Alberto Hernandez is my adjuster in charge. He isnt that good in keeping in touch or keeping his words. My accident was last December 2019. He called to let me know my deductible will be sent out next day which he hasnt confirmed or answer any of my message I left on May 12, 2020. Never sign up for pronto insurance, Stirling insurance. They never answer the phone. Customer service seems to have no ability to do anything but give excuses. The adjusters only talk to you when they want to and ignore you the test of the time. Checks for claims are as slow as molasses uphill in winter. They dont care that you their insured are out of a vehicle and the other party had no insurance, they will leave you to suffer and wait until they feel like doing the job our premiums pay them to do. Never again will I or anyone I know have insurance through them.. they are a sad joke of a company and should be forced to close their doors permanently. Department of Insurance has been given all the documentation and has started an investigation... maybe this time they can get them shut down!!!

Update...my claim with Sterling is now 7 months old and they are still unresponsive, despite my efforts to contact them over and over again. They have been dishonest and elusive, to say the least. I have now filed a complaint with the California Department of Insurance.
I give them no stars I cancel the ins after many years a collection mail came in I pay them $88 dollars or they put on my credit reportso tell everybody you now dont go with this people they keep changing there name h@h agents & dasher same people. Put them out of business
Dishonest as the day is long! Zero integrity, zero assistance… Their insured causes an accident and it’s been almost 90 days with no response despite daily phone calls. Excuse after excuse as to why they will not pay the most basic of claims. Stay away at all costs!
These MFs sent me to collections because i stopped paying my car insurance. That fine BUT, these greedy mastards sent 4 different accounts to the collection agency!! 3 accounts are from the same year and month!! They are charging me for a service i wasnt getting. If my last payment was Nov 1st, are they going to pay for an accident i had in December if they are charging me for December?? I dont think so! But back to the many many accounts i have pending already in collections!! Crazy!
I honestly wouldnt recommend this company just cause they love taking their time when something happens. Overall experience some of them actually helped while others didnt put much effort in but hey, you get what you pay for I guess. Found out later that I was paying more than what Im suppose to even pay, found a new company and saved me alot more plus road side services!

I am very upset with Tony who claimed to be the owner of the so called company. I called to add my new car to the insurance and was never told what the premium would be, then to be charged almost triple the amount . where is your communication skills Tony? I hope you are happy with you one month premium... Because I have found a more affordable insurance with a 5 Star rated company. I just pray that that nothing happens to my car this month... because I know it wont be covered. Your company is shady and it will go under. God doesnt like ugly!!!
Literally the worst company EVER. They never answer the phone. They never call back when they are supposed to. This company is here to collect people’s money and that’s it. They will charge you unnecessary fee’s without explaining. They are FRAUDS. I would never recommend anyone to get this so called “insurance coverage”. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy. I’m going to start a lawsuit immediately.
They charge you fees that you are not notified about. For example I just paid the amount due of 287 on their website but my bank is showing a debit of 293. No where on the site does it tell you this will happen, but its a cc fee. Its illegal to charge for something you havent notified the customer about.Most times when I try to call them I get a no mailbox recording. Ive had so much trouble making payments online or getting a hold of people.Avoid this company, & if you cant then send them checks & never, never go on Auto-pay!

I have been stranded at a body shop calling this company for 2 hours. My car was hit in April by one of their customers. They dodged my calls for months before finally approving my repairs and sending me a check for the wrong amount and now they won’t answer the phone.
My policy number is AFD 00570550. I cancelled my policy on June 29,2015 and received an email on June 30, 2015 confirm that my policy would be cancelled. Yet I was still billed on 7/9/2015 and have another charge processing as of 8/10/15.This company will continue to bill you after you cancel your policy. In addition they refuse to waive the $50 cancellation fee despite their error with the argument that I was agreed to the fee when I signed the contract. However, did they not agree to cancel my account and yet dishonored that? You would think that the original contract would include the insurance provider cancelling the account when instructed to do so without continuously billing me with no services provided. Why would I honor my side when they dont honor theirs?In addition to that they expect me to send in a copy of my bank statement with personal information (which is going to take up my time to block out sensitive info) so they can refund me. Who knows what these crooks will do with my personal information?This company is fraudulent and has no qualms about stealing money from your bank account after you cancel. In addition they also hung up twice on me when I called.At the very least I expect to be compensated for them taking money out of my account without my authorization. HNH Agency Trust aka Sterling Casualty Insurance seems to think they can take money out of my account without any repercussions and think that just cutting an expedited check will be enough.What makes you think giving me a check is enough? When a private person steals from a company or another individual they go to jail. You dont get off by just giving it back. What makes them think that refunding me the money is simply enough? They need to face legal repercussions, receive a government fine or compensate me monetarily. If I stole money from them do you think I could get away by just sending them a check? No; I would be sent to jail. These folks need a large government fine or get their business license revoked.

