The staff was pleasant; both the rental and check out process were handled well. The car was another matter: from the not full gas tank, to the trash inside both the car & trunk, the filthy seats and inside doors and the exterior damages! Of course the interior of the garage is so dark that we couldnt see all of this until our first stop in daylight! This vehicle should not have been rented out.

The gentleman at the counter sorry cant remember his name. He was so helpful. I had to ask how to get my blue tooth to work and he came out to the car and helped.

Staff is okay. Theyre friendly but I dont get the impression they care or will do any extra work to help out customers. Received a smaller car than the one I reserved and didnt receive a discount on the overall rental. Car was fine, location is a alright. Went with them because they were the cheaper option, but Ill be going back to Enterprise exclusively.

That cheap car was not worth $1400 for 7 days. You were the most expensive option around but the only option available at the time.

I called bc I needed an awd vehicle for 5 days. I was going to be going through the pass by bachelor in Oregon. Salesman was very rude, said he can’t guarantee an awd vehicle, and that if any place said they could they’re lying. Will never be going through this company, and I’ll be passing this information along. Like seriously, what is so hard about at least being nice. Also they pretty much ignored any attempt to bring up any online items or anything.

The car I got had been rear-ended so it had a cracked bumper, the rest of the car had damage all around it. Also, What should have been a $75 rental I got charged hidden fees that came to nearly $200. If you have another option I would suggest using it.

BEWARE! the owner and operator of this business will tell you wrong information or forget to mention, For example a exact time to return a vehicle at a different location at a different state. I drove almost across the country,and the owner told me I could return the vehicle at anytime on the specific day as long it was within operating hours... Long story short he lied to me so he could make more money from the charges. Will not be getting my business ever again, and I hope nobody else gets taken advantage of like I have.

Terrible service! I reserved a truck days ahead of time and when I drove an hour to get it they didn’t have the truck... at all. They said they couldn’t do anything. They didn’t call me to let me know they didn’t have it and didn’t offer to get another one. Nothing... When we went to uhaul they told us that that same day 3 other people had come from budget with the same thing happen to them.Do not waist your time with Budget.

My wife and rented a vehicle in North Carolina and returned it in Lacey, WA. The vehicle had an awful odor, like it had been smoked in and cleaned with a chemical which made it smell like an old, dirty motel room. Nice for someone with allergies for a 5 day drive. We returned the vehicle 2 days early. Budgets website clearly states the Lacey location is open until 6 pm; however, we arrived at 4:30 pm on a Saturday to find the facility locked. The key fob and completed paperwork were dropped in the lockbox at that time. When calling Budget, we were charged for an extra day even though the vehicle was returned 2 days early. Thanks for being a dishonest, cheating company, Budget. We will never be renting anything from your company again and Ill be certain to spread this message happily to anyone who is considering a rental.

Please update your Google Maps directions. This sends customers to a cabinet shop and there is no way to see the Budget building at all. How anyone finds this place, Ill never know. Very frustrating to say the least.

Absolutely the best staff!! Super friendly and helpful! My only complaint is not with the staff or facility. It is with the company itself charging so much for insurance. I get charging a lot for a day or two but we had a car for around 3 weeks and spent over 600.00 dollars on the insurance. There should be a discounted rate for multiple days/weeks rentals. This us not the local stores fault but a corporate thing. The Lacy store has the best folks I have ever dealt with!

We got a car. It had some minor cosmetic damage and was not very clean on the inside which was not unexpected for the price. What wasnt expected was the terrible customer service we received.During the pick up, at several points the rental guy helping us suggested us upgrading to another car which you know fine whatever kind of his job probably. But when it came to getting the insurance signed, we had some problems.We have car insurance. We have rental cars covered on our insurance. Were with a rather large insurance provider. And he would not stop talking bad about them. Wed noted just in casual conversation that our car was in the shop because we were the victim of a hit and run in a parking lot.What are you going to do if you get in another hit and run? your coverage isnt going to cover this or that or downtime. they cant touch our cars for roadside repairs. youll be responsible for paying this this and this if this happens. yada yada yada at one point he literally said if you have to report another hit and run on your insurance, your insurance is not that forgiving.And maybe its his job to upsell, maybe its his job to sell the insurance. Thats great, but I didnt come in there and provide money for his service just for him to talk bad about services I get elsewhere, or to throw a fairly traumatic, fairly recent event into my face like that. The only reason they got two stars instead of one was because the agent that actually took us out to the rental car and walked us around was pretty nice.

