Ive been cutting my own hair for 18 years. With five kids and a job that pays enough I should have starting paying for hair cuts five years ago, I finally decided it wasnt worth the hassle and mess in my own bathroom any more.I went in and waited for 1.5 men in front of me -- roughly 15 minutes. She asked what I wanted, I told her, and she did it. 10 minutes maybe? She was polite and conversational, but not chatty. When I stopped talking, she stopped talking, and thats how I like it. She seemed at ease with some of the men who came in while I was there, who have obviously been long-time customers.The shop is tiny--two barber stools about six waiting chairs, and a small bathroom--but it is sufficient. Its 86º and humid outside, but the a/c was keeping the shop very cool. Old signs and decor give a little taste of the history behind the place opened by her father more than 4 decades ago. He has now passed on, but she continues the tradition of which she has been a part at that same shop for 18 years.
