I was hired on as a contractor to complete agile projects. Within a week and a half, I was moved to another department/manager that worked in a production support environment while working on an agile project.

Chloe Kadel messaged me on LinkedIn saying my background looks impressive and offered me a position as staffing recruiter for the Kansas city branch. Which makes no sense, because Im a film major with 5 years of retail experience and this is an IT consultation company. I asked her what Apex was, and instead of answering my question, she said the next step was to email her my updated resume with qualified references so she can send that to her corporate recruiter and get me started on phone interviews and questionnaires. Attached was a pdf titled recruiter management trainees that warranted no information towards my original question of what the heck Apex was or what Id even be doing. I messaged back telling her that information was unhelpful, and I asked why someone with nothing but clothing store experience looks fit to be a recruiting manager for an IT company to her, and she hasnt replied since. Guess my background wasnt so impressive to her after all. Which is fine, as it appears from other reviews Ive read, this company loves to beat around the bush when it comes to relaying information to its workers that have legitimate questions. Unprofessional behavior. Predatory recruitment full of complicated jargon to make you feel like this is an important opportunity youre qualified for. The only thing that qualifies me to work there is the fact that I live in the branch theyre hiring at. They clearly just want someone to fill their empty spots, qualified or not. Makes you wonder why those spots are empty, doesnt it? Theres more information about how to start working there on their website than there is about what the hell they do. That pdf said theyre looking for people who want to build careers here but multiple employee reviews on glassdoor cite its nearly impossible to stay on full time even if appointed team lead on a project. I cant just let this sit here with 2 five star reviews that say very professional team, and the other with no comment at all; when it has a 1.5 rating on a website for people that have already worked there before. Its gonna be a 1 star for me, dawg.
