The day of my consultation, Wednesday, September 15, Amber told me that she could not order my wig that day although I paid for it in full. She had to wait for a manager to do it the next day, but she would call me no later than Friday to let me know that the order had been placed and when to expect arrival. Amber also told me that I would have an appointment when my wig arrived to make sure it fit and if it needed any styling out of the box, etc. I received no call. On Monday September 20 I called and was told that the wig had been ordered and did not appear to be back ordered. I received a call the next day, Tuesday September 21 telling me my wig had arrived and then I set up an appointment to get my wig and go over how to care for it, so any styling that needed to be done, etc. I asked, again, specifically about the styling of the wig and to again confirm that it was included and I was told “yes” those services were included. When I called about my pick up appointment that was scheduled for Wednesday, September 29 I was told that only a bang trim was included (if needed) and that “yeah, we can brush it out for you”. Different infformation provided by a third employee! I live an hour away, so I was told that my wig could be shipped to me for $8. I asked if Bravadas would considering waiving that fee since I had received inconsistent customer service and incorrect information multiple times. That request was denied. Again, poor customer service! I paid $ for my scene stealer by Raquel Welch when I could have paid $364 with free shipping online. I was happy to pay the extra cost because of the consultation and the promised styling session at the time of pick up, so I now have spent $468.04 plus $8 for the store to shop it to me. So I paid Bravadas a total of $476.04, more than $100 above the online price and the only bonus I received was the ability to try on the wigs and look at color swatches to try and order the correct color. If need to return my wig I will be charged 15% of the cost of the wig!I sure hope it arrives in good condition and doesn’t need a lot of styling, because I won’t be returning to Bravadas for future services after this unsatisfactory customer service experience.

Such a wonderful place! I got to accompany my mother in the winter and this summer my best friend who were both in search of a wig. Jessica was amazing and so very helpful! She did an incredible job of finding the perfect wig for them. I highly recommend this place!

My wife recently had brain surgery and had to have an incision across her head from ear to ear. They had to shave that area and it left a track across her head. She has never been self conscious about physical appearance in regards to things, however, this was causing her anxiety. When she walked into the store, Jessica greeted her with a big smile and told her that she had the perfect solution for her. Mary, my wife, is a beautiful red head, and I would imagine that there are not many wigs for red haired women around. Jessica, who by the way works in Overland Park, Kansas, got the piece she had mentioned, and within a few minutes she had it in place and looking good. I was not with Mary at the time. When she came home I immediately asked her if she had gotten a hair cut. She then told me that it was a topper. The color matches perfectly and it just looks amazing. Mary is heading to Mexico soon for her son’s wedding and now she can feel beautiful and not conscientious about photos. Thank you Jessica so much, what you have done, your caring way, is absolutely priceless. Thank You for making my baby feel so cared for, and comfortable with the process. I would have paid any price for that! When I first called Bravadas, a lovely voice answered, and she immediately understood what I was searching to find. She set an appointment for me and when I arrived, I was not disappointed with this young ladys expertise. She was GREAT!!! Her name is Jessica; she was so patient, and helpful through the whole process, I could not believe my good fortune, in finding this wonderful young lady who was incredibly patient and understanding. She put me at ease immediately, searched for just the right type of topper and gave me choices. After several on and off trials of the choices, I made my decision, but it was to be ordered, with the change of a wider cap with clips, and the particular topper I desired. She left the room for a short time, and came back smiling, because she found the exact topper I wanted, which was in storage. I love the personality and proficiency of this lovely young Jessica Netti. She is a tremendous asset to your business. You will do well to keep this warm, sweet knowledgeable lady in your employment. I was greeted by Kathryn when my husband and I walked in, She immediately made me feel so comfortable. This was my first time visiting a wig salon. I didnt know what to look for and she picked out several to decide from. She was very very pleasant and patient. She made the experience relaxing and fun. It didnt take long to decide. She was so informative and explained everything in complete detail. I had breast cancer surgery in September and for some reason my hair has fallen out on the right side. She was so consoling and we had some great laughs together. I cant be serious about anything and sort of take life as it is. It was really great to laugh with her. Thank you Katheryn. Hard to find the words that truly tell how awesome Jessica was to me at Bravadas this morning. Because of chemotherapy I’m losing my hair quickly and knew a really pretty wig was the only way I was going to be able to handle this. Jessica was so friendly. Some people you meet just have a way of making you feel like you’ve always been friends and I appreciated that about her. She gave me good recommendations and made sure I knew how to handle and care for my new wig.I loved their selection and the shop was modern and very clean. ❤️

