The technician Zach, was very knowledgeable and kind. He took a lot of time explaining the importance of replacing my filter every 3 months and even spent the extra time showing me exactly how to replace the filter myself. I’ll definitely call him in the future for any questions or needs that come up.Also, the gal from customer service was very Informative keeping me up-to-date on my appointment and also working with my hectic schedule.As a team I give them 5 stars..Thanks for your great service
While Greenstar was doing routine maintenance on our A/C and heater, they damaged a portion of our attic walk up. They apologized immediately and said they would send someone out to fix it. It’s nearing 2 weeks since that happened. It’s difficult for me to trust this company with a bigger job when they lack follow through. I’ve called 4 times, scheduled two appointments and their technicians cancelled the day of after the appointments passed. With my current experience, I would not recommend this company to do anything.An edited response to the owner: I’ve tried to called 2 times last week and I did not get a call back. I tried to call the number listed below to reach Mark and I couldn’t get through then either. I’m beginning to think this company is giving me the run around.
DO NOT USE THESE GUYS. We paid over 10k for 2 AC splitters and they are already leaking. Its been a month since we contacted them to come and fixed them and until now we are still waiting. Their answering service is great but the responsiveness from the company is terrible! I am still trying to speak to a supervisor to discuss my issue and there is no way you can complain or speak to someone else besides the reception. Also, the technicians have no clue of appointments or what their schedule looks like.
I had Greenstar Home Services out to run a cable through my main drain for prevented maintenance. I made the appointment for Saturday morning and received a call early Saturday morning informing me that a job prior was taking longer then expected so I gladly rescheduled my service for the following Monday morning, being that my service wasnt an immediate need. The Plumber Eric F. arrived on time and was very professional with his appearance and communication. He took every precaution to ensure a safe work area and preformed the service as requested. He recommended that I should get a visual camera inspection of the main line since my home was built in the 50s. The Plumbing repair Specialist, Mark H. came and ran the camera in my main line and we did discover some minor cracks, but no root damaged, so no additional service was needed at this time. Mark was also very professional and explained exactly what I was seeing on the video screen as he was running the camera through the main line. I highly recommend everyone to reach out to Greenstar Home Services when you have a plumbing issue. I didnt use them for any HVAC services but Ill definitely be reaching out to them for their HVAC services, when needed, based on my positive experience with the plumbing.
Routine furnace maintenance was efficiently and expertly performed. Technician was extremely professional and courteous. We received a very pleasant call letting us know he would be arriving in about 15 minutes, at the early end of the projected time frame. Absolutely first rate service, as usual.

