We are locals who needed a place to stay for two months while our house was being renovated. This company really thought of everything for families with kids and pets. They helped us pick a property with great amenities and it was perfect for children. The location to Disney and all the fun stuff was great. I would definitely come again for a staycation or have family stay there when visiting.

The worst vacation rental experience! Our original booking was for 28 nights, we had to leave after just 8! We were told there was going to be a home inspection prior to our long stay, this was clearly not done or done very poorly or any of these issues would of been resolved before we had stepped into the house. The home was not clean, dust and trash swept behind the doors in the laundry room, various brown and yellow stains on all bedding and pillows, very sticky floors, and even a cockroach in the master bathroom. My family and I had to spend the entire first day of our trip cleaning the floors, washing the dishes, and washing all the bedding. The outside pool area and patio was filled with rat feces, and we even found a dead rat in the trees right next to the property, that the management company wouldnt deal with until we told them we found it dead. During our stay we found the hot water stopped working, when this issue was brought to the emergency help number provided, they told us its supposed to be like that, its cold in Florida, this is what happens. After some investigation I found that the water heater unit in the house was throwing an error code referring to the air filter needing to be cleaned. The management company told me that this was due to some external air filter not located inside the house. It is clear from the pictures provided that this filter hasnt been cleaned in months, and when the heater technician came to the house and pulled the heating elements out of the unit, he said it was the most disgusting thing he has seen so far. The management company fought me every single day, trying to cover themselves instead of helping the customer. To top things off, they repeatedly kept contacting me through Airbnb about issues with different properties, sending me pictures about the wrong properties. We had to get Airbnb support involved for them to start listening in the first place. I highly suggest you think twice before renting from any of their properties.

We booked the Union House at Compass Bay through VRBO. The unit was not vacuumed or mopped, you could see the previous guests’ wet feet from having came in from pool. They do not provide you garbage bags or dish soap. I check beds upon arrival to make sure there are no bed bugs or such things. One room had sheets completely covered in hair. The comforters are never washed, they had stains and were very old. My main issue was the hair on the pillows and sheets, I figured I’d just change the sheets and found replacement sheets in the closet, after struggling to put on a full size fitted sheet on a queen mattress I realized there was a huge yellow stain on it. At this point I had to contact Best Vacation people to come an fix this issue because I had already spent an hour out of my vacation getting this bed ready. The door was also a problem, it never worked, we used a key that I had to get a code for, they came to replace battery on door, it never worked. The garbage area was a horrible horrible mess, the “playground” was ridiculous and very dangerous. We left the house impeccable and the company rated us a 4 out of 5.. not sure why? Don’t care because I’ll never use VRBO or Best Vacation Home again, I’ll stick with AirBNB.

When initiating my reservations, Ms. Vivaldi worked hard to get the number of houses I needed. However, she told me the charter bus could come in and out of the property daily to pick us up and drop us off. Well, we had problems at the property. We had to be picked up and dropped off at the curb outside the gate. This was demeaning to my family. Ms. Carreiro was the last person to finalize our reservations and she made mistakes that I had to catch, up until the day we left for an 18-20 hr. trip to Orlando, FL. It was poor communication between TBVH and the property owners/HOA. The last lady we dealt with on the day we checked out seemed to not understand what was being said to her because all she could say was yes and shake her head. She stated she couldnt give us the HOA information. We will never use this company again and we will not recommend it to anyone. Hotels are easier to deal with, they dont lie about bus parking, and they are cheaper.
