Wow. Sounds like I had a similar experience. Took an old MacBook Pro to see if it could be fixed. Keirnan seemed nice and knowledgeable enough. He offered to have it fixed in a few days but I told him I didn’t need it right away, but when two weeks was approaching I called and left a message. No response. The following week I called again and left another message. No response. Finally, I drove there to see what was going on. Strangely, he had what appeared to be another customer there, which was the exact same person who was there the first time I dropped my laptop off. Keirnan then acted like he didn’t recognize me and maybe he didn’t. I reminded him of my laptop and asked him why he had not responded to either of my calls. He didn’t have a good excuse, then proceeded to tell me he couldn’t fix the laptop after all. He didn’t charge me anything. My husband told me to change all my passwords on any accounts after hearing this story. Very odd.

Dealing with this business was a major let down. First off, I was initially quoted a much higher price than the Apple store, but when I asked about that, Kieran told me he’d beat their price and have my machine done on Friday (this was a Monday). That seemed great to me. However, as closing time on Friday rolled around, I hadn’t heard back so I called to be told that my repair “slipped his mind”. That happens sometimes, but I’d expect a call. He said he’d have it done on Monday, but again, no call. So I swung by at the end of business hours, and again, found my computer not repaired. I was told I could “have it back if I wanted,” which I did, and left saddened that I couldn’t support this local business.

This is the best place to take your Mac when youre having a problem. Ive been dealing with Kieran for a few years now. Everything from battery and hard drive replacement to free advice. He has always been dependable, quick and reasonably priced.

This place rocks! I wish I find a doctor and mechanic that was this competent and cared as much about their customers. Walked in with a sick Macbook. Left with a like-new computer and a happy wallet. Keep up the good work. Your customers will notice.

After a frustrating experience at Best Buy informing me that my 9 year old IMac was obsolete and unrepairable, I was delighted to find Kieran at Olympia Mac Repair. After a few minutes on the phone, he identified the problem, gave me an estimate for repair and invited me to bring in my iMac. I brought it in on a Friday and picked it up the following Wednesday. Amazingly quick turnaround considering he had to order the parts. Kieran was very professional, listened to my questions, and took the time to not only answer them but to educate me on Mac operations in layman’s terms. He delivered excellent service at a very reasonable price and exceeded my expectations. I have been an exclusive Mac person since the late 80’s and would not hesitate to recommend Olympia Mac Repair.

I came to Kieren with a broken screen on my macbook. I did not have time to wait for a new screen to be ordered and installed before I left the country, but he had the exact one I needed on hand and had it replaced within an hour on the day that I came to him all for a very reasonable price. I dont know why anyone would wade through the chaos of the apple store, and wait days for an appointment, when you could come to Kieren and receive the responsive and professional care of an actual human being! Minimal stress, maximal results. Thank you!

What a great choice I made! My Mac crashed and took the external back-up with it. Kieran sold me a new drive and restored my data from the failed drive at a more than reasonable price. Then he helped me fix some permissions issues in five minutes that I had spent hours on the phone with Apple trying to resolve with no results. Not fancy, but GOOD.

Hes knowledgable, professional, and does sound work at a reasonable cost. I was pleased and impressed by the results I got. Highly recommended.

Keiran stole my longer Mac charging cable when I went to pick my computer up after being serviced. I confronted him, he played dumb and would not admit to trading out the cable for a smaller one. Would have been 5 stars for the service or even a 4 had you owned the lie and given the cord back. Do not support a liar!

I don’t suggest taking your Mac products here. I’m not sure who wrote the previous reviews- Friends? Anyways they couldn’t fix my MacBook for less than $1K and then when I got it back it was all scratched up, had dents and my screen protector was even missing.Not happy with the service at Mac Repair. They don’t take care of the products they are working on. I was not impressed. Apple in Tacoma gives free quotes and they are much cheaper to repair.

My MacBook Air screen was broken. I live in olympia and had been calling mac repair stores in Seattle and Tacoma. Most of the stores I called would not even quote me unless I drove to the store. The stores that did quote over the phone, quoted me between 150 to 800 dollars and then would charge me a service fee of over 100 dollars just to look at it, although my screen was very easily described as being damaged and dented. After a month of driving and calling and being given the run around about quotes and additional costs, I found Olympia Mac Repair. He quoted me over PHONE, he replaced my screen in only 2 days. He charged me less than half of any of the competition, and on top of all that he replaced my chipped keyboard buttons for free. The service was absolutely unbelievable in price and in time. I wasnt mislead or tricked into paying high fees. I was treated as a person and the quality of his work was definitely professional grade. DO NOT WASTE ANYTIME GOING ANYWHERE ELSE, this guy will help you!

My boyfriend and I came to this place due to needing a repair on his Macbook. We were both really impressed by the efficiency and quality of service we received. Not only did he get his computer fixed, but I had been needing a laptop myself, and ended up getting a refurbished Macbook. Which I LOVE! It came with a warranty and has been perfect for what I need. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is needing Macbook repairs, or who maybe in the market for a computer and wants a good deal and a great sales experience!

If you expect the spotless glimmer-world of apple stores you came to the wrong place. but this one-man-company situated a five-minute-drive from downtown olympia is definitely the more likeable and cheaper place to go. i was travelling through washington when the battery of my macbook pro went dead. giving a call on friday evening i got an appointment on saturday to bring my device in - and was able to pick it up again fixed on monday morning - thank you for that! the service was very knowledgeable and friendly. i would definitely recommend the place.

I took my imac in twice, once to have screen repaired and second time to replace hard drive. Couldnt be more pleased.
