I absolutely love Lawn Starter! Ever since I moved away and didnt know anyone to do my yard its been a big help. I can set everything up on the online and its super easy and trustworthy.

I was scheduled for Bi-weekly nows and all was going good until my crew became sick.I completely understood why they needed to reschedule until the next week. However, that was not going to work for me as my lawn would be completely overgrown.I asked the company to reassign a crew and they were scheduled to come out 2 days later. The fill in crew has never shown up and has rescheduled 3 times. At this point, they have rescheduled themselves a day after my regular Bi-weekly crew was supposed to come!Now my Bi-weekly crew has rescheduled again. So even though 2 different crews have been assigned to do my yard work for a week, no one has come.My property is now completely overgrown and I assure you they would still charge me a tall grass fee if they still had my business!

Do not have Chris as your crew leader. He will charge a long grass fee without notice! I have been a customer for over a year with no issues. I am blind and in a fixed income. I can’t afford more than monthly service. Chris skipped mowing from being sick. I understood then 2 months later charged me a long grass fee of $38 when u skipped a mowing. He said it was policy. Terrible customer service. Then said he would drop me when I asked for a refund

This crew did an excellent job. The previous two providers kept rescheduling me so my yard was a mess. Needless to say this crew came in and got my yard looking awesome again. Thank you so much to Nicholas!!!

I have been using lawn starter for a few months now and they are amazing. I get notified when they are on their way and when they are done. I never have to worry about my lawn care again!

I had property damage done by “Kimberlys” crew who refuse to acknowledge the damage. I’ve now been back and forth with lawn starter for two weeks, only to get the run around about fixing the damage. I’ve never been so disgusted. I work on the road weeks on end and come home to a disaster. At least the grass was cut I guess ;)

I cant tell if this service is legit. I signed up a month ago, and the first crew they assigned cancelled 3 times making excuses why. The service was very quick to find me a new crew, only to have the new crew even worse. The guy from the crew had no common sense and couldnt figure out how to call from a gate to be let in. I noticed online people saying this service is a scam too

Mr. Roberts does a good job mowing, edging and blowing.

They dont have control over the subcontractors they sign up. You may get a good mow; but the Other Services that cost a LOT more money (Leaf Removal, Tree trimming, bush trimming, yard clean up, etc.) they offer those services; but they dont do the work. Then the APP demands that you take pictures to prove the work wasnt done. But they wont believe you, until they assign a different Crew to your premises to visually inspect. They give you a credit towards the new Crew, but its the same Merry-Go-Round. Just LIMIT them to mowing, if you can. Or go with some other local service. The APP works, the Yard Crews they assign to do work on your property dont do the work.

Very disappointed. We put our services on hold. They showed up with out an appointment scheduled and charged us a lawn mower fee after not using them for several months. They wont refund. And on top of that we have damaged plants, a fence and irrigation due to their mowing and they wont credit us for any of their carelessness.Horrible company. Would not recommend to anyone ever. They are very unprofessional. And to top it off we have now cancelled and they thought giving us a 30.00 credit would be suffice to cover all the damage. Yet they still charged us for a mow when we didnt authorize it or confirm it.

Customer service made it right, but I still have a lot of work ahead of me.Lawnstarter sent a crew out to my house to do cleanups that included bagging the clippings. The crew came out and offered a price, which I asked if they could do a rush service and they increased the original quoted price by $20. Im fine with paying extra for rush service.The cleanup was supposed to be cleanup to the edge of the property line with bagging of the clippings. However, due to rain and lightning the lawn technician had to stop early. Im okay with this because safety is important and you shouldnt mow wet grass.However, 2 days passed and no one returned to finish the job; then I received notification that my lawncare service had been completed with only 2/3 the back yard done and none of the clippings bagged. I was advised that a crew would be dispatched the next day to fix and they opened a fix ticket.The crew came out and it looks like they cut it, but they didnt bag the clippings. I raked the clippings into clumps for bagging and in the process realized that there are chunks of grass that had simply been matted to the ground and not touched at all.Had I realized that the results would be this bad then I would have invested $50 into a good scythe then cut and bag the grass myself.

This company is very scary! They will postpone service at will, I asked for service from July 1st, they postponed service at will 3 times and didnt provide service until July 25th and asked me to pay $195 for long grass but actually charged my credit card $246, this is a completely discredited company, dont fall for it!

This is one of the worst services in Oviedo. I’ve had multiple crews either fail to show up or claim they mowed my lawn when they in fact did not and still charged me as if they had. If you are looking for lawn service or marinate in the Oviedo area PLEASE look else where. Would give zero stars if possible.

