I love all Gould’s salons. I decided to give the Olive Branch one a try because I heard that they really improved. Now it’s my favorite one. It was so nice. I had a wrinkle treatment facial and a cut/color appointment. At first I was scheduled for a microdermabrasion facial. Penny observed my face and explained that it might not be right for my skin since I didn’t have any obvious damage. She even let me try it and tested the crystals on my arm. I settled on the wrinkle treatment facial after being explained all their options. It was great! My cut and color was done by Lindsay and she was equally accommodating. I left the salon feeling special and pampered.

My granddaughter wanted her hair Dutch braided. The stylist didn’t attempt to use any product on my granddaughter’s hair, not even hair spray. She quickly made two loose braids and said that was what my granddaughter said she wanted. When I asked her for advice on how to sleep with it she just said “I don’t know just put a lot of hair spray on it, I guess.”Then charged me $25 for 10 minutes of work.And guess what, by this evening the braids fell out.I hope everyone reads this.I have taken my daughter there more than once to get her hair dyed different colors, and the stylists were wonderful .This stylist was dreary and not friendly and didn’t put much effort into braiding her hair at all.😑

This by far is the WORST place to book a massage. You are placed on wait for 15-20 minutes minimum and when they finally answer so that you can check in they tell you to come in. After coming in you are notified your massage rep has left for the day. I have never dealt with such unprofessional service a day in my life. I will never come back to this location.

I asked for a touch up of my balayage. Simple. Bring some highlights up and cover my greys. Instead I got an entire balayage. So what was brown was dyed blonde which turned copper and the blonde was more blonde. The color was inconsistent and I had like a splotch of color on my bangs that was supposed to frame my face. I called and the manager said she would reduce it at no cost. Essentially she did the same thing. Now my hair is so processed I’m afraid to use an iron on it. Much of it is white and so uneven.

I went to this salon with bleach blonde VERY healthy hair and asked for them to make it a brown with a red tint color and my hair is FRIED. I’ve always known dying 3b curly hair can be complicated and very delicate but my hair was very healthy and curly intact and it was BLONDE. I left the salon satisfied with the color which they straightened my hair but after washing it all the color came out and my hair is straight my curl pattern is a complete mess!!!! This is why i’ve always done my hair at home the cosmetology work is a mess now days.

I had an appt at 1:15. I called at 1:00 to say I was running 10min behind, they said ok, and will let my stylist know. When I arrived, she said hold on and came back and told me that I wasnt able to get my hair cut because I was late. I asked her why didnt they tell me that on the phone instead of making me drive all the way here. Then another receptionist came and asked what was the problem. She to her that the stylist was running behind, and still with her previous client and had another appointment in 20 min, therefore she couldnt fit me in. Excuse me? So I really couldnt get my haircut because she was running behind!? I called as a courtesy, why couldnt they? Additionally, why could you not call the later people and tell them they couldnt get their haircut, that way they had an advance notice and I am already here. Furthermore, I told them, if I was on time, I still wouldnt be able to get my hair cut because she was running behind. The receptionist told me I could make another appointment for another day and receive $10 off. I find this absolutely unprofessional and unacceptable. Additionally, I called and send a message to the corporate office to do a review and file a complaint. And guess what? They havent responded to me either! This was almost 2 weeks ago. A place of business should not treat their customers as such.

Absolutely amazing hairstylist. I wanted to look and feel differently when I left, and I received what I asked for in that. Not only did I look different, I felt 10 years younger.

The salon is consistent and always has great service. There are a full service salon that normally does hair but also does pedicures manicures and all the basics spa features that would come with the word spa. Not a bad location easy to get in and out of in a pinch

From the first time I stepped foot in Gould’s, everyone was so nice. The reception staff was super friendly and helpful. And I’ve never had a long wait, which is so nice!Crystal is my stylist and she does an amazing job. I’m not the easiest person to please and I usually don’t know what I want, so she has her work cut out for her from the beginning with me. She listens and helps you decide what is best for you. If you have a picture of what you want, she can do it! If you need a new color, she’s your go to. Great color, great cut and so professional! She’s the best stylist I’ve found in many years! So, if you’re in the market for a stylist, make an appointment with her! Gould’s Olive Branch is definitely my go to place and Crystal is my go to lady!

Absolutely incredible! This is my third time to see June. That woman has some mad massage skills and I highly recommend her for a deep tissue massage (or any massage for that matter). I am a fitness instructor and spend a lot of time training, putting a lot of stress on my muscles so this is exactly what I needed. Shes been there forever and her schedule can fill up quickly... I can see why. That woman is THE BEST!

