I will be using DIXIE ELECTRIC for plumbing, my electrical, specifically for hanging light fixtures and installing our Ring and the HVAC guy is on the way to give me a quote. I am finding the Dixie Electric service people to be knowledgeable. Tracey was pleasant and helped me problem solve through several things dealing with my plumbing that I was worried about as we are moving into a very old house. The quotes plumbing and electrical were reasonable. I am also impressed with the Dixie Care Program, as I said our house is old and the savings the program offers will be well worth it! Before, we had been using another large company in town but just from dealing with the level of professionalism, I switched to Dixie.

Tracey was professional and courteous . He wore shoe covers and a mask at all times. He explained all aspects and options regarding my issue. I will definitely use Dixie Electric Plumbing & Air again and will ask for Tracey. I have had great experiences with all the technicians from this company.

I am so thankful that Tony was the repairman that was sent to my home. He was very helpful. Although I did not use Dixie for their services because my issues was with my pump. Tony checked the PSI and found it to be very low. Tony directed me to call someone who works on well pumps as they do not. Tony was very professional and very helpful.

Dixie has very friendly, knowledgeable employees; from the receptionist to the technicians. I would caution anyone calling them for basic plumbing repairs to be very cautious. They utilize set pricing that can be extremely high even if you just need minor repairs. I decided to write this review solely for the purpose of informing anyone that is not aware. For example, I had two bathroom faucets that the hot water kept running. The estimate was to rebuild 2 Delta wide spread faucets for $1,298. I called Delta & discovered the seats from Home Depot were the wrong Delta part. They gave me correct ones and springs that corrected the issues for $10. I had several toilets with minor issues. Two would not flush all the way as the handle would stick & constantly run and one has a Toto bidet seat attached that was leaking on connector at base of toilet. All three estimates were $475 per toilet to rebuild tank instead of addressing the main issue. I replaced the handle on one and did some adjustments on the 2nd after watching a YouTube video - cost $25. I called Toto and they had an upgraded plastic fitting which would correct the leak. It did. $25. I had them look at my water heaters among a few other things, but just the $2,723 for those overall minor repairs was the eye opener. You are paying a Super Premium price which no doubt helps them with excellent marketing, nice vehicles, and great staff. No doubt they stand behind their workmanship and even have plans you can participate in to save of “standard” prices. One thing I know for sure, ALWAYS get more than one estimate on any job even if there is a service charge. Also, be aware that Dixie actively solicits feedback. I received a card in mail thanking me for choosing Dixie and to post a review or call them if they didn’t meet expectations. As I said, great marketing and friendly. I am sure they do care about feedback. I ended up using another company for hot water heaters and other plumbing needs.

Hollis was great. He made sure I was completely knowledgeable concerning was going to be needed to get the water heater operational. I appreciate his honesty and advice.

I called up Dixie Electric to come out to inspect my breaker panel due to my lights dimming. The technician, Jody, was able to arrive a day early which was great. He also went over and beyond answering my dozens of questions about the breaker panel I was concerned with. He did a thorough inspection of everything and gave me total peace of mind after he was finished. I will be using Dixie Electric in the future because of Jody. Great work!

I have used Dixie for both plumbing and HVAC. While it may cost a bit more, it is worth every penny! From the folks who take your call and do the scheduling, to the technicians...phenomenal. They are friendly, professional, responsive, helpful, and dependable. Most recently, my technician was Corey Nielsen, and he was the technician that all companies need to have. He explained things, gave honest unbiased recommendations, very friendly, extremely respectful of your home, and very knowledgeable.

My technician, Jody was wonderful to work with. He installed a ceiling fan, a dimmer switch and sprinkler timer. He was very courteous, efficient, professional and knowledgeable. He also gave me some valuable suggestions. I purchased their Dixie Cares plan and any questions I had that he was uncertain of the answer, he called to get the answer. I would highly recommend their service and will request Jody for my next electrical service call.

I made the innocent mistake of contacting Dixie Electric to replace a leaking drain in my shower. They took the old shower out and replaced it with a new one and are trying to charge me $7,000 for the job. I feel like I’ve been taken advantage of because of my lack of knowledge of this type of work. This is price gouging at its best. Then when you call you get the run around. I’m very upset with how I’ve been taken advantage of.

