We booked a LTL shipment with Saia and paid extra to request a delivery appointment at the time of delivery. Saia decided to take the discretion and show up without a delivery appointment. We were fortunately able to accommodated their unannounced delivery. After the fact of delivering, Saia had the audacity to charge us $130 in detention fees for taking 30 minutes extra to accommodate their unscheduled delivery. Our dispute of the charge was denied with the explanation that if their unscheduled delivery was an inconvenience, we should have turned them away. This company is unprofessional and unethical to say the least, taking full advantage of the current distress in the logistical environment.
As others have shared, our shipment is late. The product has been in the city since Thursday and was promised on Friday afternoon. It is Tuesday, and our product is somewhere in the system, but Saia has no idea where it is and cant give an update on when it will actually be delivered. In the meantime, I cannot schedule an installation because Saia is too busy blaming the computer rather than trying to figure out where the product is and get it delivered. Id drive over to get it myself, but Saia doesnt have any idea where the product is.
Great and friendly staff. Freight was in good shape with no damage. Loaded quickly and professionally. Kudos to a great company.

Tracked one of our deliveries that said it would be delivered to us on Friday, then tracked it again late Friday for it to be changed to Monday, tracked it on Monday to see it has been sitting in the warehouse the entire weekend and the delivery changed to Tuesday, tracked it again today showing I need to call about it. This is the 4th time this has happened to us and each time we have to go to the terminal to pick it up because it’s just sitting there. Worst trucking company ever!!
Driver was very rude and unprofessional, called talked to customer service they just made excuses and said they would have manager call never did. A week later same driver shows up same bad attitude and thought we should stop unloading another truck to unload him as soon as he pulled in.
We had a shipment that left on a Monday and was supposed to be here Wednesday. On Wednesday, it got changed to Thursday, on Thursday changed to Friday. Meanwhile we have a customer foaming at the mouth because of their incompetence. On Thursday, when I called, they said that after all the drivers left, they realized they forgot to load our product and assured me it would be here Friday. On Friday, it tracked for Monday. OMG to make a long story short...WE HAD TO GO PICK IT UP OURSELVES AT THE TERMINAL. So as I read another review earlier...if you want the worst experience, choose this company. Otherwise, there are many other choices out there.
If youre looking for the worst customer experience you will ever receive then look no further. They were so rude that eventually I just asked what it would take to have another company ship my order from the supplier. Completely fed up with the entire situation, I called the supplier and got a refund for my order and took my business elsewhere. I hope they reconsider who they have ship their orders.
I would be very careful letting this company deliver anything to you. I used them for years but about a month ago they damaged a fence and will not pay to repair it even know I have a eyewitness of them doing it and pictures they still refuse to pay for the damage! I guess I’ll get an attorney and go the difficult route!!
The company I work for has a customer in Iowa who we ship things to regularly and there has NEVER been damage. Also, the shipment to Iowa is delivered within 3 days. SAIA is one of my favorites.

Missed delivery date with nothing that they can do due to their process despite me calling in the morning in regards to delivery status and eta. I was incorrectly informed that it will be early afternoon. They also cannot give me an eta for tomorrow.

Worst customer service in the industry.Went to pick up a pallet at their dock in OKC as a result of delays. After being told the pallet would deliver for the past 4 days we are still waiting for them to find the trailer in their yard!We have had 3 pallets “lost in transit” over the past 4 weeks.....how do you loose a 3000lb pallet? We have requested that our suppliers NEVER use SAIA again and I recommend everyone reading this does the same!
Product never shows up when it should. Most of the time shows up damaged. Not worth the risk

Was told 3 times “the product will deliver to your warehouse tomorrow.” Went to the dock to be told, “if you didn’t pick this up today you wouldn’t see this for 4-8 more days!”. Terrible service and not upfront.
They constantly lose pallets, deny they lost those pallets until we go to pick up the freight ourselves. Then we have to reorder the material. Overall. They suck