The rental and return was very easy. However the interior of vehicle was so dirty I had to pull over after leaving the lot and wipe it down with Clorox wipes because I felt disgusted just touching the wheel.

Excellent customer service. I rented a passenger van for an event and received a van that was very clean and like new. The pick up and delivery was very easy and I did not incur any hidden fees. This is the second time I rented this type of vehicle from them and have been extremely satisfied both times.

We have rented from Budget numerous times and have always been very satisfied until our most recent experience. When the car was returned following a weeks vacation visiting several national parks we were informed by Natalia that because there were bugs on the car we needed to get it washed or they would charge us to do it. She also tried to say there were spills in the car. It was just my husband and I in the car and we left no trash or spills. There was some dirt on the mats in the front and definitely a few bugs from traveling but the car was not returned with any damage. She was extremely rude and claimed it was in the policy that the car had to be returned in the exact condition it was rented in meaning it needed to be washed. We cannot find anything in the contract we signed nor on the Budget website regarding this rule. We have been renting cars frequently for many years and have never been told we needed to wash it. We definitely will never rent from them again and we will share our experience with everyone we know. I work in a service industry and I would be fired for talking to customers the way we were talked to by this woman.

Arrived at Sea-Tac at 12:05 am from Dallas. Got to the car rental building, saw there was a long line of people waiting for their cars at the counter, thought it would move quickly so wasnt too bothered. However, it soon became obvious that a long wait was in store. And a very long wait it was. Three, yes 3, hours later I was finally on my way. That would make the time 3:00am that I was on the road with another hour to drive - dead tired.People in the line were getting pretty upset and asking what was going on.No response from anyone (3 people) behind the counters. One man lost it, started screaming at one of the clerks. Finally, and this was two and a half hours in, a supervisor came up and explained why it was taking so long. And apologized and thanked everyone for their patience. The explanation came much too late - your customers would have been more tolerant if we had been given the respect of information and communication from the beginning. However, the explanation showed incompetency and lack of planning. There was back up getting cars to their lot because of delays in flights and lots of people showed up at the same time. I would think Budget would know and plan for the people who had made reservations and been ready to accommodate. Its unfortunate that this experience with Budget Car Rental was so miserable and unwarranted.

This is absolute BS! They tell you don’t owe anything until you return the vehicle and then charge you anyway, calling it a “pending” transaction. If that’s how you run your business, fine, but that needs to made clear to the customer to avoid any confusion.

Staff was awesome. Unfortunately, I live 2 hours away by bus, so getting to the rental agency was a challenge. My personal car was in the shop and no rental vehicles to suit my needs were available in my town. Apart from that, it was a good experience.

Booked a rental car 71 days before our trip was starting from dfw airport. Arrived and they didnt have our car at all spend the rest of the morning on the phone with Costco travel to find us a rental car so we could start our vacation. Lady at the counter needed a break and told me she was leaving could I watch the desk and tell customers shed be back. We had excursions booked that we had to cancel because of their mistakes. Contacted Costco travel to discuss this and they told me they would talk to budget about it. Budget told them they wont do anything about it.

Car was filthy inside and out. When asked why it was so dirty we were told it was sitting out in the weather for 3 days, that may have explained the exterior but not the interior. We were given a choice of the filthy car or a smaller class car for the same price, we rented a full size because we needed the room. Once we decided we didnt really have a choice we took the filthy car. The previous rental agreement was still in the center console, it was returned less than an hour before we picked it up. So the clerk had lied to us, they never cleaned it at all. I can handle bad service to a point, but being dishonest to a customer is never acceptable.

We had a 12-passenger van reserved for a specific time and needed it to pick up family at the airport and travel to Seattle for an overnight shopping trip to celebrate my wifes 50th with family members. When we arrived to pick up the vehicle the agent said he didnt have one and that he had a 4-hour window in which to delver the vehicle to us on a reservation. There was no apology. Only an offer to send us with two vehicles (which we already had). Poor customer service. I would not recommend this location given their policy of not honoring reservation times. This reservation was made through Costco Travel.

Lacey location rocked, highly recommend this location mainly for their manager. He sorted out 2 mess ups that SeaTac budget did and even grabbed the car out of the pouring rain for me! Saved me over a $100 on a week rental!

