I’ve only been going there for a short period of time. Every time I’m there I’m greeted by a very happy friendly staff. One lady that stands out to me at the counter is a young lady with long curly back hair with glasses . She’s got a great personality that warms up the place

Had before covid19 scheduled time normal weekday M-F 5 am to 11 pm and S-S 8 am to 8 pm after covid19 this year so bad scheduled M-Th 5 am to 11 pm F 5 am to 9 pm and S-S 8 am to 7 pm why ? I not happy should cancel member anytime. Before 5 star than updated give 2 star so bad. Dont like CDC.

Staff is awesome and friendly, they’re very well managed too. Jennifer is an amazing trainer. Naomi always has my back, especially when I leave my phone or keys laying around. The regular members are a tight knit group, but quick to welcome others. The kids club is the best kept secret in Oviedo.

The managers and employee Morgan, Naomi, and Alton are super supportive and helpful. We had a recent death in the family and both were out of the gym for months and had severe mental block getting back in to the gym. They helped us come up with a plan, create a goal and stick to it. They answered our questions and calmed our anxieties over the whole matter repeatedly And patiently. They are professional courteous and understanding. thank you LA fitness Oviedo you guys are amazing!

The Gym is organized and clean. They have a beautiful place where they take care of your kids while you are doing exercises. I am so happy.

I love this gym! I have been member past 16 months and everybody is nice and everything is always clean. Totally recommend it!

My experience there was awful. The employees there do not know how to talk to others in a decent manner. The most disrespectful and unruly employees ruined my time and I will not be back. Not only did they ruin my time; All their workout equipment is subpar and needs to be replaced.

Went there to swim as a member 2 weeks ago; FILTHY POOL, i actually got super sick thanks to this dirty pool. The staff were not concerned at all. I don’t recommend this gym to any one. I am canceling my membership. BIG MISTAKE on my part to jump into that pool.

I love this location gym and atmosphere, BUT I got my outfit ruined on the abs matt around two month ago and now Equipments are ripped too so I have to be so careful when Im working out not to ruined all my gym clothes. We have to workout on RUSTED EQUIPMENTS. This place needs new equipment ASAP. The Waterford Lakes LA Fitness has been remodeled two times in a shirt period and it is very sad that the clients at the Oviedo LA Fitness have to be working out with old equipments. Please have this fixed.

Very rude staff. Did not want to educate the people with no actual appointment for swimming pool. But nose-picky to the customer who had made an appointment.

Clean gym, good equipment but employees and manager are ALWAYS rude and super disrespectful over little things that can be worked out like normal people.

Very good gym where everything comes in balance, body building and fitness, this is a place for everyone.

UPDATE (July 2021):Not sure why the employees at this branch are not helpful and by staff I mean the sales team. The sales manager, Morgan, hung up the phone while i was still talking. I called looking for some help in regards to my current membership. I called back and the lady up front told me sorry, its been busy and he didnt mean to. I had to call the waterford branch to help me out and they did! I started using my membership at a different branch near my job where its clean, new, friendly staff and you feel comfortable and safe. I saw a few reviews about Morgan hanging up on members and who is looking to join.UPDATE (2020): check out the video i posted on here about a few equipments to show how rusty and torn they are. This place really needs a good maintenance and remodeling.Today was my first day. The place is okay. The Equipment looks old and torn. Other LA Fitness places are a bit nicer, cleaner and have more of cross fit equipment.

An excellent local gym. Kim has consistently been going there for about 15 years, and Sidney has been consistently going there for about half that time. Excellent spin classes and instructors, including Saturday morning Marg; top notch current manager, Naomi, is very professional. Well laid out. Plenty of fine equipment and free weights. Mostly very polite and respectful fellow customers including folks of all ages. Just a super place to go relax and workout and get away from lifes stresses. Thank you Oviedo LAFitness for being open and for being such an awesome gym.

Fabulous. Constant sanitizing. Aerobics instructor made sure every wait was sanitized before using them. There was social distancing at all times.

It is a great place. It is clean and smaller which I like. There is not a sense of being pressured into buying extra services which allows a stress free workout. It is in a nice and bustling neighborhood.

Sales manager hung up on me as soon as I told him I was not interested in a membership. I forgot his name unfortunately but it was 4/26/21 at 6:30pm...

