Coming from the north it is always been difficult for me to find the right nail person. Wendy Is by far the best in Oviedo. Sculpts them perfect and is awesome at hand designs. Highly recommend her!

The atmosphere is relaxing even though they are busy. I get a gel pedicure and ask for Tiffany each time. She does excellent work and takes her time even if it takes a little longer.One thing she does that I like is completing my nails first and then the massage, wax and hot towel. This means my nails are completely cured by the time I leave so I can wear any shoes out. I am not sure what the difference is for regular polish.Depending on how much you spend will depend on what type of drink you can get. I see many people who are regulars. If you go, make an appointment. You will not be able to walk in because us regulars made an appointment. If you get a pedicure I recommend Mojito and ask for Tiffany!

I went with my daughter for nails and we enjoyed our first experience here so much. My Nail technician Jesse was exceptional. Sweet, kind, courteous and payed amazing attention to detail. My daughters tech Ivy did the most beautiful set of acrylics that I’ve ever seen. Multicolor w/art work on each mail. Peter the front desk manager provided exceptional customer service throughout our visit. We will absolutely return again. Thank you. Ambiance so relaxing and concierge service for drinks. Theresa was very very very helpful. She helped me pick out colors that looked accurate to those from a picture I liked. She was very kind and made sure I liked how my nails looked throughout the process. It was a simple yet intricate design but she did an amazing job!

This place has such a luxurious feel with the interior being so lavish, however I went on 08.23.21 and it was okay, my nail tech asked if I wanted my eyebrows done and commented on how long they are, which didnt sit well with me but I think she may have just trying to sell more services. Otherwise, my nail tech was fine.I got a Straight Up Manicure and a Relax & Unwind Pedicure, my pedicure was okay, not sure if it was worth it but it was okay. I dont think I would do it again, it was very difficult for me to relax.My manicure has to be the most disappointing part of the experience, while I understand that gel is the best no chip option, I believe that a regular manicure should last more than 2 days at least, my nails started chipping the very next day so I was pretty bummed.Overall, I feel like this place is expensive and I did feel a bit uncomfortable due to comment of my appearance.Photos of my nails 08.26.21

I went in asking for one of the best nail tech and I was connected with “Ciao”. She was sweet, happy, and a accommodating. She didn’t give me exactly what I was thinking but all her advice and suggestions were good. The length was longer and the color didn’t quite match the toe color but that wasn’t her fault. Ultimately I am happy with the service and will go back again.

I got a gel pedicure with Lam. He was wonderful!!!! Amazing massage, perfect detailing on the paint and wonderful customer service!!! Phenomenal job and beautiful atmosphere! Will be back:)!

This is the BEST nail salon my mom and I have been to in the past 10 years of nail salons in Winter Springs. Amazing customer service, fantastic ambiance, amazing leg massages. There were several people there, but it was so quiet and the music playing was so peaceful. Nail Specialists Cherry and Moon were by far amazing and had such great detail for our pedicures. Would recommend to anyone, especially if looking for a reasonably priced all-encompassing relaxing experience!!

I called and managed to get an appointment within an hour and a half. I had Sunny do my nails (full set, tips, acrylic and gel) and a pedicure with gel. But you should have seen how bad my nails Were! I had bitten them down to nothing, and one of my nails had such a deep abnormal ridge that I wasnt sure hed be able to get a tip on. But he did! I cant believe the difference. He did a very nice job and was also friendly. Ill ask for him again.

This was the first time I went to Velvet Nail Bar in Oviedo and I can tell you it was amazing! I left there feeling so relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed the experience! I live in the Avalon Park area but will definitely drive to Oviedo for all of my pedicures! I plan on scheduling a facial too!!

I went to Velvet nail bar because my regular salon was closed, and I read many excellent reviews. Unfortunately, when I went in, it was very loud and crowded. I showed my technician a design, and when finished, my nails did not look anything like they design. They were still cute, but not accurate to the design. I paid about $20 more than I pay at my regular place. The thing that bothered me the most is that two nails broke the day after I had gotten my nails done.All that being said, the actual building was very clean, and the people were very nice. I just didn’t feel that the quality of service I received for the price I paid was worth it.

I enjoy the ambiance everytime I visit. Today was no exception, and the gentleman who worked with me today was top notch. I appreciate a place that has consistent quality. Thats why I always come back.

I went here when I first came to Oviedo last year. They were ok. Buy not enough for me to keep going back. I noticed they are building a second location in Oviedo and thought, their work must have improved if they are doing so well to build another location a few blocks away. Wrong. Although they provide great customer service their work is shotty and Im never happy with the way my nails look. I try to correct but the techs are always so stubborn. Every time I have been, 4 times, theres always an unhappy or dissatisfied customer at the front counter. 😒 Ive given them 4 tries. Its safe to say they are not for me.