It is not actually a lawn service rather they match your lawn care needs/location with a local lawn care service in their network. So basically they handle all the marketing, billing, collections, and customer service for a fee while a local lawn service company that Lawnstarter vets provides the actual service. That said, I have been very pleased. They matched me up with a great provider. They show and do the job as agreed then I pay the bill/rate them online. I want to add there is a three cut minimum at an estimated price based on your property which can change based on the actual conditions (additional fees for tall grass, having to pick up in order to mow, etc). I have been charged as estimated and it is very reasonable I might add (I called several local competitors). It works seamless and I love the service.

LawnStarter. Hey everyone! I just wanted to warn you guys about the mowing company called LawnStarter. I picked this company because of the so called good reviews I saw on Nextdoor. I wouldnt recommend them from my experience. First I received a automated text at 7:54am saying that the lawn crew was on the way. Next I receive another text at 11:30am saying the lawn crew was on their way. Next I receive an email at 12pm saying unfortunately your lawn crew wont be able to service your property today. Then at 9:19pm I get a text saying please tell us how your lawn looks! Joe is patiently awaiting my feedback. They require you to pay in advance with a credit card or debit card but you wont be charged until 3 days later after the service is completed. They never showed up. So that seems very suspicious to me.

Ive used them for about a month and they are great. The app communicates when the crew is on the way and lets you rate each service visit. You are able to earn discount by sharing the links a couple times a month. I dont have to worry about billing and if and when i paid the crew because it is automatic.

I started my business with lawn starter about a month ago. The first cut was great. Then we got a new cutter about 3 weeks ago. The last time my lawn was cut was on September 3rd. We called Tony to reschedule because the lawn needed to be done ASAP (we live in a very strict hoa area). Our rescheduled date was for the 10th. On the 10th we called a few times to make sure they’re coming out and all day we got the run around, telling us they’re definitely coming no problem and still never showed. So we called again stressing how bad the lawn needs to be done and again rescheduled for today. It is now almost 8 o’clock and I was told they’re not coming by today. My lawn hasn’t been done in 2 weeks and instead of making us a priority, they completely ignored our business again. We will definitely be taking business elsewhere to someone more professional and who will get the job done we need/ on schedule.

This company is disgusting. They would charge me for mows when no one would even show up. I cancelled my service over a year ago and randomly was charged. I spent 45 minutes on the phone with customer service to basically be told they can’t refund me for the random charge. This is appalling and gross and I have to now change all my banking info

I was told that the lawn service was $19 per mow but have been charged for $40 each service for my tiny lawn. Naturally they dont have access to my initial phone call anymore. Not impressed, do not use this company.

Im a first time home owner and do not know much about lawn care, but Lawnstarter has kept my yard well manicured and clear of weeds. I request a quote through the app if I require services other than what I have receive on a reoccurring basis (cut grass, edging, etc.) They are not only affordable but reasonable with their quotes. Ive used them for a month now and plan to continue using them. Personally, theyve been excellent with my yard.

I dont typically believe in leaving bad reviews.... But the disrespect from this company after having my lawn ruined by a crew & property damage left me no choice. At first, I loved this app & the services, but after being blown off about damage done to my property.... Im very disappointed. No accountability. The customer service rep claimed I can go replace my sewer cover myself because its not that expensive.... And that a $15 credit would cover it.... Pretty ridiculous customer service if you ask me. Disappointed. On the hunt for a REAL lawn care service.

They did an awesome job for what they had to work with.

Had used 2 different crews neither knew how to weed wack around a fence so the grass would not grow up the fence. When I mentioned it they wacked so close to the ground the grass is all dead. The last time Marias team was scheduled to mow never bothered to show up. I would think twice before hiring them.

This company was great when they first started. Ever since they got more main stream they have been horrible.They tell you they will be there on time. They dont. You advise them a week and a half in advance you need your lawn cut. They say they can get it done the day of the showing. Then arrive look at it. Ohh 1/4 acre sorry we cant do it we will do it another week an a half down the line. You have cut my area before so you knew the size. I advised I am selling the house and need it done that week. Then you turn around and say not today, change the date and leave without telling me?! You cant do it an re-change it to another date??This company has lost their heart and I do NOT recommend this company anymore. Smaller companies are more efficient and more reliable. Do NOT trust them

Dont think they charge $ 40 for a service that was poorly done for just 5 min. they do not collect the grass they cut. they dont cut anything well. everything wrong! I cant pay $ 40 for something wrong. It is the first time that I have called a company for poor service. It is unfair that they charge and do not return the money if I do not like the service!

These guys do an AMAZING job on my yard every week! They cut the grass short like I like it, and the edging/trimming looks great! They even blow the leaves off the walkway up to my front porch which is fantastic! I recommend to ANYONE and EVERYONE!

