I’m wondering if all the negative reviews for Candy are actually from the receptionist lady in the front. She does come off a little rude, but that’s just how she is I think. Anyway Candy is the sweetest lady ever and Dr. Harris has been amazing helping me figure out my depression meds and with my son as well. If you are thinking Family doctor vs a psychologist, I cannot stress enough, go see the one who specializes in this stuff. And I definitely recommend Dr. Harris.

I have been seeing Dr. Harris for my ADHD for almost two years now. I prefer to see a DO psychiatrist over a MD psychiatrist because they are much more patient oriented versus med-management. What I mean by this is that my med-management appointments dont just feel like a necessary formality, they feel more like a therapy session. Dr. Harris always asks me insightful questions and we have an engaging conversation about my life and my ADHD each time I meet with him. He takes the time to discuss my life in a way that truly evaluates the efficacy of my medication and my overall well-being. He remembers little details about my life and takes interest in all areas of my life, not just those impacted by my ADHD, which I greatly appreciate. I feel seen as a whole person by Dr. Harris, and not just as a diagnosis.If youre struggling with ADHD Dr. Harris is an excellent choice! Before COVID I would commute from Sugar House to see Dr. Harris, and will continue to do so if insurance ever decides to stop virtual appointments.A few additional details about his practice:1. He is an approved provider through Intermountain Healthcare;2. He accepts SelectHealth;3. He accepts credit cards; and4. He offers a sliding-scale for uninsured patients.Obviously things can change so you should confirm these details with Dr. Harris and your insurance provider, but I know that these details can be helpful in determining whether or not to even pick up the phone so I am including them.

Dr. Harris is honestly the best psychiatrist I have ever met with. He is attentive, caring, and truly wants to help. He remembers every detail you share and really helps you work through things and helps you understand what and why you are feeling what you do. I do not ever want to go to anyone else!!

I love Dr Harris. He always listens and has made a big difference in my life. He knew exactly what I needed and prescribed the right medication to make life so much easier. I have needed this for years.

I am not sure what all the negative reviews are about. Candy, Dr. Harris wife, has been nothing but nice and accommodating to me. I have been going to Dr. Harris for over a year and a half. Dr. Harris is very kind, knowledgable, and patient with you. Dont listen to the haters. Dr. Harris is great! Great for ADHD stuff and much more knowledgable than most psychiatrists I have been to!

Ive been seeing Dr. Harris for over 5 years. He is warm and welcoming. I always feel at ease when I go into his office. Yes, I know that he reads my file before I go in but still, when he asks about things weve talked about previously, I feel like he really cares to hear the answers. He wants to make sure the medication Im on works for me. His wife Candy is fantastic to put it mildly. Shes always so amazing to be with in person but she returns calls when the office is closed, she makes calls to the pharmacy on my behalf and has even called me when they have been on vacation. I highly recommend Dr. Harris office.

I have nothing but great things to say about Candy & Dr Harris! He has been wonderful to work with & when I have needed to reach him quickly or after hours, Candy is always on top of things & gets things taken care of!

I have been to many psychiatrists and Dr. Harris is by far the best. I have been seeing him for approximately 2 years and I have always felt like I was in good care, and my mental health is the very best its ever been. He is very good at working with medications to make sure I am on the best possible for my needs and lifestyle. He also has a wonderful, kind receptionist who has been great about returning calls and scheduling.

Dr. Harris is one of the most competent, knowledgeable, helpful, and genuinely trustworthy psychiatrists I have ever met. I have never felt like he has ever wasted my time.Anyone who says otherwise was likely either drug-seeking or wanted to abuse their medication and had multiple other psychiatrists they were getting drugs from. Dr. Harris will turn away patients who demonstrate that type of behavior unless the patient actually wants help (and is willing to comply with treatment and follow the law).But if you take your treatment seriously, hes outstanding and has helped me a lot.

Doctor Harris has been the best psychiatrist that Ive had by far. Hes great at keeping up on everything I need, hes funny and hes very helpful - gives great advice even with random life stuff. Hes been able to get me stable on medication and its been awesome.

Dr. Harris is very friendly and intelligent. He is up-to-date on recent medical studies. I feel validated and empathize with every time I go.

Dr. Harris seems too busy or not fully engaged enough to follow through with true patient care. He had three months in which to consult with my doctors at Mayo Clinic, as he is indicated he would like to do before my next appointent. But at my next visit, he had not even spoken to any doctors at the clinic. Instead, at check in, I was shown a large file from Mayo Clinic that Dr. Harris had not even looked at yet. It was apparent that he did not take my case seriously, as I confirmed with Mayo Clinic that my records had been sent to Dr. Harris over two months prior to my appointment-----plenty of time to be prepared to discuss Mayo Clinic doctors recommendations. But no action was taken by Dr. Harris. Needless to say, I considered it a waste of my time to stay. So I walked out and am going elsewhere to a doctor and staff that take their practice of medicine more seriously. I cannot in good conscience recommend Dr. Michael Harris to anyone.

Dr. Harris is an amazing physician. In my experience, he has a deep understanding of psychiatric conditions especially as they pertain to attention disorders. He does a great job of explaining diagnoses in a way that is relatable and easily understood.

We visit Dr. Harris for sons ADHD and have found him to be responsive, personable, and very competent psychiatrist. Would recommend.

Dr. Harris is a complete joke! Had been going to him for several months but couldnt stand it anymore. 1. Doesnt listen, tries to rush you in and out by talking over you or half listening to get more clients in 2. Wont prescribe things he doesnt like or certain mgs, even if itll benefit you. Save your money and go elsewhere.