They are the absolute worst..I paid every monthly premium.;when i did have a car accident Sterling stalled for two months investigating my policy. Finnaly they denied my claim with nothing more than coverage issue.So now i have no transportation AND the other guy filed suit against me .Pay your premiums if you want, but you are doggie-styled if you have an accident.🤕
First of let me start by saying that this insurance company has horrible customer service, coverage and money hungry. I just saved tons of money by switching to geico. If I needed any assistance I had to call my broker who by the way is also a scum, to manage my policy. There online system also is BS it never works. Please be careful and look for insurance that will treat you like family.

This place will charge you fees without notice. i called to try and clear stuff up, but their answer is we cant do anything about it asked me if i wanted to speak to supervisor. same stuff.. we cant do nothing about it.. and they dont even explain to you why they charged you those fees for.... keep away from this scandalous ass company
I was hit by their “insured.” What a joke. They send you off by claiming that they will pay your claim and accept liability. Albert Hernandez is a joke! As is their entire company. If the issue isn’t resolved in 1-2 weeks, go straight to the better business bureau. Do NOT waste your time putting up with them.

This company is extremely unprofessional and unreliable, and in all honesty, I’m not even sure if the way they operate is legal. A Redwood tree fell on top of my car at my workplace on Monday, December 4th 2017, resulting in a total loss. I immediately contacted my insurance to file a claim, in addition to filing a police report. The insurance representative said an adjuster would be reaching out to me within 3 business days. I didn’t speak with the claims adjuster, Albert Hernandez, till several days later. He assured me a tow truck would be towing my car from my workplace, which is in a high-crime/poverty area in Sacramento, CA. It is not a safe location as I expressed to the adjuster. I called for 2 days straight to find out when they would be towing the vehicle and left at least 5 voicemails and he would not return my calls. By the 3rd day, my car had been completely vandalized - the gas tank was siphoned, the car was keyed on the driver side and hood of the car, and the license plates on the front and back were bent upward in attempts to be stolen. I continued to call the adjuster to have someone get the car and still no response. After they came and got the car, another week went by before he finally contacted me to let me know the status of the claim. He then gave me the settlement amount, and requested that I turn in any key that I have for the vehicle. The car was being financed and I still had a remaining balance on the loan owed to TD Auto Finance. Sterling Casualty determined the worth of my car, which was slightly more than what was owed. My policy incudes a $500 deductible, so that amount was also deducted from the settlement. Once the car was paid off to the loan company and the deductible was subtracted, that left me with an extremely small settlement. He said he would be sending me DMV paperwork that must be submitted to the DMV. In addition the paperwork, he requested I turn in any car key that I had. I acknowledged that I understood this information. Once hanging up, I realized he did not give me the address of where to send the keys to. I continued to call back for another week to get the address, and he would not return my calls. He finally returned my call and when I asked him what the status was of my settlement check, and he explained he would NOT be paying the money owed to on the car to the finance company, nor would cut me the check until I turned in the keys. I told him I could not have sent him the keys when he never provided an address to send them to. He argued with me by saying he did give me the address, but it was pointless. I then got the address to send in the key in which I had to pay UPS to send it. I could not expedite the shipping as it would have cost over $40 and I could not afford to do that due to the given situation. Albert stated that because they have not paid the loan on the car, the interest will continue to accrue – resulting in the settlement amount I receive, will decrease. I spoke with my auto finance company, who said they had NOT received a payoff on the loan and have not had NO CORRESPONDENCE or contact with Sterling Casualty for several weeks – while Albert had lied and told me he had been corresponding with them. I left several voicemails for the Claims Adjuster Supervisor WHO NEVER CALLED ME BACK DURING THE entire process, NOT EVEN ONE TIME – I AM STILL YET TO HERE FROM HIM OR HER – I HAVE NOT EVEN RECEIVED AN APOLOGY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE THEY’VE CAUSED. I have now switched to Geico, where I am receiving a better rate and better customer service. I have already filed a complaint with the Department of Insurance as well as the BBB – I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone – even if you’re on a budget, please do whatever you can to come up with the financial means for better coverage. You get what you pay for and it is definitely not worth the bargain with Dashers/H&H Agency/Sterling Casualty.
2 years after canceling my insurance and paying my bill I get a collection notice for a Cancellation fee and additional charges.No one interested that the car was sold or that I had proof of cancellation.Shady company with shady practicesno wonder they have to keep changing names
Phone tree ensures you dont speak to actual person. If you do know who to call, they cant transfer you. You have to hang up and call again. Customer service is not a priority.
Bullcrap insurance at its finest, the phone and mobile service they provide are absolutely bullshit, never work, my policy number can never be found, online system just takes me in a loop, even after a reset and new password they sent me, still doesnt work, customer service is also a joke, was told I will not be be cancelled and I have months to gather info needed, well guess what got a cancellation notice the next week! I will never go through them again. And will never recommend them to anyone. This is like the food bank of the Insurance world, crap crap crap
Worst experience EVER!I was in an accident and called immediately after exchanging info with the other driver. They had Wawanesa. The office was not yet open, okay, it was only 7-7:30AM fine. Once I had made my statement I was then called by the adjuster, I was not able to take to call since I was at work. I called back later that day, prior to 5PM PST and left a VM. I gave the adjuster from HH my info and the best time to call. He never called me again, I am still trying to get a hold of Otto the invisible adjuster. Ive left 3-4 messages now and responded to an email he sent after a week of not answering my calls, which he never replied to. In the meantime I was re-ended on the freeway (this was less than 2 wks after my first accident). I contacted the same adjuster, though of course it may not be assigned to him, to let him know that the car was in the shop. Still no response and he never took a look at my car.The new claim was handled a bit more swiftly, I was called shortly after making it by another adjuster. When I called this woman back SHE PICKED UP THE PHONE! And I am wowed. Upon making my statement WHILE THE RECORDING WAS GOING, this woman had the nerve to argue with me about my statement... My insurance company! I had given my statement to at least 3 other people and none of them felt the need to interrupt me and let me know that I was not making sense. Esmeralda, however, has not trouble letting me know how confusing my info was. She didnt understand that a car that was not involved in the crash was not part of the accident, just a witness. Seriously?!? Really?!? You work for the insurance company and you can not fathom that a car not struck at the time of the accident was not involved in the accident. Well this level of stupidity is lost on me. After all of this I let her know that I would need to grab this witness info (not involved in the collision, so we are all clear here). It took me about a minute, after which the snide Esmeralda let me know that if I didnt have the information available to just say so and skip the question. I began talking over this awful woman right in the middle of her sentence because SHUT THE HELL UP! By the end of this call I was resigned to the fact that I was going with another company, I will not be treated rudely by someone that I am paying to service me. I am incredibly disappointed and will never go for the bottom rung when choosing insurance, lesson learned. Their dirty dealings are worth me paying the other guys more. I was treated with respect and deference by AllState, probably who I will choose when switching. They were polite, speedy and understanding for the most part. One last thing, no one has ever heard of this company, not the collision center, the claims adjusters with the other agencies, not family, friends. Sandag, no one! This speaks volumes.

