If I could give 6 stars I would! I am a high school student and am proud to say I went to get help. And there’s not a better place to go than Blomquist Hale. Justin is the best counselor and I highly recommend him because he cares so much about helping you while also caring about a lot of other things in your life. He makes you feel welcomed and has the best advice. I highly recommend using this place and ending the stigma surrounding mental health, it’s okay to get help! This is the place to go
Condescending and neurotic.Caryl Ward sees everything through the lens of EMDR, which is less effective than TF-CBT. Shes more than happy to be condescending and suggest that tapping your face will solve all your problems. Not a fan.
Staff is helpful and kind- they have a way of making you feel seen and heard, and like you arent alone in this world. Therapist is attentive at helping address problems and issues without offending or making me uncomfortable. Very satisfied with service thus far.
The staff is always friendly and helpful. Justin Olsen is great at making you feel relaxed and comfortable. He doesn’t just give advice, he helps you work through the problem to come to a solution. If you need help, I highly recommend Justin.
My main source of help here stems from the life experience of my therapist and learning from them. They taught me lots of life lessons that help me greatly when I apply them.
Some crisis intervention. They can only see you every two weeks, if that. Not helpful at all. Ive seen two therapists at this place. One tried to grandma hug me better 🤮 And the other can give a list of analogies, but not much more. Thanks but no thanks. Seriously, very disappointed.
The anxiety course was extremely helpful and informative. Really recommend these services to any and everyone. Thank you!
Working with Blomquist Hale (BH) has been fantastic. Just as a gym has a lot of tools for physical health, BH has a bunch of great tools for mental health. Id recommend their services to anyone who is going through stress, anxiety or anything else thats keeping you from living your life to its fullest. Their staff is super easy to talk to, their free videos on youtube are great, and their workshops are awesome. 100% recommended.
Jack was the therapist for my son! He connected with him and really understood that nothing would change if he didn’t find the right way to communicate. He taught him great coping skills in ways kids understand. I was nervous about this experience but this was one of the best things we did for our son! I would recommend Jack and Blomquist.
Everyone is very nice but if you are seeking professional help that listens before they diagnose, you will not find that here. The therapists seem very eager to slap a band-aid on the problem and give general counsel that is hit or miss. I have gone three times and all three times (with two different therapists) the therapist talked more than me and did not get a clear picture of what the problem was and what was affected me as an individual.Unfortunately although it is affordable, it is not helpful. This is the third therapy office I have been to and it is the least effective I have expeirenced. Would not recommend unless you are in crisis mode or you like to be counseled rather than have a discussion.UPDATE 9-15-19 The owner contacted me and was extremely understanding and respectful of my experience. His attitude is one of improvement and humility. I believe they are trying to do good things at this company. I may return to try again.
Treated me like a problem, not a person. Nice people but are just there for the money, not for actually listening to you and helping you through what YOU know is going on in your life.
My son and I met with Robyn during a very difficult phase of my sons life. I felt that Id exhausted all my parenting tools and that there was nothing left I could do to help him. Robyn listened carefully, evaluated his situation thoroughly, and gave me the exact tools I needed to support him in making the changes he had to make. She was honestly a godsend: kind, compassionate, intelligent, and so so helpful.
The therapist I meet with is absolutely amazing! She is so warm and welcome, caring, and very helpful. The front office staff is friendly and very helpful. I appreciate their kindness and service.
Not to go into my personal issues, but I finally had enough and used an employee assistance program to get an appointment here. I spoke with a therapist about 4 times and then she told me that she wasnt going to see me anymore. I never really got a clear answer as to why. Fast forward about 5 months and Im back where I was mentally and my only affordable option is Blomquist Hale. I felt like it was helping a little bit to talk to someone that was an unbiased third party and was a little surprised when I was told that I was done. There was nothing quantifiable regarding my treatment and whether or not I had been helped. Just a casual statement that I shouldnt get another appointment. Maybe I misunderstand therapy. I envision it as going to see someone weekly (or more if needed) and seeing them until YOU feel like youre over your issues, or have learned to handle them better.
I have been going here for about 8 or 10 months and Holly has helped me tremendously. I personally feel like I am not a severe case thats why theyre able to help me. They will recognize if they are unable to treat/help you, they are social workers, not pyschologists. And if they are able to help you, then its amazing! My friend with severe depression and anxiety was unable to receive help here but she definitley needs heavier treatment and to be medicated by a pysch doc so for people putting a bad review its probably because they dont realise or cant accept that they need more extensive treatment than what is offered here. I love Blomquist!
Based on my recent visit to this office, I am convinced that this office falls low on the spectrum of mental health advisement/counseling. Their working model of depression seems very outdated, and their methods old-fashioned. They are eager to share their own narratives of success, but I am not confident this office can help with any but the most straightforward cases. I recognize the difficulty patients face in seeking professional help, and worry that their experience here will discourage them from seeking help in the future.I got the impression during my visit that this office appears to favor a rigid philosophy of accountability of the depressed person. Unfortunately, it seemed to mean they are ready to place the blame on the patient for shortcomings in their recovery, and dismiss certain real barriers preventing the patient from progressing as unjustifiable excuses. I speculate this could result in patients being expected to follow rigid one-size-fits-all processes, patients receiving little sympathy for their condition and/or struggles, and low tolerance for delays in recovery. If you seek help from this location, I strongly recommend that you ask questions to find out if they can meet your expectations of treatment.
I went 3 different times that needed help, never got any. Got told not to come back!
