Bidding and buying was pretty good. Had to learn the little things, like you add 5 min after you bid on a item. I have won 3 bids.One item was a Deebot vacuum had no remote you need that to program. So we have to go online to order the remote. The vacuum was definitely used. We had to buy new brushes. We had to clean it. So beware of anything electronic.I ordered a ladder and a toaster oven they were great. Both look new. Everything I bought I feel I got a great deal.!

I gave a 3 stars because I have had mixed experiences, some pretty good and some not. Its an auction I get it, but sometimes things are misrepresented and then not honored. I got a barn door for example that stated new. It was not assembled, but in a sealed box. Several months later we put it together to find it only had half the door. I had to pull teeth to even get them to honor half my purchase price back for an item I had to throw away. I have gotten some good stuff too!! If you buy, read carefully, immediately check contents. In the case of the door, they only gave me 1 of the two boxes. I did open it, and it looked fine; But it wasnt fine. I personally, as a business owner would have refunded the whole thing, no matter how many months it had been. I even asked upon pick up, if they were sure this was the only box. Be careful which auctions you purchase from. The door was in Blue Springs.

My experience was very good. They recently started tacking on a 15% fee on top of your bids which wasnt there 6 months ago. Hence the loss of a star. Other than that its pretty much a standard bid site that varies in quality from vendor to vendor. Wholesale KC, which I won this particular bid from has had some excellent products and are very clear about their condition by and large.Overall Ive been happy with what My wife and I have purchased from this site and we watch it frequently throughout the week.

There was 1elder woman was rude she said in a very sarcastic attitude to the helpers Really for helping me. Cause this day I had no help when usually I do.. I asked the younger girl if there was a man that could help she was very nice and had helped. But politely told me please the next time bring help he has health problems and doesnt get paid to do that part of the work. I apologized. And felt bad. But all and all most of the people Ive been involved with are very nice and polite. .

I check Equip-Bid every week or two. After a recent knee replacement, I decided against community exercise (because of the Delta Variant raging in MO). I knew Id be able to go on Equip-Bid and find quality exercise equipment. Equip-Bid auctioneers list all pertinent information, so I was able to go online and check the value of items up for bid. I won the bid on a couple of pieces that I really wanted and let some others go. The good thing is I was able to find those. items and Ill bid again.

I only had interaction and business with the auction in Topeka, KS but it was great!! The girl that helped me to inspect and then to pick up later in the week was so helpful and accommodating and nice!! The whole process was simple and satisfying.

I really enjoy shopping on the auction sites. It is very fun when others are bidding too, it’s like a silent auction lol. There are a few individual action houses to be aware of. One of them is Envy action site in Kansas. They were so rude. And we’re telling me they were going to just pitch out my things or resale them. Very nasty text messages. I will not be going on their site again!!!!! I had forgotten to pickup. And that is how they handle this?? NO!

The auction website is excellent. My only complaint is that you can’t pay an invoice until every item in an auction is closed.Any problems I’ve had have been with the local auctioneer, not with the equip bid platform.Since we have to make appointments to pick up local auctions in Wichita, it’s a real problem when auctioneers have pick up times during the week, say from 3 to 5PM. Some auctioneers are flexible, but many are not.It’s also disappointing when items you bid on don’t work, or things look fine in the picture, but when you pick it up it’s broken.

The pickup from the online auction was easy. My lots were laying on the table ready to be wrapped. The auction staff were friendly checking off items from the invoice as I packed. Everything was organized and efficient. Will definitely do another auction with them!

I have been buying from Equip-Bid for about 10 years, I have bought equipment for my company, items for my home, tools, and a myriad of other items. I have never had a problem with receiving any items and can usually pick up the next day if local. Great group of people to work with and just about everything under the sun from the sellers.

I have had very good luck finding things i wanted on Equip-bid. The system is easy and I like picking up the items rather than waiting and waiting for something shipped to actually arrive. Descriptions of items are accurate and the key thing for me is to check where the pick up place is, is that convenient for me and the posted pick up times, does that work for me.

The sight is good but the 15% fee is a little steep when the cost of items gets above $1000. It would be convenient if that fee would be included when you make the bids.

Bidding & pick up was easy. Product, not so much. Purchased a serger that ended up costing over $200. Doesnt work because the upper and lower loopers are bent and cant pass each other. Pictures shows in box, looks like brand new. Must have been a return because it doesnt work. Expensive lesson but I wont buy anything else from Equip-Bid if it has working parts. I still have two other items that I havent opened up yet that have motors. I hope they arent duds too.

