About a week or two ago, i wrote a review about how i was having several problems with USPS. one of those problems being that they bent my older brothers graduation pictures which clearly stated on both the front and back to not bend because the package contained pictures. i complained to the post office and all they said was sorry. sorry? sorry doesn’t fix anything. luckily, the photo company was kind enough to replace our photos. they sent the new replacement photos in a more protective package with a larger “photos do not bend” message on it. yet the post office still managed to bend it. the fact that they bent our pictures twice is just straight up ridiculous.

Cant hold a package at the post office to pick up myself or remove signature require for a $20 item. Cant sign online either. They rescheduled it for redelivery 7 days later instead of the next day. So I went out and bought it in store for a higher price. Now Ill have an extra I dont need. Thanks for nothing.

I used the self-service kiosk in the hallway last week on Wednesday in the middle of the week. I just happen to be in the neighborhood so I figured I would stop at this post office to avoid another trip. My package didn’t end up “getting scanned in” until the following Tuesday, nearly a week later.I run a small business and I sent packages out every day. By the time these packages were finally scanned in the packages I delivered on Friday from a different postal location had already arrived to their destinations within the 50 states. Absolutely ridiculous. I don’t know if they are shortstaffed or negligent but I will never stop in at this post office nor would I recommend it if you have any urgent needs.

Very poor customer service. Only one employee manning the counter and always have to wait 25-30 mins. I moved to a new house and no one had the key to the mailbox so PO was supposed to change the lock and get me a new key. It has been over a month. Nothing’s done. So frustrated with the bureaucracy!

Our mail carrier on several occasions has left our streets mail box open with all the residents mail mixed up and no way to close the box. I had to drive over to the Post Office today and ask for a supervisor since nobody answered the local phone number for the office.I really appreciate the hard work of Postal Workers, but something isnt right in our local PO and it needs fixing.

If you want great service, look for Quentin. He has amazing customer service skills and is a natural problem solver. Hes shipped so many tennis racquets for me thats hes my go to there. I rather wait 15 extra minutes in the line so I can get to his desk. Keep up the great work and hope your supervisor reads this and appreciates the great work you do!

The Mail Delivery person put that they could not make Delivery due to animals. Well, I dont have Animals. What I do have is a Camera that captures the cul-de-sac. I also was outside all day working on my lawn. So they lie about delivering packages so they dont have to work as much. Which forces you to go to the post office that Always has 2 overworked employees. If they only they knew their drivers were screwing them over.

I sent an item and payed extra for it to be sent In two days and it’s been 5 days and my item hasn’t even been shipped out of Kansas. When I asked for a refund for the fee I payed for of 2 day shipping; the manger would not provide a refund for the extra fee. Moreover, he wouldn’t check tracking and explain to me why the item hasn’t been shipped out of Kansas.If you are sending a shipment, don’t waste your money and time on this post office.

I have had to send many overseas packages over the past 3 years to my guy who deploys and I come here every single time. The same couple of sweet ladies help me each time and they are so nice and more than helpful, friendly and patient with the process. It’s so great to have such an awesome post office experience.. even when the line is out the door they are friendly and patient. I am so grateful.

This is mainly directed at the actual carrier(s) that handle South Hampton in Olathe. We are CONSTANTLY getting other peoples mail so Im sure to bet that our mail at times goes to someone else, and who knows if we ever see it!!!?? Our boxes are clearly marked with names so unless they cannot read, I dont know why this happens so much. I understand mistakes are made, but this happens frequently. They also lost a package of mine a couple of months ago so I went to the post office & they had me fill out a form THEY gave to me as I heard one of them mumble I aint never seen this form before, whered she get that??? So Im pretty sure Ill never get my package or get reimbursed. Also their latest trick is to PILE PACKAGES ON TOP OF ROWS OF MAILBOXES instead of leaving them at the doorstep. I have pics, Ive seen it twice recently. They are getting pretty bad all the way around, especially the actual carriers for South Hampton in Olathe!!!! Heres one pic, but I have more!!!