Mask police as soon as you walk in even though the CDC just confirmed only 9,000 people died from covid and mask done work. The guy at the front desk is extremely rude. Since my friend had a membership under her insurance he said she wouldn’t be entitled to a guest pass privilege mind you I was just shopping in the neighborhood and a guy who worked at LA fitness told me to try them out again since I used to be a member but I didn’t have his card with me. I asked to speak with someone higher up and he just continued to back talk and sit down and they were only open for a hour left. My friend is cancelling her membership as well I hope management does contact me I will be filing a complaint with corporate as well. We went to Apex which is 15 mins away and doesn’t make you wear a unnecessary mask to walk in and talk off. People treat you with respect.

Most unprofessional and clueless sales staff ever. I would be incredibly embarrassed as a manager to have such rediculosly clueless people working for me. Whoever is in charge of the Oviedo store has to be completely incompetent. I wouldnt put them in charge of the sugar bowl at a tea party.Sad, LA Fitness used to be a top gym, Now its depleting physically and the staff is horrendous.

Good gym. Its clean and the staff is cool. They just need to replace the old rusty ellipticals that have been there for over 10 yrs

I only go there for swimming. The pool is good. The locker room is ok in terms of cleanliness. The hours are reduced because of covid which is pretty irritating. Im still paying full price for those reduced hours however, which is one of the reasons I chose LA fitness in the first place.

Good club, lots of different machines and classes. Always clean and staff is great.What would make it five stars? Music is too loud. I can hear it over my own. Most everyone has their own music going, so what’s the point? Plus, speakers make it sound like cheap, 80s AM radio. How about updating your holiday hours on Google and/or in the app? I have no clue what time you open tomorrow, Christmas Eve.

I have been working out at this gym for years, and have never had a problem utilizing the personal training space until today. A female gym sales consultant approached me while I was using equipment in said area, and asked if I was a personal training client, to which I replied no, and she told me that area was only for clients, implying I leave. Now, I understand if trainers and their clients were using that space, you need the area. But there was no one, not one trainer in the area. So why cant I use that equipment? Ive even worked out in there while there was a trainer with a client, and respectfully kept my distance and moved away if I saw they needed the space and/or equipment. Shouldnt this space be a priority to them, but if not present its fair game? I was very taken aback by this.Meanwhile, in the gym there was a basketball scrimmage taking place, and men acting like boys all day long, crying about who fouled who, and who wasnt playing fair, and even had a sales consultant in there refereeing. They werent kicked out, yet I was? Come on L.A. Fitness, you can do better than this. I have been a loyal client for 11 years; the least you can do is share your equipment with me and others wanting to use that area.This happened on April 17th at around 6:15 pm.

They should put more sanitizing stations around the gym. Theres just not enough. Now, people need a face mask to enter. Most people take the. Off as soon as they go in. Whats the purpose? No enforcement whatsoever.

Group fitness speakers almost never work. Workout equipment is broken down and cracked & they don’t provide cleaning supplies to wipe down.Unfortunately, these problems are consistent through most of La Fitness facilities in Orlando. If you’re thinking of a gym membership here, I’d check it out before you commit.

Recently renovated. Nice and clean. I have found some a@@ hats who dont like to wipe down a machine after sweating all over. I cant comment on management, as I have had little interaction. Overall, good gym for its price point.

The stair steppers in this gym need to be replaced, they are broken and “scheduled for service” more often than they are functional.When they are functional I need to track my time on my watch workout app because the clock is about 5 minutes slow for a 30 minute workout. The machines will pause or just end the workout randomly for no reason.Yesterday 1/5 was functional, I had to use an elliptical (which I do in the AM anyway) due to unavailability.If this continues to be the trend I will look for another gym.

Since the recent renovations, the facility has been much cleaner and the new equipment is very nice. LA Fitness does not have the best amenities compared to other gyms and the women’s bathrooms, showers and sauna could definitely do with an upgrade. However, the membership is fairly inexpensive and you get what you pay for. The thing l like the most about this gym is that the patrons are respectful. I’ve never felt uncomfortable in the weightlifting area, which isn’t the case at other gyms I’ve tried.

I’ve been coming here for years. I travel for work and this is one of the cleanest LA’s around. Someone is always on staff, on site, cleaning this location.

Excited for my new journey with LA. The general manager, Mitchell, was very approachable and positive. He was attentive to the needs of my friend and I, as well as guided us in the right direction in terms of our fitness goals. Theyre are all kinds of different workout classes available at LA throughout the week, which Im excited for. They also have a swiming pool and hot top that are under appreciated. The sauna is great to heal and relax after a long workout too.. I did see a lot of people that are a lot more fit then me, but hey motivation.

