I have been taking my vehicles to Mitch for several years now. I have found him to be honest, and his prices are fair. The last car I took in was a rather difficult one, and he gave me several options for fixing it starting with the simple repairs and working up to the more complex repair possibilities. He listened to my preferences and communicated through every step of the process. He has continually earned my business.

I was trying to find someone who could squeeze me in last minute to do a pre-purchase vehicle inspection. I called and spoke with Mitch who was willing to make it happen. During the inspection Mitch noticed a wet transmission pan which turned out to be a leaky transmission pan and output shaft seal. My daughter took her car to mitch for a check engine light.She was told the valves needed adjustment. He made the adjustment.When she got the car back the valves were tapping very loud and the radio was not working. I took the car back in to re-adjust the valves.After being told the car was ready a friend of mine took me down to pick up the car from SLC. When we got there the car was not ready. The next day I got ANOTHER ride down from SLC. When we got there the valves were quieter but still louder than when she first took it in. He did fix the radio that HE BROKE but charged me for it! One month later the check engine light came back on! I put in a bottle of fuel treatment that I picked up from the DOLLAR store. 15-20 miles after putting in the $1.00 bottle of fuel treatment the light went off and has been off since. If you have daughters and love them I would not recommend or trust this guy to fix anything!Kim L. Olsen

Went in thinking that my alternator was out (the car had been dying a few days after every jump, and we had run some backyard tests on the battery and it seemed good). Mitchs Auto did an outstanding job for me! I was in Orem Utah from Chicago and the oil pump on my 1996 Dodge Ram went. I called many shops in the area not being from there and most of them did not want to help out or needed a week or longer to schedule me in. Mitchs was very responsive on the phone and agreed to look at the truck that Saturday to diagnose it and by Monday afternoon they replaced the oil pump and I was back on the road arriving in Chicago 1400 miles later on Tuesday night. They also helped fix one of my front head lights! In doing so they realized that one of my littler lights was out as well and fixed it for free! They are incredible down to earth guys who know their stuff! It was a little tricky to find their shop, but I would highly recommend them to anyone! :)

I called the shop at very last minute and asked if they could do a pre purchase inspection for me. Mitch was very nice and professional, he took me in last minute (: not only did he do the look over on the vehicle for me but took me to it and went over what he found. Having driven several cars over 300,000 miles each, Ive been through a few mechanics and found Mitch to be incredibly honest and willing to do everything he can to fit my budget and keep my cars working.He and one coworker at that original shop were the only ones I trusted with my cars and to my delight, Mitch hired that coworker to be his Nissan specialist. I just introduced my son to Mitch, when he acquired his first car and needed to make it roadworthy. I wouldnt trust anybody else!

We had always used Mitch but this time round it was not a good experience, he quoted us one price then ended up charging hundreds more for my missionary car that needed fixed. Car still sounds as if it is not running smooth hope it works . Just a bummer with thanksgiving around the corner a little warning on the price would have been nice.

Last Saturday when there was a blizzard I called this auto shop asking how much it would cost to replace my windshield motor. I asked if he would price match the labor I was quoted somewhere else and without hesitation he said yes. He then informed me that he was only open for a few more hours but if I got the car in that day he would find time to fix it. I took the car in 45 minutes before he closed and he stayed late to make sure I had my family vehicle for the weekend! I was soooo impressed with his professional manner and willingness to accommodate our needs. I have never been treated that promptly before at a mechanic. The pricing was also great and I appreciated that he didnt try and sell me on using his parts or even up sell me on anything. He did the work I asked him for a great price and the same day I needed it done. I recommend him to anyone who wants a great experience.

I called Mitch yesterday because the glass sunroof on my 4Runner shattered and the glass place I took it to couldnt get the bolts out. I took it there TWICE and they still couldnt get them to budge.Mitch told me to come by anytime and he would take a look at it so I brought it by right then. In 30 minutes he had all of the bolts out and gave me some advice on where to go to get the parts I needed to just fix it myself and save some money. He didnt even charge me. I still gave him some money, but I was extremely impressed. You have a customer for life, Mitch!