We had a great experience with Kristen at Gould’s. My 5 year old daughter was getting her first haircut and was very nervous. Kristen was so sweet and patient with her! Now she’s excited to go back for another haircut. Thank you, Kristen!

First visit to any Goulds location, got a mini pedi from Lisa. Used a gift certificate that was 5 years old, and had no issues. Treated very well here, atmosphere was very welcoming and calming, was offered hot beverages, and please with how my nails and feet turned out. Definitely a place to remember, and to gift that experience to others.

Services are great but dont waste your time working there! They dont seem to care about their employees needs or concerns- and be prepared to have everyone in the building know your entire life story and personal information! A lot of gossipping and drama!

Went into my appointment with long hair and wanting to go shoulder length. I told Virginia what I was wanting and she made it happen! Moving to OB and having to find a new hairdresser was extremely stressful but I’m so glad I found Virginia at Gould’s!! I’ll definitely be back!

I haven’t had much luck with hair stylists in the past and I’m so picky about who touches my hair that I went entirely too long without getting a cut. After reading some much appreciated reviews on here, I decided to put trust into you ladies and go with Crystal. Boy am I happy I did! I went in with a very vague idea of what I actually wanted and she helped me decide on what would be best for me. I loved everything about her! Her attitude, the wash, the cut, professionalism, style, friendliness...I could go on. I highly recommend her and am so glad that I’ve found my stylist from now on. Great hair cut

I set an appointment for a certain time and was told to wait. I showed up early and waited for 20 minutes past my appointment time. I asked the lady at the front desk when I would be getting in and she went to the back and the person supposed to be doing my hair came out. It seemed like she had just been sitting in the back doing nothing.When she finally did come up to assist me I told her what I wanted and how I felt about my hair and maybe we could come up with a haircut/style together that would help me. I suffer from hormonal/stress issues that cause the hair on top of my head to thin out and it looks awful.She kept telling me to do layers. It seemed like this was all she does. She insisted and with how fine my hair is layers would make it look worse. She didn’t seem to know anything about hair expect how to do layers. Then she kept trying to push products on me. She brings up something in a black bottle and told me to “just google it”. I didn’t know what it was or what it was for. Just that she told me it was expensive and to google it. This frustrates me because I’m not sure why she’s even pushing the product on me. I keep asking her what it is and she keeps saying to google it.Then she tries to push a dry shampoo on me. Dry shampoo has been known to cause hair loss. Something I’m already suffering from. Why would I want a product that’s going to make my hair look worse? I decided at that point to leave.It was so upsetting to go with this idea that I would get a haircut that would make me feel confident and beautiful again and leave in tears. The experience made me cry so much because I just wanted to feel good and I left feeling worse and more misunderstood. I will not return. It’s so disappointing because my husband and I were both going to start frequenting as well as get our nails done if we liked it. Suffice to say, we did not.I guess if you fit their mold, this is the place for you. But if you don’t, I would suggest never going.

This was my first Goulds experience, which was great! I pampered myself with a mini spa day. My facial was rejuvenating and the massage was so relaxing. It was great service all around.

I HAD very long, silky hair. I went in and wanted a cut and a few layers to lighten it up, it gets a little heavy when its long. So I got a cut,no layers. I called and explained the situation that I wanted a few layers and didnt receive them. The receptionist was very nice. told me to come back and they would definitely take care of the problem. Ok here is where thing went to H*LL. The stylist some blonde lady with very thin hair, I WISH I knew her name. Well she decided instead of giving me a few layers as I requested, and with out asking me. she used this razor comb. On my wavy hair, and proceeded to destroy my hair. When she finished completely ruining my hair I look down at the floor and the amount of hair she had hacked off, it looked like a dead dog on the floor. Now I know its only hair and it will grow out but it has been a year and my texurized hair looks like I have a Halloween witches wig on. I WOULD GIVE NEGATIVE 5 STARS IF IT WERE AN OPTION.

Crystal has been doing my hair for the past 8 months! My hair is not the easiest - it’s thick and curly and I need Keratin treatments every few months! Let me tell you she knows how to achieve the best results! My last treatment lasted 5 months and normally can’t make it 6 weeks! I would recommend anyone that does Keratin treatments to come see Crystal!

