The post office and the carriers in Owensboro Kentucky are the best in the world! I hope the United States postal service can survive what happened to them during the last presidency and even now under the director that they have in Washington. I certainly wish she would resign or that there was a way to send him on his way so that we could get someone in there that knew what they were doing, cared for our postal service and cared for the people waiting for and receiving their mail.

Our USPS has sucked for 2 weeks. Wont pick up outgoing mail, even when we have a barcode for the start of the route! Husband has to chase them down and hand it to them! Took 3 days to get mail into their hand!

Constantly delivering my mail to the wrong address or losing it altogether. There is an east and west address that is the same number. They dont know their east from their west. USPS used to have good responsible people who were smart and alert---not anymore.

Bless these public servants for the job they do. How they do it without going crazy baffles me. When you look at some of these comments on here, its hard to imagine how any sane person could do their job and put up with these people. Theyre a public service, who serve us all. And unlike the military, fire department, or police, all you hear are complaints about how they need to make money. We dont expect other government services to make profit, so why the post office is expected to is beyond reason. Oh wait, the lobbyists and corporate bigwigs only worried about increasing their bottom line, so they try to disparage the name of these servants all in their ultimate hopes and dreams of privatising this service so their clients at places like FedEx and UPS can pad their bottom line, which does nothing to help the rest of us.

No communication whatsoever. UPS was supposed to transfer a package to them for delivery. 10 days later with no updates and they refuse to so much as give me an update or look into the situation. “We’ll get it when we get it” says the lady at counter. Super annoying.

I had a package go missing which was showing to be at this usps location. It was special food for my dog which was showing having been there for 4 days. After the delivery supervisor and desk clerk rudely tried to tell me they had never had this package, i went home to investigate further and found it was a usps issue that the mail delivery person was not marking the packages delivered and not delivering them to the correct house even with a functional correct address and bar code. They leave their phone off the hook so you can’t call in with mail issues. So I drove back up there to make them aware of the situation to which a supervisor named Gerta screamed in my face, slammed her hands on the counter and walked off as if she didn’t care whether the citizens of this lovely city got their mail. This is extremely alarming, I would not use this location for any packages you care about.

Staff has always been helpful to me. It would be nice if someone answered the phone so that you don’t have to drive all the way to the post office to ask a question.

I have moved multiple times and know they are able to set up a forwarding address for your mail until the address change goes into effect which takes 7-10 days. I drove 45 minutes after an exceptionally long day to have this done and the woman just gave me the address change form instead and wouldnt have it forwarded. She told me to fill it out and put it in any mailbox. Due to this, I run the huge risk of missing my first check from my employer. Ridiculous. Its near christmas and you would think they would be more understanding or willing to help.

Been waiting 3 weeks for my package, it keeps telling its gonna be here at a certain time, i wait outside for an hour & 30 minutes after its supposed to be here they reschedule it again, i finally went to the post office to go pick it up, they said just cause my ID isn’t updated (haven’t had the money to update it since i moved here) that i cant get it, i even told them the address of the place its supposed to go to, showed the tracking number & now im required to pay some fee??

The USPS spends no telling how much money trying to get the public to use their parcel service instead of UPS or Fed Ex but when we try to ship by it the carrier tells us his vehicle is too full (his supervisor says it isnt) to pick up my package(s). He then calls the office to arrange pickup which over 75% of the time NEVER happens. Service like this would put a private company out of business.

Fast service at the mail counter.I’ve had 4 passports done on separate occasions here for myself and my kids.The workers were all knowledgeable, respectful, and efficient with the process. I was pleasantly surprised at how quick and easy the process went. Also the other workers were professional and polite towards other USPS customers that came in while we were there.

I live on Wyandotte Ave. and if we don’t have mail to be dropped off the postal worker doesn’t pick up mail we have out to be delivered. I had very important mail that needed to be sent out ASAP and it set out by my mailbox in plain view for 2 days before I had to take it to a blue mail box so it would get picked up. Also, there are 4 or 5 different mailmen/ladies that deliver to our neighborhood and they come at any hour of the day. Sometimes they show up around 10 or 11 a.m., sometimes around 2, 4 and even around 6 p.m. There’s ZERO consistency. Very displeased with our mail service.

There have been multiple times when mail I know I was supposed to receive (THANKS to the delivery digest) was put in someone else’s mailbox and later got returned to me, however the most recent time was different. I saw from the email from delivery digest that I was supposed to be receiving my forms from my previous workplace so I could fill them out and continue my healthcare with them until I am able to get healthcare with my new job. I only have a few set amount of days I’m able to do this, and they didn’t even deliver it; at least not to the correct mailbox. And the worst part is you can’t even call this post office directly to bring it to their attention or make a complaint about the person set to your route. I’m furious and something needs to be done about this.

IF YOU WANT YOUR PARCEL LOST JUST MAIL IT THRU USPS. MAILED 2 PARCELS AND LOST IN CHICAGO. NOBODY KNOWS WHERE IT IS. MAILED OUT A CHRISTMAS PRESENT AND WHAT ARRIVED IN THE BOX WASNT WHAT I SHIPPED. THEY GOT SOMEBODIES TAX SOFTWARE INSTEAD OF THE GIFT. THINK I WILL USE FED EX NEXT TIME. SOME USPS EMPLOYEES DONT CARE ENOUGH ABOUT THEIR JOB.

Your weekend driver did not deliver my package so today, instead on an update I got it said there was no access to the destination. Highway 60 does not count as access to my driveway? Only gave 2 stars instead of 1 because normal mail delivery woman is great.

Our mail is delivered all over the place, and we get everyones mail too on our street. Happens all over the city....worse service ever. This Bon Harbor Owensboro Kentucky post office constantly disappoints. I’ve had nothing but trouble from them ever since I have lived in Owensboro, these past 13 years. Lately my mail, if it comes at all it comes anywhere between 5 o’clock in the evening 6 o’clock in the evening maybe or even later. I have an oversized mailbox because I watched the mailman run over my last mailbox in the snow and ice last year which the post office refused to replace because I couldn’t prove it was him. And even with my oversized mailbox they still manage to find a way to cram my mail so that it’s always bent and torn when it would have fit perfectly. We need to privatize mail service because I believe the people that pick up our garbage are more dependable and would do a better job.

I mailed a package from the post office in Franeys on Hwy 54 and received a tracking number. 6 days later my tracking still says acceptance. The lady at Franeys was nice and looked for the package and advised me to go to the Bon Harbor location to inquire. I went to Bon Harbor and told the guy working what happened. He told me its your fault the package was lost because you didnt bring it to the main location to mail it. Unacceptable. And they NEVER answer the phone .

Worthless! This is the 7th package lost today in less than one year. I hate USPS they never put mail you want or expect in your mail box. Nope is a gamble with this place. Ups or Fedex if you want to get your packages. No wonder they have a 1.9 star rating. To bad you cant do like a 1/4 of a star or zero!

If you ever want your packages to arrive, go through UPS or Fedex. These people take every oppritunity to give you a sorry we missed you slip. Need books on a certain day before classes start? Sorry we missed you Need crucial medical supplies? Sorry we missed youAlso NEVER give them something to ship as they will charge you out the a$$ to do it.

If i could give this post office zero stars i would. It is an atrocious and pathetic excuse for a post office. We opened a box here since my husband works out of town and have had nothing but trouble. You can never reach anyone by phone and on the one in a six billion chance you do they are some of the most rude and unhelpful people in the world.