Absolutely the worst way on the planet to have to receive a parcel! Over the last two years, the U.S.P.S. has a 20% failure rate on my package deliveries. By failure, I mean total loss, major damage, or delivery to the wrong address, during which 75+% have gone to honest residents who have made sure we got the item. I am currently awaiting a delivery that is 5 days late, sitting in the local distribution center for close to a week. A delivery just arrived, which I hoped was it, but it was another late delivery, arriving in a destroyed box with the contents open, scrambled and damaged. Photos have been provided here. The Postal Service is ABSOLUTELY GARBAGE!

Its no wonder that USPS is getting put under by Fedex, UPS, DHL, and Amazon. You would think that a small package containing 4 N95 masks would fit in my apartment clusters large package lockers, but no. Every package that I have had sent to me through USPS has been held at a post office instead of actually delivered. So much for allowing people to stay at home in quarantine during a pandemic. Instead I have to leave work early to stand in line for 30 minutes at a crowded post office just to pick up one piece of mail. What an embarrassment of tax payer money.

This location has been understaffed for the past 14 years. Typically you can expect a 15-20 minute wait. I tend to think I got lucky when I see the parking lot empty, but it doesn’t matter. If there’s one person in front of you, you’ll somehow end up waiting for 15 minutes. I really wish I could get a job there and do so little. It’s a running joke in the area. I wonder how it feels to not care about what you do for a living.10/28/18 UpdateI was hoping to get a birthday card sent out later in the day (my fault that I was late). Post office picked up from my grocery store at 3 pm. So I came to this place. I needed 1 stamp. There were 4 cars in the parking lot and @ 5:10 pm when I arrived. I waited for 37 minutes for 4 people to use the “quick” automated machine in the lobby. Only to find out the last pickup time was 5 pm. Even in the drive-through.I think this location must be over some kind of a time stealing hole in space. It never fails to lose almost an hour here. This time for a $.50 stamp (which in itself is a rip-off).I stand by my assertion that anyone and everyone should avoid this place like it carries the plague!!!

Was expecting medication to be delivered on 5/20/2019. Didnt receive it, expected it might be late due to bad weather. Check the tracking number and it says they tried to deliver, but needed an authorized individual there to sign. I was home all day, no one ever knocked or rang the doorbell. I scheduled for redelivery. Its been marked as In Transit since 5/22. I called the post office and spoke with someone name Alex and she said that I wasnt home so it was brought back to the post office. I told her I rescheduled it for delivery, Ive been home all week, no one once came to my door. She didnt seem to care. Maybe had I not been sick and didnt want to leave the house, this wouldnt be such an annoyance. With USPS slowing dying due to the change of package delivery, youd think theyd make an effort to satisfy customers in an attempt to have them keep coming back. This is why Ill use anyone other than USPS if possible.

Id guess that about once a month I get mail from someone else or someone else gets my mail. Today, I was awaiting three packages that indicated that they would be delivered today. As you can note from the picture all three indicate they were delivered and left in my mailbox. None are there. In fact somehow one showed delivered in the future. I had checked my mailbox just past 5pm but the tracking number stated it was delivered at 5:12pm. 90 minute wait time through the 1-800 number. Managed to get a hold of the local branch. I guess I understand the attitude from Alex, with it being the holiday season. I expect they are under a lot of stress. I just really need the packages that were delivered to me. One being a very important package from the department of motor vehicles for the state of Kansas. I might lose my mind if the USPS expects me to return to the local DMV in order to get a replacement license plate.

Ive completed 2 international adoptions now - that means a lot (!) of trips to the post office - and am always pleased with the customer service at this branch. Thank you, ladies!