Roy and Austin installed a corner toilet in my master bathroom. They did an excellent job and I am very pleased. Only problem was getting the toilet from Lowes. They shipped it three times before I received one that was not broken. Dixie was so helpful and patient making several trips.I have been a Dixie Electric, Plumbing & air customer since 2012. They installed a completely new breaker system, since at my old house which had fuses. Then when I moved, they transferred my warranty coverage to my new house, installed an air conditioner/heating unit, hot water heater, air filter system, ceiling fan, garbage disposal, just to name a few things. Jody from Dixie Electric performed electrical inspection. Was impressed with his thoroughness and taking time to explain things and answer questions. Made the case for surge protection (as I recently had a modem “fried” from lightning in the area), without being pushy. Also took a few minutes to re-set my garage doors after getting electricity restored by resetting the GFCI. Could not be more pleased.

I called Monday morning and Albert was here by 1 pm. He checked everything and gave me a written option of repair, answered all of my all questions, and then completed the repairs neatly and timely. My older AC unit went out. I called to make the appointment and Carolyn was very nice and gathered all the details needed. They were able to work us in for same day even though they were booked. Kenneth was the technician that came out. I was called prior to his arrival and given a time frame. He arrived right on time. He was very professional and friendly. I really enjoyed the text I received before his arrival with his photo so I knew who to expect at my home. He made sure he kept my home clean from outside debris which was nice. He kept me informed every step of the way and answered all my questions until I understood. He confirmed I was ok with the charges before doing any work. I would recommend them. They are not cheap at all, but you get what you pay for.

He then did an inspection on the plumbing and showed me how to properly install the toilet flapper since I had originally done it by myself incorrectly. Mark did an exemplary job in servicing my need. He took ownership of my issue. Quickly identified the problem. Determined the part that I needed, which had to be ordered through the manufacturer as the part was under warranty (good to know, as I didnt. It was Mark, the Dixie Electric technician that after researching the serial number, informed me the part which was very expensive, several hundred dollars was under warranty. He ordered the part for me. He then gave instructions to call Dixie back after the part arrived so that He could remove and install the replacement parts. I had to pay the usual up front service call fee, but the return trip to install the part was covered by the initial service call fee and I wouldn’t be charged for the return trip. I would only pay for the part installation labor. If I had a company, I would not hesitate in hiring Mark. He possesses the personality, technical ability, skills, work ethic and intellect any employer would look for in an employee. Dixie Electric has done well hiring and retaining Mark.

Overcharged! Dixies Service Fee will be added ON TOP of work, not included as is w/ other companies. Get ready to pay $70 IN ADDITION to whatever they do. In my case it was simple - my breaker tripped. To make everyone aware: If your breaker trips, you better check it first yourself, because my bill was over $175 for them to flip a switch. I have a company so I understand service charges, but if its a simple fix like reset the breaker, we simply would charge the service call fee & leave. Dixie is gouging- charged me $100 to flip the switch PLUS the $70 service fee & tax.

Dixie Heat and Air has been helping us with plumbing and air issues for about 3 years. Today Jim came to clean a clogged condensate line that was causing water damage. He was on time, very helpful and knowledgeable. Thanks Dixie for taking care of us, yet again! We appreciate technicians like Jim!

When Brandon finished checking the heating and air conditioning outputs, he noticed a slight fluctuation in the power. Following a check at the electric panel, he determined that the fluctuation was an Alabama Power problem, not significant. He did suggest we consider installing a surge protector. I appreciate his thorough.

Dixie Electric staff was great throughout entire process. Dixie gave an upfront and honest estimate. They understood exactly what I was wanting and how to meet my expectations. The team assigned my project worked efficiently and effectively. The truck was not fully stocked as one team member made two trips to purchase what I understand to be general electrical supplies. The time spent on purchasing supplies was not wasted as the other team member stayed to work and complete other aspects of the installation. The installation crew cleaned as they worked leaving no debris. I recommend Dixie Electric for residential electrical installations and will be hiring them again for my utility needs.