He is very cheap and very friendly. I got my brakes replaced by him and it took a very long time, but it wasnt their fault. The people that worked on my brakes before (Big O Tires) stripped some coils and bolts which needed to be rethreaded, so it took longer than usual. Recommend dropping it off and coming back later to get your car.

I had an issue with my car 150 miles from home, so I was stuck in Orem. I knew what was wrong with my car and after I explained it to Mitch he took it in. He not only agreed with what I had known but while fixing that he somehow managed to fix my a/c and chronic belt squeeling that I had asked other mechanics through the years to fix, but they never could... In reading some of the reviews one Man said he was slow, but he was thorough, not slow. He didnt just blindly remove some parts and put them back on, he examined and explained every bit off the process to me. Very satisfied. I know that when I need work done in Utah valley he is my Man. My old car runs better than I can remember in the last 5 years.

After being quoted $800.00 for 4 new brake pads and 4 new rotars from Meineke, I panicked. My husband and I are in college and expecting a baby in August. I decided to get some other quotes. Mitchs shop is behind my work and he helped me out a few months later with safety and emissions. I took my car to him and it turns out I didnt need new pads or rotars. Just two new brake hoses to help with steering. So happy I have found a mechanic I can trust. He could have easily told me what the other shop told me but he didnt. He was honest and is such a great guy! Recommend to everyone.

MITCH is a lazy, LIAR, LOSER. hell let your car sit for 3 days til you call him or go see him and then hell feel forced to work on it. Then hell complain for 3 hours about how everyone treats him so bad. SHUT DOWN MITCH AND GO BACK TO GEORGIA SO WE DONT HAVE TO LISTEN TO YOUR WHINING 8 YEAR OLD MOUTH. he needs to Fire Doc. Both are Liars, and Lazy Losers. I paid $500 for a brand new air conditioning system that DOES NOT EVEN WORK! He cant even DIAGNOSE it because its far to complicated for him. He actually ignored the factory actuator sticker on the refrigerant capacity and put in too much. First, he said its the Control panel.. NOPE! BOUGHT TWO, THE COMPRESSOR CLUTCH STILL DOES NOT ENGAGE. Then Second, he tells Doc to look at it because Doc knows electrical and Doc says its the ECM so, go get one from the wrecking yard so I drove up to Taylorsville because thats the closest place with one available. Then they inform me it wont work unless its reprogrammed. Another $130! So I did that. STILL MY A/C CLUTCH DOES NOT WORK! I DID ALL THAT BECAUSE I TRUSTED MITCH. BUT OF COURSE, HE LIED. Go see Mitchs Auto works IF you want to be LIED to, WASTE SEVERAL DAYS FOR NOTHING, AND THROW MONEY YOU DONT HAVE ON A,WORTHLESS MECHANICS ASSUMPTIONS. And Yes, my air conditioning compressor clutch STILL DOES NOT ENGAGE.

Ive had two repairs done by Mitchs Autoworks that I want to mention. The first was on my Mazda MPV when we got in a wreck. $14,000 worth of damage was done. The car was repaired, but there were still a few things not working right. I took it to Mitchs rather than back to the shop that repaired it because I trust him more and wanted him to check the previous repairs. He fixed a few things that the previous repair shop had not completely repaired, including a torn hose, and the Mazda ran PERFECTLY after this. Before his repairs, it would sometimes die and not start for no reason; after Mitch fixed it, that never happened again! The second repair was on a 1997 Toyota Camry. Mitchs Autoworks fixed broken rear struts. Two years later, the struts broke again. I had a son who purposely slid in the snow around a corner and so knocked the car into the curb very hard, and Im afraid he bent the frame of the car, or caused some damage which causes the rear right strut to keep failing. I called Mitch and he looked up the warranty; the struts had lifetime warranties, so he replaced the struts for the cost of labor only and got our Camry so it ran without knocks in the rear! I was impressed he had the paperwork to check the warranty of a 2-year-old repair on file. Another winning fix. Ive also had him do a mechanic check on a used car we were considering buying and he checked everything over, researched prices a little and gave me a detailed opinion of what he seriously thinks the car is worth and what I should offer for it. This was really helpful! We take our most complicated repairs to Mitchs Autoworks. We know he is honest and very good at what he does!
