I have been dealing with Colfax for 40 years . I drive from Mt Prospect to Palatine to get my car serviced . Over the years My kids and I have just about everything fixed on a car that could possibly be fixed and have never had an issue. Six months ago I took my wife’s car to the dealer and while they were doing the recall work the agent told me the car needed a new battery and brakes that could be taken care of that day for $700. I took the car to Colfax and told him what they said and when the car was checked out it only needed a battery. I took my car there recently for an oil change and whatever other maintenance the car needed. When I picked the car up I was told that the maintenance schedule called for changing the cabin filters but when he looked at them they were clean so he didn’t change them. I don’t think that would happen at a dealer. We all dread when something goes wrong in our cars but it really helps when you have a mechanic you can totally trust.