I am a wig virgin and I walked into Bravadas not knowing what to expect. I was warmly greeted by Jessica and I told her that I needed something to cover up a large scar on my head. I had tried all kinds of scarves and headbands, but they didn’t work. I told her I was going to my son’s wedding in Mexico in 2 weeks. With a big smile she said “as soon as you walked in the door I knew exactly the piece that will work for you.” She sat me down and placed a topper over my hair and I was amazed! She took the time to teach my daughter and I how to put it on and remove it. Now I can attend the wedding and regular daily events with confidence knowing that if people are staring at me it’s because of how awesome my hair looks instead of wondering “what happened to that lady’s head?” Thank you Jessica from the bottom of my heart.

Today, my daughter from out of town and I went into Bravadas to look at wigs. I just recently found out I have Cancer and will start treatment soon. If you can imagine how I was feeling going in there, I didnt have a positive attitude. Jessica not only assisted me in finding the most perfect wig, but she turned my entire day around. She was caring, she made me laugh, she was SO patient and overall turned my whole outlook and attitude around. It was such an amazing experience given my situation. Im so grateful to her and Bravadas for everything they did for me.

I had a haircut that was too short in the front so I purchased a couple of clip-on extensions. They matched my hair beautifully you never know that they were there. Chris was an excellent salesperson and consultant! I would prefer Bravadas to everyone that needs a little help. Brought my girlfriend who was losing a lot of hair and she bought a wig and she looked gorgeous in it. They fit so well you never know that it wasnt your own hair.

Today was the first day I ever visited Bravadas. I had made an appointment for a free consultation. My appointment was with Sherry. She was right on time, listened, was extremely helpful, friendly, compassionate (hair loss is so upsetting and she was so sweet about the whole ordeal) she has a great sense of humor, professional and patient. She was honest about different wigs I tried on. (Which, by the way, I tried a lot of wigs on). She gave me very helpful information about do’s and dont’s for the wig I purchased. My mom and my mother-in-law were blown away by Robinn and her staff. They took such great care of them! They were both simply giddy when they left the salon. Some of the things I heard on the way home: They were all so helpful and sweet! They really set me up so Id know exactly what to do when I got home. So much great info! Cant believe I found it on the 3rd try! It looks so natural. I expected them to try to up-sell us but they just sold me what I needed and I never felt pressure. Best birthday present EVER! Moms new do looks like she just walked out of a high end salon - her only better! The style is just the way she likes it and the color was spot-on. My mother-in-law had her wig trimmed up a bit and was so impressed. She plans to come back soon for another wig. Thank you!!!

I dont know much about wearing hair but when I came into Bravadas, everyone was very kind and helpful and answered all my questions. I was looking for some extensions, and I found out that there are many different types. Robin helped me find the perfect set that matched my hairstyle and met my needs. They even colored and cut them to blend naturally into my hair. Everyone was so nice & had great customer service!

