Very pleased with the 2 bedrooms and 2.5 baths townhome we moved into a 2 years ago. Good space to live in! Safe area! Great place to live and raise a family.Country Estate agents are very helpful and professional.Thank you for having usBest RegardsZdenek “Z” Voprada’s family
Joined CE in 2018. First 12-15 months, the management team struggled a lot with maintenance resources and a lot of repairs went on back log. They changed management and hired new crew in 2020. Theyre on top of everything - cleaning, mowing, repairs, follow-ups, pool maintenance etc. They also take good care of neighborhood cleaning. These townhomes are old but dont think any other townhomes/apartments in Omaha area will be able to beat them in terms of cost and space. Im a single occupant at a 2 bedroom here which means I have a lot of space. Highly recommend for situations like roommates, couples, startup families etc.
No one ever calls back, units are not updated, no follow up. Would not recommend!!
DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER THIS PLACE. I would give 0 stars if I could. We moved in in January 2020. When we did our walk through of our unit. The manager at the time (There were 3 separate managers in the time we lived there, again only a year) pointed out things that would be fixed prior to our move in date. These things included painting over scuffs in the kitchen, fixing broken drawers, fixing the back screen door but hey she told us our fridge was brand new, so that makes everything okay, right? No. On move in day, we noticed nothing she told us would be fixed was fixed. We called down and told her it still wasnt fixed and she ensured someone would come by later in the day to fix it, no one showed. She told us to make note of it on our move in checklist, so we did. Fast forward a few days, nothing still was getting fixed and our basement began to flood. It was flooding because the drain in the floor was clogged. We called the emergency number the manager gave us for after hours calls. No one answered so we left a message. We bought a snake and tried to clean the drain and the most disgusting substance came out. We called the manager and told her this job was two big for the both of us so FINALLY she called an actual plumber and he fixed it, not a Country Estate staff member. Fast forward a month, We are in February 2020 now and now the basement is flooding from the snow coming through the ground outside. Country Estates painted our basement floor with gray paint. There were inches of water covering our basement floor and causing the paint on the floor to bubble. We lost a lot of our possessions in the basement because of the floor. We called the office and again she said she would send someone over to look at it. No one came, we cleaned the mess ourselves and i did take pictures of it beforehand. The next day, my boyfriend spotted the maintenance guy on our street and he pulled over to ask him to come and look at it. When he came to our unit, he told us they were going to have to tear up the entire floor and redo it but never told us when he was going to do that. Over the next 10 months, they never fixed the floor. When we moved in the shower in our master bedroom was DISGUSTING. It was full with a black substance and we made the ultimate decision to just never use that one and use the guest bathroom and write it down on our move in checklist. When i came to moving out, we knew we were going to get charged for simple things. For example, some of the blinds fell off and we knew we would have to buy new ones (no big deal) and we knew we were going to have to pay for paint and normal wear and tear. Well when we moved into our now house, they sent us a letter in the mail telling us they used our entire security deposit $900 and we still owed them $300. They charged us $200 for painting even though we already puttied and all they had to do is put a few patches here and there where pictures were hung. There were a few things left behind so I was okay paying a $100 fine for hem having to remove a few items. Needless to say, I do not plan on giving them another cent of my money and if i had the option they would get 0 stars. All i want is for them to own of to their wrong doings and admit they have MAJOR changes that need to be done.
I seriously havent had a single good interaction since I Chutney left. Everyone else there is rude.