To wait 20 plus minutes to buy stamps is totally unacceptable. At this branch no one seems to care about their customer service. When I went there there were 3 employees helping customers but then two of them disappeared and the one that was still there got stuck for 20 minutes helping one customer. For 20 minutes the wait line grew longer and longer and nobody seemed to care. Whoever manages this office should be sent looking for another job. I have a feeling that the emplyees at this location hate their jobs but love their paychecks.

I went to request a mailbox key from them two weeks ago and they gave me a number to call back in around a week to get my mailbox key. I gave them a couple weeks buffer just in case and called in today to ask about my mailbox key. The lady that answered the phone was incredible rude to me and made it seem like I was causing her problems by calling in about my mailbox key. She refused to to give me any information on when and how I would ever receive my mailbox key as well.

Its your typical USPS experience. The customer service is exemplary. Typically busy, and as a result of this, the line moves at a snails pace. But they get the job done! The parking situation can be chaotic, to say the least, during peak hours. There are multiple accessibility-friendly parking spaces and postal machines in the building as well.

I walked in there to inform them that I had live birds coming in. My mother was out of town, so I had to be sure they knew who to call when they arrived. When I walked in, it looked like nobody was happy to be there. I walked up to the desk, happy that my birds would be there soon, and was greeting with a frown. She didnt say hello. I told her I had live birds coming in the next day and that I would need her to call my number when they did. She looked at me as if I were insane and took down my information. She was confused, understandably, you dont usually come across a parcel full of live birds, I could imagine. I had an email that had the shipping information on it and I asked if that would help. She glared at me and said, no. She said she would give my information to her supervisor, gave me back my ID, and said, next. It might not seem that important, but I would have at leastexpected some common courtesy.

Over 2 weeks ago they supposedly tried to deliver my package Notice Left (No Authorized Recipient Available), yet no one rang the door and there was no notice left on that day. I scheduled a re-delivery for the next day, then nothing for 2 weeks. All of a sudden today, I check the tracking and it says theyve returned the package to sender. I am under no obligation to pick up the slack for a lazy lying postal service, and for my shipping charge to essentially be stolen by them.

I came here today to ship a package with no return address and the lady with long white hair told me I was required with a return address, but last Tuesday when I was there to ship a no return package, I wasnt informed that it was required and was able to ship my package with no difficulties. I just think that its ridiculous to make it a requirement to write a return address when personally I prefer to keep privacy and if the package gets lost and goes to the dead post office, well then thats something that I have to deal with and oh well!

Now I have to explain to my 3 year old nephews why their presents are locked in a box that nobody can seem to figure out how to get in to. This location tried to charge be over 3.00 to ship a card that was odd shaped, went to another post office and was mailed for under a dollar. The after hours drop box in the lobby has been jammed EVERY SINGLE TIME I COME TO DROP MY EBAY SHIPMENTS. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I cannot make it during hours of operation and with Ebay shipments needing to arrive by a certain date, it is hugely a serious inconvenience. FIX IT. These clients pay enough in shipping I should be able to drop it off, yet have to run the risk of it not even allowing me to drop them off after driving all the way to the po.

There should be negative stars in the review. Almost 20 percent of my mails is being regularly delivered to my neighbors mail box because we have a common mail system in the community. Some time they return the emergency mail because with notice could not be delivered as addressed and the item is being returned to the sender even though there is nothing wrong in the address. I wonder how this office is still existing.

We love Dr Oltjen. He does an outstanding job. But whoever he’s hired new at the front desk needs some help. Every time I call in there she treats me like I’m the child. It’s so Irritating!! Then she made my appointment for Olathe instead of Overland Park and blamed it on me We never go to Olathe. I dread going in there. I need to make another appointment. When I told her I’d make my other appointments when I came in she said, “Now you make sure you stop by the front desk and make those appointments”. Oh brother. I’m not the child!!!!

I have lived here since 11/14, since I do ebay and live close to the post office, all of my packages come directly here. Since leaving North Carolina, I have had an abundance of packages lost or stolen and must be directly related to this post office here as I take them inside the building and drop them in the box. I have complained multiple times and was advised of follow ups, but has never happened, I dont recommend using this particular post office.