Dont rent from this place unless you want to have them try to charge you for damages that you did not cause! These guys will find any little thing they can charge you for, and try to say the damage was not there when you first rented it out.

I normally rent through Hertz, but decided to come here because it was cheaper. Had a reservation in Oregon and was excited about my trip. Once I got to Budget, I was not able to rent a car because of my debit card? I guess my credit/ debit is okay at Hertz but not Budget. Never again will I go to Budget.

This company double charged me for the rental and claimed it was a deposit. Then when I called back after they said wait 3-5 days for it to be returned and it wasnt the guy on the phone told me to wait another week for my money. Still nothing returned so they stole from me. I had prepaid online and they said they needed another card on file and charged that one for the service and the deposit. Would never go through them again and unless you want to have your money stolen from you I would use a different company.Update I did call customer service and my money has still not been returned a month after the fact. This company lies and steals.

The worst customer service ever, the guy that answered the phone today was the worst, I was trying to figure out when we should get the car to rent and he told me that he wasn’t there to play “limbo” after that we canceled our reservation.

Very dirty vehicle, someone had smoked in the vehicle and instead of cleaning it, they sprayed it with deodorant and I had asthma and runny nose the entire time in the vehicle. The customer service is uncaring and unhelpful when advised of problem and request for adjustment made. I returnd the vehicle two days early but they still charged for one of the days. I will never rent from them again.

Convenience location. Great value. Best rate for ONE WAY Rental from Olympia to drop it off at Seatac Airport. The rate is much less than using Uber or aiport shuttle.

Love my local group in Lacey WA, not too crazy about corporate though.

Staff knew this two days in advance, but no notice was given to me! No van for me!! Went down the road to Enterprise where they took care of me in short order. Welcome to the Boycott List, Budget.

Budget gave me a car that was low on fluids and when I contacted them and requested a different car they gave me a car that was damaged and then blamed me for the damage when I returned it and told me it was my responsibility to make sure there was no damage noted prior to me taking the car. They then said to sign the paper stating I was unaware of the damage. I did so and then I got a bill stating I was responsible regardless.VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I will never rent from them again and I will tell everyone I can not to rent from them because they will put damage on you with no recourse.

When we went to trade cars from the small car rental and pick up a mini van (43672264US6) they did not have car we reserved or one of comparable size available. The guy said his boss said we would have to take something smaller or go somewhere else. We reserved this vehicle weeks ago. We are a military family of 6 moving to Hawaii per military orders. We needed a vehicle big enough to take my family and our luggage to the airport. There was a vehicle on the lot big enough for our family but the guy said it was reserved for someone else. Why this other person was worth keeping a resevation for but my family was not is beyond my comprehension. Im not only extremely disappointed in the fact that they did not save a rental vehicle we reserved weeks ago for my family but also appalled by the take it or leave it attitude of the my boss (Brandon Keneipp). Now my family is scrambling to find a rental big enough to fit my family and our belonging. This experience is unexecptable and no family wether military or not should be treated this way!***Im posting this to yelp, google, and Facebook.

Better trucks than the other places

I rented a 16 foot moving truck for a move from Olympia, WA to Las Vegas, NV. During the check out a man, I assume was the manager, stopped the employee from giving a particular truck by saying no the older one. Well with 180 miles the transmission started to shift really rough, the engine light came on, and we were stuck in The Dalles for 2 days. 12 hours to get a mechanic to confirm a bad/cracked solenoid and another 10 to get a new truck towed out, movers to transfer the load, and the old truck taken to a shop in Portland. Not impressed by their business, and will likely never rent from another Budget location. Thankfully this did not happen in the pass in an area with poor cell coverage.

Truck had a problem on alignment. Nothing was done about it. We got really upset going up the and down the canyon in Oregon.

Save yourself a lot of stress and do not go here. We had an 0800 reservation to pick up a 16’ truck and tow dolly. When 0800 rolled around, the store wasn’t even open. When the guy arrived and helped us, he informed us that they did not have any tow dollies. He offered us a full car trailer instead, which we accepted, but then he informed us they didn’t have any of those either.... We waited for an hour and a half until we gave up and drove to another company to rent their equipment - for a lesser rate! The man at this location then gave us a lot of attitude on the phone for canceling our reservation when they didn’t even have the equipment we reserved. Absurd. If I could give this place negative stars I would.
