The worst job ever look like old shutters all scratch etc pull out of a trash can, abusing of and old lady to go an install this things in her house and take her money. Worst company to trust. So sad still people with no respect and have this type of company. 😡

My Sale person was Giovanni, I didnt expect him to be so professional because he looked so young, (sorry for judging). He didnt install but he measure my windows, told me the price, and sent the invoice. No hidden cost.... We are happy.

US Discount Shutters and the entire staff deserve more than 5 Stars. From my first phone call to them, and even after the job is completed they are still courteous, warm, caring and helpful. I did the Accordion Shutter, Tyler was the first person I saw when he came to my house to get the information he needed in order for them to give me an estimate. He was so cheerful and delightful, we talk about the Accordion shutters what should go where and how many shutters I need. He took pictures and measurements that he needed, then email the invoice to me. I did several other appointments before US Discount shutters. After careful looking over the different invoices and speaking to everyone. Kurt captured me, he was willing to go above and beyond to make sure I understood whatever was bothering me. I asked for a copy of the drawing he email it to me right away, my husband is an engineer looked at the drawings then spoke to Kurt and was pleased . Kurt told us about the small windows ( peep holes) that they can make into the shutters blades, that would cost me more money. I asked, Kurt can I have two little windows on two separate area of the house as a gift? He said, he will speak to someone and get back to me. In no time he called me and said, Yes, you can have the two small windows and a double lock on one door. It was the Christmas Holiday Season and my shutters was put up on the house, I went home for the holiday. My house look so nice with these beautiful white Accordion shutters, I open them up to see my little windows I could not find them. I called the office leave a message, when the office opened after the holiday. Kurt called me and said, he was sorry the installers forget to take the two blades with the small windows. He said, dont worry it is an easy slip in and out job, but I was leaving the next day to another state for my work. The installers was very busy out into the field, Kurt leave the office came to my house put my little windows in. I was so happy. He went above and beyond for me, his customer to be satisfy. Kurt did also recommended I speaking to my insurance company about deduction for the shutters. I did, he paid for the inspection and I now submitted it to my insurance company. Tyler and Kurt are the most genuine wonderful people I have seen in a long time. Several of my neighbors in Florida wants Accordion Shutters form US Discount company and I am encouraging it. Good luck getting any issues resolved after install. I had window shutters installed 09/20 and they never scheduled the final inspection to close out my permit. The permit is now expired since its been so long. I have contacted them several times over the passed few months via phone and email to get the situation resolved, but now they no longer return my calls or reply to the emails.

Right off the top I’ve deducted a star only because communication and punctuality need improvement. That said, from start to finish the work these guys do is Grade A.I decided I wanted accordion shutters installed during the initial quote phase and US Discount Shutters worked with me to reach a price I could afford. They even added in regular shutters for two difficult transom windows at cost only. The quality of theIr products is outstanding and the work crew are absolutely devoted to their jobs and making everything right.Below are after photos of my house. My parents (don’t have social media) purchased hurricane shutters from this company early 2019. They installed half of them in almost a year later November of 2019. They are still waiting for the rest of the shutters to be installed, almost a year after the initial install of only half. I understand Covid has been tough, but they have been super patient with this company. They should not still be waiting on the rest of these shutters to be installed. If you don’t mind waiting 2 years for your product, this is your company.

I have no idea how they even got 3 stars. The salesperson is very picky and calls all the time harassing to make a sale. Once they get your $ they are no where to be found for questions/concerns. After my purchased I must of called 20 times and no one would call or email me back. Every time I called they said they would give the message immediately to the manager Kurt....never head back. They provide cheap plastics to cover the locks. In Florida heat, the plastics dry out and crack after a couple of months. What happens when they crack? Water gets into the locks and they get rusted. I had to change out some of the locks and ended up purchasing better lock covers on amazon but after all the money I spent for accordion hurricane shutters I should not have to spend one penny more. There is always an excuse when I call, the last time I called they informed me a couple of their installers quit and they are short staff. Plus the installers are not company employees, they contract out the work. US Discount Shutters are basically sales people only and dont know specific information about the product nor back it up once its installed. So much for warranty.

Horrible. I guess this is a true hit or miss and wonder how they stay in business. They were suppose to come and install and nothing, not even a phone call to apologize or nothing.I called back and “we’ll get back to you” and yeah, til this day nothing.