We have been living her for almost a month now. We were promised that everything in our home would be repaired and ready for us to move in. Fast forward to move in day. Absolutely none of the fixes were made. We then placed over 7 maintenance requests to address the problems that weren’t fixed. We still don’t have a battery in our smoke detector. We still don’t have lights that work in the garage, back patio area, kitchen, and master bedroom. The garage door doesn’t stay closed. The carpet is coming off on 2 steps on the stars and I have almost fallen to my death twice. The shower is absolutely disgusting and I would need a tetanus shot to use it. (I’m attaching photos). A repair person did come to fix the shower, but all he did was spray paint the floor. Our house reeks of cigarettes and weed no matter how many air fresheners we use. The sliding door only locks if I put all my weight on it. We were told that someone was going to “shade match” the new patch of carpet they placed to repair a stain. Nobody has come by. We received a notice that someone was going to come by and spray for pests. Nobody showed up. The carpet looks disgusting. They should of replaced all of the carpet. They cut through the middle of a stain when installing the new patch of carpet so not only is there a different colored square on the floor, but it has stains next to it. There is a tear in the middle of the carpet that is a tripping hazard. The carpet around the kitchen entrance is black (the carpet is supposed to be a light beige). I could go on, but I think you get the picture. Attached are pictures showing the problems I have mentioned. The pictures showing the shower are AFTER the maintenance guy did his handiwork.UPDATE: Some of the pics I am posting showing how horrible this place is keep getting taken down. I will be posting these pics on every media facet I can think of to make sure the public knows what a horrible place this is. Also, we STILL haven’t heard from them. Our maintenance requests have been updated to cancelled online now too. What they are doing is positively criminal. LOOK AT MY YELP REVIEW TO SEE MORE PICS
I would have given them zero star if I had the option. I stayed here for a year. Nothing from move-in to move-out is normal. I do not want to write pages, all I can tell you is do not even think about this place. Please stay away from this place.
THANK YOU all for sharing your HORRIBLE experiences as this explains the encounter I had. Was supposed to be contacted around June 22nd to look at a unit, havent heard from them. CLEARLY A BLESSING IN DISGUISE....And to COUNTRY ESTATES please dont worry about responding CLEARLY ITS BS.
If you never want a call back or to leave the clubhouse 100 voicemails just for them to completely ignore you, this is the place you wanna live. The only thing they seem to have time to respond to is bad reviews. They also will not help you get ahold of maintenance even when it’s emergency like your AC going out and you’re living in 90 degrees, all they’ll do is send you the emergency maintenance number which also ALWAYS goes to voicemail. I don’t think I’ve ever had such a hard time getting ahold of a property manager in any of the places I’ve lived.
DO NOT MOVE INTO THIS PLACE. My parents live here and put in a request over a month ago because their Air conditioner is not working and nobody has responded to them. They even talked to the owner of this property and nothing but lies. My parents have medical conditions and on the warm days it was almost 90 in the place. The ceiling in the bathroom was also leaking and looks like it will fall at any time over 2 months and no response. These people need to be reported asap.
The team at Country Estates is AMAZING! Melany and Kiya do a great job in the office. They are always kind to me and if I ever need anything, they are there for me in an instant. The maintenance team is the best! Tony and James work so hard to keep the property up and running. I really commend them for everything they need to do each and every day. Keep up the great work! I recommend this property to anyone looking to live where the staff take pride in what they do! It really shows!
I currently live here and you are going to get into a older building(definitely keep that in mind.. no sump pumps...plus thier basements flood because of it...My back patio door has yet to get fixed as its so broke we cantuse our screen door(even though weve been promised a new one 4 years ago) and to top it off My foundation is cracked and they still have yet to fix it 5 years later), they have been through lots of management and maintenance people. Honestly I believe its a good place just not a great place for what you pay.
I would love to hear how you plan to make my experience better.
The office staff at this location is beyond phenominal, my questions were answered before I could even ask them! I am relocating from another state in June. I have spoken to Chudney and Lexa several times. I am a firm believer in giving good positive reviews and both of these young ladies deserve a good review. Thank you for the good positve phone experience.
We are moving in June! We are so excited, the ladies in the office at country estates are absolutely amazing and are always willing to answer all our questions. We can’t wait to live here!
If you want to live somewhere where you toilet over flows constantly, your garage is damaged to the point where your valuables are open to the public, or all doors & drawers are constantly just breaking off.. this is your place!
DO NOT MOVE HERE! We went in to apply for a town home but at the time their was none to show, and were all occupied. They said their would possibly be one available towards the first week of October but they said to get the process started they would need the application, application fees and deposit at the time of submitting application we went ahead with their application procedure just to see if we were approved. about a week later they called stating that someone moved out so we went to look at it and it was nothing like what the pictures looked like on their website. We decided not to live their and asked to see what we can do about getting our deposit back, I wasnt asking for the application fee I was only asking for my deposit back but they keep saying theirs nothing they can do about it! they wont give me my deposit back SO DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT APPLY AT THIS PLACE, and DO NOT PUT NO DEPOSIT DOWN! AND DO NOT LEASE OR RENT FROM ANY MONARCH INVESTMENTS PROPERTIES!
