I am rating Allied First Bank 5 stars because of the service provided by Jessica Quigley. She was personable, professional, responsive, knowledgeable and invested in my best interests. From the first call I had an immediate rapport with Jessica. She was focused on delivering the highest level of customer service, addressed every question I had, from the smallest to the greatest, and gave me the impression that she always had time for me. Jessica is a true asset to Allied First Bank. She looked out for me regarding the interest rates, and advised me in such a way that I could make an informed decision. She is good PR for small banks, and I would recommend Jessica anytime. I am happy with my choice to work with Jessica.

I had a terrible experience with Sawyer. I was told not to pay my June payment over and over when I started the process in May. He assured me over and over that it would close before the end of the month and that it wouldnt effect my credit. In the middle of the process my father passed away and I wanted to wait until I was in a better state of mind. Instead of understanding be pressured the process, made me send a cashiers check (it was suppose to be zero money out of pocket and under different circumstances I would have been smart enough to remember that) and then it didnt close until the 5th of July, the original mortgage reported the late payment tanking my credit score and now no one at allied will answer to help me!

This will be my third time refinancing. The first two I went through my mortgage company, went smoothly and problem free. This time was completely atrocious. The agent I dealt with, well just call him Ryan. This had to be his first time servicing one of these. From the beginning I had to submit the paperwork three to four times, was constantly told I would be contacted to discuss the paperwork and how the process was going, IT NEVER HAPPENED. Was told my closing date would be the 15th of the month so save my mortgage payment for the closing costs. Ended up being put off until the 25th of the month . My $1800 closing costs payment turned into $2600, and I was notified of this on the 24th. Ryan told me that he would be discussing the closing paperwork with me, IT NEVER HAPPENED, He would be sending the paperwork explaining why my $1800 turned into $2600, IT NEVER HAPPENED .In short the person I worked with WAS COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT AND HAD NO CARE FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE .YOUVE BEEN WARNED!!!

Please do the research before picking a mortgage lender. This lender is terrible with customer service. I decided to cancel with them and go with another lender. They charged me for a home inspection, which I have cancelled so the service was never completed. They continue to hold my money and not give me a refund after a month of them saying they were refunding me. Bad business practices here. Dont trust them at all.

Nick Wheeler that is who made it great, the hard work of himself and his team was amazing, and i had a challenging refi, but he made it happen.we have nothing but gratitude for his professionalism and dedication to us, he really made is feel like a good friend not just another customer.

I give this bank a five star, but I wish it could be more. I’m assuming I had the dream team of mortgages on my side. Adam L., Chris J., and Jenna L., were terrific. I was given great information in the beginning process of the application. After a couple of months in I was told I needed more than initially explained. The process was blamed on my state not allowing certain things and my current mortgage company would not release needed funds to pay for closing. I kept being informed a certain amount was all I needed until closing time and then stated I needed more money which I did not have. Secondly, I was late in paying my monthly payment on the advise of the loan officer and Allied bank would cover the late fees. After all is said and done. I was left with wasted time, late fees and no other solution granted by Allied Bank.

I wanted to share my experiences with Allied First Credit Union. I stumbled onto Allied many years ago while living in CA, it has been a blessing. I always use a loan office named Richard Pratt. Man, he is good at his job. Honest to the core and a super nice man. I have used Richard so many times we struck up a friendship. What I truly like about Richard is his honesty and professionalism. If I could secure a better loan he wouldnt pursue me like most loan offices. Richard would actually review my other loan and tell me he couldnt beat their numbers, who does that in todays environment. If your searching for a home loan, refinancing called Allied and ask for Richard Pratt. You will not be disappointed.

They are sending out mailers that mimic official VA/financial documents in an attempt to trick and scam vulnerable people. I will be taking ever Avenue I can to get the word out. I am so sick of these companies preying on vulnerable people.-To people who feel like this isn’t enough to dissuade you from doing business, other places exist that DONT do this and have the same or even lower rates. Spend the extra ten minutes and find one. And tell the employees why they lost your business.-To the employees that work here. Other options exist. Get out of this toxic environment.

This is literally the worst service Ive ever received. Been trying to refinance a loan with this company for about 5 months now. Worst communication and follow through ever....I would have been better off refinancing through McDonalds. Also, my loan officer Kyle Digiorgio is the worst communicator. Weeks on end of radio silence. If I could give zero stars instead of 1, I certainly would. Highly do not recommend working with this company or this person.....

BEWARE! THEY ARE SCAMMERS!They have sent me dozens of mailers, all made to look like letter from the city/county/state.They are just a bank trying to scam people into borrowing against the equity in their home.

Best bank ever. (This is the only bank with whom I have ever dealt that I could write a review like this.) Excellent service, wonderful people and anything you need at your fingertips. Incredibly helpful from wherever you are in the world.

