I’m not sure I have the proper words. I left in tears today but not in pain, tears of relief, tears of joy.I found Dr. Burroughs through friends of mine. I only wish I had found him years ago.I have never in my 43 years gone to an Endodontist where I didn’t leave in excruciating pain.Dr. Burroughs I still am in complete awe. I truly didn’t think it was possible. I had an emergency root canal today and I just can’t believe how fast and effective this went. I didn’t believe it when she said it would be pain free. I don’t know how you do it but truthfully did not feel any pain from this at all. The last few days before I came in were some of the most painful, scary days of my life. You and your staff deserve the highest praise there is. Thank You for your wisdom, integrity, professionalism, kindness, and compassion.

A terrific find! Everyone was kind and professional from my first phone call to book thru their follow-up call to check on me. Dr. Burroughs and his staff work precisely and efficiently. I closed my eyes and relaxed during the procedure because I knew I could trust in them and I was right. Everyone is warm and caring and have a great bed-side manner too!

I second all of the 5 star reviews speaking to Dr. Burroughs skill and care. I rarely write a review - but felt compelled to provide another perspective. I was quite nervous about the procedure - Dr. Burroughs was thoughtful and considerate of my anxiety, both polite and patient. What was more impressive was the way he treated his nurse and assistant. It would be hard not to notice his genuine and intermediate please and thank you s and the consideration he showed everyone during the procedure. Maybe it is sad that it seems so rare today, but it was comforting to know that Jeffrey Burroughs is not only an excellent endodontic doc, but also a kind, polite and thoughtful person.

Very highly recommended! Dr Burroughs and his staff are amazing. For root canals, I think it is best to go to an endodontist instead of a dentist who doesn’t specialize in that area. He and his assistants work very efficiently together, are very detailed and will explain everything along the way. They use state of the art x-ray equipment and will show you the colorful images. The whole procedure was very comfortable. Dr Burroughs’ resume is quite impressive (Board Certified with many top honors). The office followed up with me about a week later to see how I was doing. I appreciate him serving our country in the Air Force and his support of charities.

My experience with Dr. Burroughs was incredible. He was professional, and kept me informed throughout my dental procedure. The root canal experience was pretty easy and not painful at all. Great service and I highly recommended.

Dr. Burroughs has got latest Root Canal surgical technology and expertise (For example, 3-D Xray m/c, GentleWave non-invasive technology, and other special surgical tools etc. for re-doing root canal) to immediately diagnose an re-infected root canal which normal family dental clinics and some other Endodontist dental clinics are not equipped with for diagnosis. So, whenever one is suffering from un-diagnosed Root Canal area problems one must seek his expertise before considering tooth excavation or implant.

I must admit I was very nervous about my appointment. However, I got so comfortable during my root canal procedure to the point I fell asleep! That’s how relaxed I was ! I am very happy I was referred to Dr. Burroughs! His staff was also very nice! 😊

I’ve had multiple root canal procedures, and my experience at Burroughs Endodontics ranks right at the top. Based on my manageable level of pain pre-procedure, I got an appointment in a few days after the referral from my general dentist. All staff were friendly, professional and very efficient. In particular, the young lady assisting the Dr. explained every step she took during x-rays and other prep procedures. Dr. Burroughs outlined what he was going to do. In the 90 minutes or so I was in the chair, the two of them worked extremely efficiently together. There was no idle chitchat and questions (that I certainly was in no position to answer). Post-op instructions were clear and no complications. There is no hesitation in recommending this practice should you need their services.

They were quick to get us in when my son needed root canals done. Were very helpful during the process, and explained details of what was happening. Great service, would definitely go back if needed again for any reason.

Dr. Burroughs and his staff were incredible. I was told by my dentist Monday that I needed a root canal and by Thursday Dr. Burroughs had me in his office. He and his assistant were quick but thorough. I was in and out of his chair in 45 minutes and by Saturday evening--I was pain free. Unfortunately I have some gum issues because of immunosuppressant therapy....so I have had a few root canals by the dentist. Going to a specialist is a night and day difference. I highly recommend them...top-notch!!!!

