They were responsive and text me quickly after requesting information.
I love living here. They respond quickly to issues. The staff is polite and easy to get in touch with. I recommend greenslate to all my friends who are searching for a place to live in midtown.
Team is pretty responsive to requests. My unit and building are in good shape! One of the best property management groups Ive worked with.
I’ve had a great experience with Greenslate in the Slips complex. It’s a little pricey for Omaha, but very worth it being right at blackstone and with the great management team. They always shovel snow on our roads and by our doors, which has been wonderful with the winter weather! I always get a very quick response to emails or calls. Maintenance is always quick to come, as well.
Lived at the Slips for about a year. Never had an issue with management - always responsive and willing to help
I’ve lived at a Greenslate property for almost a year now and there’s no doubt in my mind that I’ll resign! We live in a modern townhouse in the Blackstone area that just can’t be beat. Walkable from tons of bars and restaurants, we find ourselves thankful to be so close to all the action! Plus, there’s plenty of room for all four of us that occupy the unit. We have amazing neighbors and have even made friends out of strangers along the way as we live right next to the Air Bnb. Any time we have ever had a maintenance issue, a worker has come within the hour to fix the problem. I cannot recommend this company enough!
The team is very responsive, good price and location for the apartments in Blackstone area. Id recommend it for sure!
I have only lived here since August but whenever I have had a question or needed assistance they were always timely and more than willing to help!
I would like to thank your company personnel (Chad) for his excellent support. From the first showing Chad took me on to this week with A/C issues, he has taken care of all my queries quickly. Chad also provided timely and helpful service when I had maintenance requests and he either calls or texts me to follow up. He lets me know all the important information regarding any issues. Chad is always extremely attentive and he listens to all my concerns with a great deal of patience.
Great location, amazing management team, and very flexible in working with my needs. Situated in a busy little district, youre still able to seclude yourself from the scurry or safely walk to local joints within seconds. Apartment had all new fixtures, bill pay was simple, and complex itself was well maintained. Quiet space, great location, and great staff.
Their listings are expensive and I wasnt a fan of the person who did my showing.
I love that I’m able to park in the reserved employee parking stalls (as a non employee) on weekends and get boozy AF. Such a BS (Blackstone) perk! Meanwhile, one saucy summer day after arriving to my Volkswagen Beetle after a night of having one too many cocktails (don’t worry, it was the next morning) I noticed something was off... UHM, the public ‘no parking’ signage had a tragic misspelling... Espense < Expense (see photos.) Unfortunately due to misspelling, I will not be abusing/parking in this spot anymore.Anyways, I’d typically only give one star for such BUT parking in this spot has saved my short legs a lot of walking. Two stars it is.On a serious note, this space is now available to the general public and most importantly, those who are not grammar nazis.
They are amazing. Always willing to help. Chad is the best Ive ever had the pleasure of working with.
Green Slate Management is a property manager who I would avoid if at all possible. While the staff that I interacted with was friendly and helpful in most circumstances there are several instances that lead me to believe it is a poorly managed group whose primary incentive is turning a profit rather than providing its tenants with a proper living experience. I say this first because they are continually raising prices for a property that I would argue is decreasing in value due to deteriorating cheap appliances and diminishing livable space. Second, it appears that they take advantage of their status as a large property manager charging tenants excessive amounts in damages. This may very well be the norm in the property management business, however I prefer to live with a property manager who is going to be supportive rather than gouge me at every opportunity. For this reason I suggest you do NOT live with Green Slate Management. It appears that Green Slate is attempting to cram as much as they can into one space. Combine this with their use of cheap appliances that are deteriorating quickly and you have a recipe for disaster. Upon the entirety of my two years living in their apartment there was construction. Eventually, the construction will be done but what will remain is a crowded and congested living area. Additionally, the appliances they provide are cheap and ineffective. The washer/dryer unit in my living space was functional, however a single cycle would take up to 8 hours. We were provided with two communal washer and dryers. Unfortunately these dryers worked only approximately 20% of the time. Having a load of wet clothes with no means to dry them is an incredibly frustrating situation, which was an all too common occurrence. I also had continual plumbing problems with the bath and toilet. On one instance I had sewage back up into it my bathtub and toilet. This left a stain which I would later be charged for leading to my primary concern with Green Slate.Even after having lived in 5 different places over 8 years, I am no expert in the laws behind what a tenant vs landlord is responsible for after move out. However, I have never felt as wrongfully charged as I am with the excessive amount of money Green Slate has demanded. For instance I was charged $640 in total for damages in an apartment that I believe I caused no damages save for some large and small scuffs and stains on the walls, a stained bathtub caused by inadequate plumbing, and a few minor details missed in deep cleaning my apartment which I occupied for two years. I was told several times that emails were sent to me informing me of the charges that were made however to all three email accounts that I provided them they never seemed to come through. The charges were posted to my tenant account online, 17 days after move out, which to the best of my knowledge is longer than the 14 days required by Nebraska state law. My point however is not about the technicalities of the charges or the amounts. It is about the fact that as a tenant I feel that Green Slate took advantage of its position in order to make a profit, leaving me concerned about what they would charge for an apartment with actual damages.Overall, living with Green Slate was not terrible. However, it is the principle that they left me feeling so uncomfortable about the unreasonable amount of money they are charging. It emphasizes that Green Slate is focused on short term gains rather than long term prosperity, which comes at the expense of YOU, the tenant. Upon ending of my lease, seizure of my $400 damage deposit, and additional charges of $240 I am left me with 3 options. First, I could fight the charges and receive a portion of my deposit back which would likely end up costing more time, energy, and money than what it is worth. Second, I could attempt to negotiate the additional chargers which would still leave me unsatisfied. Finally, I can inform prospective tenants of what they can expect when living with Green Slate management. I hope this review suits you as useful.
I both live and work in nearby GreenSlate properties – both of which I really like and have had positive experiences working with GreenSlate over the last couple years! I love both my apartment and office, first and foremost, because of the prime Blackstone location and surrounding businesses/treelined street views. The company is quick to respond and resolve any issues Ive had – but overall the issues have been minimal as theyre both new properties. Sure, the rent may be a little more than other similar apartments in the city, but the location and amenities are personally worth it for me. I love having included yoga, front door recycling and a garage spot particularly. The appliances are new and great quality, and the overall design aesthetic is exactly what I like – clean and fresh. Any complaints are quickly dealt with, theres good communication from management and maintenance, and the common areas/hallways are kept tidy by a cleaning staff. Noise is typically minimal and Im impressed I cant hear the traffic from Farnam considering I am right off the street. GreenSlate is easy to work with and the fact I havent had to work with them very much is a telling sign of effortless renting :)
Absolutely love living at the Slips, the apartment management is wonderful! I cant say enough positive things about the apartment itself, maintenance, and management.
Ive been a resident of GreenSlate properties for over 2 years. I am extremely satisfied with their customer service and price of properties.
Do not rent with GreenSlate Management. They will try to charge you unrealistic amounts of money for repairs once you move out. I am very unsatisfied/frustrated with their customer service and warn anyone wanting to rent from them.