This is the best thing ever. I wished Id have known about these auctions when we were fixing our house. I bought a ceiling fan off the auction and even had remote, the only thing I found missing was a screw. The only item I have purchased that didnt work was a paper shredder and had I looked closer at the pictures, I would have known it was used.

They have lots of auctions and a lot of items, but they charge a really ridiculous fee, 15% on top of sales tax. So here in my county that totals 25% per auction win. So unless you happen to get something at a really really super low price the fees just don’t make it worth it

About half the transactions are good but when the bad ones come around the items that you receive are usually worthless. I recently made a golf bag purchase on Equip Bid through Palmer Woodrow Sales. The bag was described as appearing new, but upon picking it up there was nothing that appeared new about it. The bag was stained and faded, but worse than that smelled horribly of smoke. I had to leave it outside for 3 days due to the smell.Made contact with equip bid regarding the item misrepresentation and got one reply back that they would contact the Seller. Since then I havent heard anything from either companies. I get that most auctions are being sold as is where is but when you blatantly lie about the product and misrepresent in the description to drive the price up, then your just being a Crook.Unfortunately this isnt my first issue with some of the Wichita Sellers on Equip Bid but at least the other Seller refunded me for a completely destroyed item. It would be nice if Equip Bid would hold their Sellers to a higher standard and help stop this fraud of misrepresenting and lying about item condition.

Many different auction houses affiliated with this......some much better than others. Overall, once you figure out how accurate each of them describes items...and THAT is a process. You can make it work. Expect some disappointing results and use your own due diligence or you will windup with a trash can FULL of junk...remember that a large amount of the items are returns.....and are non working or in some degree of damage/disrepair. I’m an above average tinkerer an still have things that require fixing above the new value of the items. As well as some folks getting carried away with feeling like an auction is a competition.....bidding without thought about buyer premium and the actual price of the items in a retail store.

Overall, you can pick up items for much less than retail value. You do have to be careful though. Some items are damaged or dont work. Read the comments in the description of the items carefully. I have been going to the site in Vassar, KS and they guys there are great!

As in all on line auction sites you get what you pay for. Equip-Bid Auctions show pictures of the items and give you a rated description. If an item is cracked, broken or they are unsure of its working condition, they usually try their best to provide that information to you. I do recommend to go to a viewing and preview the items youre interested in, especially more expensive items you may want to bid on. That way you can see the item up close and inspect it. I have usually been very happy with the items I have purchased through the action process. I do tend to look up the item to see what it cost online or through a retail store so I know what my limit of my high bid should be. The auction companys I have used through Equip-Bid Auctions have been very reasonable to work with, easy to use the website, rules and procedures are stated clearly and pick up has been easy to schedule.

This pick up was at Grandview and if you arent familiar with it you may not know the right bay to go to but I was driving slowly by and the dock worker waived me over and took care of me promptly.

The auction went well, and as usual, Rachel and Jarrod were great to work with. I would recommend them to anyone wanting to do an on line auction.

Always a good experience at the Grandview location of Equip-Bid Auctions. They take the time to open up a box and take photos, and have the most accurate descriptions. Pick up was easy. I will buy from them many times in the future.

This is kind of hit or miss. I have some things that are great and others that are broken, or missing parts. Make sure you look at pictures and read the description before bidding. My last 3 purchases I threw in the trash. One was a trash can that had trash drippings all over it and the motion lid was broken. Selling someone’s trash?

I would not normally review in a negative way but since I have been a long time member/buyer and have had positive experience before I am being asked to review. I have been through the “telling friends and family” about the opportunity to purchase less than retail but my last 2 experiences have less than stellar results. Both shipment have been missing 100% of the hardware. I have been doing this long enough to know that inspection is key but with Covid restrictions I am relying on associates to confirm 6 metric bolts(not something you can go find at an ace hardware easily) and nuts are included. This is two times in a row where I have to find hardware for assembly.

I love how friendly, helpful and honest the KC Market House at the Blue Springs MO location is. They start at $1 bids. Out of all the locations I have been to, they are definitely the best. We never have to even get out of the car. They have it ready and load carefully. I am not complaining about any of the locations, but the KC market house in Blue Springs works really hard at doing an excellent job. There is not anything negative you could say about them.. They even gave us a little complimentary “thank you” goodie bag, with little candies and things for the holidays. This location definitely needs to be recognized.

