This school actually teaches your children about respect, self discipline, and self defense.The activites and self defense is great exercise and an excellent workout for your children. Love this karate school. My son looks fwd to going every week. Staff and Instructors are great, and really care. They take the time with each student for as few minutes and also group instruction. They have 2 beginners one on one classes to help ease any newbie before attending group class. They really have a great system and set up. Clean, safe, and honest. This KaratebSchool has been in the Ormond community for many years and when you come you understand why. Thanks so much for all you do.

My son started Martial Arts at Stan Lee’s a year ago, and the change I have seen in him over this last year is outstanding. When my son started the after school program he didn’t have many friends. My son was diagnosed with Asperger’s and Social Anxiety.My son never walked himself to class, as he was to afraid and large crowds intimidated in him. In November of last year my son had enough courage to finally walk himself to class alone, and has been doing it ever since. I know this may not seem like a big deal but for us it’s huge. This program has built my sons self confidence. He is so much happier and has the courage to talk to people and make friends. This was the first year, on my sons first day of school and his last year of elementary that he got out of my car and walked by himself. It was a bittersweet moment for me but one that I cherish because I know if it wasn’t for this program and all of the amazing staff here at Stan Lee’s my son wouldn’t have been able to do this. I thank all of you so much for your patience and kindness over this last year. This was the best decision I could have ever made for my son. It was truly life changing.

My kids came from another karate place. They learned more in a week here than they did in 10 weeks at the other place. Mr. Stan and his whole team has been amazing. They have helped my youngest who has special needs feel included and just as accomplished as the other kids.

My Son has been to different Summer Camp and After School programs and has never really liked any of them but since starting Stan Lee’s Ormond Beach Martial Arts He loves it and continues training at home . Best martial arts school in volusia!

I was introduced to Stan Lees United Martial Arts through the Mayors Health & Fitness Challenge.I wasnt sure what to expect but I signed up for the 12 week Fitness Kickboxing class. It was one of the toughest things Ive done but also one of the most rewarding. It is a 45 minute full body workout and a cardio class like no other!!The kickboxing bags have an electronic scoring system where your score is displayed on a TV screen. It was a lot of fun competing against your classmates while also trying to beat your own score each round!Stan Lee is a true professional and has many years of experience teaching children and adults. It was an awesome experience and I highly recommend his studio!!

A fantastic school, well rounded caters to all ages. Not only do they teach a great curriculum of Martial Arts but also teach self respect and self-discipline, and are concerned about their students grades throughout the school year and their activities outside of the Martial arts Studio. Mr. Stan and Mrs. Sara truly care about their students, I would highly recommend this place for your children and for yourself.

At Stan Lees UMA not only are we part of something extremely beneficial for personal growth and fitness goals, were having fun and making lasting friendships. Our son Blake has been going to Stan’s over 3 yrs now and we wouldn’t have him anywhere else! He had been to a couple other places locally for summer camps in past and he can hands down tell you Stans blows these places out of the water! Stan Lees Martial arts is a great, SAFE environment for the kids. I depend on them to teach my son the techniques he should have to prepared in life. If I have any problems, I can go to them for guidance and help. Its a great place for kids to go to learn martial arts and develop structure as they grow. Mr Stan lee, Sara and their team are awesome. My daughter has been attending their night program,after school program and day camps for almost 2 years now and my family and i have not been let down. She has learned so much and has grown into just a fine young lady for a six years old.Her self confidence is amazing. The best part is she is learning how to protect her self in this crazy world we live in. Mr Stan does not just hand out belts to his students they must earn each strip and each belt. The decision to bring my son to the after school program here yielded more positive results than I expected. The owners + staff are always friendly and authentic. The curriculum expands well beyond martial arts and goes into character building and all around good citizenship. I feel a sense of community and belonging when I come in. Whats more, my son loves it and has grown a great deal since beginning. He respects his teachers and what they say to him. It takes a village to raise kids and this is the perfect place to find that.

After less than two months of Adult Kickboxing, I went to a small dinner party in a straight, knit dress I could never have pulled off wearing before this class. Why should my 4th-year karate-student daughter have all the fun? I lost 7 lbs and gained muscle tone. I rely on chiropractic help about half as often thanks to the payoff I was after: stronger back muscles.This timed (circuit), competitive training using sensor technology on freestanding bags - instead of hitting people or kicking air - is just what I needed to enjoy working out again.

What an incredible place. I can tell you from the moment I walked into this establishment, i knew it was the place I wanted my child attending after school. All of these positive reviews are correct. Not only is your child diciplined in a healthy manner, but they are also loved. Mr Stan and his wife are the bees knees and I would recommend this place to anyone. We feel welcome. We feel secure. We feel open to address any concern, though i have yet to have one. I look foward to my younger children attending here after school as well as they grow. Having recently moved to the area I wanted to find a Martial Arts Facility for my two small children ages 7 and 9. My son started out taking lessons in the evening--he loved it and my husband and I loved it so much we opted to put him in the after school program. The lessons are more than just about karate moves--they involve the proper time and place to use a martial arts move. I can recall my son being tested to get his next belt and he didnt get it because even though he know how to do the move he was unable to express the correct time, place and consequences of the move he demonstrated--which is all part of being a well rounded martial arts student. My son re tested and once he met the complete qualifications he got his next belt because he earned it.Students who go through Stan Lees United Martial Arts are going to learn the moves, the right ways to use the move and the consequences, as well as learning values like integrity, respect, self control--there is a different theme each month that is reinforced.As to the after school program, I like the structure. Kids are picked up, have their snack time and game time with Miss EB, have homework time with Miss Kim, and of course their lesson time with Mr. Stan. Miss Sara is always available to answer questions and jump in whenever and where ever she is needed. And you can just tell how much she loves her kids. Everyone at Stan Lee United Martial Arts loves the kids they have been entrusted with and treats them with a wonderful combination of tough love and respect.

Martial arts is something I was always interested in ever since I was little. As an adult, I was apprehensive to start as an adult in my twenties. But, it was the best decision I ever made. This is a very professional yet happy and fun environment. I am a school teacher and normally come home absolutelt wiped out. Yet, when I go to class, I immediately become energized. I have lost weight, gained confidence, and gained a new community of friends. The owners and staff are more than just instructors but become family. Coming to this gym is one of the best decisions I have ever made. I highly recommend to anyone of any age.

I have gotten my Black Belt under Stan Lee over 18 years ago while I was in grade school. I signed my daughter and I up for lessons, just to see how shed take to it. Its been such a good experience that she now attends their afterschool program plus an additional afternoon lesson. My son has been enrolled in Stan Lees UMA for a little over two years now. He is learning self discipline, confidence, and practical skills to defend himself. Other martial arts schools that we have attended or visited focused on solely form and repetition of traditional moves. The combination of arts that Mr. Lee has chosen to incorporate in his curriculum are practiced and applied in a format that encourages growth and builds true muscle memory. Most importantly, my son can actually defend himself if necessary, not just engage in traditional kata.

We tried 2 other martial arts schools before finding Mr. Stan. There is no comparison in terms of the quality of instruction and discipline that Stan provides. I wish we hadn’t wasted time elsewhere.

My 10 year old son is in the afterschool program as well as summer camp. He really enjoys it and doesnt even realize how much he is learning while having fun.