We needed to replace 6 units for HVAC indoor and repair 6 outdoor in our very large home. Job was done amazingly well and on time!!! Carlos did flawless install of 12 Google Nest products. He programmed everything and brought Nest thermostats in color finishes I wanted - copper, brass and satin stainless. I could not be happier! A little more than 7 years ago we purchased a Trane furnace from Greenstar and contracted for annual inspections. This years routine furnace inspection was to be our last. It has been running perfectly, so far. This year the tech arrived, he didnt come into the home, but asked me to turn on the furnace which I did. A while later I went to the garage and discovered the furnace had been taken apart, including the motor, fan, capacitor and hanging electrical components, and scattered on the garage floor. He had never asked me if we had any problems with the furnace. The tech picks up a capacitor and says that it needs to be replaced ($383) and the motor is leaking and it needs to be replaced ($1,100+), plus labor (total est $2,400+). He said it was not on warranty. I was not convinced. I told him to put it back together and Ill get another opinion. I went and retrieved my 10 year warranty record and showed him that it was still covered. I told him to talk to his boss. A little later he told me that it was under warranty but they werent going to do the work until it failed. I said that you just told me it needed to be replaced. He said that if it hadnt been taken care of the warranty would not apply. I said that Greenstar had installed it and taken care of it, dont you stand by your work? He said that they did. I said to talk to your boss. He came back from his truck and said that they would do the warranty work. They would order the parts, schedule a time to come and get the parts next week from my furnace and take them back to the shop for four hours and return to do the install. I was to pay four hours of labor at $208 per hour, total cost. I asked why not bring the parts when they came to do the work and just exchange them in one visit. He said thats not the way they do it. It had taken just a little over an hour to take mine apart and put it back together and they wanted four hours of labor ($832) to essentially do the same thing. I finally agreed thinking that at least Id have new parts (which he assured me they would be new). Then, he wanted me to pay the FULL labor right then and there. He agreed to 10% down.
I have used this Company twice now the last 2 months. Separate jobs. Once to repair a toilet and today, on a Sunday, to fully replace another bathroom toilet. Very professional, very strong. From first contact on phone, to tech visit/repairs, Exceptional Service. Same day or next day was offered. Todays visit by Daniel had tough spaces to work in, but he worked quickly, quietly, and efficiently, plus he only left for a moment to purchase a new toilet for me. VERY pleased customer here.
Zach, the young man who came out to do my air conditioning and heating maintenance was very professional, knowledgeable and he’s very personable young man.
Our heater went out just before Christmas. Our system was installed by Right Time and we had a maintenance contract with them. In the past, we had a lot of issues with Right Time technicians always trying to sell us more and more stuff instead of just focusing on doing the proper maintenance and/or fixing the problem as inexpensively as possible. Greenstar bought them out. Some of the technicians from Right Time were really nice but didnt know what they were doing. After several appointments, we finally had someone who came out who had always been with Greenstar, and he knew exactly what was wrong and was able to fix it without charging an outrageous amount of money. What a relief to finally have someone who knows what they are doing and do such a great job. Thank you, Luis Sotelo. You were a breath of fresh air and gave me hope that there are still good people out there who are great at their job and are not trying to rip off their customers. Our house is nice and toasty now for the winter. Thank you Luis Sotelo.

An AC installer employed by Greenstar working here today advises that he has not been vaccinated against Covid and doesnt believe in vaccination. The company should not be sending unvaccinated workers to customers homes. It isnt safe for the rest of us.

Booked central air/heat through Home Depot. Couldnt have been happier with the Greenstar sales team and install crew that came out. Did our whole system in two days and the work was awesome. They made sure we were happy with everything, explained the equipment and did a great job cleaning up each day.

So they came out and cleared my problem ( drain issue)which was great. The two guys were very nice and pleasant enough. They also did a free video inspection. I had some issues they pointed out as well. Here is my issue. They gave me a quote of 3 different jobs they could do, the lowest just repair enough to make it work, the middle price to add a few things ( replace 1 pipe) and the “ best” to dig and replace a pipe and fix the problems once and for all. The highest price was 20,000! 2nd price was 10,000 and 3rd option was 4500.00. So I got 3 more opinions because that seemed high. Each plumber I showed laughed and reassured me the prices were insane. The quotes were all about 60% cheaper than each category listed for the same work. Please get 3 quotes before using these guys! Thank God I followed my gut. Please do research on these guys first and get several other quotes. Even if you are in a panic because you have a back flow etc please look elsewhere. I know plumbing with digging is hard work but get multiple quotes.
I am impressed. They did what they said they would do, kept appointments and were totally professional in workmanship, attitude and manners. I first dealt with Luis who fully explained the various options and potential configurations. I decided the best thing to do was to replace the entire Heat Pump unit and air exchanger. There was no sales pressure at all; I knew the units were old, the coolant had been banded since 2010 and was gone, and to me it was not worth making attempts to repair. This was going to be a difficult job as the 4 ton unit was coming off the roof of our 4 storey condo, the new unit had to be installed there, with the balance of equipment to be installed on the third floor. The 2 installers (one was Michael) arrived the day they were scheduled and started in. Once they were there it was discovered there was a problem with the size of the air exchanger ordered that was going in the house; it was slightly too big, so they arranged to get the smaller dimension unit delivered that day. They worked on this project from 11:20am until 10:50pm to make sure everything was right with the instal that day. They didnt quit at 5pm, nor 6pm, instead they asked it they could continue working which was fine by me. Who ever heard of installers working that late to make sure you are satisfied and the physical instal is completed? The next day Louis returned in the morning to finalize the electrical wiring, and testing. Meanwhile I had already been called by the company to set and appointment for the state inspector to come a few days later. The quote was a little higher than another I had, but it was well worth it; you get what you pay for. Professional all the way meeting my requirements, everything beautify cleaned up by them, and they were very conscientious and respectful of our home. Great job, Im very pleased