Actually good distribution of equipment. Most in good shape some newer equipment. Patrons are educated clean and respectful.That along with satff helps keep the branch one one the better ones for LA FITNESS

Horrible hours, the mats and machines are always covered in sweat. The bathroom, sauna, and pool are all connected— guess how that smells? This place is nasty, they keep all of the good equipment in the personal training areas. At any given time a critical machine or bench is broken. Keep looking

Newly renovated! Their group exercise classes are fantastic. The instructors are excellent. With so many classes offered, it makes your membership fee a great bang for the buck!

They take forever to fix any issues that occur in the gym. The LA Fitness in my home town had a broken basketball hoop and it took them 2 days to fix.... this LA took about a month. Their sauna is always broken and takes weeks to fix. Ive been a member to many LA Fitness gyms and this gym IS BY FAR THE WORST OPERATED AND MANAGED GYM EVER!!!!

Equipment is a little older but the key issue is that theres not enough free weights to share. This location just doesnt live up to the others... but I know a renovation is coming so hopefully its improved.

Pool was Great! First time using it.

Ive been a member of this LA Fitness in Oviedo for two years now and I have always enjoyed going. Whether I go in the morning or the afternoon, I never have to wait for equipment. The place is kept clean and the equipment and weights are all in good condition. I swim, so I really like the indoor pool for laps. A wide variety of folks go to workout there (age, fitness level, etc) so no matter who you are you wont feel out of place.

I LOVE the set up of the gym! There are so many great amenities available and from what I have experienced, the staff are nice. I only went for a day, however, on a guest pass and all I really can say is this is not the type of gym for me. From the hour or so I was there all I felt was anxiety because of the amount of people around. I was clueless as to what to do when the machines I needed were taken. It was intimidating, to describe the facility in one word. I was focused more on the amount of people around than my actual workout. I was doing benched crunches and there was a congregation (six) of college age guys standing in a circle laughing and on their phones. This seems like the type of gym people go to hangout at rather than workout... I guess just to take selfies and say they did. I work out daily, and I love it and I dont think I will feel that passion at this gym, sorry, but thank you for allowing me to try the gym out at no cost.

Very dumb policies and Rude trainners. after more than 5 years i decided to cancel my membership. There are way better gyms out there with way more respect and appreciation of their members. Stay away from la fitness.

Clean and nice facility! I really like this LA fitness. Although, it can get busier in the mornings and evenings.

Sadly one can not negatively rate this facility. The employees here only care about playing on their cell phones as they are constantly on them and plugged in so not to run out of charge. They do not care about patrons and have some of the most surly and disrespectful employees I have ever come across. Recently the got a new heater in the pool which has lead to the pool being consistently over the temperate range they say the are to keep it in (82-84) it is typically 2-3 degrees warmer. They never address the issue except to lie that it within range. When asked if the temp monitor could be broken they become negative and aggressive saying its the right temp. The locker rooms are constantly filthy and you are lucky to not get sprayed with a variety of unknown cleaners as the janitorial staff has no concern of your personal belongings and will spray chemicals all over them. A few weeks ago there were no paper towels to be found in the entire gym! Disgusting! This location needs to have corporate come in and clean house both for overall cleanliness and for the terrible employees that only care about their cell phones, eating on the floor and not caring about anyone unless youre some underdressed trollop dancing around exposed to solicit yourself to the lazy employees that then will get off their phones. This place is a joke no professionalism and no cares! The overweight sales men are constantly reaching their hands down the back of their pants to tuck in their shirts, maybe they should invest in some larger clothes to fit their portly figures and shirt stays so they can keep their hands out of their pants. This practice is disgusting and I highly doubt these individuals wash their hands on any sort of regular basis thus potentially spreading fecal matter and associated bacteria with it.

The people that work here are a special kind of ridiculous. they will yell at one person for dropping weights but not another, they never send the staff back to clean the free weight area, and they tell you the gym is not meant for lifting heavy weights(this is an actual thing that has been said to me by multiple employees as recent as 2 days ago). In fact the only good employees in the facility are the janitorial staff, constantly cleaning even during peak hours(but never in the way of guests) and it is the ONLY LA fitness that I have ever seen across the country that always has clean bathrooms.

Ive been going to this gym for about 18 months now and had been quite happy with it. I would be giving this gym 5 stars but...Unfortunately over the past 6 months or so the humidy in the gym has gotten worse and worse and now it is totally out of control.

Cancelled my membership 6 years ago. Just found out they have been charging my corporate card $32 per month for the last 6 years! Asked them to see if I’ve checked in with my key tag in the last 6 years?! Told me they don’t have the ability to do that?! This will be treated as theft! Beware of this company!

The renovations have finally been taking place and make this location quite nice. Ive still not heard great things regarding the sales reps but have fortunately not had to deal with any of them myself. The shake and supplement business inside is overpriced but you pay for the convenience I suppose.