My sister has hair loss due to health issues. She lives in a small town and came up to Overland Park to look for a wig. We chose Bravadas Wig Store to shop for her a wig. What a wonderful experience we had. Lavinia was the consultant and she really knew her stuff. We picked out five wigs but the very first one my sister tried on was it! It looked just like my sisters hair used to. It was a synthetic wig but the hair is beautiful in texture and just the perfect density to look exactly like real hair. It came out of the box and only required minimal combing to look fantastic. Lavinia instructed her how to put the wig on and off and gave her cleaning supplies and instructions on how to use them. She was so pleasant and helpful and made us permanent customers of Bravadas.

I have thinning hair and issues with my shoulders, making curling and styling my hair painful. I couldnt be happier with my wig purchase or the kindness and helpfulness of Chris and others I dealt with in their salon. I seldom shop in brick-and-mortar stores but quickly discovered its essential when shopping for a wig. They made me feel very welcome and I cant recommend them heartily enough.

Our 16 year old daughter with downs syndrome was diagnosed with Alopecia after a significant amount of hair loss. We tried two other wig stores that were closer to our home but sadly they were not helpful. As a last ditch effort we made the drive to this store and I am very glad we did. We had no idea what we were doing and the young lady named Tanner that helped us was AMAZING! We were trying to make it as fun of an experience as possible for our daughter and Tanner made that happen. She helped our daughter try on several different wigs and made her feel like a princess. Tanner also took the time to explain things to us and give us pointers. She even sent the sweetest thank you card to us in the mail. We will be going back there for any future wigs we purchase. Thank you for having a lovely shop and wonderful, caring employees.

I have to give these people props. They absolutely went above and beyond for me. They really did. Ill spare you the sob story but I went in with an absolute mess of hair. Depression had taken its toll on me. They were the most compassionate people Ive come across in years. They helped me in ways you cannot even imagine. They fitted me in a wig within my budget and gave me tips (because Ive never had to wear a wig before, sadly I was clueless). These women are absolute professionals and I will sing them praises. If youre looking for a wig and youre nervous like I was, or if youre just in need of a wig period, these are the ladies you want. Thank you again ladies, youre the best.

Traveling as I do, I find that wig shopping is a sport in itself. Whereas you would assume that in a large city that there would be a competitive market with wigs however that is not the case. Pull out your pocketbook and don’t forget to breathe ...because Bravadas Is no exception to that.. However,if you are going to pay a lot then you should expect a lot . This boutique has been designed to accommodate every possible need you would have concerning wigs. Robin is the associate that helped me my first few visits and was able to match me with several beautiful wigs. She was very patient and took her time working with me. Unfortunately my last two visits were not so great as she was not there and I found it very difficult to get any assistance I got the impression that I was an inconvenience . They acted annoyed and bored with helping me even though I was only there for 20 minutes and did purchase a wig. In hindsight I regret my choice but it’s nice enough so it’ll do. When I returned the next day to purchase the wig I had not chosen I was treated with the same level of indifference. When I asked about Robin again I was told that the young lady that was helping me at that moment was the only blonde and basically this “Robin” did not exist until I pushed the matter. Then and only then finally was told was she’s just not there with no information as to when she would be back so I would recommend anybody going to call ahead and see if she is there if they want to have good service.. Otherwise I was the only customer in the boutique both times and neither time did they seem to have any concern or care to assist me or be at least curteous. After the second eye roll I was finished with it and went to try another wig boutique .

I have thinning hair so set my first appt. at Bravadas in O.P.Ks. Immediacy, had a good feeling when my sister and I went in. There was a huge selection and very nicely arranged. Lavinia was our personal assistant and when I described my situation patiently listened. To me this was a very big decision. She was so very knowledgeable and we felt at ease as we walked around and made choices on possible styles. She was such a pleasant listener she was able to help me pick something that made me feel natural and good about myself. Needless to say I did make a purchase and have had rave reviews. Sent two wigs in one to be refurbished and one to be washed. They styled the wrong one after I told them many times which one to style. When I got my most expensive one back (the one that was supposed to be styled) it had huge rips in the lace. I would not recommend going to this place to get your wigs styled.