I was absolutely blown away by how attentive, detailed, and kind the staff was here. Not only did they have patience with me as I explored the colors for some time before deciding on my favorite French manicure color, they take excellent care of you while you are in their beautiful place. From the well decorated, incredibly clean facility, to the bar offering refreshments while you wait as well as during your services, it was worth every penny! And conveniently located was a huge plus too! Any of you looking for the wow factor to be included in those nail prices I highly suggest stopping in here and giving them a try! My tech was Lyon and I will go back to see him again!

I went there for an eyelash and eyebrow tint. The people there were very friendly and attentive, but the results were not worth the money. The lady that did them was super nice and kept making sure I was okay but my eyebrows had no change at all except 2 big dark vertical lines down the middle. She did everything right but it just doesn’t look good and I think the products are at fault. Same goes for the eyelashes. There was no change as well and it burnt my eyes. The most I can say is that she offered to fix them (which was nice) but I didn’t want to waste anymore time.

I got Halloween nails done and I could not be more happy with the designs Ivy did! Ivy was so sweet and has an amazing talent with design! I can’t wait to do more with Ivy!

The service was a 6/10. The lady was so rushed on doing my nails, my nails are so ugly and deformed. She was also a little bit rude . They are so thick. And on top of that they made me pay more than what the service was.never explained the prices to me .

Honestly I wish I could leave zero stars because they truly deserve it. I was SO specific that I wanted a gel polish French tip, pink and white manicure. I showed them a picture of the exact look I wanted (very thin painted white tip, clearly pink gel polish) I was even more specific that I definitely didnt want acrylic nails. The nail tech decided he apparently didnt care what I want. Went ahead and gave me super thick, standard acrylic French nails. Zero pink and white to be seen. I was livid and right on time so I just paid and left. After I checked their price list I realized that a standard acrylic French nail manicure should be $35 and I was charged $50 for the pink and white French that I didnt even get! Not only did I not even want acrylic (which is more expensive) but I didnt get pink and white in the end. When I called to try and discuss this with the store, the lady on the phone then tried to lie her way out of the situation by saying the $35 acrylic French manicure is actually just a standard nail polish service and any acrylic French at all is the pink and white.... that makes zero logical sense and isnt true at all, just their way of not correcting their errors.Ive honestly had a long list of issues with the quality of the service here but keep giving them another try, but maybe its time to give up on them. Stay FAR AWAY! Oviedo has so many other nail salons that do a way better job than this place!

I’m very “attention to detail” when ever I do my nail. I was in Orlando and had the same tech for 5 years. I moved to winter springs and that drive was too much for me until I found this place. Brandon takes care of me every time I go in to do my nails, he’s very thorough and pays attention to how I like my nails. I recently went in and needed my nails done ASAP and ended up sitting with Wendy, how she does nails is a little different from other people but I was pleased at the end result. This place is clean, professional and everyone greets you. They go around a couple of times asking if you’re okay, if you want something to drink etc. I would highly recommend. :)

I’m so sad, I don’t get to get my nails done very often being a stay at home mom but I wanted to treat myself and just 24 hours later 3 of my toe nails have come off :( I know I didn’t get gel but I have ALWAYS gotten regular pedicures and this has never happened this quickly EVER and the pedicure wasn’t cheap. I will not be going back to this place. The atmosphere was nice and the employees were nice but my nails are already destroyed a day later and I have no done any activities or even wore socks or shoes 😔

I went in for a pedicure with a gift card my mom got me for Mother’s Day, it was the first time in 6 months for me as I’m a single mom and I don’t get out much since my fiancé passed, so I was excited. It was very fast, my nails are so short, the polish job is not very good. The worst part is I went in about ten in the morning, and the lady asked if I wanted a drink. I said water at first, then decided what the heck this is like a vacation for me, so give me some white wine. There was a gentleman that worked there that kept walking by and talking to the tech and I obviously don’t know the language, and just staring at me, then at the wine. Like judging me. I felt so uncomfortable and couldn’t wait to leave. It made my experience so horrible, I’ll never go back.

I usually come here ALL the time. The front desk lady is VERYYYYY rude and I will not be back because of her. Everyone else is so sweet and good at what they do it just really sucks that the lady who doesn’t even really do nails ruins the look of the business. I will not be back VERY RUDE.

I have been going here for almost a year now and I have yet to have a bad experience. They follow CDC recommendations — hand sanitizer, mask enforcement, and temperature checks. I am always offered a drink — water, tea, soda, wine! My nails used to break and crack all the time, now I can go 3-4 weeks before needing a refill/upkeep. My nails are stronger and healthier than ever before. I have worked with many technicians and have never had a complaint. Special shout out to Taylor and Joyce for their diligence and good work. I highly recommend this place.