Do not use Allied, at first they seem like a positive company. I used them to lower my interest rate on my mortgage. At closing, they did not send the funds on time, did not send the correct amount and after resending the correct amount my payment was considered LATE! This put a late payment on my credit score. I received collection calls during this time, it was not a good feeling at all! When closing was over I expressed my concerns, gave them the address to the mortgage company to send a letter so they wouldn’t hit my credit score. It was ignored, 6 months later I wanted to do a refinance and was turned because I had a late payment on my credit report. When I contacted Allied he, Brad Cohen, said he would work on getting this removed, takes about 2 weeks. 3 months later still not fixed! Total of 9 months and they haven’t done anything. I worked with Brad Cohen from the beginning, shop elsewhere. I have gone to BBB and will continue to hit every social media until this is fixed. Good Companies don’t let this happen!

FRAUD ALERT! This is a scam company. They constantly send a letter looks like coming from government and saying that you have that much money in your reserves so if you call them they’ll give it to you. Basically they’re trying to refinance your existing mortgage.

Very easy process for refinance. Helped a newbie navigate the VA IRRRL process.

A Representative from your company called me trying to get my mortgage payment lower. When I told them politely that I was not interested in hearing about any offers they were very rude and replied with “fine overpay all that money”. First off it’s my money and I’ll spend it any way I would like and if I don’t want to hear about any offers then i shouldn’t be given an attitude when I say no. I’ll never do business with this company because of how one representative treated me.

This is a horrible company. I got a letter in the mail to refinance my home. I called and talked to a Wesley Goodman. He sent a notary to my house the next day . I filled out some papers for the loan application and gave him a copy of my ID and some other stuff. Then I called the Loan officer Wesley because I haven’t heard anything and he told me it’s going through the underwriters that no news is good news. Well I waited a couple days. I called the loan officer no answer. I emailed him no answer. I got no copy’s of the papers I signed he was suppose to email them to me. Now I’m getting scared that I got scammed and didn’t sign a loan application. I called the the place and was told their manager over the loan officers would call me. No one has called me and I just want to cancel everything and be done with these people but no one will help me.

I have spent nearly 4 weeks trying to get our property taxes corrected all due to their incompetence and unwillingness to actually do their jobs. Targeting veterans is always a classy move. **Update** I have now received 6 identical letters in the course of a few weeks and can consistently look forward to one every Thursday.

I sold my home to a buyer who used this company. They could not meet deadlines. We had issues with gifted money that was not approved properly. They failed to review this issue until the NIGHT BEFORE closing. Then it took the a full 7 days to get the paper work to the escrow company. Dah! its your job to have all of this done prior to closing.

Everyone at the bank went above and beyond in helping me thru the PPP loan process in order to help my small business thru this Corona pandemic. Ken Bertrand was especially supportive and communicated constantly during my application. Very unprofessional and would not recommend going thru ANY business transaction with this Bank. My loan officer Casey (Cassandra Ramey) Rosales started my refinance with my credit score over 700, an easy peasy loan you would think. Casey had many times over promised and under delivered the close date and kept saying I could skip 2 month mortgage payments. This was not true and would put my credit in jeopardy. She missed the close date/lock date and the lender changed guidelines due to current economy causing me to provide 6 months reserves and additional documentation which would be another 3 weeks to wait. I asked if an exception could be made on additional documentation due to the broken promises of this closing on time and no reply. I then called Caseys boss Ken Holmstrom to explain my experience and see if any exception can be made he said he would call me back that day and never heard from him! Later that day I did received emails and texts from Casey very upset, unprofessional towards me that I called her boss and stating she was taking herself off my loan and making statements she could Decline my loan! I was physically upset and unsure what was happening with my approval with no responses from Casey after this. I then get an email days later from the Operations manager Tami that she is now taking my loan over. My Original confidential personal documents Casey picked up for the loan over a month prior she never returned as you should with anyones personal information. Tami stated she had fed ex them to me and it was lost so now MY CREDIT is in jeopardy due to this Bank. Closing finally comes and Tami states it is $100 fee to do remote closing so I drive to the closing to save $100 to find out this is NOT TRUE it has and always been in the set title fees per the title manager Chris. I am still waiting on my $100 that was supposed to have been UPS back to me last week from Tami. I referred a VA loan and a $3M loan to Casey and this is how I am treated as a customer. The experience has been not anything I would recommend to anyone to do business with this Bank. I have contacted the Banks upper management with no response. I will proceed to file my compliant within the banking regulations and NMLS.

I am a small business owner and needed a Payroll Protection Plan loan from SBA and my current bank couldnt help me. The whole team was so helpful and speedy. My first contact was with Ken and then Mary set up my business checking account and notified me when I had missing documentation. Gus worked on my PPP loan and Tina finalized the loan and notified me when it came through. All of them worked together as a team and I was able to open a checking account and get the PPP within 3 days. That was so amazing in this time of quarantine and understaffing. I was so impressed and am grateful.