I have bought a few things on Equip Bids over the last several months and have been happy with the quality of merchandise and the customer service I have had at the pick up locations. Only once did they not offer to load the item in my car. During the last pick up in Topeka (June 18th) not only did the gentleman take the item to my car but we had a very nice conversation as well. I have heard you have to check the item before you leave and my items have always been A+.

I have had very good experiences and have bought from 5 different locations around Kansas City. I have managed to replace nearly all my 1980 builder grade light fixtures in my house with up to date great pieces at a fraction of the cost of buying them new! I have saved SO much money through Equip-Bid!! I have not had any problems with any location employees and I can say the Blue Springs location staff is incredibly nice and helpful and they do such a great job of opening boxes and taking pictures of items so you are not worrying about purchasing lemons. I know if its a Blue Springs auction I feel more comfortable bidding higher because of the hard work they do of getting items out of the box and inspecting it. Some of the other locations do this too but I have not used all the locations yet. Overall I have gotten great items at great prices and had easy transactions.

The quality of items and accuracy of descriptions varies by retailer but overall I have had a good experience and gotten some great deals. Wholesale KC is my favorite retailer with very honest descriptions and pictures.

I was referred to Equip Bids by a friend. I am not sure whether to thank them or send them my invoices...I have bid on about a dozen different things in about 8-10 auctions. I have won 5 of my bids and have spent very little in regards to money. I have scored some excellent items such as a factory sealed Black Granite Double Mount Kitchen Sink for $90 off store price, along with a Crosley Bathroom Cabinet for only $7.59. Yes, you read that correctly, I paid LESS THAN $8 for a cabinet that retails for $349.95. I also got a beautiful Urn with 2 matching mini urns for my fathers ashes. Now I can have some with me, give some to my sisters & still be able to put a small urn on my step mothers grave so they will be together again. I also purchased a brand new pressure washer for my Fiancé. This site is very user friendly. You can check the things you have bid on to see where you stand, Equipbids will also send you an email when you have been outbid so you have the opportunity to up your bid if you wish or remove the item from your watch list. Purchasing is easy, you have a credit or debit card that is kept on file & the company will automatically charge it for you the morning AFTER the auction closes. Then all you need to do is schedule a time to pick up your item(s), show your paid invoice & that is it....Until the next time :) Love this site & totally recommend it!!!

I love buying from Wholesale Kansas City on Equip-bid. Bidding, payment and payment is easy. And the employees are very pleasant.

First time bidder and was not impressed with the product that I received. The description read that the commercial coffee maker that I was bidding on “appears new”. I thought that I would trust the description and bid anyway. Won the auction for a price of $61.00 plus expenses and taxes, picked up the product without any issues, get it home and plug it in…does not work. Called where I picked up the item and was told that since the box had been opened before the auction that it couldn’t be returned for a refund. This will be my first and last experience with Equip-bid. Lesson learned.

Great place to get discounted open-box & used items. Buyer beware though that some items are damaged, but most reputable sellers will disclose and even show photos of problems. In my experiences there are some shady sellers who DO NOT DISCLOSE DAMAGE, provide overly blurry photos, and sell nothing but broken parts-only useless junk (i.e. most sellers in the KC Downtown Underground Caves...) If you make it a habit to always look closely at the photos then you usually end up with decent products with nothing more than minor defects/missing parts. You eventually learn which sellers to steer away from when bidding on items. My only complaint about the auction site is Equip-Bid provides no way to offer a seller rating.

I registered with Equip-Bids years ago but only recently bid in a couple of auctions. Theyre good people with great customer service but a couple years behind on technology.They need a bidding app and they need more payment options like Google, Apple, PayPal etc.

I love bidding and buying stuff on Equip-Bid. I work out of town all week so I can only pick things up on Saturday which creates a challenge on which sales I can buy from, as only a few offer Saturday pick up, depends when the sales end.The sales I have bought from have all been great the staff is always helpful and friendly.

I like the Equip-Bid Auction online system. It seems to work well in my experiences so far. The pick up system worked fine on this, my first purchase. I was satisfied with the purchases themselves. The only reason I dont give a five star rating is for this one reason. I think the premiums should be paid by the seller and not the buyer. I had forgot about this and it was quite a shock to see 15% added to my invoice at the completion. I have participated in auctions for decades both buying and selling and I prefer the premium be paid as the seller.
