Not sure why it took me so long to write this review, but Victory Martial Arts Oviedo is a fantastic ATA school, more than that, we are a family. My wife, sons and I have been attending for over 2 1/2 years. I started out as enthusiastic dad just participating to support my kids and now I assist in class of lower ranks when I can.The life skills my younger son is learning early in life Belief, Communication, Respect, Honesty Self-esteem and Discipline will help him to succeed in whatever he chooses in life.He is currently 9 years old and I have seen him mature in front of my eyes. He is more mature that some teenagers who are almost adults. He is confident to perform on stage or in front of large crowds and really dedicate himself to practice skills on his own.As everything in life, the amount of progress and rewards depends on how much effort you put in. If you or your kids like martial arts and are willing to put the time to learn and practice, you will not be disappointed.

Pretty intense atmosphere for both the kids and the parents. A lot of rules you need to pick up along the way, or youll both feel out of place. Very high pressure sales on each visit- even if youve already purchased a package. Bring in a friend. Mom classes. Dad classes etc etc. People get solicited even at birthday parties that are held there. Beware the annual pass. Try it out for a month before committing. No refunds on the unused portion. Only place Ive seen that will keep your money even if you only come for the first few weeks.

The staff in oviedo is fantastic. Mrs. Catlin runs a very disciplined school and has done a great job with Matthew. the staff members are very involved in the personal development of each student.

Our experience with Victory Martial Arts began when our son started VPK at O2b kids. He chose to do karate as his extracurricular activity. His very first class he was very nervous but Mr. Haymon was great with him and VERY patient and even took a few minutes after class to show him what he could expect. After our son graduated from VPK, we moved over to the martial arts school on Alafaya. Fast forward 3 years and my daughter and I now have been taking classes too. The staff is so friendly, patient and to be honest, we consider them family. My husband and I love the confidence and life skills our kids are gaining! I love the friendships and fitness!

Id like to start out by saying the instructor my son had, Mr. Boden, was FANTASTIC. Also, I think their curriculum is pretty great. However, the high pressure sales tactics have GOT TO GO. Last I checked I wasnt buying a car. Every time Ive been in here someone has pulled me aside to try to sell me a long contracted plan... at a pretty high rate. They use the running out of time sales tactic and put a lot of pressure on the parent. Personally, as someone with high anxiety Im not even sure Im going to continue out the rest of the promotional package I purchased for my son to begin with because going in there makes me so uncomfortable.

Weve been with Victory Oviedo for over 2 years. The instructors and directors are absolutely amazing and like family!! We cant say enough wonderful things about VMA Oviedo!

All of the instructors work so tirelessly and passionately with the kids. It is a great environment for all ages to grow.