The apartment that we managed needed a water heater asap. We received a quote from a plumbing company we had previously done business with n thought the price was on the high side. We then called Greenstar n was quoted a much reasonable price (both calls were made in the evening hrs).Greenstar sent Christian n Jose ( the two technicians we talked to the previous night- in person) the next day n completed the 100 gal water heater job, plus all new venting, pipes, tank expansion, straps, recirculating pump, n pulled the permit. They were professionals throughout the job. Every questions we asked were answered n clearly explained.They left the laundry spotless. They even wiped down the washer n dryer.Bottom line- great company n technicians!Id highly recommend this company.

Repaired air conditioning condenser motor efficiently
We were completely taken advantage of by Juan on a replacement of our water heater. The heater itself was covered by the manufacturer but labor was not so we called Greenstar we were charged $1,500 just for labor but were not told that the hot water pipe connected to the water heater was leaking so next day the water heater pan was filled with water because of the leak. The water heater should never have been installed until the leak was repaired. Another Plummer from another company came out to look and instantly saw the pipe leak and told us we were taken advantage of as the heater we replaced was brand new and more than likely not faulty because the leak was causing the water build up and not the water heater unit. Very disappointed that we were overcharged for something that didn’t need to be replaced and didn’t tell us or repair the actual issue.
Daniel was an amazing plumber, we have a very large home and he fixed multiple issues, coming back several times to fix new problems that would arise around the house. He was really responsive and explained everything in a way we could understand. He is also a great guy and extremely friendly, we appreciate all the work he did.

Every phase of the project when exactly as promised! The guys were knowledgeable and professional in every aspect of the installation. They answered all of our questions and concerns and explained what they were doing and why. When they were done all packing and debris was removed with no damage done to our house. And, most importantly, everything worked perfectly and without any adjustments needed.We could not be any happier!
Shambolic service. First they were coming, then they weren’t and cancelled at the last minute. They didn’t know what information they needed to actually be able to inspect the works, never mind repair the problem.

BEWARE!!! This company quoted me double the price of any other heating company for a wall heater replacement. The representative Tod did a “super” hard sell on me. He criticized all other heating companies in Los Angeles and said that 80 percent of them are “horrible”, he kept pushing me into a financing situation and finally, I agreed so that I would not have to pay off the entire amount at once. This was the only positive thing for me since I am a senior. The next day, the company which is supposed to be THE BEST (according to Tod), showed up 45 minutes late, and when I started to ask them several technical and key questions, they started to backtrack about the scope of the job, their technician said he was told to do something entirely not as complicated. I asked to speak to someone in a supervisory position and, after I asked several of my questions, the supervisor Tim Berry, suddenly In the middle of our conversation said they would not do the job because I did not trust them. I reminded him that we had a written agreement and he said I DON’T CARE!!!! It was obvious that they were going to cut corners, and I found out! Guess they thought I was just a stupid old lady who did not understand anything. Also, they did not provide me with a permit, and when I asked for a copy of the permit, they got scared and backed out of the job. They wasted two days for me. They are like a bad version of old car salesmen. Unfortunately, that is all they are because after they sell you their expensive service, they cannot even complete a job or even show up on time. Very arrogant group of men who treat a client (an elderly woman) as an idiot and at the end of the day, get scared and leave! So much for all their arrogance and salesmanship. A LOT OF ARROGANCE and NO RESULTS!!!! Don’t waste your money or time in these jerks!They answered me telling me this was their system of doing business. The truth is that the tech looked at the scope of work and they decided they did not want to do it! They lied to me and when I started asking them “technical” questions, they decided to just back out! There was no permit, no plan on their end! They are crooks!!!

