450 I havent been able to work the machine because the parts are very difficult to find. and expensive. so I paid the insurance per your advice and now no one will respond. the machine was working when shipped.That insurance you offer is a SCAMI will think it twice before using this company again..

My company used Freight Center back in March to ship containers the held our trade show booth. We estimated our weight too low and only prepaid a portion of the actual weight. We were unaware that our estimate was off. It wasnt until 2 months later when we saw an outrageous charge on our company credit card that we found out about the error. There was ZERO communication from Freight Center that they would be charging an additional fee. A fee that was almost double the original charges. We will no longer use this company due to their GROSS lack of communication and their obnoxious right to charge a credit card without authorization or at the very least a heads up.

FreightCenter makes it so easy to ship my freight with no hassles. Truly one call does it all. I ship one to six pallets per month so I am not a high volume shipper. I used to call around to find the best rate and wasted a lot of time. Now I just make one call my agent at FreightCenter and within minutes I have a price and all the paperwork. It seems to be a convenient way to find a freight company and the process is actually smooth and easy. The rep (Chris W.) actually called me with a lower rate than I had found. He was very nice to work with. The only reason for my low star rating is because the freight company that was chosen was HORRIBLE! Stay away from Central Transport (see my review of them for more info). There is no recourse against the freight companies used when there is a problem (of which I found out is common with Central Transport). My thoughts are if you have a contractual relationship with someone, you should have some type of recourse or discontinue using them. Their service reflects on your reputation.The contract states delivery time is not guaranteed, but when you’re told 3 days and 2 weeks later it still hasn’t reached the destination there’s a problem. I will probably try them again to give them the benefit of the doubt but I will be sure to put conditions in place which I have a feeling won’t be an option in which case I may go direct with companies I have had positive experiences with.***This is an update to my review. Stay away from FreightCenter too. They lost one of the shipments that was picked up and refused to respond to me or even their own staff member (my sales rep) after repeated inquiries. I had to file a civil suit against them for recourse. When I threatened to file, rather than try to resolve their mistake they locked me out of my account/cancelled it. Not that it mattered since I would never use them again. I did get a judgment against them. Case closed!

We shipped some furniture we had purchased abroad, our international shipper did not arrange for domestic trucking and left our items at the port. I called a number of other shippers but no one could help me navigate the system. Freight Center did an amazing job coordinating between the warehouse and the trucker to make the whole experience go smoothly. Bill Baratta was amazing! I would absolutely recommend them!!

BEWARE!!!! All the 5 star reviews are PHONEY!!!! FAKE!!!! FRAUD!!!!. My fault i did not see the legit bad reviews sooner. They quoted and agreed on a price. Once they get your credit card information they dont even send you a receipt or invoice. They charged me extra shipping and handling charges for double the amount of the original quote because my measurements of the package size was off by 1 inch they said. The weight was accurate. Its in dispute with my credit card company. Freight Center and all their employees and representatives are totally unresponsive after many repeated attempts and give you the run around.

I called FreightCenter for a shipping quote and found they were way better than any other company. I love that FreightCenter is open on the weekends…. My only issue is that if you book a shipment on the weekend you have to wait until monday before it gets picked up.

We use FreightCenter for all of our LTL shipments, and our agent, John Rogers, is always very helpful. I often have a lot of questions and/or last minute requests, and John makes sure everything goes smoothly and the trucks are here on time. FreightCenter (and John!) has made shipping so much easier, and I wont even consider going anywhere else!

Keep far, far away from this company. Heres my story: I needed to ship an exercise bike from MD to CA. The rep from this company quoted me a price, and 8 days. Two days later, the driver was supposed to be at our house at 4:00 pm. At 1:00, he calls my wife, saying hes on our driveway, and no one is home. My wife leaves work, but by the time she gets home, he had left. The FC rep couldnt reach him to reschedule...that day or any other. (We live in a large, metro area, not way out). Everyday she promised me tomorrow someone will come. She couldnt get me a pick-up for 10 days, as I waited. And waited. She told me her supervisor was going to call me and apologize. Never happened. Finally picked up and delivered over a month after promised date. I was polite and patient the whole time. I called the rep and asked, politely again, for a partial refund for all of my aggravation and their ineptitude. She said her supervisor would call me with arrangements. Again, nothing but crickets. This is their version of customer service, and how they deal with their deliverance of terrible work. They dont care. And neither should you, when looking for shipping, should you care about this guys.

WARNING: THIS COMPANY IS A MESS.Everything went great, or so we thought, until we got a bill for nearly $600, a week after we had already received our shipment. One of their representatives gave me an incorrect quote by over half in which he estimated the weight of my shipment. I later come to find out he shouldnt have quoted the weight in the first place. After waiting over a week to hear back from customer service, I got an apology, saying that they had reversed half of the charge and would work to return the second half.Another week passes with no response. I call again and again. No one knows whats going on and I have to explain the situation again. Now Im told that I an responsible for the second half, in spite of the previous customer service agent acknowledging that it was their fault.So I explain this to my credit card agency. They say this is a common bait and switch and they are happy to remove the charge. I then call FreightCenter and talk to a manager. They apologize, say that customer retention will be calling me and that they acknowledge the removal of the charge. Of course this never happens.And today I get an email from them demanding the remaining charge with interest.This company is a complete sham. I have been lied to over and over. I have been told the issue will be resolved over and over, only to receive a threat to go to collections. I cannot express the frustration and disappointment I have experience from FreightCenters customer service team.

I used Freight Center to help me find the right solution to ship a porch swing. Originally I was attempting to ship it assembled, but Stephen Ingram, the FreightCenter person who assisted me, suggested I try to knock it down and box it as it would save money as well as increasing the chances of it arriving safely.I did as he suggested, and I was also able to drop it off at the Pilot Shipping center at DFW, both saved me money. Stephen was with me every step of the way, and the item has now arrived in Boston and is scheduled to arrive at its destination next Monday.I highly recommend FreightCenter as a source for finding the right and most economical shipping solution. Stephen communicated well and made the process simple. Kudos.

Freight Center coordinated moving a dresser from Chicago to Los Angeles. I paid extra to have it packaged by a professional and I paid for insurance. The dresser arrived destroyed. Freight Center required proof of value of item. Since the item was an antique I did not have a bill of sale and they did not want to pay for an appraisel. I am still waiting to get the money for the insurance and in the mean time the dresser is destroyed. They are difficult to work with and you cant get anyone on the phone. They are very helpful when you are talking to their sales team, but when there is a problem they are no where to be found. NEVER USE FREIGHT CENTER!!! I regret using them and I wish I could do it over. BEWARE!

They are very good at selling a service. The drivers are super friendly and patient...BUT... They missed thier delivery date by 4 days THEN billed extra because the freight needed to be relcassed on the return trip even though BECAUSE OF THIER MISSED DELIVERY then freight was never opened and therefore could not have changed weight or size.If you know your exact weights and dims and dont need to hit a deadline, then they are great. Otherwise... work direct with carriers if you can.

Better off contacting the trucking company directly and dealing with them. These guys costed me thousands of dollars and about three weeks to get a shipment 125 miles. The shipment traveled over 5000+ miles before we stepped in and did it ourselves. Not cool.

Liers and unprofessional.These people lie to me that they gonna pick my box severals days and during booking I told them we have ship to catch they never show up and anything I called they told me ups is on the way to pick it.later on they lie to me they have pick it up but update is not ready in the system.