This my first visit to BE...and from the moment I stepped into the office I felt comfortable. A welcoming presence at the desk, and a brief explanation of what I was needed to do before the appointment. The dental assistant made sure I was comfortable, and talked me through all of the prep work. Finally, Dr. Burroughs took over and did an amazing job. I was so comfortable, I think I even fell asleep while they were performing the root canal. After completion of the procedure, he showed me the x-rays explaining what they had done. Highly recommended if you are apprehensive about having a root canal... glad I got to meet you all, but really hope I don’t have to do this again!!

Dr. Burrough is phenomenal at what he does. I have had my fair share of disaster experiences when dealing with dentistry. But this experience for my recent root canal was excellent! I felt absolutely nothing, and it was over so quickly. He is very thorough at explaining his plan while working on your teeth, during and after I was fully aware of what was going on. Wonderful chair side manner, and you can tell he knows his stuff! The office staff is very friendly as well and did a great job answering my questions. Ive had multiple root canals, and I have a lot of dental anxiety. This place makes you feel so comfortable. They explain the process, theyre very nice, and they make sure to answer any questions you have.If youre scared (or not), go here. I cannot stress this enough. No issues here.

Office is amazing. You are welcomed with smiling faces as soon as you walk in. They ask if you want water, and let you know all about dr Burroughs and the practice to make sure you understand how the appointment might go if you need treatment. Erikas experience and knowledge about Dr Burroughs is incredible. The assistant Miriam got me back, I have a disability and I’m in a wheel chair and can’t walk. She lifted me out of my chair and into their chair without any hesitation and made sure I was comfortable. She kept asking me if I was okay and that was the most important thing to me because I was scared. During xrays I felt no pain because sometimes X-rays can be uncomfortable. Dr Burroughs came in and he talked to me and my grandma about treatment and we got started right away with two root canals. I’ve had over 30 surgeries due to my disability and I’m scared to death of needles but the shot was painless and the procedure was painless. There was no pain pain after in the following days either. There is a new machine called the GentleWave procedure that they have and dr Burroughs is one of few endodontist in Kansas to have it. I wasn’t eligible for it, not all patients can receive it due to reasons involving the tooth and I wasn’t able to get it but the office explains everything about it and it seems like a great tool for anyone possibly needing a root canal. The fact that Erika knows how things could possibly be and the fact that Miriam took great care of me with my disability and not being able to walk By lifting me into the chair and always checking on me makes me highly recommend this office. They also follow up the next couple days to make sure you are okay. Please go to the office for all your root canal needs. It was quick and painless.

All I can say is wow. I called when they first opened for an emergency root canal. As my tooth pain have been keeping me up for two nights with zero sleep. I was in town on business in overland Park area. Erica immediately recognized that I needed help. He went above and beyond. Working with the rest of the staff so that I could get an appointment. 2 hours later I was in I had my root canal done in record time and I was finally able to get some sleep. This office is amazing. From their welcoming voices on the phone and how much they care about your needs and concerns to their smiling faces when greeting you, to their expertise especially with insurance and knowledge of what the doctor might do before even seeing you is great. Okay, you need to get a root canal. Otherwise you wouldnt be reading this review, right? Nobody wants to get one, but if you need one, go with Dr. Burroughs and his office. My dentist sent me to Dr. Burroughs office for the root canal because the situation with my tooth was a little complicated. I needed to attend two appointments with Dr. Burroughs to get it all taken care of. Throughout the procedure, I did not feel any pain. The problem is now all taken care of and my tooth feels much, much better. No more pain, discomfort. Im glad that Dr. Burroughs treated my tooth. If I need another one of these in the future, I will see Dr. Burroughs, without a doubt.

Office staff, dental assistants, and Dr. Burroughs were all exceptional! I was initially nervous about the procedure, but all expectations were explained, and all my concerns were addressed, so I felt much more comfortable once it was time to start. On top of having patient-centered service, Erica and Sloan were able to get me in on the day that I called for an emergent procedure. Ive never had to have a root canal before, but Dr. Burroughs and Sloan kept me comfortable throughout the procedure, and they worked quickly and efficiently - from first numbing to final X-ray I think the procedure took 45 - 60 mins. I felt extremely comfortable from the start; they really know what theyre doing there. Their office is also really clean and tidy. Thank you for a great experience despite the uncomfortable circumstances of dental pain!!

Dr. Burroughs was able to quickly diagnose my problem and treatment needed. He performed a root canal on my tooth and drained the abscess. The quality of my life improved dramatically, the pain was eliminated. Two years later and I am thankful every day for Dr. Burroughs taking care of that problem with zero complications. He is an asset to the Kansas City area.

