We were visiting Oshkosh from out of town when our Subaru Forester started making a really odd scraping sound--it sounded as though the bumper had come off and was scraping on the road. When we checked there was nothing under the car but we decided to get it checked out anyway. We found Auto Authority and its glowing Google reviews online, and they were open and were kind enough to try and fit us in that day or the next.When we arrived they asked lots of questions to get a sense of the problem, and then said that they would try to fit us in that day since we were from out of town and needed it back ASAP. We took their courtesy shuttle home (such a great service to have!) and then were delighted to get a call from them just a couple hours later.When we got back to the shop they said they had taken it out for a good long drive and checked everything under the hood and could not find the source of the problem. They said it was safe to drive and was probably a one-off event, and they didnt even charge us for the appointment! We certainly tested our car again with an 11-hour drive and all is well, as they said. We highly recommend Auto Authority to anyone needing help with their car in Oshkosh.

I have been to many places across the fox valley to get my car service. After seeing the good reviews on auto authority I figured I would give them a try. They did a complete inspection of my car and sent me a detailed view of this with pictures before preceding to fix anything. This allowed for full transparency and the ability to see with my own eyes the certain things that needed fixing. After my vehicle was done, I was not able to go pick it up so they delivered it to me. I am blown away by how great this place is. Not to mention, everyone I interacted with throughout the process was VERY friendly. That is rare for car repair shops. I would recommend them to anyone.

By far THE best car repair experience I have EVER had! I brought my perfectly running car into a different shop for a tune up and new tires and battery and have had nothing but problems ever since. The check engine light came on the day after they finished (and $2500 later). After the 3rd time of bringing it back to them to address the issue that kept causing the light to come back on, I was told there was nothing more they could do and that I would have to bring it to the dealership. The dealership told me it would need extensive repairs, including replacing the cam shaft and gears for another $4500+. I had no idea what to do. My wonderful husband saw my exasperation, took over, and found Auto Authority. I have thanked him so many times since. They actually took the time to TROUBLESHOOT what was wrong with my car (past simply plugging it into the computer and ordering the most expensive solution like the dealer did). Then, they actually explained what the options were to fix the problems using diagrams to help me understand. I ended up saving thousands of dollars on this one repair alone and having my hope restored in humanity! Every person that works here has shown nothing but kindness and patience with us and I will definitely be driving the extra distance to patronize Auto Authority for all my future auto maintenance and repair needs.

Initially took our truck in for new tires. The tech did a complete check on the truck and noticed we were close to an oil change and called my husband to ask if he would like it done while it was in. Was hearing some “odd” sounds from the front driver wheel area, was worried about what it could be. Took truck in by the guys and they put it on a lift and took it for a quick ride. Gave me an honest eval saying that everything looked good and safe and didn’t try to leave a little doubt about something needing repair. That’s why I trust them!

This was my second opinion for my exhaust that was way too loud. He gave more details about my car and had a slightly better price $100ish cheaper. Replaced a rusty old part in my exhaust and a few sensors. Would go to again

Great customer service! I took my car to Tires Plus before hand and they tried to charge me $5k in recommended service and refused to do the alignment I had already paid for before doing the alignment. So instead I came to Auto Authority for a second opinion. They did an inspection on my car before doing the alignment too. They said everything was in good condition and did the alignment with no problems. I super appreciate them not giving me the run around trying to take advantage of people. On top of that they gave me a ride to and from home while they worked on my car so I wouldnt have to wait there. Lastly they were willing you give a military discount and a bunch of freebies for being a new customer!

So many times single women (me included) feel as though we are taken advantage of when having our car repaired especially when you know so little about the actual functions of the engine. I was unsure what was causing my car to sputter and act like it was going to stall out but they guys and gals not only did a thorough inspection, they kept me informed. They told me there were several codes but then told me what were the most important repairs. They never made it seem as though if I didnt repair something that it would be inadequate. They informed me of the item(s) that were necessary and which ones would be able to wait. I felt completely confident in their ability to get me up and running so I could start my new job. They were honest with their billing and it actually ended up costing less than what they originally quoted me (almost unheard of these days)! During the pandemic they had all the necessary safety precautions in place. They picked up and dropped off my car for me at my home and when I got into drive it I could actually smell the disinfectant. Brian (who I spoke to most frequently) and everyone I had contact with were friendly, listened to my concerns and did everything they could to ease my anxiety about having my car repaired along with being quick with the repairs to accommodate my circumstances. I was 100% satisfied and will definitely return to have the additional repairs done along with routine maintenance or any time I run into car issues!!! I called and got in right away. I had an oil change & tire rotation and it was completed within the specified time frame. They also offer to give you a ride if you need it, but Im within walking distance. I trust Auto Authority to do a good job and I use them for my business vehicles. Thanks for a great job again!