What is wrong with service? Just found out my nephew didnt receive his xmas card and money until January 12th and it was mailed at the post office 3 blocks from his home a week before Christmas. I have been waiting for a card delivered from Kansas City MO to Olathe KS for over a week now. I understood that it is the holiday season and gave them the benefit of the doubt thinking they were just extremely busy. Obviously this holiday card has money in it. I called and the lady told me some people have sticky fingers, or sometimes it gets stuck in the machine. First off, dont you think that people regular mail should be tracked as well or is it just okay with you that people stuff just doesnt show up? Second of all, why are you so okay to say that some people just have sticky fingers? If YOU have someone who has sticky fingers working for the USPS maybe you should figure out who has those sticky fingers and get rid of them! I am beyond frustrated and irritated. I have never had a problem with the USPS until I moved to Olathe. Maybe your employees that have those sticky fingers can pay me my couple hundred dollars that was supposed to be delivered days ago!

Yesterday I was told it would cost $1.20 to mail my invitations (after the woman telling me I should redesign the whole thing so it will slide through the slot to save money). I was told there is a $1.20 international stamp, but that they were out. Then I was sent to another post office who told me they were also out of the stamps. So I called the corporate number and was told the entire country was out of $1.20 stamps. So today I went in to buy $0.49 stamps and $0.71 stamps, but was told they were also out of the $0.71 stamps, and was sent to yet another post office. HOW DOES THE POST OFFICE RUN OUT OF STAMPS?!!

Certainly the WORST USPS postal service in the USA. A package was posted on July 20, 2016 from Paris, France. Arrival in Olathe, Kansas on July 28, 2016. Address error. It can happen. However, the package includes the phone number of the recipient and the Postal agent has the OBLIGATION to call to the phone number if there is a problem for the international shipments. HE DID NOT. On August 4, 2016, the recipient called to the USPS of Olathe, Kansas about his parcel. The USPS pretended the parcel was returned. In fact, it was done on August 12. We are on August 16 and we still not received the parcel. I do not thank the efficiency of the services of USPS Olathe.

I was at this location for the first time today - March 17th - I was #9 in line - waited 15 minutes before I got to the counter. There was ONE person behind the counter, no attempt was made to call anyone to the front to clear out the waiting line.Once I got the counter clerk, I discovered I was missing a form (which is not referenced anywhere in the FAQ about EEDM). I spent another 25 minutes with someone who was floating in the lobby asking people if they had something to pick up or otherwise answering peoples questions; she was unable to answer any questions definitively and had to go get a cheat sheet about EEDM. If this is supposed to be so easy,why is it no one knows anything about it. I had only made two trips to other branches with questions. When I was shown the face slip, nothing was said about another stupid form. I asked her if everyone called in sick today. She responded by saying it was above her pay grade as to why someone is required to float while people are standing in line. When I left there were 12 people in line.This is so beyond outrageous. Whoever is responsible for this gross mismanagement of personnel should be fired. They are so overpaid for so little work or creating work atmosphere that has the reputation of being the worst place to work, even outpacing the IRS or Department of Commerce.

With the exception of maybe one, and that is generous, the people who deliver our mail are extremely rude. The most recent driver drove up and laid on his horn because there was a truck parked in front of our house...NOT blocking the mailboxes, but a little too far back for the driver to be able to deliver the mail from his truck. He had to get out. While I understand that is not something they want to do and it slows them down, this was a one time incidence on our part. There is hardly ever a car parked there. The owner of the vehicle happened to be home and ran out to move it, and the mail delivery person proceeded to yell at him for his truck being in front of our house instead of thanking him for coming to move it and kindly explaining the 30 rule (which we didnt know about). He threatened to not deliver our mail or our neighbors mail (the neighborhood boxes are in front of our house) if this ever happens again. Kindness would go a long way in this instance. Rudeness is instead the norm.