Super clean! Not too crowded

Everything about the facility is great. However, beware of the process to cancel your membership. You must be there in person between the hours 9-5 on a weekday. So, if you happen to work or move out of town, too bad, youll be stuck with them. Even when I did go in person, it took me three months to cancel my membership after I went in person, not once, not twice, but three times! Very frustrating.

I dont love it just because..... I still have to drive instead waking or biking, but other then that it is a perfect work out place ; clean, always available machines and shower, the pool is not crowded and always speck able clean!!!! Excellent place for work out:)

If you get a personal trainer ask for Toni, shes the best. They have a smoothie bar with great smoothies and healthy snacks.

Machines feel like they are down quite often. The front desk are always on their phones. Otherwise you get what you pay for. Not horrible gym.

Its a meat market more than a gym. I have been too many LA Fitness but this one has so many gross half naked people working out than anywhere else. I say gross cause no one wants to sit on a machine after someone whose sweaty private parts has been rubbed on there...and they dont clean it... damn people wear shorts that cover your butts and fronts!! Thats straight up nasty to see those wet seats ... i really wish there was a closer LA fitness... I wipe the machines but damn, seriously???!!

Way too crowded for my liking and the trainers are all rude besides one and his name is Kyle.Front desk girls are always helpful.Basketball courts are always crowded during peak times. Not enough area to work out due to amount of people who go here. If you go early in the morning or late at night, you will find everything reasonable.

No stars here, front desk admin, smiles, while doing nothing to resolve problems, they removed my banked training sessions which I paid for and which I train 2 -3 times a week. People wear street tennis shoes in the pool, no one cares, people where shoes in the sauna, and put them on the walls, no one cares. Equipment is down A LOT, and doors in the stalls are broken or in need of repair, no one cares,not a great bang for the buck here. Too bad no one cares. It could be a great place.

Reading some of the low reviews here and am a little confused as to the hate here. Been going here for 4 years and whilst not a perfect gym Ive enjoyed working out here. I mean if you just want to walk in, get your workout in, and leave I would recommend it or if you want to take a class. Staff is alright, a few odd clients and characters but youll see that at any gym, the place is always clean, and only rarely have I not been able to get to equipment I want some time in my workout. Better than a lot of gyms Ive been to. Good alternative to the UCF gym really.

Very clean gym but today was ruined and future work outs will be ruined with the negative thoughts about today’s interruption. Doing “pedlay rows” was told not to drop the weight I’m making too much noise. Her client was distracted. Listen I get it if I’m doing 500 lb dead lifts and dropping the weight and making the floor make noise. This is pedlay rows where the weight is to touch the ground to relieve stress on the back. If you get “distracted” by people that actually train to progress then LA fitness should not be your go to gym. As an employee you should also be aware of the rules and not bother guest during their workouts based on “noise”. The warning states don’t drop the weight due to possible damage to floor. Which was not the case it was a noise of the NON round plates. Very frustrated with today and now have to wonder if more workouts will be ruined by incompetent employees.

Having access to all the LA fitnesses in Florida is very convenient for me if I have something to do across town and still want to get in a workout.

Very helpful in signing me up and identifying what I should concentrate on to meet my goals.

Horrible customer service at the front desk. Here is my story:They entered my last name incorrectly(my last name is three letters) on my account when they had my ID with them upon sign up. I went back to the front desk, and wanted to change my name. They said They do not have the authority to change it, so they directed me to the website where I supposedly could change my last name, and if it did not work on the website I could come back and have them fix it (But they cant fix it when I was there now). They would not let me do it on their many computers that were not in use. So, I went home created an online account with La Fitness, and turned out that I could not change my name through the website at all. I drove back to La Fitness like they directed me to, and told them that I could not change my name on line. They told me only their manager can make the change, and the manager was not working at the moment (9-5 Monday to Friday). So I still cannot change my last name and they still cannot change it for me. Very upset with this experience. I also wanted to cancel my membership with them because of this experience, but I could not do that either because they did not have the authority to do so. Terrible customer service, uneducated employees, lack of care for the customer.

Clean new and nice but nobody greeting ..how hard to say hi or welcome if you work at concierge desk .they always chat each other and ignore customers walking in.1 week no greeting l talked one of their manager..nothing changed..of course l ll keep going there bec of localisation but need better customer service this branch.

It is better than the gym we had Afghanistan. Management is unseen, weights are not returned, and much of the staff is unaware of customer service. I changed gyms as a result from systemic failures.

