My family and I have been fishing with Captain Brian for 6 years now and usually a couple times a year. Our trip every June is the one I look forward to all year long. I can always count on Capt. Brian to position us over monster Tarpon and world class Snook in June. I can equally count on him to put us on big reds in the fall. It is always a blast whether I have my two young sons and wife on the boat for fun fishing with constantly bent rods, or just the guys chasing monsters. Capt. Brian is a world class captain who strives daily to master his craft and deliver for his clients. I highly recommend giving him a call but not during any of my booked dates :).

Couldn’t have asked for a better trip. Captain Brian put us on some red snapper and Spanish mackerel for some good eats. After that, we spent some time hooking into some red fish to finish the day. We will be back again. Thanks again Captain Brian.

I highly recommend Brian, my son and I went today and caught a lot of quality fish. I have tried numerous guides all around for trophy reds and snook and Brian kept us in them. I can’t say enough. He explained and worked with my son the whole trip and took time to teach him methods and the whys of how we fished. Excellent.

Me and my wife went fishing with Captain Brian about a month ago, first time fishing inshore in Florida and it was everything we hoped it would be, We caught lots of Snook, trout, Red’s and a jack. He knew exactly where to go and how to get them to bite. Very professional and a all around good guy to talk to. Couldn’t recommend more for Anybody even considering it.

Great experience with Captain Brian and Clearwater Inshore Fishing Charters! They set us up for a big group and kept us on fish the whole time, from the youngest to the oldest we all enjoyed the day!

OVER 100 Fish caught on January 31, 2020!! Starting with the first cast and only seconds in the water… Boom Sea Trout on!Family reunion time in Clearwater Florida! My brother and his family are in town from Rhode Island and my brother-in-law & his family are in town from Oregon. The weather has been all over the place leading up to this day And only 60° the day before. We are counting on catching some fish. Brian was referred to us by Jeff Smith and he Over Delivered on a Fun 1/2 day of Fishing!! We Caught Sea Trout(many over 20”, Sheepshead and a Red Fish!! Honestly the best fishing day I ever had.

Called Capt. Mathey last minute and he was able to squeezed me into his schedule for a great day of fishing. we were on fish shortly after leaving the dock and the action never stopped. Did not think I would catch so many different types of fish on a single trip, even hooked into some nice trophy size fish. Will be calling Capt. Mathey next time Im in the Tampa area to fish.

Captain Mathey was a great guide! Moved us around until he put us on the fish! Had a nice setup as well. Kept it honest with us about the fishing qualitiy due to the cold weather and still put us on the fish! Caught redfish, ladyfish, saltwater trout, and some big snook on our trip. Defiantly worth giving this guy a shout out for a day on the water!