Came in for a power steering diagnosis. Guy tells me theyll include a free inspection. I told my car is lowered and it may not get up in hoist, guy said they have the equipment and can make it work, i said ok. Called back later to check up, they told me they cant get my car onto the hoist to do the free inspection, then goes on tells me they CAN do it, but theyll charge me more for it. If you say you can do it then do it. Overall got the power steering diagnosis done, business seems shady. Will not come again. I came here cuz of the 4.9 rating, did not meet expectations.Forgot to mention they never put the plastic parts back that covered my electric power steering unit. Left it laying in my car.

I think the service and staff are great. The prices of services are on the high end. Synthetic oil change $86, is higher than other places in town. A patch and plug on one tire $34. 3stars only because of high prices.

My husband was having trouble with a clicking sound in the front drivers side quarter panel with right turns and particularly up or down a driveway on his truck. We took it to our local dealer (thinking it might be covered under warranty yet) and they couldnt find anything. We ended up going to Auto Authority for our oil change (which we would do anyway) and had them check into the sound. Auto Authority was PROACTIVE in checking for service bulletins for our year, make and model of vehicle. As a result, they ended up acting on a service bulletin which resolved the issue. Plus, my hubby says the truck is just driving better overall. Thanks Auto Authority!!!!

They were polite, friendly and didnt try to upsell me. In fact, they performed tests and made sure th services I requested were necessary and would verify/address my concerns.

Auto authority worked hard to get my car done within my work hours. I live out of town and they were able to drive me to and from work and get my car working by the end of my workday. They also worked with my warranty company to get most of it covered. Very grateful.

I have been having trouble with my car, and I had heard this was a trusted place to go. They came and picked my car up at my job and picked me up after work, which was really nice. Its the transmission. They said theyd called Ford, and there are no warranties. Along with the other things they said I need--new battery, etc.--it was going to be about $5800. I took the car to the small dealership where I bought it, which I should have done to begin with, thinking to trade it in. They called Ford, and there actually is a warranty on the transmission. I have an appointment next week. As for the other issues, apparently, the battery is fine. The windshield washer switch is good--its the washer pump that needs replacing. Both ball joints are loose, not just one. My new out-of-pocket estimate for fixing the car is about $600. Yesterday Auto Authority refunded me the $200 inspection fee. Thank you!

AA quickly diagnosed the oil leak location dripping onto the hot brakes and corrected the problem.

They diagnosed a VERY tricky intermittent problem Ive had for about a year. A big dealer told me they couldnt find the problem after throwing some parts at it. Brian and his team were very polite, friendly and knowledgeable. I was able to order tires and have them installed in a day at an affordable price. This included a complete vehicle safety inspection, which I wasnt aware was included. I would highly recommend Auto Authority for tire sales and installation. And they offer shuttle service, if needed.

It’s not often that I write a review, much less a review that is like this,To say I am more than pleased with Auto Authority would be a gross understatement. I have never been more pleased with the service I received for a major repair than I was today. I received an estimate for the work and was fully prepared to pay that and maybe even a little more due to the challenges that were involved, but was astounded when I was presented with a bill that was a full 1/3 less than the estimate! They explained what they were able to do that reduced the bill and I was more than pleased! I commend the crew at Auto Authority for their honesty. Recently I needed to get my truck looked at because it was leaking coolant. This was just a few days before Thanksgiving and the other shops that I called simply said they were booked full. Auto Authority was booked to, but they said to bring in my truck anyways. Adding more work because they new I was out of commission meant a lot to me. It was nice that they were willing to take on extra work to help a new customer out. Everyone that I talked to at the shop was knowledgeable and extremely friendly. They didnt try adding on a bunch of other minor repairs either, like most places do. Overall it was an exceptional experience.

I would highly recommend using Auto Authority as your primary repair shop and oil change center. They are reliable, trustworthy, and knowledgeable. Customer service is fantastic with very reasonable prices.
