Weve had suddenlink for a long time but in the recent years its turned worse. Calling is a joke, theres no local store, and prices keep going up. When you do call and FINALLY reach a person, they barely speak English and dont understand anything about the services they represent. I will add the internet is super fast but only when its working. Like today, my only day off after a long week and its down again! The customer service is miserably bad so theres no point calling.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Worst customer service ever. When my account was active, I could never get access to look at the account online because the person on the other end of the phone was incapable of understanding simple English. That was the first issue, so instead of setting up my account online to pay my bill, I did it over the phone.Second issue: A freak tornado took out my house and I called to cancel my service a month ago. I get a text message 25 days after canceling telling me that the bill is due for the month. I again call customer service and again there is a language barrier. Apparently they cannot look up my account without the number on the back of the modem, which the last person told me to leave in the rubble and not worry about returning it because it was buried in the storm damage. Luckily I put the modem in storage and now have to dig it out so they can access my account. Unbelievable!!! Its sad that if you want cable internet for High Speed service, Suddenlink is the only option in the area. Looks like I have to pay the $94 or they will damage my credit with collections. I guess I can live in my car for another month...
Suddenlink has terrible service. When I signed up for direct payment, they suspended my account for non payment, them charged me extra for reconnecting my service. I highly recommend that people do not consider doing business with this shady company! I cannot even stream any channels because their service isnt up to standards!!!
The service is down almost everyday. I got tired of calling and speaking with customer service who don’t speak English so very difficult to convert your issues. Then they always want you to unplug your modem even though that is the first thing I always do when having an issue. Very frustrating having to speak with someone in India so it takes 3 times as long to have a problem resolved. Now trying to cancel I’m on the phone for over 30 minutes with a nasty lady who is arguing with me. Also she wants to know what I pay them for the service??? What??? She’s looking at my account and she can’t tell what I’m paying them? Just another example of their total incompetence!!! Avoid them at all cost! Service is twice as expensive as our new service. I would give them no stars but you have to give them at least one. They haven’t earned it at all!
You closed the store in Pahrump, NV, but your web pages keep directing to the closed. Where do we go, cant find any stores in the whole state ! My internet service was going off and on the first week of September. A short time later my internet went completely off. I get a email to go online and pay my bill. I have no internet !!! I called different numbers to pay my bill the automatic payment system wanted to use a card that my bank had to cancel. Automatic system wouldnt let me change me card number ! On September 13 I found a payment service, Doxo. Made a $ 230.00 payment and 2 days later my bank posted the transaction. Still no internet service ! September 16, I get email to pay my bill. Payment system still wants to use old card number. Tried my local closed office and was directed to a 844.874.755. After punching several prompts to provide my information. I was told to call back during normal business hours ! Not a great plan to keep customers. If I can do everything on my phone why do I need your internet ?
Horrible connection speeds. Can’t watch a show without buffering. Have had service guy out a few times and nothing changes. Daily connection issues and empty promises of credits. The bill is twice what they told me it would be and for internet that’s comparable to dial up.
Suddenlink has cheated me again. When I signed up by phone I was promised by the phone rep that I would be getting a gift card as a bonus and when the service tech arrived at my home he too said I would get a gift card. After a couple of months I inquired about it and was told not enough time had passed for me to receive it. Later I called again about the card and a rep told me he would check into this and respond in 2-3 days, well after 3 weeks there was no response so I called again and was told no gift card for you so I asked why and the answer was vague, vague, vague. Suddenlink is still Suddenstink, the worst(by far)business Ive ever had the misfortune to encounter. With Suddenstink get everything in writing and dont sign up until you have documentation for dont EVER rely on their word for its worthless. A very dishonest company for sure.
This is absolutely the worst service I have ever been provided in my entire life. I cannot play games due to how high my ping can get, at times my ping can vary from 1000-5000 and rarely has good days. I dont understand what Im doing wrong. The price is too high for something that provides almost nothing. I do not recommend, and honestly you would be better off burning your money due to how useless these people are.
We changed, DON’T, in 2 months 2 major shutdowns up to 15 hrs!! NO SERVICE. No warning, No explanations, No human contact, No recourse.When it’s operable its good. Communications wholly substandard for business... below sub-par!!Anthony the service tech was terrific!BUYER BEWARE, SUDDEN UNLINKS.
They were on time reliable did what they said they were going to do. Im withholding a star due to the install issue. They had to run a line from the pole through my property to my home majority of this line was buried and by Barrett I mean place on the ground and dirt girl on top basically very poor job dont be seen often not a big deal what could have been done better other than that no problem SO FAR.
For the most part I rarely had issues. Problem was when they decided that I should pay them a full months rate for only 5 days of service on the day of our move. I called for a partial refund and they said they would call me back in 1 or 2 days. Its been a whole week, and still nothing.
Poor customer service. I had to call several times because we kept getting “disconnected.” It took forever to get a person on the phone and then everyone tells you something different in terms of installation fees, costs, etc. They are terrible to work with but there are limited cable options in the area.
This is the worst internet service Ive ever had, it keeps cutting off in the middle of programming although claiming to be connected.. I havent had this internet 2 months yet and I see myself switching companies in the middle of the game just as my connection has!