LawnStarter is the best mowing service in Orlando! Hands down! Our yard was so overgrown...literally a years worth of growth in one corner. They did it no problem! We chose to have them come every two weeks. Second mow today and our yard looks better than it ever has! Not only do they do a wonderful job but they are always so cheerful and friendly. The lawn-care is great as long as you do not have to involve LawnStarter Customer Care. Customer care does respond quickly, but it seems like a cut and paste response, and they do not actually read your emails.To be frank, its easier dealing with a lawn care company that u can call directly. I have been bounced from my lawn-care crew, back to LawnStarter and back to lawn care crew. All this for a simple quote.

Incompetent. Do not hire this service.This service only had a simple task of cutting our lawn and shutting our backyard gate after they were finished, unfortunately this was too much to ask for. Constantly leaving our back gate open so anyone off the streets could just enter. Also had two occasions where our dog ran out because our gate was left open by the service. This you would think would be a simple issue to rectify but once contacting the service it was clear that management didn’t have the proper customer service skills and the courage to even talk to us. Twice we were blown off by the “supervisor” and left to talk to some young girl whose job clearly was to just keep people on hold and constantly say the supervisor will contact you. (Which the supervisor never did)I’m not so much outraged but more disappointed by their service. Especially since both me and my wife both come from families who once owned lawn business’ and always made sure that after a property was taken care of, everything was locked up and secure. Common sense.Word to the wise. Avoid this company.

If the trash cans are on the lawn, theyll move them. If your car is in the way, they let you know. They dont just cut around it and half-do their job. Their service is reliable every week (or bi-week) and the most affordable. I definitely recommend!

I was calling a few places for estimates for my new home. These folks had a hard sale pitch, average pricing, and they were the 1st place I called. I took the time to shop around, but these guys kept calling and calling; they were incredibly pushy. So, I asked them to take my number out of their data listing and not to call me back...but it did not stop. I had to block their number simply because of the harassment and the aggravation to my anxiety. Worse than used car salesmen...eek!

The lawn was mowed as promised. The work performed by Shedrick was neat, the edging was precise. I also requested additional landscaping (fallen leaves to be raked up) which was affordable and done as promised. The leaves were bagged and neatly placed at curbside . I would totally recommend this company to anyone looking for fast, dependable, affordable lawn services.

EDIT: A refund has been approved at this time, but not until after I pushed.See below:Let me first state that I have had a crew from Lawnstarter that has mowed and edged my yard with satisfaction. HOWEVER, this review is about their SERVICE, their SUPPORT and their MANAGEMENT of my issue. I had booked their LAWN TREATMENT service. When I booked it, I received confirmation on their app that the first treatment would occur between May 4 and May 21. Seemed like a long window, but ok. On May 25 my lawn was still untreated. I sent a message through the app- the only way to communicate with them. I stated that I was disappointed that my treatment had not occurred and I was doubting moving forward with the service. I received an e-mail back telling me that it would be looked into. On May 27 I still had not received follow up, so I messaged again. At that time stating I was not longer interested in the service. I was messaged back that they were looking into it. On May 31st I e-mailed again asking for confirmation of my cancellation. I received an apology and a confirmation of my cancellation. On June 11 I was charged the full price for a treatment. I messaged the company again stating that I had cancelled the service and wanted a refund of my money. Lawnstarter support replied that my lawn was treated on MAY 29 and my CONFIRMATION occurred on May 31, so no refund, but future treatments were cancelled. I followed up stating that this was not satisfactory, and May 29th was not in the window I was presented AND no one proactively communicated about this. If there had been proper and timely communication this could have been avoided. I am still without refund, or satisfactory resolution of my issue.

I’ve been with them for at least 6 months and they had to change lawn cutters twice. Why? Because they hire idiots and lazy people. My grass is so long you can’t even see my 100lbs dog. I can’t even pick up their poop because it’s hidden.I’ve called, been put on hold, and then sent to voicemail. No call back. I’ve messaged the lawn guy no response. So today I get an email saying they are giving me another guy. I’m so annoyed. Once I find another lawn company I will be cancelling my services that I don’t even get.I understand weather has not been great but that’s why it was rescheduled and they never came!I pay them once they cut the grass so it’s not like it’s my fault. My gates are unlocked, i picked up their poops, and toys. I make sure they are not in the yard when they are suppose to come.The only good thing is the app. It’s easy to use and you can skip cuts 48hrs in advance.My advice: it’s a hit or miss depending who services your area. My area is 32824. Good luck!

Super convenient and well designed app makes everything really easy! Ive never actually seen the person who mows my lawn, Robby, but he does a great job! Very reasonably priced as well. When you first sign up allow at least two weeks for someone to get over there and mow your lawn. The sign up process must take a while because they want a consistent, familiar crew to mow your location. After that though its super consistent and you can go by the dates they give you in the app. Thanks for everything!