Stay away! Dont even think of signing up with them. I get a cancellation notice 3 or 4 times a year for bogus reasons. They notify my creditor on the car and I have to run through hoops to stop it. Then they charge me $15 for my inconvenience! They are awful!
Horrible company. Wouldnt pay after uninsured motorist hit me even though I have that coverage. For a whole year they didnt pay until I got the better business bureau involved. Then they jacked my rates from $67 a month to $75 even though it wasnt my fault. I should have changed companies then but was too lazy, my big mistake.Recently my car died so I bought a good used 2010 Pontiac Vibe and got a quote from AAA who are not known for bargain priced insurance. I told HH Agency to cancel my old policy and give me a quote for my recently purchased car. HH Agency was more than $20 a month more than AAA! So instead of staying with HH I canceled my policy and switched to AAA. Now, I get a letter from HH saying I have to pay $50 fee for early cancellation. Steer away from HH Agancy AKA Sterling Insurance.

This is the worse insurance experience Ive ever had. Do not allow them to automatically deduct funds from your account they will continue to remove money from your account even after your policy expires. They will not reimburse you for the full amount deducted and ever charge you a $50 cancellation fee. Extremely poor business practices!!
The worst ever customer service from Joush Turner.He has attitude never answers his phone (may be busy doing nothing ) Sterling insurer hit my BMW car and they are not working on paying for it.Their appraiser comes to my house and gives me an estimate of $900 and the body shop says $3500 plus.They refuse to pay and dont pay for my car rental (which allowance is decided by them for $25 a day)They are horrible and a nightmare.Not worth rating and never working with.