As I lived here the Management got better and better. Great in and out processing. Highly recommend. :) Call Dawn if you need help shes the best!
Pretty terrible over all. Have lived here for a few months. Our townhome constantly smells like weed because of our neighbors. Maintenance requests take forever. Sidewalks and garage floors are destroyed. Broken streetlight since we moved in still has yet to be fixed. Wasps and Hornets everywhere. Cant even use our back patio because there are so many. The grounds are also terrible. Weeds, grass, plants ect. You can tell they accepted lowest bidder. Theyll probably respond to this and pretend they care but they dont.
I like it people.are nice rent is not bad I wish my garage floor was in better shape it all busted up but it a nice place.
Carolanne was amazing, she was very nice and willing to help with whatever I needed, she remembered me every time I came in and knew what I was looking for and what I needed. Her customer service is amazing and I am super excited to move into my townhome :)
We lived here for over 2 years before deciding to break our lease (for a fee of $2030). At first, great place. At the end, absolutely terrible. 3 months of dealing with mice our new neighbor brought in. The most management did was drop off mouse traps and rat poison. We found at least one mouse a day. Our neighbors were robbed at gunpoint in front of our place AND the townhome 3 doors down was broken into. Talked with Melanie and she didnt care. There was nothing more they would do. So we broke our lease, moved out in October. February rolls around, we get notified from collections for missing payment towards the lease break fee. They had deposited our checks so why were we sent to collections?.Talked with Melanie again, basically something messed up in the computer system and sent everyone to collections. So why didnt they notify previous tenants? Because they were too busy. The mistake happened Feb 6, we were notified by collections Feb 20. I had to call the office to find out what was going on. DO NOT LIVE HERE. You will eventually run into issues, even if the place seems great at first. If there are issues, youre SOL. They dont care, it doesnt affect them.
They are amazing I would recommend
Really nice service. Worked with us and made sure we where satisfied. Really nice place to live.
I am disappointed that I have to leave such a negative review, because my experience while living at Country Estates was decent. Despite the townhouses being older and need for new carpet, appliances and paint throughout the staff was very accommodating and timely on most matters. I was a tenet of Country Estates from June 2016 to June 2017.Following my move out at the end of my lease in June 2017, I received a mailed letter and ledger on July 10, 2017 (see attached photo) that stated I would be getting a security deposit back of $200 back within 30 days. (Note that the security deposit paid in June 2016 was listed as $350.. so not sure where the other $150 went?)After 30 days passed I called the office to inquire about the $200 check at which time I was informed that I had an owed balance of $675.26.I never received ANY documentation from Country Estates that attested to the required payment of this amount. I was told on that same date that a manager would call me back to provide further details. I never received a call back.Over a month goes by. I then receive a letter from a collections account on September 11, 2017 at which point I call Country Estates again. I am told a manager would call me back the same day.Two days (September 13, 2017) later I have still heard nothing. While there were damages to the master bedroom carpet/door and I had to leave the mattress due to a family emergency I am have a difficult time understanding how that warrants a total charge of $1,060 - $350 (security deposit) leaving a balance owed of $675.26.Despite the error on the ledger I was provided it appears as though I was charged $200 for painting, $110 for a cleaning fee, and $750 for carpet replacement.I have no issue paying any amount due, especially if I am at fault. Its the poor communication that prompts this review. In most circumstances apartments or townhouse paint, replace or clean carpet and clean prior to the next tenet moving in, so to have such high charges (especially on an old residence that wasnt in tip top condition to begin with - when I moved in there were already carpet stains, lots of gnats, and an odor that never seemed go away, probably due to the need for new carpet) is very difficult to comprehend. While my optimism is bleak and I will likely have to bite the bullet and pay the amount, I hope I am able to come to a fair resolution.