IMO, Good service when it was open. Building, as of Oct 1 2020, is gone. Lot is all dirt.Property is fenced and the for sale sign is now gone. Doubt SL will come back to Pahrump. Another one bites the dust.
When the internet is working it works. But lately there has been outages literally weekly. That must be upsetting for people who work remotely or have online school. Getting customer service who know what they are doing is a gamble. I have to call like 5 times to finally get someone who knows how to actually do their job. The website and app say a different amount due on your bill than calling. They say that we qualify for a special price package so then we apply for this special service then to later find out that there was no such thing and they charged me more than what the special was supposed to be. Internet goes out in the middle of the night and then we call the next day and they say its because its cold outside I dont know how that makes sense when nights in Nevada are 80°, 70°. Randomly my account was in a holiday hold or vacation hold I dont remember what it was called, but that cut off my internet. all that happened this year and Ive been with this company for almost 5 years. So basically its been a weird experience with this internet company.
Please expand more in 89048 i know a lot of people in my street who want the company as Pahrump does not have good WIFI options also any number or email i can send a message were willing to pay so we can get our own line to our home we are really close to service area but not close enough contact me at [email protected]
Customer service is terrible, the service guy shows up and insults my mother and I, telling us he will not come back if we have the same issue. He wasnt wearing a mask in our house, and he has the audacity to be rude as well. This is how you do business sudden link? Your company doesnt even have a store anymore what kind of business doesnt have atleast one store in the town they are doing business in? Your services are lousy, always going down. What is needed is more competition so as to make you more competitive for the Pahrump communitys business, you seem to think it is not necessary to provide decent service. False advertisement is the only thing that comes to mind with them. Picked 400 unlimited for life for $54.99. Lady told me at most $58.15 a month which is fine but in 3 months my bill has been all over the place. Now its $70. Shady place for sure. Speed is decent compared to other options here but prices may vary monthly. Customer service is no help either
Hello Im trying get sudden links service installed on my home i live really close to the service area sent a serviceability request waited 6-8 weeks for a response still havent who can i contact to get this address serviced.

I live in Pahrump NV, when I first moved here in 08 the cable co. was called CMA great co. and customer service they went the extra mile, since your co. bought it all I get is fee increases and I don know to questions. Your better off with kiosks like VEA, they take your payment and you know what to expect with a question. Sad but true🙈🙉🙊
One star for cable tv. Had installed three days ago and the first night it froze and pixilated quite a bit. The next day it was ok. Then on Friday whenever I tried to change channels it said the channels were available and to wait a few minutes...noting happened.Called and after being on the phone for over 20 min mostly on hold someone else answered and I had to tell them the whole story again then was put on hold again and then disconnected.Finally worked.Saturday it did it again. Call and they do the same thing.First appointment is on Friday...totally unacceptable. Now all I have is purple, green, black and white snow. I will take the box in first thing Monday and if that doesnt fix it I may just plug in my dish satellite I use in the RV.
I am so happy I switched to suddenlink. The Tech Lonnie was great, he explained all about internet and phone to me. I got the 400 service and it is fantastic, no buffering or problems. I also had landline installed. I believe all the problems I was having with other provider SUDDENLINK has taken care of.Thanks so much Lonnie.Candyce Nestor
Internet goes out often, working from home is crazy because of the net going out A LOT!
Tried to get service and they botched the installation so badly we had to wait 2 days past our appointment and were asked to make another call to get Internet. We cancelled. Don’t even bother with them.

WORST SERVICE EVER. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS USELESS ON THE PHONE AND IN PERSON. IF THEY ADMIT MISTAKES THEY DONT TRY TO FIX IT JUST SAY YOU STILL HAVE TO PAY IT (DOUBLE CHARGING) UNRELIABLE INTERNET. CONFLICTING INFO WHEN I CALL IN. BLAME SYSTEM GLITCHES. TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION ALL AROUND. LITERALLY NEVER HAD THIS MANY ISSUES WITH ANYTHING BEFORE.... I NEVER LEAVE REVIEWS BUT I FELT THIS WAS NEEDED TO BE SAID. OH AND THE WAIT TIMES TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE ARE OVER AN HR LONG (I HAVE BEEN HUNG UP ON BY THE AUTOMATED SYSTEM AFTER 1 1/2 HRS ON HOLD!)
Why am I still on hold? 1hr 19mins for someone to pickup the phone in tech support. Suddenlink management, are you aware for the horrible internet and customer service your company is providing? You hide behind your front-line employees or outsourced tech support, all the while the customer does their part and pays the HIGH monthly fees for your sub-par speeds and service. The internet service drops continuously and your team is unable to find the solution. I call, they reset the modem - no help. The tech dispatches and works the issue - no help. I go to the Suddenlink office and they say call Customer retention - no help. HEY MANAGEMENT, WHY WONT YOU SUPPORT AND EMPOWER YOUR FRONT-LINE TEAM AND STOP HIDING BEHIND THEM. Ive been a customer for over 8 years and this is the worst service I have ever experienced.
Subpar internet that just increased rates. What did they do to justify a rate increase. Service was not improved, taxes and fees did not increase. WTF just fleecing us out of more money for no reason. Bye Bye Suddenlink.
Internet is down AGAIN. Fix your stuff! Rates just went up AGAIN, 20 percent his time, and yet you cant provide reliable service! I have never had such sporadic internet connectivity with any other company.
Opened a new account on line waiting for them to install equipment called and informed me that they do not have service in my area bogus I happen to know that they do have service in pahrump so minus 5 stars

Maybe buy your own internet wifi router cause otherwise full loss of connectivity happens far to frequently and often seems not to have an actual source in the router but upon diagnosis falls at the feet of the service provider... but thats just what windows network and sharing center diagnostics says, not my opinion. Also at a 60mbps price Im not impressed even for country folk type internet service.