I moved to Oviedo in August and I tried 3 other places before I landed at velvet nail bar. All of their staff is wonderful but Eva is special. She is doing my nails and she gives the best massages/ pedicures and dip (sns) .I enjoy my time at their salon. Very friendly and priced right.UPDATE: I recently was able to try their new line Collagen Spa and it left me with a great and smooth feeling on the legs. It’s a wonderful product and organic as well. You even get a sample serum lotion to take home. I really enjoyed my treatment.

So, this was my first time ever coming to Velvet Nail Bar and I actually came here because a good friend of mine highly recommended this place. Said that they serviced them with love. Had to come and check it out for myself. I was a walk in and was assigned to Joyce. I had my AirPod in when she told me to pick a color and bring it with me, so I only took down the color name “blazing orange” and she went over to the table and looked at every color that kind of matched the description of the color I gave her until she found it. I felt so bad 😭 but the service she gave me was unmatched in comparison to any nail salon I’ve been to before. Complimentary drinks, pristine vibes and if you like a thorough pedi, this is the place. Definitely coming back to Velvet, faithfully.

This is the best local nail salon in the area! They do natural, gel, acrylics, dip, designsand more! The past two times I have been I have seen Adam, he did a great job on my acrylics and gave me the best manicure massage. Cindi also has done an amazing job on my nails as well!This salon is a very relaxing spot to get your nails done while having a drink.

I was in there tonight 3/1 - My nails turned out great, however, the nail tech used the cheese grader for my feet WITHOUT asking if I wanted it. My feet and heels are incredibly rough now and I’m very upset I wasn’t asked if that was something I wanted as my heels were smoother before I came in tonight. I’m very disappointed in Velvet - usually I have a good experience. Everyone seemed to be super busy and just caring about the $$$.

This was my fourth time getting DIP nails and every time is perfect! The nail technicians go above and beyond with creating nail art. Plus the salon has a peaceful atmosphere!

Went with my mom and my sister for pedicures (we did the Relax and Unwine package). Tammy is the one who did mine. It was super relaxing and she took her time with the pedicure and massage, making sure everything was an optimal temperature, and provided an overall very pleasant experience.

Asked for quite an intricate design and got me right in and had it done perfectly. Couldn’t be happier, and won’t be going anywhere else. Highly recommend!

I have not gotten my nails done in over a year due to working from home with COVID.. needed a visit before returning to the office this week and Velvet did not disappoint! Made a same day appointment and was treated like a VIP even though they were very busy. Lang did my pedicure and even though I got the basic package, he spent his TIME on the leg massage and made sure I was happy with water temp, color, etc. He did a great job. The free glass of champagne just makes even better. Eva did my nails, I did a SNS dip of ombré colors, she magnificently brought my idea to life!! I hate when the dip goes on too much and too thick and Eva made sure the dip was thin and natural just how I like it. She even drew a little palm tree design for me after talking about doing something fun and summery. She was an absolute pleasure and did an amazing job!! I have gone to so many nail places in central Florida trying to find “the one” and this is definitely it!! Thank you again!

My first time here and it was absolutely amazing. One thing I always hate about getting your nails done is when you walk into the place and no one is there to greet you but everyone getting their nails done turns to look at you. Not only is there a receptionist here to greet you immediately (and she’s very friendly too), but the layout is such that people getting their services done are behind the wall/faced the other way. This nail salon is very clean and they are adhering nicely to Covid protocol. Lam did my mani/pedi and he was so meticulous so I will definitely request him next time. It was $85 for both gel mani/pedi. I got the standard mani but the pink cosmo pedi (definitely worth it). The leg massage was phenomenal. Mimosas were a nice touch as well. I came with a friend but finished up before her so I went to wait for her in the front but the receptionist offered to let me sit next to my friend until she was done which I thought was a really nice gesture. I don’t really know if this place is top of the line or standard because I don’t ever get my nails done but it’s located 25 minutes from my house and I will definitely make the trip back.

She gave me an awesome hand/arm massage too! Lam did my pedicure & I couldn’t be more impressed, he did a thorough job & gave me an amazing leg & foot massage. Okay I’ve never written a review in my life. No one encouraged me to write this either. I have struggled with gel manicures for so long because I can’t stand when they ship and I don’t feel they last long enough for the price you pay. BUT. I got my nails done three weeks ago from today. Three. Weeks. Aside from my nails growing out, i have never had a manicure last this long and look this good. Oh and they offered me a beverage throughout the entire experience. Never going anywhere else ever again.