Its been renovated so it doesnt smell anymore. But compared to another local gym in Oviedo where all the employees are super nice, the employees there are hit and miss and if you ask them a question, they are pretty much clueless. The gym used to have both a short straight and curl bar.......well the curl bar has been missing in action for the last month and no one there knows where it went. How about ordering another one LaF? It is used often by many people, including myself. And why you are ordering that, how about ordering more rubber handles for the cables.

Keeps it clean, as clean as a gym can be. Members are respectful. Gets busy at certain times. The location is tucked away and stays quite for the most part.

Honestly wish there was a better place in oviedo to work out thats comparable. Their equipment is always broken, takes months to repair and its small and crowded all the time. Ive been going here 7 months and I think all the stairmaster machines have been functioning a week if that. You gotta wonder when they stop wasting time on repairs, stop being cheap and pony up for new machines. Staff is nice so thats good I guess....

Good general facilities for the price, only issue is LA Fitness corporate, especially if you want to cancel.

Racquetball Courts:1/1/17 - recently resurfaced - very niceLA Fitness has no restrictions on taking free wights and barbells into the glass area. One day a girl mishandled her weights and shattered the glass on Court 1. Fortunately nobody was injured, but the court was out of commission for several months. LA Fitness refuses to post signs prohibiting weights in the glass area.For several months, the A/C was out. Imagine playing racquetball in a hot box for 2 hours. LA Fitness could not say when it would be fixed. If you able to contact the manager, he/she said the part was on order and the A/C should be fixed soon. It took more than 3 months.

Clean and well maintained. However, the staff needs to be aware who is coming in.

Its just been let go. The quality of the new instructors Instructor isnt there anymore.

Its almost as if nobody works here. The employees are all invisible, which is good i guess if you want to shoot heroin while working out. But for any other situation its not really ideal. The equipment is rusty and poorly maintained, and the whole place smells like nothing has been cleaned or even wiped off in a while. Also, if you come even ONCE with a friend to work out, expect lots of subsequent calls and texts from the gym desperately trying to sell you a membership. YouFit is a slightly better option, especially if youre willing to trade off size for cleanliness.

I had the pleasure of meeting the new general manager this afternoon and he took great care of adding my wife to my account. As a 5 year member it was nice to see the new Managment.

Good atmosphere to workout but too often workers are too busy chatting... Often the sanitizer stations are out...

Customer Service for Loyal members is non-existant here... Was a member for over 7 years. Moved to Denver were there are no L.A. Fitness. Came home to visit and tried to workout? Nope! These people want to charge me $60 bucks to workout for 4 days? Thats 2 months of membership? I guess the $2500 in dues I paid in the past doesnt mean anything. Its Ok though... Im in better shape than 90% of every body that goes there :)

I cant recommend this club. All equipments are old. There are 6 showers and only 1 works acceptably...

Its okay it was remodeled recently, the young clientle are very inmature and dont have the discipline to place weights back and leave areas in a mess management are not proactive in this area they spend thier time picking up after they leave thier weights all over the place its quiete messy during evening hours and people stay on machines with others just talking and playing with thier phones look around before commiting to this establishment, very nice qym on CR 419 opened 24 hours and only $25 a month you get the combination to enter very modern and extremely clean and well organized good luck.

Way over priced but alot of extras

The only real complain is people take to long on the machines by sitting and chatting and texting and just sitting because they are to tired to do a real work out. People!! move and let someone else use the equipment if youre not going to do an honest work out.

I have been working out at gyms for 24 + years and a member of this gym since it opened. This is the most unfriendly gym staff I have ever encountered. But it gets worse the reason I am prompted to write this review is because while I was working out with my wife, who I had just re- added to my membership, I staff member came up to us; says her and the staff have been observing us and it seems to them that I was training my wife, which was not allowed. I explained to the her this is my wife and we are simply working out together. She warned me if I continued to talk to my wife and spot on on particular exercise she would have ask me to leave. I then told her I will continue to speak to my wife while we were working out and more than that if she ask me to leave I will not leave. The staff member then went and called the police to the gym to escort me and my wife out of the gym. Save your money stay away for LA Fitness.

I was a member at this gym for over 3 years however recently canceled due to their poor customer service. This location was the only location that had rude employees and lack of management skills. Very disappointed.

Very disappointed with this gym. I actually purchased the personal training but the trainer was not consistent and when we worked out she kill me to the point that I was injured. Needless to say, I paid the penalty to get out of the contact and found a different gym that was actually clean. People at this gym do not wipe down the equipment when they are done....gross! This could be the reason why my trainer was always sick. Do yourself a favor and find a gym that is clean. Find a personal trainer that is not associated with the gym, you will be better off.....and it is cheaper.