Worst mistake I ever made was moving in to country estates. The property manager can not handle anything her self and seems to dodge me every time I try to talk to her. I walked in to the office, saw her sitting there and asked to speak to her. But I had to make an appointment. I gave this place to many chances to count to make things right for my family. Our first unit basement would flood. Which they KNEW previous to us moving in. We moved in to a new unit and currently have had mice for 8 months. All they do is throw poison packets (which the mice move, and I have cought my 7 month old chewing on) they put sticky traps out. I have literally caught two mice in one trap before. I cant believe the lack of effort to make this right. Save your self the trouble and dont move in here, I have never felt to stuck and fooled in my whole life. Ill be contacting all the news stations about this problem. Ill make it my goal that country estates makes this right.
Great place to live but management leaves something to be desired. Repair servicemen and women some of the best out there.
Weve been living here for several months and absolutely love it! The office staff are friendly and very welcoming. The townhome we live in was cleaned prior to moving in. We did have a few stains/tears on the flooring but thats why you need to make sure you document it on the checklist they give you when moving in so youre not held responsible for it when you move out. As far as cops being out here all the time and break-ins, we havent seen or heard any of that. So far weve seen one cop and he was going to the Fox Valley complex. And the lawn care guys come every week on Thursdays. Theyve been out here more than 6 times already this season and its only the middle of June. As far as a $50 charge for lawn care goes, you arent charged that on top of you rent, its included in the rent. Just like every other apartment/townhome complex. We feel safe here, lots of families and peace and quiet. We would highly recommend.
UPDATE: SCREWED OVER NOT ONCE, NOT TWICE, BUT THREE TIMESWE WERE SUPPOSE TO MOVE INTO OUR NEW TOWNHOME TOMORROW AND NOW THEY SAY MAGICALLY ITS NOT READY. WE GET KICKED OUT OF OUR OLD TOWNHOME BECAUSE THEY RENTED IT OUT TO SOMEONE ELSE, MAKE US PAY A NEW DEPOSIT ON THE NEW TOWNHOME AND NOW THATS NOT EVEN READY. THEN THEY WANT US TO REACH OUT TO THEIR REGIONAL MANAGER?!?! RUN FAR AWAY FROM HERE****DO NOT MOVE HERE HORRIFIC CUSTOMER SERVICE****Told my boyfriend and I that we could resign the lease and that I would be added on, said that there was no rush and to just resign when we paid for Junes rent. Went in and paid Junes rent and they told us that THEY WOULD NOT RESIGN US BECAUSE THEY GAVE OUR TOWNHOME to someone else!!! I am 32 weeks pregnant and now we have to find a place to live within 2 weeks!! What POS company does this?!?!?! And then they said they could move us to one of their other townhomes but wed have to pay a NEW deposit what the hell is wrong with this company!? You SCREW us and then wont even make it right by waiving our deposit???NEGATIVE STARS!
If I could put negative zero stars I would but you cant. These people harrass their tenants . Extremely unprofessional and will kick you out the second they decide they dont like you. This place is absolutely terrible. The owners Deb and Brent Clatterbuck dont know how to treat people and they talk to you like they are above you . Terrible. Stay away
Ill start off by saying that I would not recommend this property. We were shown a two bedroom unit that was nice, clean, and met most of the criteria that we were looking for. After thinking it over and looking at other comparable properties, my wife and I (who were moving from out of town) made the choice to go with Country Estates. We called back the next day, and were informed that the unit we had toured had been rented out. No big deal, we thought. We ended up with a three bedroom unit instead, assuming that it would be in comparable condition. Needless to say it was not.Looking back, it should have been a red flag that we were told that we were absolutely not able to view the unit before moving in- despite being required to put down a deposit to secure it. Again, hindsight being what it is we should have pressed more but were relatively impressed by the unit that we did see so did not think much of it.Upon getting our keys and rolling up with the moving truck, we found ourselves entering a unit that had clearly not been cleaned. There were bags of trash left on the front porch, numerous paint and other stains and marks on the carpet (some as big as my size 13 foot), and it was very apparent that the previous owner was a smoker. Additionally there were a couple of rooms that reeked of pet odor (cat urine). This is not to mention we were moving in only after being strung along on the actual date due to them having to get in and ‘see how much work would need to be done to prepare the unit for us’. Unfortunately it was very evident that not much was done at all.In addition to the blatantly obvious stains and smells, there were light switches and outlets without faceplates on them and a host of very basic maintenance-related items that had been left unfinished or not done at all. However the worst part was the indifference of the management when these concerns were brought to their attention. Long story short, we ended up having to escalate our concerns to the corporate office in Colorado before we were able to get a response and any kind or action. The best advice that was given to us by local management was to ‘open up the windows and get some air fresheners’. The process of having these basic maintenance requests tended to was cumbersome at best, and infuriating at times. Often we would go weeks without any response or follow-up- and this continued throughout our tenure at Country Estates.I could continue further, but I think you get the point so I’ll begin to wrap up. I couldn’t wait to get out of our lease and move along. In true Country Estates fashion, they tried to charge us a carpet cleaning fee when we moved out for the carpet that was 10+ years old and on its last leg 5 years ago. It was standard they said. I talked them down in the amount reminding them of the terrible condition that it was in when we moved in (along with the photographic proof). Despite getting written verification of what the exact return on our deposit would be, they sent me the check for less. It took about 4 months of persistent calls to finally get the full amount.I really don’t blame the maintenance debacles solely on the maintenance crew, it truly is a property that is mismanaged from the top-down. In my year and a half there, there were three different property managers- each of them unwilling or incapable of any semblance of customer service or common sense. This could very well be different now, but there is absolutely no way in good faith that I could recommend Country Estates to anyone.