We used Greenstar to install Nest IQ cameras and doorbells. It was done so well that I had them do my parents house as well. If you are lucky enough to work with Brian, this guy is downright amazing! First off, hes extremely talented and knows what hes doing. Second, just the nicest guy in the world. My kids call him Google Guy and followed him around everywhere. Brian is honest and trustworthy and passionate about his job. He took his time and didnt cut corners. Highly highly recommend him!

I paid up to have a job done right, I have holes in my ceiling, holes in my walls and an installation that looks somewhat amateur. Can not get anyone from Green Star to help or even call back. They are certified by Home depot to do installation. Ill be taking it up with Home depot but meanwhile I suggest a different installer.

Eddie is very professional and friendly. He wears protective booties when he goes into the house. He taught me about my AC unit, what the numbers mean, how And why I should maintain certain parts, and what I should be looking for when I see my ac unit. I had an insist trust with Eddie so when he showed me pictures of my rusted motor what I needed to replaced, I knew he was being honest and not trying to up sell anything to me. Again, I highly recommend Eddie and green star.

Ive been using Greenstar for several years now since moving to Laguna Woods in 2016, and Ive been consistently impressed by their employees and their professionalism and workmanship. The staff office are always courteous and efficient when you call them, and they call ahead to inform you of arrival times on the day of your appointment. When Greenstar installed my new water heater in 2017, I purchased a maintenance program which they have serviced on schedule and in a very thorough manner. This month the water heater maintenance was performed by technician Christian, and he also replaced a corroded kitchen valve, accompanied by his supervisor Manuel. Both were super helpful, friendly and considerate. I should also mention two techs from last year, Robert Moore who installed my new kitchen faucet on 6/15/18 and Eran (spelling?) who unblocked my toilet on 7/25/18, and also the gentleman whose name I dont have who fixed another blockage that year. All excellent and very professional. They explain everything in detail and will give detailed advice and estimates. Thank you, Greenstar folks!

Tony came in to do a checkup. We have yearly checkups but this is the first time someone told us about the lack of insulation. Tony was very thorough and helped us understand what was going on with our system. His team finished the work really quickly, and Tony did a quality check on everything, so we are pretty happy about that, too. If you choose Greenstar, ask for Tony!

Antonio Hernandez was very thorough when inspecting all components of the air conditioning unit, spending time explaining the testing process, critical components to the equipment and tips to help ensure the system runs smoothly. In addition Mr. Hernandez provided instructions using the Nest thermostat. A very thorough inspection and instruction tutorial.
Christian was very thorough and professional in his communication. Robert joined him in explaining the evaluation and was not pushy about anything.Both were personable and respectful.

I guess Rescue Rooter is part of Greenstar. Am only familiar with the plumbing part of the business. All service people are very professional and are great at explaining problems that need attention.
Michael was an absolute pro, he knew exactly how to troubleshoot the toilet.He is also very professional in the way he expressed himself and the way he answered all my questions with clarity and in detail.He went extensively to explain the problem and how to take preventive action to help prevent it in the future.

We are SO grateful to Greenstar and specifically Luis, who went out of his way not once or twice, but THREE times to make sure our air conditioning was working properly amid a crazy heatwave with our infant daughter in the house. He was knowledgeable, professional, and answered all our questions. He even alerted us to something we had been previously unaware of and was able to save us money. He has definitely earned our business moving forward!!
This company is so nice and Polite. Ronny went above and beyond to video a before and after of my roof to show me what he did. He suggested what he noticed that needed to be done without pressure. They’re neat, clean got the job done. Great job!

The service rep Tony is punctual, polite and very thorough in the AC check/tuneup work. He explained in good details the conditions of my system, and different repair/replacement options. He also cleaned up the area around the AC unit ~ showing of caring at job. While I am still weighing my action plan, I will give thumbs up to Tony.