NO COMMUNICATION! I purchased shutters on 5/21/2020 and after calling a few times, the last week of July I was finally told they couldnt find the order. Then a day later they miraculously found the order and it would be shipped soon. Ive been following up constantly since and am getting runaround answers as to what is going on with my order but ZERO actual answers. Most of the time its radio silence. I call, I text, I email, and then I have to call again. Daily. And still I get nothing. No call backs, no responses, not even an Im working on it. Sounds completely shady because Im not exactly asking rocket science questions.I spent $6K on something that PER THE WEBSITE should take 20 business days for production and here we are almost 4 months later and I have NOTHING. No idea where these shutters are, or if they even exist and we are well into hurricane season. This business has basically stolen that money from me.It is ridiculous and completely unprofessional that I have called 5 times over the past 2 days and have either gotten voicemail or a receptionist who is going to write down my message and pass it on. I was told this order has been top priority since end of July but thats obviously not the case.I also find it rather telling that at least one of these reviews on Google is written by the manager I am supposed to be working with, Kurt Anthony. If your company cant get good reviews based on the product/service, maybe fix that before you just bombard Google with fake 5 star reviews.Update:The company refunded my money. But the one-star review still stands. I was treated with such disrespect and unprofessionalism from this company. With no other options, I reached out to the generic email address stating I had to assume my order was fraud as the company stole my money and went radio silent. I was responded to within 30 minutes...by the same manager I had been attempting to get in touch with for over 7 days. I received an unprofessionial, misspelled email saying the order would be cancelled and refunded. Throughout an email exchange, I received excuses that he was too busy to contact me when I had reached out - but when I said fraud I got an immediate response. I was blamed for being too demanding when I asked for shipping documentation and a same-day call back, both of which still hadnt happened 4 days later. I was then told the website I placed my order through wasnt supposed to be working. So when they found my order in July, they lied and said it would ship soon when they actually had only found the online order. The shutters were never manufactured prior to that time. Had they been honest about the issue, I would have been much more understanding - but instead I just kept getting fed lies and stalling responses when I asked for updates.They think refunding my money was a solution. Its the middle of hurricane season and I have to start from square one because they didnt want to even attempt to talk to me about where my shutters are (if they even existed), and how to get them to me. Yet I kept getting blamed for trying to hurt their company with my reviews. And one of the final notes in an email said well deal with the aftermath of the negative reviews. Please tell me how you are the victim in this situation.Do not go with this company if its a matter of your familys security and safety.

I would give zero stars. To say the least, we were not happy with the way this company treated us. And my goal is to provide insight on how we were treated so future potential customers can make their decision to either continue with this company or choose to go a different route. Our experience was over a 17 week span (May 21st – Sept. 17th).We shopped several companies to place our hurricane shutters with and chose this company because it was ‘door-to-door’ from production to delivery. So we ordered our shutters online through their ‘partner site’ and paid in full at the time of placing the order. Per the site, production takes 20 business days, and 5 business days to ship.Poor Communication: a receptionist would take our call, but we could never be transferred to anyone responsible for our order, we always had to leave a message. We NEVER received a call or a call back from the person responsible for our order. And I’m talking about the entire 17 weeks. When we finally did speak with someone who seemed to want to help (10 weeks since placing order), they could not give us any answers regarding our order. Then once again, phone calls were ignored, emails were ignored.After 17 weeks and no product, zero responses (patience exhausted), my wife and I took to writing reviews (Google/Yelp), filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and formed an email titled ‘Fraud’ to send to the company. It detailed the multiple attempts to reach the company via phone, emails, even text message, as we received a text message from the manager who clearly did not know who he was texting after we had another failed attempt to reach him.Poor Customer Service: Besides being ignored, once the company received our ‘Fraud’ email, we FINALLY received a response from the manager, 30 minutes after sending the email. We received multiple emails on this day, the first starting out completely unprofessional, then you could see the tone change as emails were sent back and forth.After 17 weeks (and well into hurricane season) the company’s response was that they were canceling our order and refunding our money. They told us that it was clear our goal was to hurt the company with negative reviews and basically told my wife she was too demanding and needed answers ASAP and when that didn’t happen we started to write negative reviews. Consider how you would feel being told this by the manager who NEVER returned a call, and our first attempt to discuss our order was on June 4th.We never, in all our attempts to reach this company, requested a refund. And their response was to cancel our order. Doesn’t make any sense. I wouldn’t be here writing this review if this company tried the slightest bit to rectify the situation. Clearly they no longer wanted to work with us.Most importantly, one of the excuses regarding our order was that the ‘partner site’ wasn’t suppose to allow for online payments. This being told to us 17 weeks later after our credit card was charged. However, this site is still live and most likely still allowing people to place online orders (caribbeanhurricaneshutters.com).So my last bit of advice would be to not place an online order with this company. If you choose to use them, call first and see how well you’re treated.Update: we ordered through another company and will be receiving our shutters next week, within 3 weeks of placing order.

I had an appointment set for today at 10am. Because I had to work at 11am. Mr. Aaron Morison shows up at 11:17am. An hour an 17 min late. He never call he just left a note at the door saying he have 9 numbers. I really don’t now how this company works but is too bad. I did call him to the number he provide but he just gave me excuses over the phone. Don’t trust the punctuality of this company. Is not how they offer. Shame.