The people were wonderful and everyone worked to get us approved.
Moved out due to reaccuring break ins to my car and my garage. Complaints never got handled. So I broke my lease and now there trying to charge me for damages to the property that were there before hand or never existed.
I did not like living there. Neighbors were loud, the police were somewhere in the area at least once a week for something. Police helicopter scanned the area five times in the year i lived there. One time a tennant next to me moved out and left tons of garbage by curb. Trash company picked up half of it and the wind distributed the rest throughout the area. Management cleaned it up a week later. I moved the week after and still scraps of trash all over.
If Country Estates Townhomes is on your list as a potential place to live ... CROSS THEM OFF THE LIST IMMEDIATELY!!! The townhome we were going to rent had a horrendous smell. After signing the lease on a Friday, we immediately went to the townhome to put Glade Plugins in every room, inserted dryer sheets in the vents, and even sprinkled carpet fresh on the carpet. The next day, Saturday, after loading the U-Haul truck for a good portion of the day, we returned to the townhome to find that the place still had the horrendous smell. In spite of the smell, we still had our movers begin to unload the U-Haul. Upon taking some boxes down to the basement, a snake was seen in the corner of the basement. The snake then disappeared back into the wall. A snake is living in the walls. Needless to say, this was very upsetting. We called the Emergency number and left a message about the snake. The guy who returned the phone call was very rude and arrogant. He said that a snake was not an emergency and said to look over the lease so that I would know what is considered to be an emergency. We never received a copy of the lease!!! We immediately started loading the U-Haul truck with all of the items we had put in the townhome. No way were we going to live under these conditions. We got out of our signed lease, and got our money back.I RATE THEM A ZERO!!!!
Quite neighborhood and nice office workers,, the living room & bedroom doesnt have light :( u need to get your own!
Hard to get maintenance if something is broken!
Highly desappointed is all i can say.
I would not recommend living here to anyone. We lived in a townhome for a year, and when we moved in I had to reclean/actually clean everything, the upstairs carpet had large stains in both bedrooms and upon moving out we were charged a carpet cleaning fee of $200 for the carpets that should have been replaced before we even moved in. There was also a large hole in the laminate floor in the kitchen and the management asked us to try to just cover it with a rug and it took 3 months to have the floor replaced. The manager Tammy is very disagreeable and condescending and never pleasant to deal with. The most frustrating management Ive ever dealt with. If you like lighting in your home make sure to bring a lot of lamps because there are no ceiling fixtures in the living rooms or bedrooms. Also a huge blow is going to be your electric bill, ours averaged about $200 or more monthly, due to poor insulation. You also pay $50 a month for lawn care that comes maybe 6 times in the year. The worst part of living here for me was never feeling safe. There are multiple break-ins in these townhomes, our garage was broken into, and the police are CONSTANTLY present. Dont move your children to these townhomes!
Great customer service and professional staff.
This is an okay area quiet neighborhood .
Run away, ....do not lease here, i would give a 0 star if i could
Great place to live.
Worst experience i have ever encountered with anywhere i have ever rented!!!!
Im very disappointed with this place