The front desk doesnt show the spa atmosphere that you expect. However, the massages are awesome. Very relaxing if you want a Swedish massage, and deep tissue gets all the tightness out of your muscles. You may hurt for a day or so afterwards, but relaxing in a tub of Epsom salts will take care of that problem. Deep tissue is always what I want as I have back and shoulder issues. Havent used their hair styling area, but other friends that go there love it!

Absolutely love this Salon!! Crystal is an absolute God send for me. I have extremely difficult hair and I never leave a salon happy but I always leave ESTATIC and extremely happy with my hair when I go to her. Shes sweet and great at what she does. I recommend this place to ANYONE who wants an awesome salon experience.

Just experienced my first prenatal massage with Goulds last week. It was just what I needed for this point in my pregnancy. I will most certainly be back before the end of it and in the future for more pampering!

I chose Crystal based on previous reviews and she did an OUTSTANDING job on my daighters hair. My daughter has thick wavy hair and she knew exactly how to cut it so she could wear it straight! I was so impressed, I asked her to trim mine too!

Facials & massages have always been awesome..cannot say enough about them..staff is always polite & helpful.. Have only been to a hairdresser once but was very pleased with that experience ... I am happy to have a Goulds Salon close by. Used to frequent them in Memphis often but this is so much more convenient. Will return as often as possible.

I went to salon on 6/21/16 for hair color and second color (purple). Within 2 weeks purple color gone. While I was there and after color put on, salon but like 3 razor cuts in my hair since my hair was just cut somewhere else. I was just informed that I was charged $105.00 and $20.00 for the second color. They said they would give me a $20.00 credit since color did not stay.Wow, I think I should have been informed of the 2-3 razor cuts!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Meowmy loves having her fur done by Miss Dawn. Over time Dawn has learned my Meowmy’s hair quirks and always makes her beautiful, even in humidity when her hair gets cranky.

My back hurt for 2 days after I had their massage. Not sure why that is. However, everyone was very nice, and the masseuse was good about massaging lighter or harder when asked.

My experince was with Crystal Nicole Kimble, she did an AMAZING job on my moms hair!! We did not think her hair was fixable but this lady did the unimaginable!! We are so pleased and my mom is loving life now lol. We have found our hairstylist!!!!!

I went for a spa day. Cost my husband nearly $200.00 I was getting my nails done and they offered me hot chocolate. Ewww there were bugs in it!!! The manager didnt even come speak with me and when I asked to speak to her when I went to pay she had left to get cleaning supplies. They gave me a measly 10 off my services and sent me a $25 gift card. The owner did call me personally and appologize (which was nice) but not the ending I wanted for a relaxing spa day. Otherwise the massage, facial, and nail services were good, but maybe you should bring your own drink.

So sweet, my body felt so good afterwards and my massage therapist was amazing. Relaxation massage is a way to go.

My experience here was amazing. I had Crystal and she did an ombre/balayage on my hair. It took 5 hours but it was worth it and she did everything possible to make my hair look like the picture I requested. I will definitely be coming back :)

Im a regular at the Goulds in Olive Branch even though I live in Cordova. I get a 1 hr massage and 30 minute reflexology session with Cheryl, who is an absolutely amazing massage therapist. She is highly professional and from day 1 made me feel comfortable and a believer in the benefits of massages and reflexology. I wouldnt go to anyone else. Thanks Cheryl for all you do!!

I only use Goulds spa services, so that is what this review is for. I went initially for a massage. I asked her to leave my legs alone. After explaining that I did not know how my neuropathy would react, she told me about reflexology. Oh my goodness! She was right. Reflexology changed my life by reducing my pain to very little and not constant.So, heading to Hot Springs, AR (spa capital of the South), I made a reflexology appointment at one of the leading spas. What a joke! Cheryl at Goulds Olive Branch cannot be beat.

The stylists do quite well with simple tasks like layers or trimming split ends but my appointment today had less that satisfactory results. I told the stylist specifically what I wanted and even showed her a picture of how I wanted my bangs multiple times (it was a picture of how Id gotten them done about a year ago by a different salon) and she said she could do it. She cut off way too much hair and my bangs, rather than being side bangs to the top of my cheek, are pretty much at my eyebrow. If you get your hair cut here and you want anything more than a trim, get one of the younger stylists to do your hair. They always do a much better job than the older women. Another inconvenience was that I had an appointment for five yet my stylist didnt get finished with her previous client until 5:20. That doesnt usually happen but I thought Id include it.

Frances is great. I was having really bad back pain, she focused on the areas that I was having trouble. She is very nice, professional, and experienced. The facility is always very clean and everyone is so nice.