My sons bank account was hacked and went round and round with management who did NOTHING to help us! We reported it and then they strung it along and said we didnt do anything so basically my 18 year old son who worked all summer for college is out of $1500! We choose this bank as it was in our town and thought they were involved with students in the district on programs, etc. Well, all I know is my student was douped out of a large sum of money and they kept pointing fingers at us! Go to another better known bank where you can escalate issues!Update: My son just pulled his money out of this bank which had been frozen while he was in college due to ongoing issues and closed his account. No apologies or anything - just basically half the money he worked for all last summer gone for college. We filed a police report, etc. and did all we could to reconcile this and all we were was blamed for the theft! What the heck??? May need to still consider filing a complaint with the BBB especially after reading some of the other reviews!David and Christine Bielawski

I got approved for a veterans reduction loan on October 15th! Michael Balzano told me my rate would be 3.375 but when I signed the paper work it said 3.5 but he said that would change at closing! Well here I am January 4th 2020 almost 80 days into the process and we still haven’t closed! If your a veteran I highly encourage you to steer clear of this bank and this loan manager!

Got a letter in the mail, talked to representative MIKE KROWSKI for a around 45 minutes about an FHA loan refinance. Felt pressured for him to make the sale. Called back the next day to let him know of the change of heart and Ill be going a different direction. Mike IMMEDIATELY became IRATE and started yelling into the phone. NOT A GOOD COMPANY TO DEAL WITH! STAY FAR, FAR AWAY!

Another loan officer at a different company told us we had one loan option, which wouldnt have allowed us the house we wanted. We were thrilled when we found Jeff Johannessen at Allied First Bank, that helped with other loan options. Jeff went above and beyond keeping us and all the agents fully informed through the entire process. We are now home owners of the house we wanted! We would highly recommend Jeff to our friends and family!

I recently had a loan officer contact me with the opportunity to refinance. I really wasnt looking to refinance as of yet, but wanted to get some basic information. The loan officer Cassandra said she would send me some information, but instead she pulled my credit without my authorization and submitted an application on my behalf! Due to the fact that my scores werent where they should be, I never heard back from her. I contacted her by phone about a week later and was told that she would send me a couple of options to refinance to review. I NEVER got anything from her, nor did she respond to any of my follow-up emails! I will never go to this company again!

Craig Dowling is the best! I have successfully closed two loans with Craig and he always makes you feel like a personal friend, even though we have never met! I appreciate having the kind of relationship where you can talk and share even though it is a business relationship. He doesnt make you feel like a number and always responds to any emails or calls quickly. I have worked with other companies who made you feel like they were doing you a favor by talking to you even though you are the customer! I would highly recommend Craig for your loan or refinance! Because of him, Allied will always be my first choice! I have never met his processor Ashley Roberts either but I know that she is working hard too behind the scenes to close the loans efficiently. Craig Dowling was really friendly and easy to talk to when helping me with my refinancing loan. Ive spoken to many reps in the same business as him and he was by far the best. A review worth reviewing.If you are wondering, should this be an option among the other options, the answer is yes. Communication was great. Questions were answered right away.The process between communication and paperwork could be a tad better from the beginning to the very end with no changes (unless they are improvements of course). Other than that, if they dont know they ask.

For months now they have sent us letters, sometimes as many as four in a week, advertising that we switch our mortgage over to them. At first I just threw the letters away but then we were getting so many it was ridiculous. So I called and spoke to them. I asked them nicely to remove us from their mailing list. I was told they would. That was over a month ago. As of today we are STILL getting 2 to 4 letters a week but now we are getting them from other banks and companies as well as ones from Allied First so my mail box is flooded with offers we dont want. I cant return to sender on any of them because neither Allied First nor these other companies can be bothered to put a return address on their envelopes.

The VA IRRL mortgage refinance from Allied First Bank took about 6 weeks, but that was with one holiday, so I think that is probably average. I was updated on the progress of the loan at least weekly via emails and if I had any questions or concerns, the staff would spend whatever time it took to clarify the issue to my satisfaction. I can definitely state that the staff I dealt with were very professional, patient and straight forward - all the way through. I would have to say that I was very pleased with the service and would gladly refer them to anyone.

This company deserves a negative rating. They are sending deceptive and predatory solictations to not only veterans, but senior citizens! SHAME ON YOU!!! The solicitations are designed to look official but are mere trickery to lure unsuspecting people in. Nowhere on the soliciation does it say they are offering a mortgage loan, only that you may access your Equity Reserves. I wonder how many they have duped into a less favorable situation? They NEED TO BE STOPPED! This is dispicable!!

Craig is absolutely awesome at his job! In addition to helping my husband and I get through the mortgage process, Craig was always there to answer questions and guide us along the way. He also watched the market and let us know when we were able to get a better interest rate!