Over the past 2 years, I have had to have two, complicated root canals. Both were performed by Dr. Burroughs, who provided excellent, professional service with absolutely NO PAIN. He also takes the time to show and explain what is planned and done. His extremely professional and courteous staff were very helpful with insurance processing as well as scheduling. They and he are a pleasure to deal with. Although I cant exactly say I am ever happy to have root canal work (I am sure there will be more in the future!), I am grateful to have found such a wonderful Endodontist when the next one is needed. Highly, highly recommend!

As previously mentioned, this is an Excellent doctor, scheduling was fast and efficient, and procedure went smooth. **Excellent doctor! I had a root canal that was pretty painless. Would highly recommend Dr. Burroughs. My only complaint is with the billing side. I had them look up, through my insurance, how much my procedure would cost because I was asked to prepay. I paid a few hundred dollars. Less than 2 months later, I received a statement slapping me with a 25 dollar late fee on a 4 dollar balance I didnt know I had (5x what I owed, really?). They claimed to have sent three statements (in less than 2 months?) But I didnt receive any of them. Seriously, if I prepaid a few hundred, I would have gladly sent the extra 4 dollars. When I called to talk to the gal, I asked why there was no secondary method of contact. Normally this would get picked up on a follow-up visit, but since I didnt need one, I never knew anything was wrong. Her solution was to knock 10 bucks off the late fee. I realize the bill is late, but if I dont know it, I cant pay it. Ive never had a doctor put a late fee on something so fast, or so small. Its the principle of it that would make ne hesitate recommending them if the doc wasnt so good. See Dr. Burroughs, but dont assume you have a zero balance if you prepay for services.

I was extremely pleased from the moment I walked in and encountered a heart felt greeting, extremely pleasant service from all the assistance and to top it off the Dr. made the experience as gentle as it could have possibly be for a root canal! The story gets better because after you guys called to check up on me I went on a rampage about how awesome the experience was and as soon as I get off the phone with you I turn up my radio to hear a pretty famous local talk radio host rave about his experiance!! Just got an emergency root canal done by Dr Burroughs. The staff in this place is extremely friendly. I was recommended to Burroughs by my dentist to get a second opinion on my shooting pain on my teeth over the last couple of days. As soon as I came in, they took me in immediately, performed a couple of scans and within minutes started my root canal. I was out within an hour knowing I will sleep with no pain today. Very professional and efficit

After having a terrible experience with a previous endodonist, I mistakenly put off work on my teeth for a long time. My anxiety was at a high even talking about a dentist up until last week when I had my root canal done by Dr. Burroughs. I called Thursday night and left a message for the office to get scheduled and I got a call back at 6:30 am Friday. Extremely efficient all around. My work was not an easy fix but he took his time and I was so at ease the entire time. I need another root canal done (unfortunately but knew it was coming) and guess where I’m getting it done? Yes. Right here. COMPLETELY recommend.

I was very pleased with my care today at Burroughs Endodontics. My dentist refered me to Dr. Burroughs for a root canal. Erika from the office called me to discuss the details of my appointment and at the time I was in a lot of pain. She suggested I come in for a pulp debribement since my root canal was not for another week. She was so sweet and was able to get me in right away. In the past, Ive had a lot of anxiety over going to the dentist. I was put at ease from the moment I walked through the door and throughout my visit. The procedure went smoothly and my pain is gone. I am not at all worried about going back next week to complete the root canal as Dr. Burroughs and his assistant were very efficient and professional. Thank you Dr. Burroughs and Staff!

If there ever was a perfect, zero pain root canal, then I had it. I assume it was due to the competence of Dr. Burroughs and his staff that I encountered no pain during the procedure and required no pain pills afterwards. I would add that the staff was very nice and informative to help lesson a stressful visit.

My husband had some training for 3 weeks in Overland Park. We live in Texas and he had been putting his bad tooth off for months. So naturally when we go out of town the pain starts. The doctor that was in network for us was out of town for a week. He decided to wait for him to get back for his root canal. He came back to the car after a little over an hour in the office and said I will drive here from Texas if I ever need another tooth done We found this Endodontist by luck and he was amazing, his wife at the front desk was amazing. Everything was quoted before my husband sat down. Please do yourself and teeth the service of letting this man fix your tooth. Flawless and painless what more could you want.
